First time here. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night and we're able to sit right away outside. We even brought our pup with us. Nina was amazing! She moved us to a larger table and was so sweet with our dog and brought water out for him. Alexis came out and he took our order but also knew each roll description by heart. Super impressive! I ordered ramen with the $6.00 Spicy Tuna Roll (as shown in the picture of their own menu), but was told they no longer offer that special. That's fine, and I'm happy to pay an extra $1 for it, but if it's on your menu it's rude to not honor it and argue with a customer about it. Also, the Spicy Seafood Ramen was awful because the noodles were soggy and the seafood looked like it came from a bait box. My friend and I visited this spot because it's her favorite go-to when she's in the area. I'm always up for trying new places, and combination of the menu and the look of the place made me intrigued. FIRE CRACKER (3/5): As much as I wanted to like it, I think the diced tomatoes mixed with the tuna give off a bad taste. I'd personally prefer if the tuna wasn't itself and if it was garnished with something else, like the crunch in my hand roll which I'll get to in a second. Anyway, the amounts were huge for the price we paid, and it was an innovative hybrid between a Mexican and Japanese dish. Props for the creativity. LOVE SPECIAL HAND ROLL (5/5): Delicious. And so spicy! I loved every bite with the rice, fresh spicy tuna and crunch. I'd definitely get this again. JIN'S ROLL (4/5): Pretty good. Not as spicy, and the salmon tasted a bit off, but it was okay. I'd probably order something else next time from their list of creative rolls. The service was wonderful and super attentive. So me and my sisters were there to celebrate a birthday lunch and I ordered the poke salad . I complained that the salad was not good and it tasted bad like rotten lettuce and I ask my sister if I'm tripping and she said the same. I've been eating poke salad and I know what's fresh and what's not fresh. So I told the sever I won't eat it. In a nice and calm voice. So he took it at the back and I'm hoping he will get me a fresher one. Not even a few minutes later he said that the salad is fresh and they just got it today! I really hate to give it a 1 star review but I feel like the quality of this place has really gone down a ton. The soy sauce is watered down. The fish isn't as fresh as it should be feels like it's been out for a day or so. Ambience was okay and the service was decent too the new staff seem kind. I went back for a refund since I had literally ate charcoal and spoke to the owner that refused to give me a refund so that they could pocket the money. The chef's are excellent here! They were fast, responsive, and on point the entire dining experience. The only complaint I have is that this establishment waters down their soy sauce. (and by watered down, I mean like 90% water) I grabbed a soy sauce from 3 different tables and they were all the same. It ruins the meal dipping your food into water mixed with wasabi. (And it's been this way since the pandemic) They only offer sodium free, to confuse the fact they're mixing it with water. The real issue I have is how affordable soy sauce is. If they're cutting corners here... where else are they being cheap? They've already increased their prices by like 6 dollars a roll so that worries me. It seems like a really desperate decision, and therefore I'll never eat here again. Too many sushi restaurants in Santa Clarita, all priced the same to go with a restaurant this frugal. read more

Being a regular customer, we have witnessed the place go through short staffing (from what I've observed) in the past but they managed to still provide good quality food. Poke was not fresh, clearly several days old after defrost. Could not eat any of it, and rinsed iff the dressing and my rather large house cat who eats everything could not eat it! I have been here several times but this was the first time I experienced a yellow tail hand roll that was not yellow tail, I asked if it was going to be slices of fish or minced. The waitress said it would be in chunks. The order arrived and it not only has crunchy pieces of something, but I pulled out a long slice of shrimp. It was clearly shrimp with some reddish pink on it. The waitress denied it was shrimp, but then quickly decided to take it off the bill. Luckily I did not have a shrimp allergy. I find this restaurant has many sauces to put on the dishes. I presume it is to disguise the falsely named fish.I do not think I will return here. read more

Ok, so I decided to support my local restaurants and when I saw the outdoor set-up, I dropped in for a late lunch. Beware of the "Happy Hour 25% Off", which is stated clearly in their business front and in their menu - they are not honoring it. While I understand that under the tough economic conditions some establishments have adapted, changed, and have become creative, false advertisement is still a no-no. Let your customers know beforehand so they can make their decisions. Food was ok, hence my 4-stars. I am not bitching about not receiving the discount, just want people to be aware since the staff failed to say they were not honoring it, and it is plastered all over the menu and glass front. read more
