We got white glove service here from the minute we walked in. You know exactly what you're getting yourself into when shopping at Lovesac and know their pricing structure, so no sticker shock here. If there was a 4.5 rating, I'd give it that, but since I can't, I'm rounding up to 5 stars. If you've never been to Lovesac before, basically you can build any shape sofa you want by using sectionals (or Sactionals as they brand it) to make up your sofa. Need a long sofa - no problem. Need a chase - no problem either. Want a recliner - they got ya. This is the second Lovesac sofa we have and can't speak highly enough about them. We like the firmness of the sofa seats, even the "soft" ones are firm and keep shape. There's too many colors and materials to choose from - we spent so much time trying to figure that out, but there's no rush. They have large swabs of material that can help you figure it out. Not a small 1x1 swab, but a large 3 or 4 foot swab to lay over one of their sofas. Delivery is pretty good, though we are still waiting for one piece to arrive - a back cushion, which is expected to take 6-8 weeks, even though the other 17 boxes came in within 2 days. That's really weird - how can one pillow take 6-8 weeks is beyond me. This is the reason for the .5 deduction if I could. It's not the fault of this retail location, but I have to hold the company as a whole accountable for this. read more

First off, let me tell you how uninviting and unwelcoming the sales people are in the store. For being a tiny little set up with only two sofas on display, three people behind the counter who just stare at you like vultures, no smiles, no warm or friendliness,, it's very daunting to even decide to step foot into this establishment. I had been pretty consistently checking out their sectionals online and decided to go in and see them in person. I must've been in the store less than 60 seconds because the sales people almost acted as if I wasn't good enough to be there or something. it was like they were annoyed that I was even there. Not the way you should feel as a customer anywhere. One man and woman stayed behind the counter and just stared at me. One came over as I BARLEY sat down on the edge of a sectional, and immediately started to give me some sort of sales pitch. I stopped him and pointed felt much lower to the ground than I had expected. His reply was go sit on the other one it's firmer. I said it's not about the cushion. It's about the height. My current sectional is quite a bit higher off the ground so it was an adjustment. He then says well, you haven't even seen the magic yet sit back While he hold the remote control in his hand. OK so what it reclines? That's not what I'm there for and from my point of view I don't even see that as a sales point. Never once did I mention anything about searching for a reclining sectional. At that point I responded with "No, that's okay" and "thank you" and then immediately walked out of the store. He shook his head like I had done something wrong as he returned to the counter, and I walked away. Even if that point if I had absolutely loved either one of the sectionals in their store, I can assure you I wouldn't have purchased it here because of how offputting these three sales people were. I would've gone online or to a different location and purchased it. Luckily for me , I don't get the hype about this brand or their sectionals and I will not be purchasing regardless. Sidenote to the company itself, you should be more mindful of the type of personalities you stick in your stores that will be interacting with your customers. We went to Costco and tried out the LoveSac beanbag. It was sooooo comfy. We have been looking for the ideal gamer chair and thought that this would be the one. We purchased ours online through Costco to save a couple hundred bucks - and everything arrived. Sac was huge! We got the 5 foot one but turning it over every day or so was too much. It's heavy and bulky and let's be real, fluffing it that often is not ideal. Also, the bag wasn't as fluffy as the one we tried at Costco. I think it had way more fluff than ours. We ended up returning it. Also-it says 1 adult and 2 kids can sit on it but if the adult is in the middle, the kids are basically on top of you. Getting out of it is difficult. read more

If I could give Lovesac zero stars, I would. This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've ever had with a company. We are STILL missing pieces from our order, and the complete lack of communication is beyond unacceptable. Trying to get ahold of anyone for help is nearly impossible--calls go unanswered, emails are ignored, and there is absolutely no urgency in resolving issues. For the price you pay, you'd expect at least decent customer service, but instead, you're met with delays, excuses, and a complete lack of accountability. I dropped by Lovesac wanting to test out a few of their sac models and to try out their couches just so I had an idea of what they felt like for future purchases. Their couches are pretty standard in terms of comfort, but I love how it's a modular design so you can easily change the configuration to meet different needs. Regarding