It aims to be an inclusive community hub with events, author signings, and merchandise, featuring cozy reading nooks and a focus on diverse voices in romance but also an amazing children's book and sitting area that is perfection to every momma bear ! While in Boston I promised my mini I'd buy her a new book for her collection back home and this book store caught my eye while having a beautiful evening stroll with my love. Service is so sweet and kind , the set up is cozy and the smell of coffee and books is simply perfection. Value is fantastic as well ! One of my favorite book stores in Boston. It has so many romance books for the girlies with a huge section of contemporary romance. They also had children, horror, educational, fiction and more. I recently visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed with people so just be mindful of the time you are visiting. They had every genre of book from mystery to fiction to children to romance. They also had lots of gifts that are book related and not. The cafe had a really long line so I didn't get to try it, but there were a bunch of tables where you could grab a coffee and read a book. They also had outdoor seating for warmer months. The employees were walking around and able to help if you needed it which was helpful when I was looking for a particular book. The prices of the books are a bit high, but that is expected at popular book stores. I recommend checking it out. read more

Was a literal dream come true for me. The excitement of seeing such a well stocked, gorgeous, and dreamy setting for happy endings was nonstop. You can find any romance trope here whether by indie authors or by NY Times bestsellers. So cute!! I stumbled upon this super cute coffee shop/book store/ wine bar Saturday night. It was pretty late in the day but I was craving coffee and found this new hot spot in Harvard square. Instead of ordering at the counter type of place they offer table service with a full menu of coffee, snacks and wine. They even have a charcuterie board!!! My boyfriend and I ordered coffee (mocha lattes) and a charcuterie board to share. As we were waiting for our coffee we quickly glanced at the bookstore and discovered that it was full of romantacy novels! The waitress commented and mentioned that the store is 80% romantacy novels!!! As she brought over our food and drinks. Wow!! After enjoying our yummy charcutteri board and delicious George Howell coffee. We browsed the book shelves. I found the best sellers table and grabbed a book! It was pretty cool seeing some of the novels were actually signed by the author! I can't wait to come back! They also have free super cute bookmarks! read more

I've wanted to come to Lovestruck Books for a while, and I'm so glad I did! It's such a beautiful and cozy bookstore. The decor is stunning; it's all pink themed, with flowers and a very romantic inspired vibe, really matching the concept of the bookstore. I also got a coffee in the George Howell coffee inside, and it was such a lovely coffee experience to have it in such a pretty space. Literally stumbled upon this less than a year old bookstore in Harvard Square. What an amazing find as we were wandering around after dinner and was lured in by the George Howell signage. The barista was kind enough to accommodate with decaf pour overs . We pair and found seats and table nearby. Although we didn't have time to browse the vibe was wonderfully relaxing. Another staff came by to pour water for us--a surprise since we didn't expect restaurant service. A few minutes later our pour overs were ready and staff accommodated us with warmed milk. WHAT WONDERFUL SERVICE for a coffee shop! The decor took us to a totally different place all for the price of Geo Howell coffee. This is a must when visiting HSq! read more

This is SUCH a cute bookstore!!! Perfect for shopping for gifts and meeting up with friends for drinks at. I loved all the merchandise (the hats and tote bags especially). There's a George Howell coffee shop in the bookstore which also serves alcoholic drinks after a certain hour. There's a good amount of seating as well. The cashier was nice, and I liked that there were so many options to choose from (there was also a seasonal menu). read more

The grand opening of Lovestruck books in Harvard Square! There's a wine bar and coffee at the area's first romance bookstore. Bostons first romance bookstore is a great addition to Harvard Square. In addition to books there are unique gifts to choose from. They also seem to have a calendar full of upcoming events. The location is cozy with indoor and outdoor seating. Though it is a romance bookstore, I did find some other genres. I loved how the different types of romance books were organized so it's so easy to find what you're looking for. There's a lot of different books to choose from. The staff is friendly. I had an iced mocha from George Howell Coffee to go and the coffee and pastries are on par price wise with what I'd expect in the area. I am obsessed with this bookstore. Every time I'm in the area I have to stop in and browse their selection of books. The staff is always very helpful and the displays are very well done. They have a great selection of romance books and also have smaller sections for non-romance genres. The prices there are what you would expect for a novelty bookstore but is not very different from prices you would see at other big stores. read more

With their book selection, there was everything from YA to the history of women! Prices were very reasonable for gifts! Absolutely adorable bookstore!! It focuses mainly on romance. ANY TYPE OF ROMANCE YOH COULD WANT! The selection is insane. They also have a section that's "blind date with a book". They wrap the book in brown paper and give you a few bullet points describing it and you just take the plunge. I did this with a few girlfriends and we all bought one then grabbed a coffee and sat on the patio to do an unveiling. Such a fun concept. There's also a smaller section of other non-romance books too so don't be afraid to bring a friend who only hits the historical section. The staff is super friendly and very helpful if you need anything. The prices are pretty standard for books. Maybe a little more than Amazon or sometimes a little less, but it all seemed very fair. They also have a rewards program to sign up and save. There's serval sitting areas if you want to stay and read or work on your laptop. And a coffee shop right inside. Will definitely be back to this store! read more

