I got a pedicure from Phillip. He seemed nice. He said I had an ingrown nail, I didn't realize it cuz it didn't hurt at all. Now my toe is killing me!! It's red and swollen, and pus is coming out! He also left nail polish on my skin around my toe. I paid an extra $5 for "hot oil massage"... it was nothing special. I swear those tools better had been cleaned. I hope he didn't give me an infection. I have to be on my feet 12+ hours at work. Now I'll have to suffer for his mistake. Ugh. I won't come back here. read more

First off, this place is the only one open in Turlock past 3pm on a Saturday. I had previously gone here once before and didn't like the service I received. Both times I've gone they've told me it'll be about 15 minutes, but the wait is longer. Like previous reviews, "regulars" are catered too.. while "newbies" are met with bare minimum. The first time I went, I went for a French tip pedicure. Within the first week my nail polish was chipping. I sorely missed modesto and stockton salons. I thought I'd give it one more shot. This time I went for a manicure and pedicure. I decided to treat my mom and niece. My mom got a manicure and my niece went for mani/pedi. They started with our pedicures, so my mom waited patiently. I ordered the first option for pedicures and was disappointed with the short time spent on massaging my legs (other salons have given longer/better massages) They did my nieces manicure at the pedicure station. The lady who did my nieces nails was really friendly but by the time it was my turn for a manicure, my nieces manicure was visibly transparent/ not coated properly. When it came time for my manicure, I was told they couldn't do what I was asking for. I wanted a two-tone design with strips. Then I was told that only certain workers can do acrylics so I would have to wait after 3 people who had appointments (at this point I had been there an 1 hr and 1/2 and only had gotten a pedicure!) I decided to leave without a manicure. I paid and left. When we got to the car my mom showed me her nails. They were visibly not coated correctly with polish on her skin. Total cost: 70$ for 2 decent pedicures and 2 manicure that looked like a 5 year old did them. Needless to say, I won't be returning or recommending. Tip: go to modesto/stockton for quality at a decent price. Nails by Erica(she's amazing/worth the price) and iNails. read more

Average to below average experience. One issue is that the shop does not accept cards. Therefore, you are expected to pay cash. There is an ATM available in the shop for a $0.75 charge. Additionally, the sanitation practices of the salon were subpar. (For example, I watched another manicurist rinse her tools in water before her next client). They have to best selection of colors for shellac and don't rush you in and out like cattle, which others in Turlock seem to do. Always great nails, so i don't mind a short wait when I arrive. read more

This place gave me a horrible experience, I had been in for acrylic toe nails with Michelle she had a few mistakes but nothing too big so obviously I come back for her dad to do my acrylic toes and oh my god he fucked my shit up. I have short stubby toes so they're not the easiest to deal with so this man was cutting my cuticles left and right. Extremely aggressive, wouldn't even acknowledge my cuts on my toes and put product all over let alone the fact he was moving my toes like they're so flexible. This was seriously the worst experience I've ever had getting a pedicure. So I book another appointment and I booked like a month in advance for my trip and make sure it's with MICHELLE and I call to confirm a week before my appointment just so they can tell me they can't do it they thought they called to cancel. Bull shit. Never coming here again and unless you wanna deal with rude people who are mean to your feet then this is your place to be. Never again. The whole time I got my pedi I was thinking I'm going to leave a horrible review but then I was like no I'll give them one more chance just for them to pull this bull shit? got me fucked up. Now I can't find anyone to do my acrylic toes for my Vegas trip. read more

Honestly was the second time I came to this place. I decided to give it a second chance. Then I got the most rudest guy for a pedi. He was in a total bad mood and he was rude wen. I asked him a question. I belive his name was Keny. He was a total jerk, super rude the whole time. Then it appeared to me they where making fun of the fact the guy was being rude to me it was so noticeable I found it disrespectful. And it's super expensive for small acrílic no color they charged me $30 , for a regular pedi $25 nothing special from the pedicure to be honest. read more

