There have been oftentimes classrooms are over ratio to state guidelines. When it comes to communication among teachers, it's not quite there. It has become common to hear "I don't know" when asking a question in regards to my child's day. There have been times I have seen teachers not paying attention to kids whether it's taking over the fence while kids are on the playground and their back is turned to them or being on their phone. There was a time I came to drop off diapers and all the teachers were just sitting in chairs. Not one single of the new teachers and assistant director ever bothered to introduce themselves and I can guarantee don't know my name as a parent. Incident reports no longer go home. My child got hit and had a bloody nose and no one bothered to call or send home an incident report but rather just updated in the app. After having a sit-down, the owner and assistant director were not very welcoming in bringing up concerns so not all concerns were brought up. It's very much a "can do no wrong attitude" even when my daughter came home with fingerprint marks on her leg that looked like it had been from holding too tight during diaper changes. Upon leaving, I could overhear them gossiping about me as a parent when they thought the door was shut. It's not the first time though that concerns got brushed under the rug. Sasha has been the only asset to this company and we have appreciated all that she has done. I have attached pictures of the fingerprints, the bite mark from when my daughter came home with (I had to tell them it looked like a bite mark for them to even look at the cameras because they weren't watching and didn't see it happen), a teacher on her phone, as well as the threats. *Since posting our review on google I have received quite the message about being sued for posting our experience which should indicate how well parental feedback is taken.

I completed a tour and was impressed with cleanliness of the facility. I was told at the time that there was only one slot available and to secure it I was to pay the $75 application fee. I went home right away and paid. This was back in December of 2021.I received an email stating my kiddo was approved. I was so excited for her to start. Well today is January 27th and my emails have been ignored. My calls not returned by Sarah, the Director. But of course somehow they were able to getting around to charging me $560 for services never received. My little one has never stepped foot in their facility. My apologies for the lengthy review but I just had make it known that I would never recommend a company who takes care of children and feels it is professional to take someone's money then them more money for services not rendered.

As he has gotten older, the staff has nurtured and fostered his curiosity and learning...everything from music to gross motor to early reading and math! As a elementary school principal, I have pretty high standards about learning and about leadership. I REALLY like Brandi and Joy as a leadership team...again, open, honest, welcoming, wanting feedback,etc. I knew it was the right place when I had my tour 6 years ago. This school offers just about everything you need for children with special needs. It is run by the Portage County MRDD and always has wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable staff! The building itself has always been clean and neat. They have a large gym, little gym for toddlers, a pool and an enclosed courtyard for exploring. A large private lot offers a ton of parking and a very good security system that keeps the children safe!

As someone who went to the Goddard school for years if this is something you are looking for...just go down the street. The teachers have little to zero desire to be there and it is obvious. My son would come home saying he heard cussing by them all day and being told countless time that they cant wait until the kids leave. They have zero control over the environment and have a lot of throwing of toys and other objects. There was an incident of inappropriate behavior that was never properly addressed or handled. They tend to ignore any issues and just agree that it isn't ok.... yeah we know. I had advised them that we will be leaving due to all of this and the teachers inappropriate behavior. The next day I was charge for the next month a week and a half early. Overall, this is by far the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had with child care. Completely unprofessional environment. I am still in shock with the things my son would come home and tell me he overhead or was told from the "teachers" There is not an ounce of this place I would recommend.

Whether you are in the front office area, in the classrooms, or even chatting in the main play area with another family or the teachers, you are greeted with smiling faces and laughter. The staff truly love the children like their own, and their goal each and every day is to make sure that the children are in a safe, fun learning environment. The academic curriculum surpasses all others. I love that my children are able to learn how to read, write, speak Spanish and French, but also learn about respecting others and cooperation outside the home. Many of the teachers who were there when my now five-year-old started as a baby are still there now taking care of my three-year-old. They did a great job keeping everyone safe during the pandemic and managed to close for only two and a half months. It has all the convenience of a corporate daycare center, but has a tight-knit family vibe, which is nice. Probably the biggest con is that they don't provide lunch, so we have to pack their lunches every day. They do provide breakfast and an afternoon snack, though. You can tell the teachers genuinely love and care for the kids. My daughter had some behavioral issues when she was three, and they were so patient with her and worked with her and us to get her through it, which I really appreciate. My daughter will be going there a few days a week this summer, and they have fun field trips planned three days a week for the school-aged kids. Next year will be my son's last year there full-time, and I'm genuinely bummed about it!

Neglectful and borderline dangerous…read more Our toddler daughter was recently pulled after a series of repeating incidents over about 2 months. She returned home with severe bite marks 4 times, without being informed or any formal reports being issued. I needed to speak in person with the director to insist that the bites were properly documented and reported. She fell from the top of a table and hit the back of her head. Our daughter regularly comes home with severe diaper rash, the final straw being severe rash on both legs (and other areas) that took almost 2 weeks to heal! She was walking with a waddle when I picked her up and her clothes were covered with and smelled liked feces. Checking the tracking app suggested she did not receive a diaper change for the last 6 hours of her day. Compared to our time at home, the teachers are clearly lying on the app with "dry diaper checked" instead of changing a dirty diaper. If an investigation was done I would not be surprised if they are failing to meet the state mandated number of diaper changes. I'm not sure what the excuse was, but there is apparent high turnover and inconsistent caretaking. With the exception of only one teacher that we were aware of, the teachers might as well not been watching the students. Stay away, there are other, safer, options in the area. When we finally pulled her from this facility, after a verbal conversation with the director, she acted "horrified" and promised we would not be charged for the next month. Well, like the lies in the app updates, she lied about this one too. I only wish we could have trusted our daughter's meltdowns earlier during 100% of the dropoffs in the toddler room (after acclimating to the prior room). She clearly was trying to communicate the neglect but was unable to. Any parent's nightmare.

However, soon after, I received an email claiming that my email was rude? (see attached emails of our correspondence). As a result, he asked us to find another school and kept our $200 deposit for our daughter. We were loyal customers to this school for two years. This meant nothing, it seems. We understand the policy had changed for holding our daughter's place here; however, the way the owner communicated this change was lacking and unprofessional.

There are also activities for the family, such as Trick or Treat night, the Harvest luncheon, and Pre-K graduation. My nephew is now in kindergarten elsewhere, but my niece is still there in Pre-K. We will all miss the Goddard "family" once she graduates!
