I've been going to this location for the last ten years and it's certainly a spot not to be missed. Located in a problematic part of East Salem (sorry not sorry, I live in the neighborhood), you walk in and are greeted with booths, a bar, and a delightful conveyor belt with different choices of sushi, salads, and desserts. I absolutely love the options they have; my favorite is the salmon nigiri as well as the sweet tempura shrimp roll. The ambience is calm and cultural, they have Japanese favorites like Ramune and "Rooster sauce". The staff is so friendly and are ready to assist in any way possible. If you don't see what you want on the belt, they'll make it for you, all you have to do is ask. I recommend this place if you want some quality sushi in a hurry. I go for an appetizer before having dinner at home, sometimes I'll go just for dinner and treat myself. It's a really great place to dine. A true gem in the Valley. read more

Their food is great. But I had my sibling go in today and we ordered a lot of food and asked for 10 spicy mayos and the lady told them we'll give you 3 we can't do 10. And that's perfectly fine but the attitude she said it with and the fact she kept repeating it was rude & uncalled for. They're very stingy we stopped coming here because the way they behave when they serve you and how they seem bothered when you try to order more food, it was random and on the way to where we were going which is why we ordered our food today from here. The nastiest sushi I have ever eaten in my life. Every sushi had a strange taste, like the rice was standing in old water. Just terrible, and I am not picky and was very hungry at the moment (would have ate anything). On top if that, inside was 90 degrees and all the sushi was WARM. They said it was in the dishwasher- ok, so give me something else to use. A bowl? My brother sometimes get me lunch and I love the salmon nigiri. Their portions of fish is actually pretty big to my surprise! I also got their seared salmon and that was good as well. I also ordered a volcano roll, but I swear it was like a shrimp tempura with tuna I believe? Maybe it was wrong order haha but the roll wasnt bad. They do drown to rolls in sauce so its that type of sushi place. For something cheap and quick, I think this is pretty good in my book. They not skimpy with the fish! read more

Great convienent location. They have a conveyer belt so you can dine in or if your always on a go like me you can get some to go. They usually have the same sushi selection each day but the selection is decent and so are the prices. This place is nasty. Avoid this place. We were in town wanting sushi. Unfortunately, the original place we wanted to go to was closed. The next place had a 40 min wait. So we ending up here due to it being the only place near by open. The sushi rice was super mushy and old tasting. The covers for the sushi was so gross, you couldn't even tell what sushi was in the dish. I've never had such horrible sushi before. Pros: very cheap, quick and decent service Cons: not very good quality, could not see through the tops of the containers at all so couldn't see what you were getting unless you lift the top off which you're not supposed to do. If i could give 0 stars i would. Worst service I've ever received. Took 15 minutes before a server even came to see us, and that was only because i waved her down. I would have understood if they were busy but we were 1 of maybe 3 groups. And then we had to wait another 10 minutes to remind them to bring us water. JUST WATER. They forgot every one of our orders so we had to remind them for every time. Don't forget we had no chopsticks or dipping sauce bowls, so we couldn't even eat off the conveyer belt. I have been here a couple times now, three total to give this sushi a fair chance and everytime I have came to eat, I'm not impressed with the food nor the service. They have a very limited selection on the belt, only two or three rolls to choose from. While you can order any roll you'd like, they are slow and just to wave someone down is a chore. I really want to come here and see this place packed, I've been here three times and every time, the place is dead. It kills me, not because I'm a masochist, who loves waiting for a table, but because the food here is excellent. This sushi is as fresh as it gets. The prices here are amazing, they've got a happy hour running pretty much all day from what I gather, every thing on their conveyor belt is $1.85 or less. Even without their extended hours "happy hour", this place still has great prices, though I've never seen them on my bill. Seeing customers return and the host making them feel welcome puts this rotary sushi joint on top of the list in Salem. The Sushi in my opinion is better than the other belts. First time here, the place looked awesome inside. Besides that it was kinda a let down with the service. It was around dinner time (on a Friday night) and they only had one server on the floor and doing the cash register. She didn't look too happy but I could understand if I was out there on the floor being slammed with guest coming in for dinner all by myself. For a conveyer belt, style sushi place the food was alright. There was a little too much rice on the sushi, especially the nigri which made me full too quick. The fried calamari was half the quantity that you usually get vs other conveyer belt style sushi places. Food tasted not as fresh compared to other places of this nature as well. This place isn't considered new anymore, but still seems to have quite a few hiccups to work out. I'll come back in a few months and see if they have worked out all the kinks. I used to work at a sushi restaurant with different standards so my views on this could be a little skewed. None the less, this was my personal view on the place as a guest. Keep improving guys! Came with my wife and daughter. My daughter loves sesame seed balls. These didn't disappoint. She gets the same thing at sushi kyo. These were fresher, and were full of the sweet red bean paste. Her habit is to not let a single sesame seed escape her clutches. We like pickled cucumber. I prefer it on the tart side. These are on the sweet side. But I could taste the sesame seeds they used . . . Which made them very enjoyable. The conveyor belt makes for a quick meal and inexpensive given their happy hour prices throughout the whole day. But they have specialty rolls that are prepared as whole rolls and not on the happy hour menu. Haven't tried this yet. We ordered tempura shrimp. Freshly battered and cooked crisp and perfect (not over cooked or chewy). Delicious. However they didn't have tempura sauce. I asked for some and was informed it would take 15 minutes to make. It isn't traditional but I dipped my tempura in some soy. We ordered the miso soup. Strong dashi taste which I prefer. Seaweed and a few small squares of soft tofu added to my joy. A few other random plates: calamari, cucumber rolls, California rolls. The establishment was clean. High booths (I'm short. My feet didn't touch the ground when I was sitting), firm cushions. Bar seating that could probably seat 12. Half though would not be facing the sushi chefs. We'll come back. I think I'll try the spider roll. read more

Pros: -Super cheap lunch special which pretty much runs all day. -Variety of sushi, allows you to try new things. -Don't have to commit to a whole roll as portions are 3-4 pieces per platter -Can order anything on menu if it's not on conveyor belt for lunch special price. -Have other things like pot stickers on the conveyor belt. Cons: -How do they know how long the sushi has been on the belt for...seriously there is no way to track it....I've asked! They had a nice variety of rolls with lots of flavor. $1.50-1.85 a plate, our bill was $17 and we left with full bellies.