Saw all of the good reviews and nice pictures so this was the first nail salon I decided to try out since relocating to Turlock. The overall experience was so so , I will be trying a different spot next time around until I can find a place I really like. The things that turned me off at this spot was that during my pedicure I got a small cut on my toe that was sore for a few weeks. The manicurist I was set up with was very fidgety and clumsy, almost nervous I would say, throughout the whole thing, I don't know if she was new or something. Also they don't clean up your cuticles or prepare your real nails in any way at all when you get a full set . Every place I have been to before always did. I'm not sure if that is unusual or not but I felt like for the price I was paying it would have been nice to include that. The finished results of my full set were okay. She didn't seem like she was willing to take the time to shape my nails the way I wanted them either. Three stars for the selection of colors ,and because I think maybe some of the other manicurists their would have done a way better job. The fumes are so strong in this nail salon! I had a headache after 10 minutes of being in there. I will never be back! They need to a better ventilated system, of course they all have masks on so they fe it's fine not to make sure the clients are safe as well! The girl who did my nails was nice and conversative, but she cut my cuticles so deep that she cut me, & it kept bleeding even after I got home. There is no need to go that deep with cuticles at all, light cutting would've been just fine and wouldn't have cut me!! Wont be back! read more

So only four short days later....The girl's nails are still beautiful, but my own French tip on two nails have begun chipping as well as a third nail design (mid nail). Stay away from the the French tip as this is absolutely ridiculous (they usually last me a month+ whenever I get them done) and I'm on vacation, it's not like I'm doing anything strenuous with my hands that would normally cause them to get ruined... read more

I can't say enough good things about Lovely Nails. I've been going to Liz for years at Queen Nails. I spoil myself with a monthly pedicure. It's my way to de-stress. The massage chairs are the most comfortable in town and the environment is relaxing. There's no foreign chatter, everyone is very friendly and service is tailored to your needs. This place does a really good job they only reason why i am not goving them 5 stars is because they only take cash, they do have an ATM machine that tou can use to withdraw $ but that obviously comes with a fee. It is the 21st century i dont understand why they dont do cards! Very inconvenient so i will probably not go there again. read more

I chose this place for a pedicure based on the reviews. BAD IDEA!! Paula was the lady that did my "pedicure" it seemed as if if she was just learning. I kept asking her to trim my nails more, to even them out, etc. she didn't really buff them to ensure that the polish went on evenly. She wasn't even going to put a base coat on until I asked her. I wish I would have take a picture. About a week later I couldn't deal with how bad they looked so I removed the polish, evened them out and buffed them and applied the polish myself. Wouldn't recommend this place at all. For the price, you'd think you're getting. Professional looking pedicure. I would rather drive to Livermore to the girl that used to do my nails before I moved. read more

I've been to a few nail salons and Turlock and this one has to be the best yet. Their Shellac polish last so much longer! Mine stayed on for 3 weeks and normally it chips after 2 days when I go to other salons. Lovely Nails is very clean and the staff is very friendly and they were able to fit me in without an appointment. I most definitely will be back here. read more

I went here with my niece the first time for a pedicure and they did an amazing job. Not too expensive and gave a great massage. The second time I did gel acrylic with brock. I loved the color and the texture, but not each nail shape he did was the same and they began to grow out only five days later. I love this place and would go back but just make sure he begins the nail at the cuticle. read more

Very clean and nice inside, with a friendly staff. i'm not one to usually get pedicures, but liz made me feel very comfortable! she also asked me if there were specific things bothering me about my feet and when i said yes she made sure to take extra care of it, which i've never had been asked before in my previous experiences. she was also gently and took her time, glad i didn't have to wince my way through a painful pedicure. all in all great service! read more

I wish there was a zero available!!!! About a month ago I had an appointment with Brock. After being told he would be right with me, I sat and waited for almost an hour before I was seen. No explanation, nothing. When he was done, it looked like I still needed a fill. And he had my nails so thick and gunky that they started lifting within 4 days. I went to my old place a week later to get them fixed. My friend said I had to see Daysia. Ok. Made an appt for 2 1/2 weeks later. That is today. Arrived a few minutes before my time. After not being acknowledged by anyone, a woman comed out of the back to ask me if I need help. I told her I had an appt with Daysia. She said, oh, didnt she call you? She disnt come in today. But I think she tried calling you. Nope! Nothing. No curtesy call, no offer to have anyone else do my nails. Just, sorry. All I could say was OK, and walk out. I love getting my pedis here. They are super nice and attentive i finally decided to get my acrylics done and mmm i must say i wasn't as satisfied. The lady that did my nails started gluing the white tips without filing the sides so they would fit perfectly. My mistake was to not pay attention and let her do her job. There were two other girls standing beside her looking at what she was doing which i didnt mind. More people started coming in and the lady rushed to get my nails done. I got french tip which doesn't take long i feel like but little mistakes can make them look bad. Her not sizing the tips to my nails was a bad mistake because my nails look wide something i really dislike. Who should i ask for the next time i go?
