My son was making a sushi run and brought me back a tuna roll. For himself it was shrimp and salmon rolls, as well as a bowl of ramen. I was a bit hesitant to try anything from this restaurant again, after a less than favorable food experience there several years back. But my sons have always enjoyed eating here so a second try was in order. Takeout, and on my son's return I relished those 6 pieces of sushi and wished I'd asked him to bring me more. Maybe the tuna this time was the difference from the spicy tuna I ordered last time. But it could have been just them having a bad day. I'm just glad I gave them another try.

Prices have surely gone up. And it's nearly at the point it's just too much for what you get. I hope prices stay the same. Or even more deals to make me even come back for more. Portion sizes have also decreased. But as mentioned, still really enjoyed the food.

First time ever trying this place even though I grew up in SCV. I must say I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered the orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, sashimi, sushi, fried gyoza, and 4 different kinds of rolls. Our stomachs were full and happy! The orange and teriyaki chicken were very tasty. The fish for the sushi and sashimi were good quality and the rolls were as expected for a sushi place. It seems like the cup bop is quite popular so I will be trying that the next time. I am also looking forward to trying the udon and ramen as I love me some noods. The food is reasonably priced even with the current inflation and the quality was good as well. I recommend this hidden gem if you're looking for a quick bite for some sushi or Asian food. Cheers! read more

I'll start and say the food is good but beyond that not worth it and would never be back. This place needs to get their online order situation worked out. What you select online is different from what the restaurant receives. I asked for a refund and the young man at the register went in the back and came back out and said they can't do that. I demanded the owner, who was in the kitchen, and she came out and immediately processed the refund for our incorrect order. The owner should be ashamed that she would not come out to address their incorrect order and that she would send somebody else out to represent the business and deny a refund. Ultimately she proceeded to give the refund however I'll watch the bank because I do not trust her or this business after my experience. Do not support this place! read more

I've been going to Rolla for about 5 years and I've only ever gotten one thing being the teriyaki chicken and beef bowl with vegetables and rice. It has always been fire every single time. Great service and always quick preparing the order as well as never once getting my order wrong either. I would highly recommend it. read more

My go-to place if I'm craving something quick and comforting! Rolla has amazing, fast service and the lady who works in front is always so kind. I always get the cup bop, which is a generously filled customizable bowl. Additionally, pricing for a cup bop is only around $10, which is great for the high quality and quantity of food! This little place is so cute and yummy!! The nicest workers behind the counter taking your order. It is super affordable with big enough portions. It all feels healthier and more homemade than the big chains. I ordered the orange chicken and beef bowl with white and fried rice and some California Rolls, it was all so good and I know my boyfriend really liked his food as well. This neighborhood spot satisfies an Asian craving. The food is good and they are reasonable. The couple who own it are really nice and accommodating. They have a variety of different foods from sushi rolls to with their version of bimibap bowls. Actually they are fun to eat because you can add what you want to the bowl and put a variety of Asian flavors together. I appreciate a sole proprietor who treats people well and I will continue to visit them. I appreciate having them in the neighborhood. Good food and good people. read more

I didn't even get to try the food. I asked the lady who took my order what came with the spicy tuna tempera roll. She told me and I said ok. What she failed to tell me was it was going to be covered in some Mayo sauce or whatever it was. There was no description on the menu as well. I get home and find it's covered in spicy Mayo. Thanks for telling me . I had to throw it away and get dinner from another place. I'm pissed!!!! First and last time. read more

I'm still in the middle of trying to determine the stars.. I called, gave my address and was advised delivery was fine. My guests showed up, we tried to add onto the order and was advised I was actually out of the delivery range so they would take cook the additional order and deliver it. Fine. I ordered teriyaki "prawns".... feel free to see my picture to know what I received was not a prawn. The shrimp did not taste marinated long enough so I basically paid 9 bucks for the little shrimp u get at the grocery store in the bulk bag for 7 bucks..doused in teriyaki. There is a fishy after taste on these doggone shrimp!. *sigh* Food wasn't good. The delivery lady was nice though. read more

