Just for your info, if you're not ready to spend the money, then you are not prepared to explore this wondrous vegan restaurant away from time itself. This place is absolutely serene from the artwork to the chairs and lighting. The ambiance is so grounding and the jazz music over head is so soothing. I would highly recommend for the person who opts for a little more on their plate, the Nachos. They are a heavenly organic, seasoned, and taste like actual nachos without the dreaded feeling like you need a nap. It comes with a healthy helping of fresh avocado and complimenting vegetables that make you forget all about the fact that it's 100% organic and vegan. The sea moss smoothie is also a must when you dine in this establishment but do not be scared away by the price tag. It is by far, the best organic smoothie I have ever tasted and I would say is a must whenever you come. Took my spouse to this restaurant while on a business trip. Had a very nice experience and we both marveled at the care and detailed meal prep and execution. My kale salad was very tasty and I usually don't like spinach salad but his was good too. The sage burger was off the chain good, filling, tasty and visually beautiful. Yes, yes, yes. Lov'n It Live. My first visit was for lunch on Valentines day. We were the first guests of the day, so I expected lots of attention. We were instructed to sit where we wanted and received water shortly thereafter. We browsed the menu and I was happy to see that there were more than a few items that appealed to my non-vegetarian boyfriend. I was also indecisive. Surprising we received a small plate of plantain chips while we waited. They were delicious. For appetizer, I went with the asparagus soup. It was a delightful, hearty portion that I ended up taking to go. I wanted to save room for my entree. I decided on the full size Sage burger with kale salad. The Kamut bread caught me of guard but I enjoyed it as much as the kale salad. I ate that within minutes. It was very well seasoned and fresh. Both lived up to their reputation. He had the Mushroom steak with kale salad. Although he never said he liked it, I could tell because 1. He didn't offer me any and 2. He said very little after receiving it. A clean plate is a sure sign of a good meal. There is a bit of a wait time but not surprising as they mention that before ordering due to everything being made to order. As more patrons piled in, the attentive service declined. Thankfully we were done and only had to wait a few minutes for the check. We wanted to order the plantain chips to go but didn't want to wait any longer. Overall, The experience is more like a 4.5 star with the food being a solid 5 star, as it was amazing. So much so we placed an order to go the following week. And at my boyfriends request mind you. He stuck with the Mushroom Steak and Kale salad while I had the life changing Lasagna. It's what dreams are made of, I woke in the middle of the night craving more. I'm so glad we found another great vegan spot close to home that we both enjoy. When it comes to completely raw restaurants in Atlanta- the choices are few and far between. Many places have raw food options, but Loving it Live's complete menu consists of raw delicacies. Do not be mistaken, we are not talking carrot sticks and cucumber slices here. The dishes are creative, beautifully prepared and filling. I had dinner here on a Saturday night and started with stuffed avocados. Wow! They were SO good. The restaurant uses a lot of nut meats - which they blend with other ingredients to create a really filling, flavorful combinations. For the main course I ordered the nut loaf which was served with a divine kale salad. This is just good food, people! Healthy, fresh, non-processed good food. I was too full for dessert but they had some really good looking options. I will have to save room next time. There are two things to note if you are planning to dine here. First, the food is made to order and you will have to wait at least 20 minutes to get your meal. Second, the prices are higher than one might expect. This is one of those places that you stumble across and thank your lucky stars for it. Lovin' It is off the beaten path, but when Yelp listed it as the nearest vegan restaurant we headed straight there. The restaurant was all but empty when we walked in - just one hostess / waitress was in sight, and zero other customers. After our meal experience it's hard to believe this place isn't packed all the time! Our waitress was very sweet and her demeanor amplified the experience. We ordered the raw lasagna and mushroom steaks, which were both delicious. The lasagna was my favorite, and came served as layers of thinly sliced zucchini, nut meats, other veggies, and topped with nut "cheese." The mushroom steak was good, but the lasagna stole the show. I love love raw food, but I am way to lazy to make it myself (other than the basic smoothie or salad). When I found that there was a raw food restaurant 1/2 a mile away from the office I was stationed out of, I made a beeline there for lunch. Everything was so delicious, but I have to say it's the taco salad that I am still thinking about a week later. It's all made to order stuff, so it's not super quick, but I will tell you that I had time to drive over there, order food, pick it up, get back to the office and finish my lunch in just under an hour. I had a 3 hr layover at Hartsfield Atlanta airport. Hopped on the MARTA to give this place a try because it was close and I've been eating plant-based, nonhybrid foods. 45 minutes later, still no one showed. A woman meeting friends waited, then left. Two guys showed up waiting as well. If you treat customers this way with how you (dis)respect their time, how can you have the same respect about what you're making for them to eat? Doubtful. This place was (& still is) part of the draw of Atlanta for me. Finding high quality, clean, organic raw food can often be a great challenge when dining out, so usually I opt out to simply prepare my own in home & hotel kitchens (I work as a personal chef and travel with my own equipment). However, this place had caught my attention with beautiful images of their fare via Instagram long before I ever found an opportunity to visit Atlanta, so it ended up on my "to do" list. Not only were they in alignment with my own personal way of doing things, but they were incredibly forthright and accommodating when I told them about my preferences and food sensitivity issues. The food presented to me was beautiful, fresh, absolutely delicious, and I consider this establishment to be one that sets a high bar of standards to which I have since compared many others. They are a little pricey but we love to support the conscious black community so we order about 4 entrees. The order was placed at 2:41. The food was delayed and delayed and delayed in increments of 5 more minutes. 7 more minutes. 10 more minutes. Long enough to see ppl come in, order food, dine, and leave and STILL no food. The food finally comes out at 4:21! FOUR TWENTY ONE. 2 hrs later. And not to be comical but keep in mind THIS FOOD IS RAW! IT'S NOT EVEN COOKED. They didn't offer a discount or anything. I asked could we get something and the girl said 10%. I have to be at work 30 min AGO and u offer to remove the sales tax after I sat there for 2 hrs. I had the kale salad which was delish as an appetizer. Then my main course meal was cabbage tacos! Different for my taste buds to say the least. Inside the cabbage leaf (as my taco shell) was almond meat, avocados, tomatoes, and onions. It's probably the healthiest meal I've had all year! Lol. And for dessert I had sweet potato pie! Sweetened with dates and the shell of the sweet potato pie was made with crushed pecans. Try it out for yourself and see how you feel about it. I would've given this place five stars because the food is so good except..... Don't even THINK of going here if you're a person of light skin color on one of their speakers' nights. My friend and I made this mistake, and we had to listen to some angry speakers shouting about how AIDS was started by white, gay people to kill off the black race, how Michael Vick wouldn't have been prosecuted had he eaten the evidence (the dogs) instead of just killing them. (Huh? What?) Add to this the dirty looks we (my asian companion and I) were getting from every other person in the room, and it made for a really unpleasant dining experience. Again, the food is yummy, but the atmosphere is nothing short of hostile and alienating, to put it mildly. Much like I did. I did the sampler platter and added the Lasagna. Really enjoyed everything. We sampled: Battered Bellas, Collard Rolls, stuffed avocados, and nachos. The taste was on point. My only complaint is that they didn't have any sour cream. Apparently they had never heard of making cashew based sour cream. hopefully they add it to the menu.
