I've ordered carry out a couple times from here based on a friend's recommendation and it's close to the pad. I'd say worth the money in the past but my last carry out order was not a good experience. I ordered from the website which is easy to use. Got about $38 worth of food, a beef ramen dumpling soup and couple of rolls. They had it ready on time, grabbed it and headed home. Opened the bag to find they did not give me any soy sauce! I mean come on! Every order should have soy sauce right? And of course didn't have any in the fridge. I called them to let them know and the dude on the phone just gave me the silent treatment. All's I wanted was oops sorry but not even that! i can't eat rolls without soy sauce so had to run back out. I accidentally left this review on another sushi places Yelp page that's similar in name. Whoops!! Where to begin? My friend and I decided to take our kids to lunch and the thought of sushi and teriyaki chicken proved too much to resist!! So, off to Love Sushi we went!! We were greeted immediately and given a booth/table combo, which is great for us, having 3 kids aged 6 and under! After our server brought our drinks, my over-anxious son was a little too excited over lemonade and getting a shot at some edamame, he accidentally spilled his entire lemonade (soooooo embarrassing!). Eddie, the manager quickly carne over and insisted upon cleaning it all up himself, even though we offered. A replacement lemonade was there before we knew it!! We ordered 4 rolls and 2 teriyaki chicken lunch specials, which is less than $10 for soup, salad, rice and a sizable portion of teriyaki chicken, what a great deal! (ESPECIALLY because my no good bestie NEVER offers to payl!!) The rolls were great tasting and fresh, the salads, soup and chicken were fantastic as always! Even with 2 six year olds and a 2 year old splitting two orders, there was PLENTY left over!! (Which is GREAT for me, as NOW, I DON'T have to make dinner now!! As we were finishing up, Eddie the manager brought over 3 little sweet treats for our little ones to enjoy, what a sweet gesture. After beating up Gary and explaining to him that the treats were for the KIDS and NOT HIM, the little ones enjoyed their desert! "Irasshaimase!" Its been a while since I've had sushi and I'm glad I went to this place to reconnect with Japanese cuisine. The sushi rolls were wonderful in taste and the freshness was evident. This place is known for huge rolls, although I did prefer more bite-sized pieces. Greetings were loud (as it should be), and service was great. It was nice to see/use the service call button on our table, and complimentary edamame before our dinner. Prices are reasonable. Their chef specialty rolls are inventive and spectacular (looking). I dabbled with the Sunset Roll, American Roll, and Dragon Roll. With those, I sure did have my fair share of avocado, eel, and shrimp tempura intake. Some of my other favorites are the Negihama maki (yellow tail with green onion), Spider roll, Salmon Skin hand roll, and Spicy Tuna hand roll with crunch in a soy bean wrapper. They raised the prices on their rolls and sushi. And so it is no different from other sushi places. The quality of their fish is not bad, and quite a few of the rolls are really good. My favorite as of right now is their crazy spicy roll (AWESOME crazy sauce on top), and their 911 if you add sliced jalapeno on top. I also really enjoy their heart attack (jalapeno with spicy tuna and cream cheese). Their service is also awesome! ONE IMPORTANT ADVICE: ask for no sauce or sauce on the side for the chef specialty rolls. They usually put a little too much sauce for my taste so all the rolls end up tasting the same. I know there are people that LOVE eel sauce and stuff... but I like to taste the fish and sushi rice. read more

The sushi has always been tasty and it's why we go back. Our favorites- White love roll: Deep fried, spicy tuna on top, and sauce that you want to tip your plate up and drink once you're done. Spicy tuna hand roll: It's seriously been our quest to find the best tasting and best priced one. Out of the 15 or so we've tried at various places, this one's the best. House salad: I know it's just a salad but the dressing is fantastic. Worth a 4.95 try. The service is what kills this place. Half the time it's ok, the other half is bad (ok, really bad). As part of a group of 16 planning to celebrate a milestone birthday, with a reservation made in person the day before to ensure that we had a table - to find out that our RESERVATION was given to another group because "they were very demanding" is beyond ridiculous. Our group showed up on time, before the time we reserved, but was told that our table was given to another group without a reservation because they complained loudly. The restaurant explained that we could wait for a table to clear up and they would seat us. With 16 people, at dinner time, this is not realistic. That's why reservations are made. As Jerry Seinfeld famously