the sacs, they only have two models available (super sac and pillowsac) in their showroom which is unfortunate. The sacs are massive so unless you have a huge space, it definitely won't work for most apartments/condos. My main concern would be transporting them in a move due to the size and weight. Overall though, I didn't like the supersac. It was extremely firm and uncomfortable (overstuffed maybe?) with no support. However, I fell in love with the pillow sac since it offers much more support when tilted on the side (though it's definitely not comfortable for 2 people). The sacs here are expensive but I didn't realize the covers were almost the same price as the sacs themselves. It would've been nice if their swatches listed the price, but their pricing isn't very transparent. I didn't see pricing anywhere in the store or on their pamphlets. They did have a sale for 25% off sacs and 15% off the pillowsacs and smaller sacs so I would definitely wait (if you can) for a sale before purchasing. Regarding the experience, I wish there were more products in their showroom to test out. The employees were extremely nice and I never felt pressured to purchase anything. My husband came with a LoveSac Sactionals couch when I married him, and we do like it quite a bit, but after several years, we suspected that the cushions were not as firm as they once were. When another friend recently got a new Sactionals couch, we had a better comparison and can confirm that our cushions are definitely noticeably squishier now. We stopped by the store in the mall to ask about whether the holiday sale of the time would apply to purchasing new cushions (and perhaps a new section to add to our current configuration), and also to peruse the fabric swatches, as we've been considering perhaps swapping out the covers for another color. It really seems as though the LoveSac sales and promotions only ever apply to brand new couch purchases, rather than replacements or refreshes (or even new covers), and the staff seemed visibly less interested in us once they realized we were not there for a brand new couch or sac purchase. My wife and I went to three different Lovesac showrooms. In the process, we enjoyed the comfort of the sofa, found out how to put it together, so we thought. We purchased a 5 piece base. Downhill from there. Had no idea so much manual labor would be involved. Fed ex dropped off 18 boxes on our driveway, in the rain. It took a good 4 hours just to unbox them. They said to breakdown the boxes, luckily we didn't. The instruction videos make it look easy to assemble. Everything was a very tight fit, the piping never lined up the same on each item. The side angles were the worst. We called customer support, after she laughed at our problems, she told us to "ride it like a horse" to make it fit. No luck. We got down to 4 side angles and called the Germantown TN store we purchased it from, and asked if we could bring them in to help us fit them. They said no. We called customer back, was told to repackage everything and then they would send us 18 separate shipping labels. Another 4 hours, and they are now awaiting shipment. For the amount of money, not worth the effort for an unimpressive looking sofa. We have been told we will get a full refund. We can only hope. read more

When we first purchased our love sac we were thrilled! It seemed like the best possible option with so much versatility and we loved the 60 day guarantee. Our issues came in everything related to shipping, exchanges, returns, and customer service at the store in valley Fair. So let's start with delivery. 1) We were told 3 weeks for the sofa to arrive. It arrived in 4 days. This was horrible for so many reasons. We hadn't had time to get all our other furniture out but it also was all dropped off in our driveway in the rain. We did not get any information that it would show up that day so we had to carry in 20 insanely heavy boxes inside our house in the rain. 2) the sofa was way too firm for us. This isn't a big deal because there are 3 different levels of softness so we called in and they said they would send us the softer cushions. The problem now is that when it comes to exchanges, it is a 14 week wait. This means sitting on an uncomfortable sofa for almost 4 months and then the 60 day guarantee is over. They do NOT restart the 60 days for when you get the new cushions 3) we decided we didn't want to risk it so we decided to just return it and get a refund. The process was simple they said. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. First, they wouldn't send the Fed-ex labels until we got the boxes, not the end of the world, but more time waiting on hold. Also, as it turns out they didn't send boxes for any of the accessories we were returning so we had to get our own boxes for them (not a free return anymore). 