I have been going there for about a year now getting work from root canals to crown lengthening. The primary dentist is nice and has talked about movies and tv shows when I have had work being done. The biggest complaint is it seems that there is only 1 dentist that works there. I have gone there early to get work done and then another customer will get x-rays or what not and the dentist will leave to go discuss their needs and what not while I am still laying in the chair. I certainly don't want to spend any more time at the dentist that I have to. read more

Such a bad experience as soon as I walked in the receptionist asked me to take a picture of there QR code and make sure I leave a good review before I was even seen . That should have been the first red flag. No complaints about the pediatric dentist who saw my children. This was my first visit with my children on 8/15/23. After the routine assessment, there were a few items that needed to be taken care of outside of the routine work. I was adamant that the insurance estimate be as accurate as possible due to previous billing issues at another dentist's office. After the office manager reviewed the coverages, I was provided with an estimate that i would have to be a little over $300 out of pocket and the insurance would cover the rest. Fast forward to October and I receive a statement from Lovett's billing office stating I owe $613.82 due to the insurance not covering some of the work that was performed due to an "age limitation". I understand there are insurance discrepancies that occur in all medical fields as my wife is a Director of Emergency Services in a very large and well-known hospital system who's insurance was being used. On average I was expecting a variance between $100-$200 if the estimate provided at the dental office was a little off. A discrepancy of almost $1,000.00 is obsurd. I spoke to Lovett's main billing office on 10/24/23and after having them argue with me and not even try to see where I was coming from, I finally gave it one last shot and Cristine from billing was able to send an email to the office manager, Nikki, at the Louetta location to the . Nikki immediately advised me that this was an error on their side and she would "write it off" as an error and my account balance would be 0.00 She asked me to let her know if I received any other statements after the phone call on 10/24/23. I did receive another statement on 10/31/23 and called Nikki back as she asked. She advised me that the person working on this was in the process of handling it and she would give me a call back in a few days. 6 days later, 11/5/23, I receive yet another statement in the amount of $613.82 and still no phone call back from Nikki. I emailed Nikki, Cristine, and Blanca from Lovett on 11/6 and still have not heard back via phone call or email. Sadly, I am afraid they will not due as they promised and report this to the credit bureau. Being $1,000.00 wrong on an insurance estimate is far beyond making a mistake and is looking more suspicous by the day since no one is responding or taking care of this. This is very bad business practice at minimum. At maximum, and I hate to use the 5 letter F word that rhymes with Maud, but it's starting to appear this way. I hope and pray that they do the right thing in this situation. read more

Torture chamber. Dentist made fun of me for wanting to be numbed up for deep cleaning with the water jet tool. I've had this done before and they numbed my whole mouth. It also took about an hour. I have receding gum lines so the pain was excruciating! It also took about 8 mins. So. Not only did they torture means ignore me when I yelled in pain. They also did a crappy job at it. They also told me there was a crack in my tooth so the also drilled that out and filled. Again with no pain management. When he was through. I was ushered to an office where I paid them for this. Then the office manager asked me if I have yelp. I said yes. She asked me how the service was. I lied and said great. I told her I would write a review later. She said no. Let's do it now. So she took my phone and asked me my code and then proceeded to open yelp and type in a glowing recommendation! I was so shocked by it all. Then she gave me my Phone back and said thank you. This place doesn't honor appointment times. During my initial appointment I thought they were just short staffed so I excused it- but I won't for every visit. This appointment was a reschedule on their behalf because they had an emergency. Okay, emergencies happen & are understandable but to be running over a hour late & just sitting /waiting patiently for the second time is just bad business. You expect me to be on time for my appointment, how come Lovett isn't on time over & over again? The last 2 visits I had to wait about an hour, only to receive a rushed cleaning/service. They are horrible the lady Edily is very rude and disrespectful. I had my braces took off from this location and I have been waiting on my retainers for over a year. Every time i call this location she gives me the run around. I have been contacting this location for the past year and I haven't had any success on getting my retainers. I spoke to a lady "GG" early this morning. She stated she would look into it and call me back in two hours. She never called me back. Their excuse is that the office was really busy. If you are an existing patient the 'office manager' seems just fine. My daughter is a first time patient. We sat there for 45 minutes after my appointment time (so, after an hour because we got there early) before I asked how much longer - and everyone else in the lobby had come in after me but bypassed me. The response? "Have you done your paperwork?" I'd been checked in for an hour and she didn't even know whether my paperwork was complete for my appointment that was 45 minutes prior to this conversation??? I had done my paperwork online the week prior. I'd even emailed my insurance card. It took me speaking to a dental hygienist - who was very kind and apologetic - to get me in for my appointment. I'd actually heard other new patients say the same thing. One lady left after waiting over an hour. Also, I just received a notice from a random insurance company that they "have no record of us maintaining insurance there". When I checked everything, it looks like she submit my claim to the wrong insurance company???? How does that even happen? Honestly, the staff were great with my daughter but the receptionist/office manager/front desk lady has no idea what she's doing with new patients it seems like. To have no idea my status after being there for an hour and submitting a claim to the totally wrong insurance??? I'd avoid this place based on that alone. read more

