Stopped by here to get gas and to use the restroom. Love's is always consistent whenever I visit any of their locations. This location was very busy during my visit. Once I got to a gas pump, I was able to quickly gas up annnnnnnd get my receipt! There was a sticky substance near the pump I used so that was annoying. I ran in to use the restroom. Clean as whistle! It was easy to jump back on the interstate to resume my road trip to Gulf Shores! read more

I came here to fill up on gas on my back home from Destin this past weekend. They had one of the cheapest fuel prices I saw, and also have a rewards program for discounted gas. I believe it was something like 5-10 cents off a gallon? I'm not a member of the rewards program since there are not many Love's around me, but would highly recommend others to join that come here often. read more

Nearly two hours of driving and traffic (uh, Birmingham!) since the coffee back in Jasper and it's time for a second cup. This was a top notch stop with one of the cleanest restrooms I've seen in a Love's. Clean enough that I took a picture! Snacks, drinks and other tchotchkes in the store as well as the usual Love's setup for coffee with creamers and sweeteners and all well stocked. Love's Travel Plaza is just off of Interstate 65 and is a large, Queen gas station that has competitively priced gas, and Arby's fast food restaurants, offers both Diesel and regular gasoline and was an all-around pleasant experience. All in all, I would definitely recommend this establishment. Whether it's for gas, the grab something to eat, or just use the restrooms (or perhaps a combination of all three), this is a great option. read more

Love's often has some of lowest gas prices in the area. The station is always clean, well stocked, and has friendly staff. They have a wide variety of products inside, ranging from deli items, the usual run of gas stop snacks and drinks, phone accessories, home goods, clothing, and accessories. The food items here are quite good but if you find nothing that appeals there is a connection to Arby's. Love's offer's showers, as most nice truck stops do. I have never made use of their shower facilities but a trucker friend of mine assures me they have some of the nicest and they are well maintained. read more

The thing I will say about loves is it had very strict covid-19 protocols that were enforced were staff had to wear masks and had some plastic bank teller like things in front of their staff to protect them and customers had to wear masks... The gas has been always high quality and the snacks have always been fresh and delicious they have a serious amount of truck stop paraphernalia that if you're a traveler and need something specific whether it's a bungee cord or a light to attached to a load in your car or some other thing that you might think you need including the DVDs or CDs they have it. read more

Actually Ive never been here, but had a blow out on our motorhome not too far in Calera on 65 going south. We were on a narrow shoulder and it was busy afternoon traffic. Slow down people! We have a good friend thats an over the road trucker & when we called him for suggestions, he told us to call Loves. They were fantastic both on the phone & in person. They had the right size tire for our 43' diesel pusher motorhome and the repair tech was there to change it in about 45 min! He was so kind, respectful, knowledgable & thoughtful. We live in Jemison, not far from this Love's Travel stop. We stopped in recently for their coffee and my husband wanted an Arby's lunch. The first thing I noticed was that the restrooms were very clean. The second was that although it was afternoon, their coffee was fresh. Travelling along the Interstate, I've noticed that one cannot always find a good cup of coffee without paying $4-$5 a cup at an expensive name brand coffee shop. However, Love's has consistently good coffee at a reasonable price. The third thing I noticed were the trendy kid's and ladies' dresses available - and I immediately started my Christmas list and planned to go back when I had more time and hubby wasn't waiting! There's nothing like knocking out a Christmas list at one store. Love's has the usual hot food, drinks, snacks and supplies. The truck stop has the hot showers and convenience items for truckers. On the opportunity side, the ladies' room was out of paper towels - which is always aggravating. ,The other opportunity my husband noted was the higher prices for convenience and snack foods than other similar stores along the highway. I can't wait to stop into Love's the next time I'm in Clanton for coffee and shopping! read more

They had a clean bathroom and friendly cashier who told me to have a blessed day. Diet Coke offered in the fountain machine, what more can I ask for? The Arby's attached to it was a bit crowded, so I left the husband in line while I headed outside to be with my dogs. They had a rough week at the beach and they were antsy to get home. I will say one thing though as an observation, their prices are higher than most gas stations. Usually fountain drinks are $.99 or so, but here it they were like $1.50. The candy and fruit were a bit pricey too. So that's why I settled for Arby's, at least I had an excuse to eat fast food... a meal was cheaper than snacking. read more

This is a great place to stop. very large parking area. The restrooms are always nice and clean with a baby changing station. Mcdonalds is located inside for fast food convenience. The store has most traditional gas station items plus a variety of nick-naks. There is also a great coffee station. read more

Let's just say... Every single person I encountered, even the manager, has a horribly sour attitude. The girl working the truck entrance side had A chip on her shudder that showed in her intrusive voice as she screamed over the loud speaker for 'Arby's to pick up a call on line x'...at least 4 times in the 10 minutes I was in the store. The girl working the front counter wasn't nearly as bad as the 'screamer' in the back, but she definitely wasn't friendly, by any stretch. This Loves, unlike any other we have ever stopped at, is NOT RV friendly. Rv's and 18 wheelers take up about the same amount of space, and our particular one used about the same amount of diesel fuel..:but they didn't want RV's on the lot. They need to wipe the slate clean at that store and start over. Hire people who need a job and will be grateful to have one. read more
