Couldn't be more pleased with my cake. This bakery over delivered on quality and aesthetics. It looked amazing, and tasted even better. 100% worth the cost. I will definitely order from them again & recommend to anyone looking for a custom cake. Thank you!!!

Special shout out to Lovely Cakes for the most CATacular Halloween cake for my mother's surprise birthday party! My mom loves cats and halloween, which is conveniently just around the corner from her birthday. The owner was super personable and came up with the brilliant idea of making a purple cat head wearing a witch hat (ice cream cone). In addition, it was my aunt's birthday so I asked her for a "mini version" of this cake using a jumbo cupcake. We were not disappointed! Both cakes were a total hit, and one of my favorite parts! Just look at these pictures - They were sooo cute (and at a very reasonable price)! Thanks again for your hard work in making this day even more special for my mother and aunt! I definitely recommend Lovely Cakes to the next person.

I stopped by Custom Cake Cakery today to pick up some cupcakes. I used to come here before when it…read morewas a different bakery years ago. So it was my first time here since they changed. I was greeted right away. The young lady at the counter was nice, she was patient, and she answered all my questions. The store is a vibe. There are beautiful flowers and decor, and it's pretty and clean inside. There's a table inside, but it's not much space to eat there. So it's more of a pickup type of bakery. They had several different flavors of cupcakes in the display which all looked tasty!! They also sell custom cakes and other baked goods. I grabbed my cupcakes but I was taking pics for my review. So as I'm taking pics, I'm smiling and minding my business. A lady walks in and you can tell she was in a bit of a mood. She started talking to the girl behind the counter in a rude tone. So I went on taking my pics, and the counter where the register was, had several boxes, so I sat my cake box down on this little cart that had toppings. I thought it was too cute not to get a pic of. All of a sudden I hear the same tone say "please don't sit anything there"! I wasn't aware she was talking to me at first so, she said ma'am and I turned around. She told me no, don't put anything on that, we take that to shows or for catering. She said it could get scratched up or dinged. I apologized and moved the box. She was still talking. So I said ok. I mentioned there wasn't a sign up or anything to alert me that it was a problem. But I wasn't being rude or weird. I mean it literally was a small dessert box. When we both walked outside I told her I wasn't trying to be rude, I just wasn't fond of how she was speaking to me and thought the sign would help avoid conflicts in the future. She obviously didn't want to talk about it, so she said we never needed a sign because no one has ever done that before!! As if I'd broken some unspoken law. Lol. By this time I was confused as to what I did that was so wrong, I even had to giggle because this small situation didn't warrant her being snappy. I tried to give her grace because I don't know what kind of day she was having. But I'm assuming she's the owner at this point. She should definitely get her tone in check, because customers can pick up on your nice nasty approach. I thought this was going to be a good experience, but it left me confused and a little disappointed. The whole vibe was light and airy before she walked in. As for the cupcakes they were not what I expected. I got a mystery box so it was a mix of cupcakes they pick out that are leftovers from the previous day. But these had to have been from several days ago because each and every one was hard, none were moist. Very heavy cupcakes. There was carrot cake, I think a maple one, lemon blueberry, and chocolate. I noticed the carrot cake one had the after taste of raw flour.. . The chocolate one and the lemon blueberry tasted the best out of all of them, but each one of them had to much extract, except the chocolate one. I'm not just saying this because of the encounter we had. I don't hold grudges, this is an honest reaction. I had been excited to try this place because I have a sweet tooth. Maybe the fresher cupcakes taste better, so I'll give them that. But these weren't good to me. That's just my opinion, but still check them out, maybe it'll be a different experience and you may enjoy the flavors!! Again it's a gorgeous store!!

I wanted something small since it was just for the two of us. They made us a "smash cake" for a great price. I paid the first half of the deposit when I placed the order, and the second half once I had the gender results. They were able to make my cake that same day! They told me 3pm and when I arrived the cake wasn't finished. I had to wait 15minutes and the piping did look a little rushed. I would have preferred they said a later time and were able to make the piping look as neat as possible. This being said I'm still impressed and grateful they made the cake on such short notice. I also requested pastel colored filling and it was very dark. Unfortunately I did not love the taste of the cake and couldn't not eat more than a few bites. The vanilla icing was overly sweet. I would be interested in going back and trying some cupcakes though! Overall the cake served its purpose at a very great price!

Our cake was only $326 which was phenomenal because other places were charging $800-$1,000 for a 3-tier wedding cake. I really loved the user-friendly website they had. Ordering was so simple and easy and I was able to order a gorgeous pre-made, 3-tier cake, that Jessica and Erik were able to add our wedding colors to. The cake was a vintage style cake and it quite elegant. The top two layers were vanilla with the bottom being chocolate. The cake was delicious, moist, with the perfect amount of buttercream icing. The guests absolutely loved the chocolate as it had layers of what looked like fudge in between the layers or cake. The slices were a mile high tall and did I mentioned the moistness of the cake?! It was amazing. The vanilla was delicious as well, but the chocolate was the crowd favorite. Our guests loved the cake. We will be ordering from Jessica and Erik in the future for events and milestones. We also support veteran owned businesses. Look no further if you want a beautiful and reasonably priced wedding cake!