Dr. Vu Tran is beyond unprofessional, he is absolutely inappropriate and disrespectful! My 15 year old daughter had her teeth cleaned today by this man. He proceeded to tell my daughter that the medication they would give her for a future procedure was so strong that one of his patients orgasmed on his chair. He then said that his ex-girl friend was Brazilian and she was the "easiest" woman he has dated. His conversation was offensive and made my daughter feel terribly uncomfortable. This behavior is unacceptable especially when dealing with a young girl. Aside from the horrific conversation he was rough and ended up cutting my daughter's lip. If I could give this location 0 stars I would absolutely horrible experience. Made an appointment almost a month for my 3 children show up and they tell me that they don't do children on Thursdays. I made the appointment specifically for this day because my children have fall break. Candy was helping me and she had a horrible attitude and only made me more upset. When I asked to speak to a manager she told me she was on a conference call even though she was clearly taking to her several times during that "conference call". Candy just wanted to argue back and forth when I asked what we could do to fix the situation meaning a new appointment she kept going back and forth and then got upset when I raised my voice letting her know I wanted a future appointment. Then preceded to tell me they don't have anything for another 2 months out. Not only was she rude but, she would roll her eyes and say things like oh my god which only upset me more. Absolutely unprofessional !!! She told me that someone should have contacted me that they don't do pediatric services on that which no one did but, I did receive multiple emails of confirmations. They seriously need to figure out what's going on with scheduling and how to act more professional. I called to confirm that this office is familiar with treating kids on the spectrum and I was assured they were. The day of my son's appointment he was a little out of it when we walked it but he could handle waiting a bit and I was trying to distract him the entire time. Over 1 1/2 hrs later neither I nor him could take it anymore. I was holding him down because he was getting frustrated and he was stimming at this point. How can you make a 6 year old on the spectrum who is having a difficult time adjusting wait that long? When the dentist finally came in, she wasn't there for more than 5 minutes!!!! She couldn't come in before for her 5 min and sent us on our way? We waited that long for 5 min?!?! That was the worst experience ever and I made sure to notify them he was on the spectrum and had a difficult time. Just because he has a hard time I can't choose to not take him to health visits. They should have had the courtesy to take a look at his X-rays and quickly notified me there was nothing they were going to do this visit and had that brief chat with me and we could've left. I'm 17 but still have to make a review I've been going here since I was 15 and they don't have any mercy on how you feel. They told me they were looking around in my mouth ripped out a tooth that was fully intact with no warning . I got my wisdom teeth out here also and they didn't even put me under and it wasn't even an option, they gave me 2 pills and shots and I was awake the entire time and felt like 20% of what they were doing to me, my body was literally shaking in pain. They also told me I have a root canal and it was just a cavity, they are just looking for money.... Also when you go inside and your appointment is at 9:30 and you get there at 9:30 but there are 4 people in-front of you then you will definitely be waiting for more than like 20 minutes. Do not go to see this dentist. I first came to this office about a year and a half ago where I saw Dr. Tran at Splendid Dental. I was told I needed a root canal. During the procedure, Dr. Tran left me multiple times to see other patients. It took over 4 hours for my root canal and I had to be numbed multiple times. I kept having pain months after the root canal treatment. When I went back, I was told nothing was wrong. I saw an endodontist who had to do a retreatment. This office also refused to send records to my insurance, and without contacting me in ANY way, send my account to collections. I called multiple times and so did my insurance company. All my insurance needed was the dental records but couldn't get anyone from Lovett to send them. A year and a half later I'm still dealing with pain and the effects of this place. read more