4) we set up for pick up on Friday between 8-6pm. I stayed home all day, Fed-ex never came. So I called customer service and they said they didn't know why but fed-ex would come Saturday between 8-6pm. Again, I stayed home to make sure it went smoothly. Again, fed-ex didn't show up. At this point it is raining outside and I had to go buy a tarp to cover the boxes or else I'd have to carry 17 boxes back inside the house! So again I called love sac but this time spoke to an assistant manager. She said they were so sorry and she called Fed-ex customer service and arranged for pick up Monday between 8-6pm. She said she would be watching the system all day Monday to make sure it got picked up. Again I stayed home. Again Fed-ex never came. When I called the store, this time I spoke with Lisa. She kept saying it wasn't their fault and it's up to Fed-ex. I pointed out my contract wasn't with Fed-ex that it was with Love sac and she said she would call her district manager and come up with a solution. Two hours later, my husband loaded all the boxes into a friends pick up truck and we drove them to Fed-ex ourselves. I called back to the store to tell Lisa I figured it out and learned she had gone home for the day. She never called me back. Never talked to her manager, never came up with a solution, and never called me. Worst customer service ever. Final thoughts: sure, the product is beautiful, but getting it to your house safely is sketchy at best, and if you have any issues, you won't be able to get those issues resolved. Yelp said they closed at 8pm and we get there before 7:30 and the doors were locked and 2 random people just chillin on the sacs chatting it up and they clearly saw us cause they turned around and said nothing. We saw another lady behind the till that worked there and she didn't look up to let us know if the store was closed. There was no sign saying they were closed. I know the people In there were not customers cause the lady working there wasn't helping them but casually conversing with them and they seemed like they've been sitting there for a long time like friends. I have walked passed Lovesac so many times for many years. I don't know what prompted me to go in last week. I'm so glad I did! It was the best experience revelation wise as far as what this furniture really is. It's a far cry from my low opinion of I thought the college type of furniture. It's not! It's all grown up and fancy. Most of all it is really, truly not just sactional(sectional) but pieces! The different chair pieces are held by what looks like giant dowels. Lift, pull out or push in and voila! You have this different configurations for your furniture. They also have super fun covers. Different textures and the colors are endless. You can go plain or go super artistic! Sometimes a different color furniture makes for a good mood. The staff talked about changing the covers based on the season. Furry sac covers for when it's cold and cotton ones for warmer days. (Lol! I get giggly here.) If you have pets they suggest patterns as covers! I love the sac chair with the recliner. The recliner comes off from under and is very comfortable! I want! The staff were amazing. I brought Adam here and he's impressed as well. You can move pieces into any configuration you want, and to boot, you can wash the covers, so spill the red wine...its ok! you can take the cover off and wash it out! Ive been researching and visiting and sitting in these things for months before my boyfriend and I decided to finally purchase. With 18mo no interest, who could say no? The staff was way cool and super knowledgeable. Matt and Nate were super helpful. We were able to take our couches home that day which was awesome. They didn't have the covers we wanted that day, so the store manager was so nice, he offered to go out of his way to make sure we got them in a jiffy, and said he would meet with us after hours on a Sunday so we could get them. Their customer service is horrible. Cold, unfriendly, and do absolutely nothing to make things right. I have not bought a product, but I had enough issues to know this is not a place to put my money into. Maybe the product itself is good, maybe you are luck and won't have any issues. Maybe you'll need customer service, and will face this: Swatches: ordered a few, they come randomly, if at all. I have swatch orders that have not shipped in one month. Contacted customer service, they say there is nothing they can do, asked me to wait one month, if it doesn't arrive, order again and wait for one month. Zero commitment. Account: they launched a new website last week. Accounts are gone, there was no prior notice and they didn't even care to copy the customers from the previous website, including your order history. Everything is gone, you need to create a new account. Even though I only had swatch orders, if I had product orders there they would be completely gone. Coupon: I had a cart ready, with a referral $100 coupon applied. Everything is gone. I complained to customer service and they wrote this: "As far as the website, we relaunched our site on an entirely new platform and had to start customer accounts from scratch, every single customer was impacted and that is beyond our control unfortunately. All customers were advised to start new accounts with brand new passwords.". I don't know if you notice, but they never even apologized. It shows an attitude of a business that might be doing too good to care about you. Again, zero commitment, don't even offer to reissue