Small shop in the shopping center with a cute interior. No room it really sit and relax so plan on ordering and going. I ended up picking up two cupcakes costing just under $8. I don't look at their order options for parties but I'm guessing that's what they are known for. The two cupcakes I got, the lady was super nice explaining what's inside them. Service is a 5. You're greeted as if you're a beloved customer, even when it's your first time. They encourage you to browse their wonderful tasty cupcakes and cakes on display. They're patient when you take your time since you can't make up your mind: should I get jumbo cupcakes? Or the regular sized ones? Should I go fruity like lemon or strawberry or go big on chocolate or Oreos or ?? I got the 3 regular sized cupcakes (not jumbo) : almond, chocolate grande and peach;best one is the almond. Wish they use buttercream instead of sugar frosting as it would have been more delicate and not too sweet. There are jumbo cupcakes for over $7 each, a little pricey. read more

I've always wanted to come, as I herd the desserts are delicious. Not much to say on the outside, but when you walk it's pink and cream decore. Very cute! First thing you see is the counter with colorful displays of the desserts! And the service was spot on! You can't help and look how big and enticing the cupcakes are. I couldn't resist so I ordered the "Chocolate Dome" It was so big, and it was Chocolate upon Chocolate! It was moist and decadent that I couldn't eat all of it You definitely have to have a glass of cold milk with it. I will definitely be back to try more of their desserts! read more

Honestly I had no business going into the bakery but I'm glad I did. I got a butter pecan cheesecake cup and honestly I thought it was going to be a plain cheesecake with pecan razzle dazzle on it but there were pecans in the cheesecake. When I opened the container I was hit with the sweet scent of maple syrup which had me worried but this cheesecake cup was not overly sweet. I devoured this thing in the parking lot. I will tell you they had a large variety of cupcakes in the display and I went in there looking for a cookie but to my surprise i got something better. read more

One of my fiancés friends told us how great the deserts here are. So for my fiancé birthday I got a few cupcakes to try and a mini strawberry cheesecake. I went early in the afternoon so all the choices were full, it was hard to choose because they all looked great. My husband and I are so impressed with Sweet Kream Bakery! From the moment I stepped into the shop I was greeted and treated kindly. We had a full sheet specialty cake made for our retirement party and they did not disappoint! I went in with an idea with what I wanted and showed a few pictures of our Navy covers and rank devices and they made the vision come true. I have never seen a bakery nail the CPO combo cover like they did. The cake was moist and delicious and received compliments from everyone at the party. We highly recommend this bakery for those looking at getting exactly what you want for your cake design and getting a delicious cake all in one. I hadn't stepped foot here prior, but I called a week in advance to pick up a last minute birthday cake. My husband said he didn't want a birthday cake, but the kids did, sooo a cake we were getting. Only thing the kiddos requested -- no ice cream cakes. Booooo. My go-to bakery was all booked up, understandably, so Yelp & Google reviews led me here! I think it's my inner millennial, but phone calls stress me out lol. I called on a Friday afternoon to see if they had any room for me to place an order for the following Saturday. Surprisingly, she said yes! I had placed a cake order and ended up visiting a few days after ordering just to make sure we'd like the cake and ended up changing the cake to an Oreo one. They have a VAST list of different cake flavors. I have loved every cupcake/treat I tried! So far their jumbo mudslide (SO GOOD) and I forgot the actual name but it was a butter pecan(?) cheesecake? One nibble turned into me inhaling the darn thing lol. The actual birthday cake was very nice! Wasn't sure what to expect but it was aesthetically pleasing. I didn't love the cake but nobody else felt the same as me lol. I think their chocolate cake is top tier for me, and the Oreo was vanilla(?) with pieces baked in. The birthday boy liked it, so I'm not complaining one bit! The young lady working was super nice. Gave great recommendations, cracked jokes with me, and was super helpful about changing the cake flavor and giving instructions when picking up the cake. Wow! So we went here after a single cupcake each and left with 6. The Saturday last hour of business happy hour is an amazing deal. We got several flavors and just polished off the orange and a strawberry flavored option. Mine had a fresh strawberry on top and the frosting was awesome. Not overly sweet and tasted like a strawberry Nesquik. Orange cream was a nice orange flavor. They both had moist flavorful cake as well. They were some of the best cupcakes I have had personally and I am definitely a cake snob as I was a baker for a long time. We live about 35 minute away in Newport News but I'll come back the next time we're in this area. Highly recommend. read more

