The salon has the best price points compared to other stylists, great conversation and cute salon! I met star at work, she is a coworker.... Long story short I started trimming my hair and messed it up...Lol. Mostly because I had let it go natural and it was so hard to style. My grey hair was so hard to style... Also I had taken a fall and I'm having some work done on my teeth and I don't feel as confident in myself. Ladies understand the following: When you find a stylist that can cut and color your hair exactly how you want it you will walk through fire to follow her wherever she may go. And so my lovely Star has led me to the Fox & Hair. This salon is tiny and charming. They only do hair. No smelly nail stations here. Just a few gals who decided to be their own bosses and go out on their own. I can definitely support that. It may be a little difficult to find the first time... just look for Kidwell Glass as it's right next door. Plenty of parking. Appointments are highly recommended unless it's Sunday when one of the girls is available for walk-ins. read more

I gave Star a huge challenge, hair that has not been cut correctly in over a year, tons of grey and I had been using crappy box dye for far too long. She not only fixed my hair, it has never looked so beautiful and healthy. She cut my hair perfectly. She was fun, kind, fast, and an amazing price. Star is awesome! She has been doing my hair for years. When she moved locations (from Folsom to Orangevale; just a skip and a jump) I had NO reservations about continuing to follow her. The shop is adorable and decorated so cute! There are no "airs" here at all. Star is NOT pretentious but very, very warm and very welcoming. Her colleague Ann is excellent as well. I have been going to Ann ever since I was a little kid. My mom and all my sisters see her. She will work with you and listen to get your style just the way you want it, along with providing really useful recommendations! The new salon is very homey and relaxing with its decor, I enjoy how it's not too busy like other salons with nails, waxing, etc going on- they just do hair. It really is a great little place to go if you want your hair done right, and for a reasonable price! read more