This bookstore is a dream. Really beautiful inside with any kind of romance book imaginable. I went in there looking for books to add to my TBR, and I found so many good ones. Such a positive environment. I overheard lots of gushing about Heated Rivalry by the sports section, and I really appreciated seeing the tribute shelf to Sophie Kinsella (our rom-com queen). In addition to the books, they have a really cute card section and various romance-related tchotchkes. There's also a lovely cafe with plentiful seating inside and outdoors. OHMYGOD Boston's first romance bookstore! I can spend hours here. I went there a few weeks after the opening and there was still foot traffic - which is very expected! The space was spacious enough that it wasn't too packed. Once you walk in, you are greeted by all the romance books and cute knick knacks that you won't be able to resist. They also have their tote bag and baseball caps which are very pink and cuteee. The book options are endless; they are sub-genres of romance books. I also appreciated the hand-picked books by the staff and all the personal notes. It makes picking books much easier too. The prices are also standard. They also have ample seating for the boyfriends or if you just want to sit down and read. George Howell coffee is also opening right next door soon so this is just a perfect combo for your next girls day out or just a solo date. -10/10 for the book lover girlies read more

One of my FAVORITE locations to visit in and around Boston. Harvard Square is one of my top locations to visit. Let me just say, I love an excuse to go to Harvard square. If I were rich, I'd definitely live here. Cambridge is beautiful and of course, I'm a huge book lover (and as stated numerous times - a sucker for vibes). In this little romance bookstore, they sell George Howell Coffee and even convert to a cocktail bar in the evenings. George Howell coffee (in my opinion) is such a Boston staple. As far as George Howell Coffee goes, this location is hands down the best location to go. I'm not a giant fan of their stronger coffees, but their basic lattes are perfect and ideal for a bookstore browse. My go-to? A Hot Chocolate. Especially in the winter. There is just something so amazing about sitting on one of their couches with a good book and sipping on a hot chocolate. And did I mention it turns into a drink bar at night? Perfect for a girl's night out. My boyfriend and I have even used this opportunity to go out for date night in Harvard Square after a much-needed sip and browse in the bookstore. As far as the bookstore goes, the staff is beyond helpful and always has the best recommendations. I don't think they have steered me wrong yet. If you are in Boston, I highly recommend taking the T over to Harvard and walking around Cambridge and historical Harvard Square. read more

There is an outdoor seating area, a coffee shop (which becomes a wine bar at night,) tons of books and a lot of other fun things like candles, stickers, hats, etc. the people who work there were kind and the coffee was delicious. There is a ton of variety for the books- I didn't realize there were so many romance sub genres. There are also some general fiction and nonfiction books too for those who aren't into romance! I recently went in for the first time after catching a show at the ART, nearby. Such a cute store, with a wide variety of romance and romance adjacent books. I love how so many genres are broken out - dark romance, sports romance, historical romance, even western romance. I am disappointed that there is not a queer romance section - when I asked I was told that employees can direct you, that "people" didn't want a separate section, and that there is an employee highlights endcap spotlighting queer romance, but I think if cowboys/girls get their own section, we can have a queer romance section, too! One star deducted for that, and it really should be more... We got cocktails and chocolate pie at the coffee shop, both were delicious, and the staff there was so welcoming and helpful! read more

What's great shop! I've never seen a bookstore so crammed (in the best way possible)... months after opening. The energy is great. You can tell the employees and baristas are so proud of this place. The design makes best use of the space, which is surprisingly larger than you would think. Don't forget to sign up for emails and get $10 credit after you spend $200! What a great store!! They have a wonderful selection of both gifts and books, plus a great independent store vibe which is hard to find nowadays in Harvard Square. They have lots more than just romance books, they also have a good selection of general books on the shelves. The staff are warm and welcoming, and there are comfy seats and a little cafe. At the cafe, I was excited to try the George Howell coffee but to me it didn't taste very good, it seemed very acidic. Maybe I don't have a refined enough palette? Or perhaps they need to clean the coffeemaker more, IDK. But regardless the counter staff were also lovely and I want to support any independent store regardless. read more

YESSSSS ITS HERE!!! A store focused on the romance genre. The best genre of all! This store is amazing. Knowledgeable staff wandering around ready to answer questions, lots of answers to my questions about where books were shelved and when books would be coming in, and recommendations that my teenager LOVED. The shelves are organized by type eg contemporary, paranormal, YA, new adult, historical, romantasy, and a cute little section for witchy books. I read A LOT of romance and I found something from nearly ever author I really love. There are just so many books out there and Lovestruck seemed to have at least 1 from each author but definitely not a whole series, for example. That said, just order the book from them and come back. Or, get the book that is there, figure out if you like the author, and make requests from the store or your library for the others. It's enough to get a flavor of all the biggest authors in the industry. Just not likely your fave book will actually be in stock. My teen wanted a book from a popular author that was just released and they were out of stock. Good for them! But, patience butterfly. There's so much in the store beyond books- and even books that aren't romance like nonfiction, poetry, and a kids/middle reader section. Lots of adorable romance themed items are available like mugs and pillows and their bookxtevert sweatshirts are adorable. There are couches and chairs all over if you want to sit and peruse options. And 3 tables set up over where the George Howell shop will open soon. There are multiple all-gender single bathrooms with changing tables and a drinking fountain the back, too. The vibe is amazing and I was thrilled it was so crowded. Loved the staff I chatted with and the free book heart stickers at checkout. Can't wait for a clearance section to get cheaper books but otherwise happy to pay bookstore prices to such a great place. Romance readers unite! We have a spot now! read more