the coupon ($100) I lost. They clearly don't care, at all. Referrals: I referred some people to help them with their discount ($100) and also of course to receive a discount ($100). All referrals' links are now broken. They fully stopped working. I tried to regenerate, and the new link (new website platform) also doesn't work. Nobody tested, nobody cared about past/ongoing referrals. I'm not being rewarded for referring other people, because the original account where I should receive the coupon is gone (like all other accounts). You might say: skip online, go to a showroom. However, what is else is bad in this business? I can't be comfortable spending thousands of dollars here with the customer service I received above. There are not many competitors, I found HomeReserve.com (pretty nice, but don't have experience with them, will start dealing with them now). If you need to save money, Ikea also has their sectionals, like the "Vallentuna". If you are having poor customer service, you'd better save money and stay with Ikea. If you know other places where I can find similar products, please share. I looooooovesac!!! This place is amazing - one visit and you'll lovesac as well! I ended up buying a pillow sac, which was perfect for the space that I needed it, as I can lean it up against a wall to make a traditional chair, or I can lay it on it's side lengthwise and turn it into a really comfy lounger. The staff was really helpful and knowledgeable. You could tell that they are really into their product. I also bought a custom cover for my sac, and when it arrived, it just wasn't as comfortable as the brand new loaner cover that they let me borrow while I waited for the custom to arrive. I informed the staff this, and they just let me keep the loaner! (As a side note, just buy one of their in-store covers over the lower-end customs. The in-store covers seem to be higher quality than the customs). My only complaint is that there never seams to be enough staff around, as they are always being bombarded by questions from people who have never been in the store before. Back at it again! Just a tad over two years later as I just gave my sister my 5 Series Sactional in Taupe Rhino plush (AKA Taupe Velvet) and decided to upgrade to the 6 series Sactional. I worked with Alex, and she was amazing! LoveSac never fails to disappoint. I came in knowing I'd get the same setup I had before but of course in the standard size 6. The only hard part was this time, around, they had different options for couch fills (only on the 6 series BTW). There is the standard foam, Downblend, and LoveSoft. Of the 3 options, I was fine with the Foam, Downblend felt TOO soft for me, but the Lovesoft was just right. The only two issues though were: 1. If I bought Lovesoft, it would have been 12 weeks out, and I was just about to give my sister my 5 Series so i didn't want to be "Sactional-less" for 12 weeks. 2. They have a sale currently, the more you buy the more you save. So the 5 Base + 5 Sides had additional 20% BUT only on the foam, NOT the lovesoft which sucks but what can you do? But anyways, because I'm kind of impatient AND I also didn't mind saving 20%, I just went ahead and got the foam fill but this time, with a new texture and color: Tan Chenille. It looks amazing in my space! Considering how I originally bought a 5 series to give the illusion that my condo was bigger than it was, I was WAY too tall for my 5 series. The 6 Series is just right. The ONLY gripe I have is - it's not as firm as I'd like it to be in comparison to my old, smaller, and denser 5 Series Sactional. Perhaps it's the covers? ** Fun Fact: Alex taught me that certain types of covers can give couches a different feel. Like we tried a "Royal Velvet" cover on the LoveSoft and it felt super firm to my liking. And then we changed covers to a "Chenille" and it didn't feel as firm. Different fabrics have different elasticities (if that makes sense) thus changing the "Feel" I want to say. Weird, I know. So perhaps I need to get different covers, I don't know? BUT I wasn't too fond of the Royal Velvet as it kind of "Sparkled" in the lighting and I didn't care for that. AND Plus to go through the hassle of an exchange and then wait for new covers to come in, I'm good with my Tan Chenille for now (yea, I know I'm pretty easy going). But overall, give LoveSac a go! I really like how you can configure the couch around, get new covers (which I know aren't cheap either). Just PLEASE avoid Asian/Mexican furniture stores that sell those cheap sectionals, I bought one at Ricks Furniture in DT San Jose in 2009 Prior to my first LoveSac and that lasted a good year before sagging (Then my sister took that couch and it finally gave way in 2015). Like a bed, invest in a good couch...or else you'll be dumping $750 here, $500 there...might as well invest more for a good couch that will last long. My Lovesac has been really comfortable and I would have liked to give them a good review...but the experience of dealing with them has been an absolute nightmare. I spent over $2000 dollars on merchandise I intend to keep. However, Lovesac will not refund my money for "out of stock" items and pillow cases I have