I came in today (without an appointment ) asking for a pedicure, removal of acrylics and new set of rainbow color acrylic. They took me no problem , they were up front about costs and time which were all more then reasonable for what I wanted. My mail tech started with removal then to my pedicure why my nails were wrapped. I chose the hot stone pedicure...which was AMAZING my legs got rubbed with hot stones for way longer then expected it was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. She did amazing job on my nails I wanted 6 different colors of colored acrylic on each nail they came out beautiful exactly what I wanted. read more

I am so glad I found this place! My daughter and I tried to walk into Beautiful Nails but it was so crowded and no room or time for walk ins. (It was a Friday at 2pm which was crazy how hard it was to get seen). California Nail Salon is less than 5 mins down and parking is cake (right next to Aldi). We were able to walk right in. Don't let the exterior facade fool you - it is a huge salon (it's deep). They have every color in dip, shellac, and regular options. I originally wasn't going to get a manicure at all. But after seeing how many colors they had and that there was space and time available - I decided to treat myself! We had a bit of a communication challenge when I asked the lady if I could do a French manicure pattern but NOT with traditional colors. We battled back and forth and I think she was really worried about my pick in colors. (The irony considering she herself had some fun colors on her own tips). In the end I got my dip manicure and shellac pedicure along with my daughter getting her normal mani/pedi. Our entire total was $20 cheaper than what I paid at Glossy Nails in Bedford for just my pedicure and my daughter's full mani/pedi. It was fast, affordable, and lots of colors to choose from. If you are going to spend good money for your nails and want them to be done right, go to Boujee Nails and Spa instead! At Califoney nails you certainly DO NOT get what you pay for and they'll tell you they can do the nail art you want when they really can't. Back in August I went in and they had a really talented tech/artist (I forget her name), she did such a great job, was patient and kind. When she was done, I showed her a pic of a set I wanted for an October wedding I am going to. The design involves lots of charms and she told me they could do it but I would have to bring in the supplies because they didn't have everything needed for the design. Fast forward to today (10/14/23), I walk in to get the design I want and brought all the charms, snakeskin foil and gem stones needed for the design. I told them that one of their nail techs told me they could do my design if I brought the supplies and asked again if they could still do it, they said yes. I was directed to sit at table 2, so I did. I do not know what the woman's name is, but she is RUDE and a terrible nail tech. We pick out the base colors, and she starts to remove my old set. I told her that I would like coffin shape and that I DO NOT like thick acrylic nails. So, what does she do? She literally GLOBS acrylic on my nails! When she is done with the acrylic part, she starts in on the gel polish. Again a complete disaster, didn't have the get colors and metalic powder we had already picked out, so I had to waste time picking alternatives. She slaps the colors on haphazardly and now it's time for design. Did I mention she told me that my nails were going to cost $150 because they would take her a long time, and then had the audacity to get up and go outside to chit chat with another customer! I turned to the owner and said "I hope she's not charging me for her to stand outside and talk, cause she told me the price of my nails is dependent on the time it takes", so he waved her back in. Back to design time, she told me to pick out the charms for her so I start picking out the charms needed. Abruptly, she gets angry with me and tells me to pack everything up and leave because my nails are taking too long, she doesn't have time for me, doesn't want to do my nails anymore and no one else does either. She literally told me it's already taken her 2 hours to put nails on and color. I was confused about why she just went bipolar on me and said "it's not my fault it took you that long just to do that" and "I was told by an employee here I could get this design if I brought all the supplies". She continued to berate me for no reason, like I was the problem and told me I owe $70. I said "Excuse me but my nails are half done and a mess, they look like shit. Aren't you going to at least clean up all the powder and foil left on my skin?" To which she replied, "you can just go wash your hands". I told her "I'm paying for a service, and you did not provide the service I am paying for, so I'm not paying $70, I will pay you $60". I get up, go wash my hands and head to the check out counter. This nasty creature had the nerve to charge $70 anyway, when my nails were chunky, lumpy, uneven, the wrong shape and half done. I refused to sign the merchant copy, and asked for my card back and she would not give me my card back till I signed. So I put an X on the line, then took my card back. She yelled at my that they have a camera, and to never come back. I laughed at her, told her that something is wrong with her, she must be crazy to think I would ever come back and that I don't give a sh*t about their camera. I immediately walked out and went to Boujee nails, where they treated me kindly and graciously fixed my nail emergency. The wonderful tech who helped me made me feel welcome and felt so bad for me about my experience at California nails. She literally laughed at the previous woman's work because it was so bad and said "dont worry girl, I'll fix you right up!". HUGE shout out to the HIGHLY SKILLED nail artists at Boujee nails for being so welcoming, treating paying customers kindly instead of second class citizens and for fixing my nail emergency created by California nails! The pic attached is what I wanted and brought all the supplies for, but didn't get at California nails....got it done flawlessly at Boujee Nails and Spa though! read more