They were delivered on time but EVERY SINGLE cookie was broken into pieces. I immediately contacted the owner, Jessica, via email (that's the only way to communicate with them), she stated that UPS probably mishandled the package and I should send her pictures. UPS had no fault in this, as the box they were in was small and not sturdy and FRAGILE was not marked on the box. The box was squished. It was the way they were packaged and sent that caused the entire contents to be smashed. Once I sent her pictures, she would not respond to me any further, I sent 3 more emails asking for a refund and never got any response. I don't understand how a business can operate like that. I had to file a claim with my CC and finally received the refund. This Jessica does not care about her customers in the least, I was devastated that I could not use the planned cookies as favours for my daughert's shower and scrambled to get something else, 3 days before the event.

Multiple shades of purple spotted mushrooms were placed on the side running the entire one side of the cake. Cutest things ever seen. The details were amazing. Many times a cake like this falls short on flavor. Not this one. Cake was moist, marbled (purple of course) almond cake. The flavor didn't really hit until the end of your bite but it was the perfect amount. Not too overpowering, subtle, but notable. Not too sweet, not too soggy. The matcha flavor didn't come through as much but it was also mixed with strawberry and banana, it was still good!

I visited Ginger's Sweets for their Bob's Burgers-inspired event, and it was such a fun concept!…read moreThey had several themed drinks and treats, along with their regular menu items. For the Bob's Burgers-inspired items, I tried the Hugo's Cheddar Hot Dog Croissant, which was definitely my favorite. It was a hot dog with cheese inside a croissant, and the flavor was really good. My only complaint is that everything was served room temperature. I really wish they had warmed it up because I honestly think it would have taken it to another level. A warm, flaky croissant with the melted cheese and hot dog would have been amazing. I also tried the Dutch Baby Cruffin. It was a cruffin with a filling inside (I'm guessing something like vanilla), but the flavor wasn't very strong to me. It wasn't bad it gave what it was supposed to give but it wasn't my favorite. Again, I think warming it up would have made a difference. For non-Bob's Burgers items, I tried the banana pudding cookie, and the dill pickle focaccia. The banana pudding cookie was good and tasted like banana pudding should. The dill focaccia wasn't really my favorite. It wasn't something I would go back specifically for, but I do think it could have been better heated up instead of being served cold/room temperature. For drinks, I tried the Marshmallow Blueberry Latte, which had house-made blueberry and marshmallow syrup, espresso, milk of choice, vanilla bean cold foam, and glitter. My sister tried the Gene's Chunky Blastoff Latte, which she described as tasting like chocolate milk mixed with coffee. Now, my latte was interesting. Personally, I did not love the blueberry flavor, but that is completely based on my own taste preferences. However, I will say the drink itself was actually a GOOD latte. The flavor was there. This is something I struggle with at a lot of coffee shops--places will advertise flavors like blueberry pie, cookies and cream, etc., and the drink just tastes like bitter coffee with milk and sugar. That was not the case here. You could actually taste the blueberry. I just personally didn't love that flavor combination. Someone who loves blueberry would probably really enjoy it. I would definitely come back and try another latte because I have confidence that they know how to make flavorful coffee. The shop itself was cute, clean, and had nice decor. There was enough seating, although it was busy when we went on a Saturday morning around 10 AM (not sure if that is typical or if it was because of the themed treats). There wasn't a line, but there were a lot of people inside, and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Since they opened at 7 AM, some of the Bob's Burgers items were already sold out, so if you're coming for a special event, I would recommend going early. Overall, I think Ginger's Sweets makes good desserts and good coffee. I also like that they do themed events beyond just Bob's Burgers, like their upcoming Twilight-inspired event. It's a cute place to visit if you enjoy creative treats, themed events, and fun coffee drinks. I would definitely return to try more of their menu!

They make the quiches and baked goods for them. The whole cakes looked pretty. They also had some fall flavors in desserts and coffee!! I did find it confusing that nothing had prices. I had to keep asking how much everything I was interested in was. The cake slices are about $7-8 per slice and the cookies were $3-4 depending on the flavor. I got a red velvet and a double chocolate cookie. They were both a good size and thick. They were ok. But nothing buttery or special stood out. The double chocolate was the better cookie out of the 2. The red velvet was a little bland. But looked appealing. I'd like to try their cakes in the future. I will say there were a few fruit flies lingering in the showcase which is why I chose the cookies. There's some outdoor seating. They only sell whole quiches here, but you can purchase individual slices next door, because they don't have the capability to heat them up there. I'd come back to try other things. Check them out!!