ALREADY RETURNED. I have spoken to 5 different reps, each of which told me they were solving the problem and that the person I contacted previously did something wrong in the system. It has now been two months and I am still waiting for over 200 dollars "stuck in the system". It seems Lovesac's response to Covid has been to get rid of their customer service department. Instead, they are having branch managers moonlight as customer service reps in their downtime. These managers are unfamiliar with the system and although well intentioned, not able to resolve issues. Ordered a couch for $8000-ish in January and spent the required 24-48 hours unboxing it and assembling it. It's a great couch, but one of the back pillows the store recommended was the wrong size. On its face, that's no big deal, but returns are difficult due to packaging. Ok, no big deal... will pay an extra $200 and have an extra back pillow, which I did. 4-5 months later, and I'm still waiting for one GD back pillow. None of the customer service agents I've spoken to have any power or ability to make it happen. I finally asked, "If I order a new couch today, do I need to wait 6 months for pillows?" The answer, well, "you could order another complete unit and take the pillow out." The customer service is not only bad, it's non-existent. I placed an order for a sactional online and the financing is incorrect. I have tried multiple times over the last week to call the 1-888 number and have yet to speak to a sales associate. The store is unable to fix it, and because it was ordered online, doesn't appear to have much incentive for them to help me. The store associate told me just to return and reorder. May sound easy, but I have to wait until my return is received to reorder, but then the sale/special financing will be over. Also talk about a waste of money! There are 19 huge packages to be shipped and returned, just to be sent back again to my home? I am returning this and going to give my money to a company that will appreciate my business. read more

My husband and I would walk in here to 'try' out the lovesac all the time. When it came time to buy a new couch, we knew that it would be a Sactional. We hemmed and hawed for a couple of months over how many pieces we needed and what covers we wanted. We never once felt pressured by the sales people that we needed to buy right then and they we're always patient with our many questions. We ended up buying 7 seats and 8 sides, plus two sets of covers. We went back the next week and got some accessories. Then a couple months later, we went back and got some more sides so we can set it up in a specific layout. It's now een a year and a half and we're still in live with our Sactional. read more

I've passed by Lovesac soo many times, not really knowing what this place was all about. Well I mean taking a glance at the place you can right off the bat tell it's some type of furniture store. And some kind of furniture it is!!! My gf brought me in here for the first time and told me to try one of their love sacs, which the look is very much like a good ol' bean bag. Although.... Their love sacs here are ridiculously comfortable! So comfortable I wouldn't mind using it as my bed every night. Not only does this place sell love sacs, but they also have couches that you can easily rearrange depending on different parties or get together you are having. If it wasn't for my gf telling me not to buy one, I really think I would've left my first visit here with a love sac. Their furniture is just soooo comfy. It was really hard for me to pass up. I'm telling you though, check this place out of you are looking for some new furniture. You won't be disappointed. read more

We completely changed our opinions of softness and fabric after seeing everything in the store and talking to the associate Jake. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all of the options and had good suggestions based on what we needed and were looking for. Recommend going in for sure. read more

San Francisco store is so much better than Valley Fair. I had a difficult experience with them because they were playing phone tag/ phone chicken with me and my boyfriend for two weeks. We ordered our couch and they told us we could place a $200 deposit and come back to get our couch and pay in full. (We ordered the 5 series 3 bases and 4 sides) However, we waited for almost 3 weeks until we finally gave them a call. That's where the phone tag comes in. Long story short, we were hanging dry for so long and they told us that we had to pay our couch in full to even get it, which we were not informed about. We come into the store and they told us that we still had to wait for our couch for an extra week. We weren't going to take that. We told them we will consider driving to SF and just get our couch there - until they said the SF (Stonestown) store was also sold out. We didn't believe it, so I gave the SF store a call...they opened a few days earlier and said they had everything in stock. We called the VF store out and then they realized what idiots they were, and they asked if there's a way to change our minds. Sorry, our minds were decided and got our deposit refund and left that horrible store. Great couch, but Valley Fair has the worst service I could ever imagine. They really need to work on their customer service and how to keep retention. Work on it, dudes. Especially that manager. read more

