I rarely leave reviews, but after my experience at Love You Laser in Manhattan, I feel a responsibility to warn others and I advise readers to check out how many times the owner has had to respond to reviews, how she responds, and how she takes zero responsibility for the lack of professionalism here. What was supposed to be a professional medical-aesthetic service quickly turned into one of the most uncomfortable, disorganized, and degrading customer experiences I've ever had. I purchased what was advertised as an "unlimited full body laser" package, only to be told -- after they had taken my money -- that it would be capped at 8 sessions. When I questioned this bait-and-switch, I was gaslit and stonewalled. Worse, Ella, the owner, burned my skin and disfigured tattoos in areas not even relevant to my treatment. There was no apology, only deflection. For anyone unfamiliar with laser hair removal: the machine must be kept in motion to avoid burning the skin. Ella repeatedly held the laser in place "just to see if I could feel it." On one occasion, she burned my underarm so badly I had to physically push her hand away. When I requested other providers, I was met with, "We can try," and even when they did accommodate, those providers also burned me -- despite my clear warnings that I had already been injured and to please be cautious. The inappropriate comments Ella made during sessions were wildly unprofessional. At first, they were overly familiar and creepy, then escalated into body shaming -- telling me I was "getting fat" -- while I was completely nude and extremely vulnerable. I cannot overstate how violating and demeaning this was. Ella's behavior shifted dramatically when my fiancé was present. She became suddenly kind and attentive -- even offering him free services, while I, a paying client, was being denied access to what I had paid for. It felt manipulative and deeply unprofessional. Beyond her behavior, the business is a mess. Appointments were routinely forgotten or double-booked, and I was told they were "too busy" to schedule me for weeks or months -- even as the staff casually discussed how slow business was. The staff turnover was constant, and Ella frequently yelled at and berated employees in front of clients. I personally witnessed at least one staff member crying in the back room after being verbally attacked. In addition to being emotionally uncomfortable with the way the spoke to me, changed their tone for my fiance, berated their staff, it was physically uncomfortable in the colder months. I assume they are trying to save money on their utility bills by not turning on the heating. They staff themselves can be seen in sweaters and layers while they expect the paying customers to freeze in the nude covered in cold gel. When you're finished with your session they hand you a few stiff and dingy towels to wipe yourself clean, which gives pause when you consider their hygiene. Lastly, what they don't tell you about laser hair removal is that if you start to shave your face for chin hairs, they will come back with a vengeance. So, as a person who came in with maybe 3 dark chin hairs, I have now had to get extensive electrolisis treatments to treat the full on white beard that the LHR machine at Love You Laser uses. If you are considering laser hair removal, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. This place is unsafe, unethical, and frankly traumatizing. Absolutely not worth your money -- or your emotional well-being. read more

My chiropractor has been schooling me on lymphatic drainage and I have made strides to adjust my lifestyle and seeing real results in just a few weeks. I can hear today with the belief in helping my lymphatic system be more efficient and wanted to try out their press therapy and lymph roller massage. Wow I was really impressed. It is very relaxing once you give into the procedure and realize that this is functional and necessary. It was intense but I loved it because it felt like I was doing something proactive. I love the quaint atmosphere and how convenient it is to the garment district. It's on a forgotten strip and it feels very private and like a great secret hideaway where I can come to get these treatments done! Great staff. Ask for Victoria ...she's the best. read more

the main woman there (owner i guess?) will try to upsell you on everything. when i came in for a $160 package she tried to say that that wont work and i should do the one for $1000. when i said no i don't want that she said "you just don't want to spend money i guess." i told her the treatment she is recommending is something i've tried before and it didnt work. she still tried to convince me. i'm so mad i even continued with a single session of what i came in for. absolute waste of time. the woman who did my treatments, Anna, was very sweet however. but this place is not nice and the owner is rude. it was also freezing in there. i got a lymphatic drainage massage and no one even told me that it's not even actually done by a person... wtf!! read more

Elena gave me an outstanding Microdermabrasion facial. She really took her time and I felt so relaxed. There was so much more care, explanation and time put in that Microdermabrasions I've gotten in the past. I fell asleep twice it was that relaxing...hahah! Once I walked out of the room, I saw a few ladies waiting. It was nice to know she took her time and that each person coming in would not feel rushed or hurried. read more

i found this place on Groupon for a facial, but I don't recommend it. The products used were low-quality, similar to Target brands, and the service was rushed (only 20 minutes). The staff couldn't explain facial differences, possibly due to a language barrier. It felt like all facials were the same despite different Groupon prices. I usually don't write reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I felt compelled to share--especially because most people have no idea how outdated the equipment is at "Love You Laser." I purchased a session that included medical cupping, lymphatic massage/pressotherapy, and infrared sauna at "Love You Laser"--and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would. The equipment was clearly outdated, especially the diagnostic machine, and the technician had no idea how to properly perform cupping. I chose this location because it's close to my workplace and I was considering buying a package if things went well. Unfortunately, I absolutely would NOT recommend "Love You Laser" to anyone familiar with quality massages or body treatments. The technician was inexperienced and left broken skin that I only noticed after getting home. She left the cups on too long and didn't adjust the pressure appropriately. Mid-treatment, she allowed another technician to enter without asking my permission, and when I voiced my discomfort, she brushed me off completely. She could only apply 4-5 cups due to a machine malfunction, and when I asked her to stop, she called me rude. She then pushed an RF therapy add-on for $39, but I ended up being charged $49 plus an unexplained $10 fee which felt deceitful. The RF machine looked like a cheap device you'd find online, and the technician clearly lacked the training to operate it properly. Shockingly, she invited another technician into the room and tried to demonstrate how to use the device on my body--without asking for my consent. I immediately refused, and the second technician left. The original technician never even introduced herself by name. To make matters worse, she mishandled the device and applied it directly to an area that had just been injured during cupping, which caused significant pain. This setup was nothing like the professional RF treatments I've had before. One inexperienced tech trying to teach another on a real client? It felt like a bad joke. The next phase was a supposed lymphatic massage, but it was just a plastic pressotherapy suit, no hands-on massage whatsoever. Again, outdated and ineffective. My own massage bed at home provides better results. Then came the infrared sauna, another disappointment. I've used an LED red light sauna blanket before, and the results from that were significantly better than anything here. To make matters worse, I had to wear a bathrobe and shuffle between rooms three times during the entire process, with noisy surroundings and doors constantly open. I've been to Love You Laser on two occasions, both times, for facials. The first time, they were running late, as in very late, over 30 minutes. I ended up being late for another appointment. The second facial they were running on time. Unfortunately, I won't return. They're just to darn pushy on selling more treatments. This didn't come from the facial technician, but the woman who checked me in at reception. I've never had Botox, yet she kept telling me I need it. I didn't want Botox and I don't need it. Yet. And when I decide to get some, it will be in a different salon that is less insulting trying to tell me she sees imaginary flaws in my face. read more

Alla Nogy all she cares is to push treatments on you to get more money and to be rewarded with tips. This place is a mouse trap. The last time I was there I did the machine lymphatic massage and the suit they have had armpits smell. I'm so disappointed with that place, I will never go again. I went to another place for the massages and the difference is huge, the orientation I got in the new place left me speechless and made me realize that Alla was just pushing extra treatments on me that I'm not supposed to do. read more
