Love this place! Our family regularly comes to their restaurant on a weekly basis. The chefs, server, and host/managers are friendly. Being a regular customer, we have witnessed the place go through short staffing (from what I've observed) in the past but they managed to still provide good quality food. I have been here several times but this was the first time I experienced a yellow tail hand roll that was not yellow tail, I asked if it was going to be slices of fish or minced. The waitress said it would be in chunks. The order arrived and it not only has crunchy pieces of something, but I pulled out a long slice of shrimp. It was clearly shrimp with some reddish pink on it. The waitress denied it was shrimp, but then quickly decided to take it off the bill. Luckily I did not have a shrimp allergy. I find this restaurant has many sauces to put on the dishes. I presume it is to disguise the falsely named fish.I do not think I will return here. read more

MY CAT WOULD NOT EAT THE TUNA Been going there for years like so many others. Last week, Ordered poke plate, tempura roll and several sushi as well as poke hand rolls and love special hand rolls. Poke was not fresh, clearly several days old after defrost. Could not eat any of it, and rinsed iff the dressing and my rather large house cat who eats everything could not eat it! I think my photos speak for itself . No love into making this food what so ever . Spicy seafood soup noodles were so mushy and my seafood taste and looked like bait food . Chicken was so dry and tuff . Dumpling soup had no broth , NO BROTH !!! And was soooooo mushy as well. The 911 was just average could be better . It's clear who ever cooks here dont care . I had the coffee flavor ice cream and it had a tooth paste after taste and freezer burn, I didn't finish it . The strawberry one tasted good and would get it again. I paid about $50 for everything . Hehe, my boyfriend works here, so I dropped by after a bad day. I like to sit at the sushi bars so I decided to grab a seat. It was kind of packed, so my boyfriend couldn't give me the best customer service, but he kept stopping by :) I ordered Halibut Sushi and one of the sushi chefs gave me 2 pieces extra:) It was delicious :D I have only tried Halibut Sushi once and I'd say this one beats the other. I also ordered the Hawaiian Roll. If you get to know me, I love Tuna anything!, especially spicy tuna. Places I go, the spicy tuna is never spicy but this one definitely got me. It was so yummy! I definitely want to come back. My boyfriend likes to talk about how he can't eat sushi anywhere else anymore because this place is great. I have to say though... the edamame... is nasty! But I ate it anyways to kill 2 hours.. waiting for him to get off. I even tried.. dipping it in soy sauce.. and tried sprinkling salt, which was a total fail, because the knob was turned to "the big holes" so I basically poured salt all over my edamame! My boyfriend got me a new dish of... the stale edamame.. After the salting, it wasn't so bad... but still nasty. OOOHH! I have tried Baked Green Mussels only once, I forgot where. But the sushi chef put it on the house for me and it tasted really good! The sushi chefs were also passing out 2 pieces of tempura roll ( I don't know what it was )... on the house to all the customers at the time. We have been coming to Love Sushi for many years. Our go-to meal is the spicy tuna salad. It is so delicious and refreshing and pricing is reasonable! I could literally eat this meal every day. The salad portion is pretty filling, though sometimes when we are particularly hungry we will add extra tuna and get another roll on the side to share. Be sure to get extra dressing too! I ordered take out for my employees and I and I'm actually quite impressed. I came into this place knowing that the quality wasn't going to be the perfect sushi I ever had, and that the prices were standard for this area, but for a $13 roll I was impressed by how much fish (both tuna and salmon) they gave. I honestly do not remember the rolls I ordered other than that I have pictures of them. I don't recommend the fried rolls (particularly I just don't like rolls fried). But the roll with the salmon around it, with a scoop of spicy tuna on top was magnificent. My orders were also ready within 15-20 minutes and I ordered perhaps around 6-7 things. The takoyaki were also slightly laking as they were soggy on the outside and not crispy. Perhaps because the steam from the takoyaki created a steam oven and softened the takoyaki? Who knows. I just at least don't recommend ordering it as take out. I would order here again, it's a good establishment. read more

This place at one time was my favorite sushi restaurant in the Santa Clarita Area. I introduced both of my children to Sushi there. I had scheduled several business lunch meetings there as well. I did so because of the friendly neighborhood appeal , the excellent service and the wonderful food served. That was then. This is now. Now the portions have been diminished. The service is less than attentive. In the past , if requested a patron was provided with silverware. Now , and this no joke, if a patron requests silverware , a plastic fork and spoon is provided. I'm sorry, I thought I was dining at my one time favorite restaurant not going to an indoor picnic. When questioned about it , you get the usual reply "COVID". What does that have to do with silverware? The truth is money has gotten tighter. Since it has become tighter, so the consumer can become much more withholding when it comes to his selection of restaurant dinning. I won't go back! read more

Just last week i can eat sushi again due to the pregnancy and breastfeeding exclusively and the place that we choose to celebrate this moment is Love sushi. O what a bad choice, the moment that we arrived nobody helped us. We got sat next to the main door, we ordered our regular and couple things happen 1. They forgot to bring miso soup for our lunch combo and when they finally bring it out after we requested it, the miso soup is lukewarm 2. They forgot to bring a children utensils, tempura sauce. The main things that turned me off, we ordered sweet honey roll with couple other rolls and it comes with a BUG inside.. no jokes, super disgusting. We try to find our server but he's not there, there's another waitress there so we called her and told her what's going on. She bring the tissue with bug and talk to the sushi chef and the only respond that we got is " i can take this roll out from your bill" what???? The rolls came with several other food in ONE BIG PLATE, what about the rest of it. Who knows what that bugs come from. Just because we found it on sweet honey rolls doesn't mean it originally from there. So we asks our check, paid it. The owner come and bring the bills, doesn't say anything and just stared at the big plate like we're trying to stealing their money by putting a bug that we bring from home. 4. No water refills, no one asking if we're fine or if we need anything else.. superb services 5. When we left, no one say anything either. As a super-frequent diner, i use to love coming to love sushi, big portions and minutes from my house. Well, the recent price changes made me question what i was paying for and come to find out , i was not pleased. Anything "real crab" on the menu is canned, im not a snob but the grey color of the crab is not too appeasing. The "love special" rolls which use to be one of my go-to's has a secret ingredient of KETCHUP...umm, ketchup. Yikes. The prices and portions kept me coming back here, ill be back but i will start venturing out to other local sushi joints. (Tip: i noticed customers would request certain chefs to make therye order so i started to do the same after sitting at the bar a few times. ) read more

Been here a few times in hopes my thoughts could change but first time I came, my server didn't know much about the food I was inquiring about and ended up serving me the wrong food. I've been to plenty of sushi restaurants and they are able to add certain items to rolls and this restaurant couldn't simply add salmon sashimi on top of a Philadelphia roll. Typically places would just charge and extra $2 or so but this was strictly not able to do so. One star for how close it is to where I am. Another for the discount that is applied.