I went back to have them redo them and they didn't even clean off the old polish. the girl was very rude and rough and told me that they only Guarantee the polish to stay on for 3 days. I called Saturday and made an appointment for two pedicures at 12:30. My sister and I arrived on time at 12:30 for our appointment. We picked out our colours and were brought over to the pedicure chairs. We waited for about 15 minutes before someone came by and filled the water. We then proceeded to wait 35 minutes and no one came over. We made the decision to leave as we didn't know how much longer we were going to have to wait. I understand if they're busy, but there was no communication on the wait time or where they were at. If they couldn't accommodate our appointment, I'd understand, but would have liked to know over the phone. It seems very unprofessional to take appointments if you're not going to be on time with them. I'm very disappointed as I've heard great things about this place. I will not be returning. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for almost 2 years and always see Philip. I have always been a great tipper with him but the last three times I have got my nails done from him they are all uneven they all look different and quite frankly they don't look good at all. Today for the first time I spoke up and he got upset with me. First of all he was late for our appointment, second of all my nails were all uneven and two of them were crooked, and he cut my cuticle in two different places and I was bleeding. He gave me an attitude and began to fix one of them. Well fixing that one made it look completely different from the other one. So I finally said don't bother finishing them I'm going to go somewhere else. He aggressively grabbed the nail clippers and started clipping every single one of my nails off and I said can you please be careful you made me bleed twice already. Then yelled at me and said he spent an hour and a half on my nails and I can leave, which was not true because he was late. Instead of listening to a client that you have had for almost 2 years now you get all upset and don't understand that if I am paying for service I want them done nice. Even after all of that I still asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing and walked away. I'm so extremely disappointed in you Phillip! I was a walk in and this place was busy. The prices are average for the services. I requested a pedicure and was placed in a chair and then had to wait 20 minutes before anyone came over. I was literally going to walk out and then a technician approached me. They were busy but I don't know why they had me sit in the chair in the back out of sight. I noticed the fish tanks were extremely dirty and by no means helped the appearance of the business. The floors were not clean and there was water next to the chairs because one was leaking. The technician was very sweet and did a good job. I prefer a stronger massage but it was still relaxing. They are trying really hard to make ends meet and provide service but they need to clean up their shop. read more

Went to get my nails filled on Wednesday. Was seated quickly. Had a man who was my nail tech. He was working on a total of 3 customers at the same time. Took over an hour to get my nails done. My Friend and I stopped in for Manicures on a Saturday afternoon. We have not heard any reviews but simply saw their sign and pulled in. They had a really great selection of polish colors, I was impressed because recently I have found places to have limited options. We opted for regular manicures over the shellac which we already had on our nails. After we selected our colors they took us right away. They did charge us extra to remove the shellac polish which I kind of expected, it took a long time to remove, it was a bit of a process. My friend had 2-3 different people work on her over the course of her manicure, I am not sure why they did that. I had the same person and he was friendly and polite. My nails came our great as did my friends. He listened to what I wanted for the shape, did a great job cleaning up my cuticles and the color was perfectly even. I will definitely come back since I live so close by. I saw that they do waxing as well so I am planning to try them out for my eyebrows. We paid $18 each for our manicures with an extra $5 for removing the shellac. The adorable bulldog Rocky also kept us entertained, apparently he belongs to one of the manicurists. read more

One of the worst nail salons ever. They take will not take their time on their pedicures. They rush through it, meanwhile there is no one waiting. While they do your nails--be careful--they will dig into your skin making it raw, sore, and bleeding from filing and the drill file. My nails and fingers are hurting. They rush. They do not care. My daughter and I came in for full sets and we're so incredibly dissatisfied with our nails! I've been getting my nails done for almost 20 yrs and This is by far the worst set I've ever had. Both our techs rushed, my daughter's tech wasn't paying attention almost cut her finger, kept getting up and completely distracted. Her nails are different shapes and not the length she asked for and simply look awful. They didn't listen to what we wanted and didn't take their time. Their full set price is cheap compared to other places but now I know we got what we paid for. I'll be sure to go elsewhere with these nails as a perfect example of what NOT to do.
