Went in day before mother's day with a group of girlfriends and we were leaving on a cruise Monday. Got a gel manicure and pedicure. Pedi was definitely better than the mani. Gel for pedi was $20 more which seemed a bit high. The mani felt more rushed and I got the service Saturday and Friday morning my gel was lifting. Normally, gel lifts from the cuticle, but this lifted and broke from the top. Not even a week! A few days later, they all started lifting and peeling. I've never had gel that lifted and peeled so easily. Usually I have to fight it to come off and thats after 3 weeks! read more

I got my nails done on Friday before Easter and 3 of my nails have already popped off and I was able to super glue three of them back and then a 4th one popped off today, Keep in mind I would get 1 nail but 4 and I got charged $80. I loved the way they looked but the would not hold up at all. I called and all they told me was sorry I can't help you and then they hung up I'm just so disappointed and upset. I don't have a lot of money so I saved up and really just wanted to treat myself for the first time in a long time. If I could get a refund or somehow get it made up I'd be ok read more

The nail tech cut my toe while cutting off the polish he got on my skin. To stop the bleeding he poured rubbing alcohol & acrylic powder on it. Then he used a dirty towel to wipe it. Thankfully I had a bandaid in my purse to put on it. The person at the register did not say a word when I showed him my toe. I was not looking for a discount or a free pedicure - I was hoping they would acknowledge the fact that it was unsanitary how he cleaned my toe. Hands down the best place to get your nails done in Turlock. Pedi/Mani/Gel/Acrylics. The owner is super kind and personable (she will call you by name). it's $20 extra for gel polish on a pedicure!! that's INSANE!!!! most places charge $10. there's also different prices (for EVERY SINGLE SERVICE) if you're paying in cash versus card. kinda ridiculous. paid $125 for 2 gel pedicures that were meh. won't be coming back. it's expensive and they do less!! no hot towels, stones etc that other places do. they don't accept tips in card which is odd read more

Not happy with my service today. For $40 (the cheapest service for a pedi they have) my pedicure was rushed and not thorough. I kept being pressured into a "heal" service for $5. I said NO 3 times. The pad used to scrub my feet was so incredibly rough my heal is still red and irritated hours later. She kept hitting the back of my leg and now my leg is also scratched and irritated. She did not rub my feet AT ALL. They don't offer warm towel or stones as many other places do for a cheaper price. Only halfway rubbed the lotion on the legs. The white lotion just sat on top of my legs and she just left it. Then couldn't find two of the colors I wanted.. I had to ask for a towel to wipe all the excess white lotion she just left on my legs. Super disappointed especially since my usual place is only $30. Do not recommend and won't be back. read more

I have never left a nail place in such awe at how terrible the service was. I've never had a nail tech jump on me over a tip (that I left on her station). Then upon actually looking at my nails. They are horrible. Absolutely baffled over the price they charged for the work they provided. Some issues I noticed.. I asked for oval yet my nails have points on some, they're not even close to the same size. I have nail glue everywhere. The gel is chunky. Just terrible. A part of me wants to call and have them fix it but at the same time I don't want the same terrible work. read more

Nail removal was painful, not the way I thought it was gonna be. They clipped down my nails, used her own nail to lift between my natural nail and the acrylic peeled them off with the same acrylic nail tips and ended up leaving my nails fragile. I'm not infuriated but I'm disappointed. $20 for someone to use their hands and not even soak nor file them off. read more

Got a full set with removal of my old set, got cut during that, it happens so didn't get upset but it was very painful. Next day (Sunday) after only one day broke a nail simply grabbing my blanket out of my trunk. Pedi was ok but the chair was uncomfortable felt like it had a board on it instead of cushion, mechanics of it barely worked . Simply wasn't worth the money spent.... 2 more nails broke off within the week even after I got this one fixed so I took the rest off with very little effort. My daughter went in today for a full set of acrylic nails. She has had her nails done before and they looked beautiful. To say I was shocked at the results from Amazing nails was an understatement. She does have a wider nail bed, but she has had amazing results in the past. I wish I had been with her so that I could have said something. She immediately went to another salon to have them removed. $55 dollars down the drain plus more for removal. She showed them a picture of exactly what she wanted, the results are no where near what she wanted. Do your research, look at all the one star reviews, there's a reason for those. read more

Possibly using MMA. They prefer not to soak off nails and when they do soak off nails it takes them a while to file and scrape off the acrylic. When the gel polish is applied and placed under the machine to dry, there is a very district burning sensation. read more

I've been to other nail salons over the years, here in Turlock, and Amazing Nails has always been a top notch experience from pedicures, powder dip nails, to acrylic nails. The selection of gel/shellac colors are great! The Amazing Nails staff is very welcoming and accommodating! It is always very clean and hygienic. They were very nice, professional, and pretty fast with good quality. I got an acrylic set by Wendy and she did an amazing job. They look great and are exactly as I asked for, which is especially nice because I've gotten this same set at a different place in Turlock (Infinity Nails) and it was NOT good. I also appreciated her stopping once in a while to make sure I liked the shape and length, especially as someone who has trouble speaking up if I don't like something (but she was doing a good job anyways so I didn't feel like anything was not to my liking). The pedicurist was rough and it was painful. When I have gone to salons and paid $70, I've been offered something to drink at the very least. I came in to get an acrylic set removed. She trimmed my nails and then used a fake nail and just pried them off. It hurt a lot and under my nails have actually bruised and one nail actually had a slice in it. My nails were left rough and painful. read more

I had an appointment today at 6 pm with my sister, for 2 FULL SETS. My sister went first and I had to wait 30 minutes until it was my turn. I had an appointment but people were going ahead of me? My nail tech overcharged us both and she was really rough. She ruined my water decals to try to sell me her designs. All of my nail techs have used those decals just fine. I don't ever want to come back. Horrible service and unprofessional. My nails are boring and crooked. She didn't even put a base layer. They were also talking shit about me and my sister. One of them dropped my cane, said "sorry" - she didn't hear me say it's okay then she starts laughing speaking her language, and I hear "sorry" a few times. Doesn't take a genius.
