There is a language barrier but it is on the customers side. My technician understood everything I asked for or requested be done. They have some very talented employees. I just have short natural nails painted one color. I watched others getting various designs and specialty polishes. Their was an employees infant and toddler there. I love children so that wasn't a problem for me. The toddler actually sat in my technicians lap while she polished my nails. I don't think the shop is dirty. I wouldn't have made the appointment if it was. It desperately needs a paint job. The decorative mirrors are noticeably dusty. Some of the plumbing is exposed.

When I got there, the staff were friendly but all three were busy with clients. I waited a very long time to be seen despite the appointment. I couldn't help but to feel bad for the women working because it started to dawn on me that the man who said there was availability for an 11:45 appointment was likely (driving) thus not at the salon and didn't check with them if they could take clients at that time. This is just my speculation. Anyways, after about 15 minutes of waiting, I was taken back to the pedicure area. They filled up the water which was very hot at first. There was only one woman giving a pedicure, and it became clear that I would be waiting for her to be finished and she looked about half way through. I waited so long that the scorching water was body temperature, and nobody gave me an update despite not being taken until about 35 minutes after my appointment time. As an aside, the salon was very dirty. Honestly I wanted to leave after sitting in the (cooling) foot bath for so long, but I'm a people pleasure and felt bad just getting up. But I was battling black flies, and noticed bugs crawling on the floor. There was dust and hair all along the base boards and corners, old nail polishes strewn about underneath things and the trash in the pedi area was overflowing. There were dirty fish tanks that looked like fish hadn't lived in them for weeks. Gross!! The only reason I gave two stars is because the woman who did my nails did a decent job. She didn't file until after the gel was applied so that some of the gel color actually appears scraped off at the top. Also, the tools used are not disposable or individually packed or not even sitting in a sanitizer. I ended up taking my chances here for last minute Sunday availability, but rest assured won't be coming back.

As some others have mentioned they don't have sterilized instruments as they just take their tools from a basket. I got my service done as fast as 10 minutes but that was enough for me not to set foot in here ever again. If you like fast with questionable hygiene this is the place to go.