Honestly if I could give this 0 stars I would. First, as soon as I pulled up I immediately noticed how sketch & dirty the outside of the store looked but I figured I'd give it a shot since appearances aren't always everything. Let me to tell you, walking in was even worse. The place looked filthy & there were flies flying around everywhere which is disgusting especially for a place that sells sushi BUT still I proceeded to order since I was already there. I went the safe route & ordered the #57 (California Roll (8pcs) + Spicy Tuna Roll (8pcs) + Crunch Roll (6pcs) $14.50. The service was pretty slow there was almost no one in the place & it still took about 30 min. After finally receiving my order I went to try it & was immediately dissatisfied. The tempura in the crunch roll was literally rock hard it tasted like it had been over cooked & then left out to sit for a week & the other rolls had no flavor & tasted off. Literally Mc Donald's has better quality then this place. I absolutely do NOT recommend eating here. If you're thinking about going here save yourself the trouble & don't. read more

I love sushi! I feel like it's either a love hate for most people haha but I can't get enough. I have the sushi sensei badge to prove it.. This place is 2 minutes from where I live so I love the convenience. The quality of sushi isn't top tier but for a small place stuck in a retail shopping space it's very good! I am mostly a fan of their lunch specials only. Everything on the specials menu is under $10 but the hours are only 11 - 3:30pm. Instead of getting an 8 piece sushi roll of one type of sushi for around $7 dollars you can pay about the same and get double the amount plus choices of 3 different sushi types. Cheap sushi that gives you a variety can be hard to find so I really like this place. the only reason this gets a 4 star is because the quality isn't the best but it's good enough to come back! read more

I saw the sign, "Orange chicken bowl + drink $3.99." And it opened up my eyes. I saw the sign. You know when you just want sushi, super fast and you don't want to pay out the wazoo? Think Rolla Sushi. PROS: Good sushi (not Sugarfish by Sushi Nozawa but what is?). Quick (like the second you sit down it's ready). And very inexpensive (California roll 3 for $9.99 kind of inexpensive). CONS: "Chinese" food (their Kung Pao chicken is their Orange chicken drenched in spicy.) Their undercooked Boba. I waited two hours for an order once again. Based on my recent visit, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business to friends or family. Yes, it was Father's Day, however, this isn't the first time I've had the same experience. Just figure this out, please. Sushi is good but not worth the long wait. It's unfortunate to see how much this place has gone downhill.

I ordered the Ananto Special Dinner bowl for my wife to go but because it was for dine in only, chef asked if I wanted to get sashimi instead with a side of rice, which I agreed to. As he was slicing chutoro, he mentioned what it was and I told him that was my favorite cut. Not expecting anything, he gave us a slice and it was melt in your mouth goodness! My friend and I continued to catch up and one of the outgoing guests bought him a glass of beer. Being grateful for the chutoro, I decided to order hot sake and share it with him. Instead of placing the dishes on the table, the server just handed everything to me directly. I had to take every single plate and set it down on the table myself. I'm not sure if the server was untrained or just lazy, but my wife and I could only laugh at how absurd it was. To top it all off, the sushi we ordered at the very beginning never arrived, even after we had finished all our other food. It was clear they completely forgot about it, so we just asked for the check, paid, and left. This was our first time here, and we definitely won't be coming back.

Flavorful, chicken cooked perfectly and not sitting in an overly creamy sauce. I also enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, crisp and lovely, and upon inquiry, learned it is not available in stores! I'll probably be back for a glass or two of wine at the very least!

We arrived earlier at 6:45pm, but we were super hungry. In the same plaza, we found this little restaurant! Checked the reviews on Yelp and thought it was worth a try! I'm so glad we stopped by! The service was super fast and the fish was pretty fresh. I would recommend the spicy tuna roll and the sunkist roll. I don't recommend the mixed sushi set (6pcs). The fish was not as fresh. The lunch deals looked very good and affordable. I think we want to try out their lunch specials as well. We are definitely coming back when we are craving some rolls! I can't, even on my worst day, complain about anything at this local mom & pop eatery.
