This hair salon just opened in Fair Oaks. I had an appointment with the owner, Eileen, who I have been seeing for color appointments for several years. She recently opened this salon after leaving her previous station at Sanctuary Salon & Spa in the Birdcage shopping center off of Sunrise. Walk-ins are welcome upon availability. The reception area is welcoming and clean. Coffee, water bottles, and candy are available to clients at the coffee bar. Each station has big comfy chairs and shelves for the clients to place their personal items. There is also a barber station. The shampoo station chairs are also comfortable and the wash basins are nice quality...it doesn't feel like you are leaning back into a kitchen sink like other salons. Eileen is a top-notch colorist and she has taken my hair from natural medium-brown hair to blonde, pink, purple, and most recently, a blue and turquoise ombré. Although most clients don't want alternative colors, she is really skilled at blending fun colors and making them look amazing. She takes time during her initial consultation to make sure she understands what the clients want. For example, I noticed that one of the colors I had gotten in a previous session seemed to fade faster than my other colors, so she suggested a more pigmented shade so it would last longer. I was really pleased with the result, and the new color did last longer. Eileen has also worked with me to make sure my hair is cut exactly the way I want it. I do vintage hair styling on my hair, which requires special "middy" or horseshoe style haircuts. I came prepared with diagrams and photos, and she was more than happy to look at them and help me get the result I wanted. I have been so pleased with my hair since I have been going to Eileen. Visiting Love ME Salon for the first time was a relaxing and revitalizing experience. read more

I have been going to Eileen for a few years now she is fantastic for all types of hair. I have very curly hair but baby fine she is the master of the round brush (which is a lost art) most of the stylist use a flat brush to dry hair. I booked my appointment with Love ME through Yelp (first time trying that) and they responded within 20 mins for later that week with Mykelle. I wanted a trim and touch up of my highlights for my wedding in 6 weeks, so this was a big task, but Mykelle was up to the task! She took the time to really make sure she understood what I wanted for my highlights, even taking out a color palette to pinpoint it. She explained everything along the way, and was very easy to have a conversation with. I LOVE my hair and will be coming back for toner right before the big day. Iv been getting my hair done with Eileen for the past 4 yrs since I moved to sac love her she always gets what I want to get done with my hair and does even a better job then the pics I show her of hair styles I want. Once I walked in, I fell in love with the salon. It's so nice and modern.... Christina did my hair. Honestly, I felt like she did it in a rush. She did not blend out the bleach good. I have blotchy spots on my hair. And it wasn't the color I wanted. It looked no where like the picture I have showed her. I was unsatisfied with my hair. I've been constantly texting her repeatedly asked if she can fix my hair of give me at leave half my money back. I've paid $140 and I am not satisfied with my hair. I did not like how she blended my hair. It was supposed to be balayage, but it just looked like an all over color. I would not recommended going to Christina. So unprofessional.... I went in to see Mykelle and had the best experience! She gave me a great cut but what I really loved was the color! She worked with me take my summer look (brown with balayage blonde) to the fall! We ended up going dark violet that shows up differently (she took the time to put three different tones on different sections of my hair so it shows up well!) in the light. I contacted Christina after seeing her reviews, I'm sure she does great work. My issue came when I made my appointment I confirmed with her twice the date and time I would be meeting her for my balayage appointment. I drove 40 min to the salon, arrived early, and waited until 9am which was our scheduled time. 9:05 came around and I text her to see if she was running late. No reply. So I waited 10 more minutes and tried calling her phone. Her phone went straight to voice recording. I called her cell phone 7 different times and also made an attempt to call the salon directly to see if anyone was inside but failed all 8 times. I waited outside the salon until 9:35 and then decided to drive back home another 40 min. Again, there is not doubt in my mind this girl knows how to do hair. My issue is the lack of punctuality and professionalism in this individual and her business. After doing some more research I came across a review from someone that had the same issue with Christina. Please do not treat clients this way who are trying to give YOU money. read more
