I had an online order I had to pick up. They have a special area outside for pickup orders. You let them know you are there in the App. I rang the bell for service and an employee quickly came. He knew who I was and had my package ready. I asked him if he could open the box to make sure my baking dish wasn't broken. I had ordered this same baking dish three separate times and had it delivered to my house and all arrived broken. Luckily this time it was in perfect shape. The worst experience. I purchased a dresser for $2,000 and still never received it. They made the COI incorrectly, which caused delivery issues, and then nobody properly fixed the problem. I wasted so much time making calls and following up, and of course nobody is going to compensate me for that. After countless phone calls, Tasha simply refused to deliver the dresser. 4 star products, 5 star service We recently purchased a set of bodega glasses from this location and enjoyed perusing the other glassware options. The glasses are very reasonably priced although I noticed when I was selecting them that there were about a quarter with imperfections - slight variations in glass transparency, bumpy edges. For the value I think it's still worth it but I would inspect closely. What I really appreciated was our cashier Mari, who was extremely upbeat, carefully packaged our items (one little hack is that if you get your items boxed you don't pay the bag fee), and also checked our glasses and found one with a bumpy edge! This gave me the opportunity to retrieve a better glass. I'm so thankful for her meticulous, friendly service. We also have a C&B couch that has held up fantastically and shopped for it here. My boyfriend and I went to this location to see if we could find a vase for my mom but while we were browsing we noticed that the employees seemed to just circle around us to see what we were doing instead of actually servicing and making us feel unwelcomed. My sister had also mentioned to me that her and her bf had a similar experience in which they just felt they were being watched and not actually serviced. I feel like this location slightly judges based of stereotypes since me and my boyfriend are young adults around pretty expensive furniture, I can see why they would have that judgement upon us but it's not right. In the end I felt uncomfortable walking out without purchasing anything so I purchased a nice green vase . We did wait 10 min to get rung up. We were looking for new sets of kitchen dishes, including low bowls and cereal bowls. We've had our eyes on the craft speckled sets and decided to go into the store to make a purchase.Upon entrance, an employee opened and held the door for us to enter, which was very polite. I approached a busy employee to see if she was available to assist us, but unfortunately, she wasn't able to help at that moment. However, she kindly reached out to another employee on our behalf. I truly appreciated her thoughtfulness in finding us support. Elena provided us with excellent assistance during our visit. She maintained a professional demeanor while being approachable and friendly. By holding our items at the counter, she allowed us the freedom to explore the store without feeling rushed. I appreciated her patience and the time she permitted us to browse. During checkout, she engaged us in conversation about our experience, which added a personal touch to our interaction. Overall, her commitment to great customer service was evident. I would like to express my appreciation for Trevor, who took the time to approach us while we were exploring espresso machines. He did an excellent job of thoroughly explaining the various Breville models and sharing valuable insights about the products. CRATE & BARREL KIDS REVIEW: Crate & Barrel Kids is located in a corner of the 2nd floor of C&B on Santana Row. I was looking for kids bedding and wasn't expecting much since the kids section is just a small corner of the store, but I was pleasantly surprised by selection of bedding available. The quality of their bedding is exceptional and their designs are modern but not weird (if you know what I mean). They also have some nice kids furniture, including cribs, beds, desks, and tables & chairs. Of course due to space, there isn't a huge selection of furniture, but what they had out was really nice. read more

We had a really good buying experience at this Crate & Barrel. It's conveniently located in the Santana Row shopping area and right next to a structured parking lot. It's definitely a much more priced home store, but the quality is pretty good. There was an item I was looking online to buy in store. This allowed me to come see the item on display before deciding to buy it. The staff was really helpful in locating the item for us and then bringing it out to our car. They instructed for us to drive up and that someone will help load it. Overall it was a seamless shopping experience. read more

This place was everything I could have hoped for as a customer. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by a very friendly and helpful employee named Mary. I needed to stock an entire kitchen from owning zero of what I needed. Having just moved here, I wanted to start fresh. And owned nothing. Mary and I walked around for quite some time, choosing everything from plates to peelers to bathroom towels. She easily entered my selections and changed and updated them as I changed my mind again and again. I took home my quote the first day and went to my hotel to make changes. I returned the next day to finalize and place the order. This is when Megan came from behind the scenes and coordinated every item on my list. To be concise, Megan and Mary choreographed the entire order. Some stuff I packed out in four bags with the rest of the stuff in two weeks. (My needed date) As I awaited the finalization of my order, Megan had employees arriving from all over the store to prepare it. It literally was "all hands on board," making it happen. This was one of, if not the best, shopping experiences I have ever had. I personally want to thank Mary and Megan. I also wanted to acknowledge how so many employees just said, "Hello." I shall return to use the free designer services because of how well I was treated. I received a gift for a Nespresso Aeroccino 4. I already had a 3 at home so didn't open it to use until a few months later. When I opened it inside the box was a Nespresso Aeroccino 3 and not the 4. Took the receipt and the item back to explain it to the representative who sent me to his manager Kilmer to explain the situation all over again. The item is not used and the item as purchased at Stanford Palo Alto. Kilmer's response was it's not our fault you need to go talk to Palo Alto because if he took this back it would mess with their inventory. I live in San Jose I'm not going to drive to Palo Alto for a mistake that Crate and Barrel made. I mentioned that this was an issues, Nordstrom or Target and even Walmart would take it back. Kilmer replied with Crate and barrel is not that type of store. I asked Kilmer to write me a note for the Stanford store and he didn't feel comfortable. Obviously he is not a true manager or wants to help a customer for a mistake Crate and Barrel made. Needless to say, I'll just stick to Amazon, Walmart or Nordstrom who provides better service. My husband and I recently visited the Santana row Crate and Barrel and purchased a sectional with the help sales associate, Aubree Grider. She was extremely knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire experience. She offered guidance and was patient with us when rendering many different configurations and talking us through all our options. Not once did we feel like she was trying to make a sale but rather that she wanted us to decide on something that we were ultimately happy with. We left feeling confident with our purchase and the over all experience. We will definitely be coming back soon for some additional pieces and we look forward to working directly with her again. Our salesperson, Diane, is awesome. I trust her taste and her judgment. She went out of her way to help us pick out the perfect sectional. We had an issue with the corner cushion because it was sinking way too early in its lifespan (pretty much immediately) so customer service was responsive enough to have it replaced. I expect no less from a place like Crate and Barrel. Their products are top notch and they go out of their way to be helpful. Also, their credit card (if you can pay if off quickly) is totally worth the 10% return. You keep going back for more purchases. :-) Lots more home decorating with this place! read more