I went to Park Medows in order to check these guys out in person. I was having a party that weekend and needed an extra comfy spot or two. The silly hipster, a caricature of conformity, went through his spiel on how they are not bean bags and ...sort of (wink wink) offered me a special deal. Note that there is no inventory in the store. It takes weeks to receive one regardless of whether you order it in-store or online. For the price they want, you shouldn't have to wait. I would think that spending that much money for "not a bean bag" some foam and a case would cover SOME in store inventory. The product itself was fine, the cases soft, but nothing I would want to sit in for very long. They all seemed either too full, and pitched me forward, or else had no back support. For the price point and across the hall, hit Pottery Barn or Crate and get something much more comfortable and cute (and occasionally/potentially mass-handmade). read more

Love love love my lovesac! I brought my boyfriend in on a whim one weeknight after hearing about these couches from my boss. My BF immediately fell in love with them after the demo from the awesome rep Ali. I was shocked, since I knew they were a small fortune, and thought I'd for sure be turned down once my Bf heard the price. Ali went over the demo so well it sold my Bf that night (honestly i think Ali could have said they were double the cost and my Bf would have still seen the value in them) We bought the couches and are constantly reconfiguring them within our apartment. Our daughters have split drinks on them -- we've washed and no problems! Am for sure a life long customer. Would highly recommend to anyone, especially families with small kids since the machine washable is second to none! read more

There is NO LOVE, at Love sac! All I can say is this was the worst purchase I have EVER experienced! I purchased 2 sacs, 2 squatamans, and covers for all. when I got them I was super excited, I put the covers on the sacs and then tried to put them on the squatamans and couldn't get the one on, it didn't have a large enough opening. So I put the other one aside and planned on exchanging it. After a few weeks of Trying to get these sacs positioned well enough to feel like the ones in the store but I couldn't, we decided to return them. They sent us bags the same size of the ones they shipped them to me in. But no instructions on how to get these sacs deflated well enough to fit back in the bags. On Sunday morning we decided to suck the air out of them and get them ready for return. we tried for almost 2 hours to get them deflated with my vacuum. I even pulled out my little shop vac! They would not deflate enough to be able to stuff them back in the bags they sent us. So I called the 800 customer service #. i explained to him how difficult it was to deflate these things, I did not recall anyone telling me that in order to return these sacs i would have to do manual labor! It was so difficult to get these things deflated! the guy I spoke with told me I could take them to the store since it was impossible to get them in the little bags. After all I have a normal vacuum but probably no where near the power that the manufacturer has! But yet we are expected to spend our time to deflate these to the same size that their industrial vacuums can. anyway we call the store and the store said they would call corporate to verify and they would call me back In 5-10 mins. I said ok, but we are leaving soon so we will be on our way. They never called back. my call log was blank. So we show up and they argue with us. Say they tried to call which I know is BS, they say they can't take the bags back and that we should find a friend who has a more powerful vacuum!! such awesome customer service. I called customer service while in the store, and he too was unhelpful and rude! I was very upset, i mean I spent $1700 on these things with a 60 day return policy and I can't return the damn things bc I can't get them back into the bags they sent and now they won't take then back at the store either. After telling the 800 number what his associate had told me and he said no we could do that I got even more pissed! he told me he would call me back when I calmed down, and hung up, as if I have no right to be pissed for their lack of service! so we bought a larger shop vac and got them deflated, at this point we have spent about 5 hours dealing with this crap! Monday morning I called get the return labels sent to me, I told the girl my experience and she said oh that's horrible and told me she would have her customer service manager call me ASAP! That was Monday at 9am, it is Wednesday at 10 pm and I haven't heard a peep from them. So if you like to be treated like crap and get the run around and if you like the feeling of buyers remorse go ahead get one of these! But if you like to be treated like a valued customer, don't purchase anything from them, go elsewhere! read more