They have options for over the phone payment or I could have sent someone locally to pay for me. I was invoiced and was sent the receipt immediately. Sweet Kream Bakery is a family-owned and -operated bakery that has been around since '16. Their menu offers various pastries, cookies, muffins, cheesecake, pies, round/square/sheet/cut-out/specialty cakes, dessert cakes, cake fillings (!!!), and, of course, cupcakes. Having lunch in the area, I knew that I wanted to stop by this dessert afterwards! My mother and I were out and about enjoying a mother daughter Saturday. We had a lovely lunch, but she was wanting something sweet to eat. While, I am not a sweets person, I have my one or two go to places in case I need that craving fulfilled. Well on this day, both of my places were closed or either sold out for the day. I headed over to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a 'bakery' search for nearby places. A few hits came up, but she was not interested in any of them. We did make a stop by a certain restaurant in the area.... checked out their dessert menu... nothing appealing. While, I was getting restless... I called a local bakery, but they only sold whole cakes... a slice or a cupcake or two was all we were hoping for. My last result... they were open and had plenty of cupcakes to choose from. This place was only five minutes away from our current location. Sheeesh, we should have started here first. Well now I know going forward. We arrived and we were the only patrons inside This was awesome, we had the entire shop to ourselves to browse freely. We ended up getting a half dozen and decided to sit inside and enjoy one together... it was soooo good!!! I had no idea!!! It was so good, we ended up eating a whole one each. Our original plan was to share :) I highly recommend, you check this place out. The ladies inside were super jovial and excited to wait on us. Well after about 5 minutes, other patrons started flowing in steadily. We entered at a perfect time and we were completely satisfied from beginning to end. Update- these are food Lion cupcakes with icing added. The nerve! This place is good for kids, or if you just want sugar. I paid almost $10 for that crap. Wawa has better -and fresher- cupcakes, and nicer workers. Spending my money for some GROWN old lady to give me attitude? Absolutely TF not. ***The service is not what I would call polite. And when I asked if everything was baked today, she quickly said "yes," but I feel like she was lying. I'll see, based on the taste. Handing me my card and my order, she said "there ya go." Get up, go to Sweet Kream, and live your best quarantine life. I work at a hospital, and I was hosting a team building/spirit lifting event for my crew; well needed in these times of exhaustion, confusion, and desperation. It was difficult to find a place that was open and could grab the cutest last-minute treats from. These were perfect! They are beautiful, definitely made with love and care. They had so many different flavors to choose from. I was impressed with the cupcakes that had fruit, because the fruit was very fresh and sweet. Simply upon seeing these delights, my crew's spirits were lifted. They were so pleased and could resist trying them all (they cut them into quarters and shared). I wish I bought more, but I am surely making Sweet Kream an option from now on when it comes to event desserts. read more

Ordered an eight inch round buttercream cake and 2 dozen cup cakes last minute for a birthday party. Everything was delicious and was asked multiple times where I got them from. Cake was epic!! My coworkers got a good laugh at it and they also loved the gradual flavors of the cake from top to bottom. It was not too sweet like most cakes so we all liked it. It was the perfect cake to celebrate my last day at work. One of our dentists took Obama's pic and left the rest for the crew. If you need a cake this is the place to go! can't believe I haven't posted yet! We have ordered probably close to 10 cakes over the last several years from Sweet Kream and they have been awesome every time. We have done simple cakes to fairly intricate custom cakes and they have always done a great job. Their buttercream icing is perfect and their prices are completely reasonable. They also have cupcakes (also delicious) and some other pretty darn tasty deserts like pecan or lemon bars. Seriously, if you need a cake this is THE place to go. read more

Perfection in its most edible form. The cakes and other treats are always soft, moist and the most delicious cakes I've tasted in the Virginia area. This is an amazing bakery! We have ordered many specialty cakes as well as cup cakes from them. The lemon cake (with lemon slices on top) is my favorite and it is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We have recommended the bakery to many of our friends and neighbors and all of them have raved about this place. It may be the best bakery in Hampton Roads.