I bought an apron for a friend's birthday in late March this year and she gave it back to me and said it's too big on her and asked if I can return it. Since it's over 30 days, it's not returnable nor exchangeable. It's totally understandable since it's the store policy, what's not acceptable to me was the store manager's attitude. She said to me in an monotone voice and poker face "we don't even carry that product (apron) any more!"... Sure enough, there were still a lot of the same aprons in the store. I brought the kettle back to Crates&Barrel in Santana row to ask for a replacement because I discovered that this leaking situation happened to the other customers, and I am not the first one neither the last one who has to suffer this bad quality product. And my kettle is still under 1 year warranty ( from my purchase time on Feb 17th 2023 to now is December 26th = around 10 months only) Ridiculously, Crates&Barrel denied all the liabilities with their low and bad quality products and push it to the side of Haden company (kettle brand). You guys should never buy this Haden kettle from Crates&Barrel if you guys don't wanna be in my situation! TLDR: if you're signing up for the registry event, download the app ahead of time and to be honest, you could do most of the registry stuff on the app/online. But go if you want the freebies! -- After seeing so many reels/tiktoks about Crate & Barrel's registry events, when I got engaged I knew I had to sign up for one. Finally, we're at the time to start our registry so I signed up for a registry event at this Crate & Barrel. Typically, registry events are private events held before the store opens. However, due to holiday hours, the store was open while this month's registry event happened. No big deal - it's such a huge store and it didn't really matter to us if it was private. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Judy who was the Le Creuset rep. She guessed correctly that we were there for the registry event and brought us to the Crate & Barrel staff to check in. It was clear that the staff was frazzled, maybe because of the new hours(?). The customer service from them was pretty curt and you could almost feel the stress they were feeling. They told us that they couldn't check us in at the moment since they were busy with other customers and honestly, it felt like they were speaking kinda rudely to Judy. I will say, later they did apologize for being so frazzled earlier and we weren't really bothered by it so it was all good. Anyways, Judy helped us out while they were busy and gave us more info about Le Creuset, gave us a free Le Creuset magnet, AND she made us complimentary crepes. She also gave us her own personal tips for registries (like register for more cups than you think because some might break, etc). All around Judy was super helpful and really the only reason why I was thinking about giving this 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. The registry event was pretty simple though. You download the app and scan barcodes for items you'd like to add to your registry. For some reason, scanning wasn't working for us so we ended up just manually adding the SKU codes to the app. We also got a free gift (two wine glasses) and a goodie bag of bridal/wedding booklets and registry info. The store itself was nice and clean as many Crate & Barrels are. Well organized and everything was easy to find. Park in the free Santana row parking garage across the street! read more

POSITIVE EXPERIENCE: Jade was awesome, we traveled 44 mins (38 miles) to pick up items not in stock at the Walnut Creek location. Although we had the WC store check SJ system inventory for 7 it wasn't accurate, next time we will take Jade's advice and call the store and purchase over phone for pick up. He was proactive in getting us info immediately for in stock merch we were seeking, then made sure we were completely satisfied with our visit by staying close by while hubbs completed his store phone purchase and asked if I was looking for anything specific. NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE: When we first arrived One unmentionable blonde saw us approaching the desk and she took off just to offer help to the next person walking in to the store - very wierd. So hubbs had to track her down. She said she'd check on the item but started ringing a customer up. Hubbs went back up to the desk to ask her was she going to help us find our items. After a rather unsuccessful browse over at Sur la Table, I felt that it was time to walk across the street to Valley Fair to continue my Christmas shopping hell. As soon as I saw Crate and Barrel, I knew I had to take a peak inside though I am fully aware that the things here are awesome but expensive at the same time. It fathoms me that I have no check ins here and I have shopped here on several occasions. I was a tad disappointed but what can I do? The world has bigger problems. Anyway. As soon as I stepped inside, my eyes were fixated on pretty much everything. This is a great place to not only get gifts but gifts for yourself, too. I find myself marveling over every centerpiece, every aisle, every shelf, and every basket. There were a lot of seasonal items as well as cool kitchen gadgets that were on sale. Fondue sets were on sale among a lot things for the "I love to cook" people. In the end I grabbed a festive (red) fondue set and a plate and bowl setting w/ chopsticks holders (seriously these are so cute and practical). I almost grabbed some for myself but figure I should get gifts out of the way first before I embark on retail therapy. There are a few cash register kiosks so the lines were disbursed and it moves quickly. The girl that rung me up was pleasant and friendly. She wrapped my 2 gifts and gave me a gift receipt w/ a smile on her face. I bought 3 items for less than $30 so not only it was a bargain but I am 100% sure my 2 recipients will love their gifts. read more