I had never had a cavity, so when I started having sensitivity to hot and cold, i figured I should get it looked at. This new dental office opened up down the street so I made an appointment. Not only did I have a cavity, I was told I needed 4 root canals and 4 crowns. Then we sat down to talk pricing. The first quote was $6k. More than my kids orthodontics!! I accidentally bargained my way down to $3300 (who knew dentists prices were like used cars?!) I schedule the 4 root canals and had them done all on the same day. Never having had a cavity, I had no idea you don't have them all done at once - until she told me half way through she's never done this many at one time. Umh, what?! I paid for temporary crowns that they said they put in and was told to schedule my follow up for the crowns. Cue my a/c dying and $2800 in crowns was no longer an option in August. Then they started calling me to leave reviews, offering me discounts if I did. The whole thing started making me very uncomfortable and I opted not to go back. Cue a broken tooth and a dental emergency that brought Me to a new dentist (best dentist EVER!!! Who informed me there was no way I had ever had temporaries. Between not being advised to space out my root canals, tyro g to charge me $6k for crowns, and telling me they did something they didn't, I can say this was one of the worst offices I've been to. I came in here after being assigned Dr. Peter Timm as my HMO provider at the Tomball/Vintage Park area location at 10123 Louetta Rd., Unit 900, Houston, TX 77070, next to Torchy's Tacos. They told me I needed a root canal and crown on one of my top front teeth, and crowns on all 3 other top front teeth. I paid $1,800 out of pocket for the one tooth that day, even though Cindy said I had "great coverage". I did not know how much it should cost. I'd never had a root canal or crown before. I was freaking out over my tooth and went for it. Cindy tried to upsell me veneers for a total of $10,000 out of pocket. I am now reading online that is a sign of a bad dentist. Dr. Timm ground my tooth down to a skinny spike in the front, did the root canal & put the crown on. I questioned in my mind whether this would be structurally sound but assumed he knew what he was doing. He decided out loud that it didn't need a "thread". He did not explain what that meant. Now that the crown has BROKEN OFF with the tooth inside it only 13 months later, I disagree with this decision. The crown was also the wrong color. I took off from work the next day to get my tooth fixed. I called my insurer on the way back to Lovett Dental. They told me that Lovett Dental never filed a claim for the procedure, only for a couple of cleanings. The insurer quoted me closer to HALF of what I paid: Root canal $110-400, Porcelain crown $420-450. So at most $850, not $1,800. And it failed. When I told Lovett Dental I know they did not use my insurance and that I paid a lot more than I should have, they told me at different times that: No, that was THEIR "discounted rates" in line with my plan; the claim may have gotten lost or overlooked because they "didn't expect a reimbursement" [proof they didn't use my insurance rates at all]; and that they could "re-file" the claim my insurance never received. Lovett Dental said my insurer "couldn't" have quoted me the price range that they did, b/c they would have to be using specific codes to get at a price. They are just giving me the runaround, to dispute the range I was quoted vs. the price I paid. Now that my tooth is gone, they are telling me there is nothing to do a partial denture, a bridge or an implant. But they won't do the implant ($$$) unless I spend another $1,250 EACH just to crown the two adjacent teeth. Again, where's the $850?! They can't even look up my plan's rates for the implant. Now I am starting over, b/c I can't believe anything Lovett Dental told me. I'm worse off than I was when I went in there, with one of my front teeth gone now. I can't eat or sleep and am so upset, I can't think of anything else. I don't want to look at people or talk to them. I previously paid $6500 in 1999 for braces and permanent retainers as an adult to improve my smile. I got many compliments on it. If could give this place 0 stars I would, but 1 star will suffice since I genuinely liked the dental hygienist Sabrina and the guy that did my X ray. I got my wisdom teeth pulled, deep cleaning, and they claimed that I have a cavity. I got the procedure done on 6/12/2019 and my tongue is still numb after 3 weeks nor can I open my mouth more than an inch. I've been there several times and all they say is that this is normal, and that i'm still swollen that's why I can't open my mouth. It's definitely not normal. I googled this, and it told me that he may have hit a nerve as he was giving me shots. BUT OFCOURSE he would never admit to it, and would just tell me it's my fault and I must not be taking my medicine in time or eating things I shouldn't be. They were saying that the total for the whole thing would be around $3500, but since I don't have dental insurance they can give me a discount. Overall I ended up paying $1600-- I regret not getting a second opinion. If it's your first time going here MAKE SURE YOU GET A SECOND OPINION. I went to this establishment on 2/28/18. The first bad sign was that I informed they would come in and meet with me to discuss paying for what I needed before even looking at my teeth. This was a routine no-charge six month check up. Needless to say, I was told I needed a deep cleaning and that would set me back $300. I believe this was a bit less than what they were planning after I questioned why they already thought I needed to talk payment plans. The key to the grift here is that if you do not want a deep cleaning, they will not perform a regular cleaning. So you are trapped. Either pay for it or wait six months to go to another dentist. The insurance doesn't care, they won't pay for a deep cleaning anyway. I have had one deep cleaning in the past and they did perform a regular cleaning prior and I came back for the deep cleaning. If you don't want to be railroaded, avoid this place. read more