said, "See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them." Place has lost the business of all 16 people planning to dine last night. Just like the Canyon Country location, I can always count on Love sushi to fulfill my sushi craving. Their service may even be a touch faster. Always fresh. I usually stick to the hand rolls and sashimi and I'm not disappointed. The other rolls have too much going on, but can be worth it every once in awhile and if sharing with a few people. Sushi not the same: I'm not really sure what happened to this place but it sure has gone down hill. Cold Sushi is warmer than it should. Almost like their cooler isn't working in the display case. Lobster was eliminated which I soon found out was crawfish they were trying to pass as lobster. They did that for years. Now they tell you its crawfish. At least they made that change. New seating allows for much more room. Not terrible, but not great either. read more

This was unexpectedly the best sushi I have had in a while! It wasn't my first choice but the place I wanted to go was closed and I am so happy for that! I will definitely be frequenting this place from now on since it is down the street from where I stay. I sat at the bar and was greeted with such friendly service! I ordered the himachi, sake and unagi nigiri and the Love Special and Poke hand roll which were way bigger than I expected! I had to take one to go. They gave complimentary edamame and made sure my hot green tea stayed full! I even got a cute little complimentary dessert of apples with peanut butter and chocolate. This spot would have had 5 stars if only we were not rushed to order. They were open for another 30 min, we were just looking to get a few rolls...but were rushed to order. The food was on definite point. Got the sexy lady roll, crunchy scallop roll and the seared tuna sashimi. Probably would have gotten more but were rushed with our order. Will definitely try this spot again, hopefully they get that last star, I have no doubts. The flavors of the sauces was freaking amazing! The portion sizes to the prices were spot on. The sushi here is mouth-watering. Portions are generous; not your traditional sushi place, but the food is excellent! Everyone seems to complain about the service. Well, they're really busy because their food is so good. There are little buttons on the table to call a server over if you need them. Don't just sit there - use the button! And, really, the waitresses are friendly if you smile at them and be civil. Otherwise, they appear quiet and "modest" in that Asian fashion that doesn't want to bother you. They're authentic. I have been a fan of this restaurant since I first started eating sushi in 2003! They do the best baked green mussels and I have a feeling they must have invented them because NOBODY crisps the edges like they do and NOBODY has the perfect creamy texture like they do. You haven't had a baked green mussel til you come here. Other than that, they got divine rolls of all kinds, generous lunch options and (last i went there) polaroid photos that they take of birthday guests. They stick em to the wall and then you're famous for the whole year! I love searching for my friends there - it's such a cute way to celebrate! Very disappointed. Don't hardly come to Valencia but when I do I make sure to stop here. But looks like I'm not going to anymore. They claimed there rolls are big but the places I've been eating at have the same size. I asked for the chef to make me AK sauce (AK-47 sauce) and they told me that they did not have none. HELLO YOU MAKE IT. You have all the ingredients but the chefs to lazy to make it. My bf and I came by for dinner and decided to bring a gift card TO THIS PLACE he got a few years ago from his grandma when he was home from deployment. Since he deployed many times after that he just got a chance to use it. The sushi was basic, nothing extraordinary. Service was slow and it didn't appear to be very busy for a Sunday night. While we sat there an employee walked in with her shoes half off and she started fixing her shoes and apron in a booth beside us. That was strange and unprofessional. Anyway let's get to the good part, we pull out the gift card and set it down with our credit card. Both servers and "manager" looked both shocked and excited about seeing the gift card. The female server yelled "Omg a gift card!" And the manager rushed over to our table and began looking at it. He later came over to our table and told us the card couldn't be honored because they stopped using them. Ok?.. so someone paid money for this GIFTCARD and you're not going to honor it? This is unheard of! To my knowledge gift cards never expire in Ca. It's not a coupon! We will never return to this fraudulent establishment and will be sure to tell our family and friends to steer clear of this sushi bar. There are plenty of great sushi bars out here to go to so we will be taking our money there instead. I have attached pictures of their worthless gift card.