My three children had their first appointment scheduled for today. I checked them out of school at noon and went for our 1230 appointment. When I arrived I was told to sign in and take a seat. I was later called up and informed their x-ray machine was not working and we would not be able to be seen without x-rays. They said an x-ray repair man had been called but was late and showing up. I was told that I would have to wait for more than an hour. The office staff obviously knew that we would not be able to be seen but neglected to call and inform me of this before I wasted my afternoon running around getting my kids out of school and my children wasted valuable school time. Every time I visited this office, they needed multiple X-rays before working on my teeth. Normally, I would of welcomed that, however, 3 visits within 3 months did not warrant this many X-rays. I went in for a root canal. Before they even started any work on my mouth, my insurance co received $600 in fees just for X-rays. In addition, the doctor that I saw was extremely rude and it was not only apparent to me but it seemed she had a lack of team work her team members, no one really wanted to assist her while I was there. This office is all about the almighty dollar and less about the patient. I did take my business to another dental office where the office staff really cared about my comfort and resolved my issues in one day. Lastly, the fees that Lovett wanted to charge me for the root canal was $650 more than what I actually paid at the dental office I changed too. Thanks Lovett for driving up my insurance company's maximum allowable annual fees leaving me with only $950 left in my dental plan for the rest of this calendar year! I am only giving one star for this review and that was for the location and the really nice young man that prepped me for service that day, service the doctor failed to deliver! read more

Lovett locations only wants to do a regular cleaning if you pay out of pocket for something like fluoride. Jen was great. Hispanic billing woman caused the most issues, wanted me to sign a form accepting a bill thousands of dollars before letting me check with my Insurance to see if they would cover it. Worst dental experience in my life. I came in for a root canal and the dentist said I need crowns but nothing was wrong with any of my other teeth but that. He end up doing the procedure that he said would take 2 hrs and it end up taking 5 long hrs. In which he had to renumb me. After it was all over in end up going to another dentist because he never addressed the fillings that I needed. It wasn't until I went to the new dentist that i found out that cement was left under my gums. Keep in mind I was stitched and the stitches had healed already. I decided to have a second opinion and just as I thought Lovett Dental is a money hungry scam! The 2nd dentist i went to redid the x-rays and said all i needed was to have the wisdom tooth pulled and have 1 cavity filled for a total of $355!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone. I do not like writing bad reviews, but it is important as consumers to hold businesses accountable. This place is unethical and unprofessional. I went in with a coupon for a basic 6 month cleaning in which they told me, I had multiple cavities and needed a deep cleaning to prevent further bone less. I have always been told by prior dentists that my teeth and gums were healthy so this came as a complete shock. They made it seem as though my case was severe, which scared me and now I wish I would have just walked out of there. Supposedly, they continued with a deep cleaning which only took 1 hour, and they didn't even polish my teeth or do any of the regular procedures I was used to. Then they charged me a ridiculous amount of money....over $700 dollars for a 1 hour service. I felt so bad after this appt, I researched and called other dentists in the area, which reaffirmed my belief I had been overcharged and under served as this extensive kind of deep cleaning should have taken 2 appts at 2 hours each. I called the business to express my concerns and was told I could come in for a 3 month follow up cleaning at no charge and any further follow up cleanings would be capped at a lower rate. Well, when I tried to utilize the follow up cleaning, they told me there was no record of that in the system. I asked for the financial coordinator to call me back and have not heard from them since. I am appalled and shocked at such poor ethics. My friends have recommended their dentists who they feel possess more ethics and competency. Needless to say, I will not return. read more

Dr. Carvounis did a great job on my crown work and breaking down both risks and benefits of my dental procedure today. Dr. Feimster is exceptional at communicating with her patients. She even follows up with your care up to a week after your appointment. Mary Ann is very professional and made me feel like I was valued as a patient. Front staff are very prompt and friendly.
