MUSHROOM ASADA (SF, GF) BAJA FISH
    Brionna R.

Great service and great food. I would not get the mushroom asada taco again simply because it was drenched in some liquid that made the texture odd. The 'fish' taco was incredible and the chip and guacamole was great! Although the peach chimichanga was tasty, the peach to tortilla ration was little much for me. Although I did not get photos of the restaurant, it was beautiful!! I went to the new North Druid Hills spot and the amount of natural lighting was refreshing and the music was great.

Very cute space! Not that much seating but if it's just you an another person it's perfect. The fish tacos were amazing and was really what boosted the review alongside the mangonada. The nachos were pretty mid. When food is just veggies it's important the flavor is there and honestly it just wasn't there. The peach chimichanga also was bland and needed more brown sugar or cinnamon. We also tried the "queso" which wasn't close to queso at all it was closer to a gravy in flavor and texture. It wasn't terrible but definitely wasn't queso. Overall would definitely got back for the tacos and mangonada.

Black-Owned Business My Niece put me on Chi Chi & she will always be my favorite Niece for that...the BEST Street Tacos I have tried. I brought my Brother who's an avid Taco (meat) eater to share in my first experience here. We both were overly satisfied with not just the Vegan aspect, yet the culinary creativity each Taco possesses. Other menu items include Nachos, Chimichangas & Quesadillas. We got two of every Taco: Al Pastor Pineapple, Baja Fish, Carne Asada & Crispy Avocado...with the Baja Fish & Al Pastor being my favorite two. To my surprise, a former 300lb All-Pro Offensive Tackle could & would not stop raving about how the texture & taste was on point. & we know Street Tacos due to our West Coast upbringing. Six Tacos, Chips/Guac/Salsa, bottled water/Jarrito's & a Mango Sorbet was $60...I'm still eating my leftovers. This charming, quaint, natural light & plants filled environment is relaxing & refreshing. The sole Unisex Restroom is extremely tidy as with the entire eatery, the C-19 precautions are still present. They offer a Rewards Program & community events such as their upcoming Brunch in the Park (ing) Lot, an interactive plant-based event offering free Food, Drink, Swag, Games & live Music...sold out. Parking is available on the street with a few spaces in the back & a mini sidewalk patio with a table & a couple of stools. Customer Service is 100%, the food is worth every penny & most enjoyable in trying a new place with the ones you love. Mercedes your customer service was simply phenomenal.

Carne asada, chik'n, and black bean tacos! *chef's kiss*

A friend of mine suggested we try here. We both got 3 tacos a piece. I had the Carne asada, chik'n, and black bean tacos. All flavorful. I'm not even Vegan but it was definitely something I'd partake of again! I only wish parking was a little better. They have a small tight lot and some street parking. I'd still come back

Cute little taco spot!! I stumbled upon this and I am so glad I did. So many options and friendly service. The prices are reasonable for what it is and everything is perfectly prepared and definitely worth it! I had the chimichanga with vegan steak and was satisfied. A tad on the salty side (the "meat") but so delicious! I can't wait to go back and share this experience with a friend

The food and the ambiance are top tier. I wish more people would try this spot out. The tacos are a little expensive they could be a dollar cheaper but it's all very good. I would recommend the carne asada tacos or quesadillas the corn and a beverage.

Chi Chi Vegan never disappoints me! Their mushrooms asada taco is my favorite thing on the menu. It is bursting with flavor and texture. The service is always good too, especially considering that it is mostly self-serve. The ambiance is comforting even though the place is small. They are a must try!

Pollo n pineapple , Falafel Taco , Fried Green Tomato

This taco place was greaaaaaaaaat I ordered 3 tacos ( Pollo and Pineapple, Falafel Taco , and the Fried Green Tomato taco ) and they all had their unique twist and flavor. My favorite would be what the waitress had recommended which was the falafel.. Um Um GOOD. I also ordered the Mango Sorbet which was sweet with a hint of spice but it really worked and tasted great. Great place.

Chimichanga, pico and vegan cheese sauce
    Danni H.

I ordered the chimichanga and my friend ordered the nachos (to go). The chimichanga was very bland, no flavoring/seasoning. There wasn't any fajitas filling, no veggies, it was just rice and beans without any flavor. The pico was not my preference, it was very chunky without flavor again and the did not provide enough for the huge portion. Cheese sauce was probably the best thing about this order. The nachos were better than the chimi but not the best imo. I will give this place one more shot with ordering their tacos instead. Quick note: they no longer sell topo chico or Jarritos sodas.

My partner took me to this spot this past Saturday. The establishment was small but intimate. Upon walking in, we ordered our food on the flat screens. Our order was placed as to go order but as we sat down , we had the opportunity to speak with others who were dinning in. My food was excellent. It was sooooo delicious and was everything that I needed. I'm not from Atlanta but when I return this will be my go to spot. Can't wait to try more on their menu. Please stop by and try a taco. Even if your not vegan you would enjoy.

I wanted to love this spot so bad. I try my best to support everything Vegan in ATL, but this place is dropping the ball in so many areas! First of all it is waaay overpriced for what you get. Spent around $45 for 2 and still left hungry. I ordered 2 Pastor Chickn Tacos, the Chimichanga and some chips and guac. The guac was actually amazing, but its $6 for a tiny container of it w/ chips. Their meat substitutes are soy based which i am not a fan of at all. The Chickn tasted artificial and there was barely any in the Taco. The Taco shell itself was really good though but after eating a $5 Taco I was higly disappointed with it's size and what was in it. The $16 Chimichanga is the straw that finally broke the camels back. It was just a shell fried with about 70% rice, 25% beans, and 5% veggies With some vegan "cheese sauce" on top. The sauce tasted nothing like cheese but it was actually good. SIXTEEN DOLLARS for a fried shell with rice and beans and no meat? Its an additional $3 to add the soy meat. It makes no sense why everything is so expensive. You can go to a Mexican restaurant and get the same exact food, minus the soy meat and cheese sauce, for way less. Customer service was good, the chef (dont think he knew he was doing it) was staring everyone down (including us) as they were walking in. That's a little awkward but again it was probably innocent. I will maybe give it a try again if some things are adjusted but I have absolutely no desire to eat there again. As I wrote earlier, I really wanted to love this place. However.... To be fair When I went to the coffee shop next door to get a snack after being still hungry, the lady gave rave reviews about that place. Maybe it's different strokes for different folks. If you don't mind the ridiculous prices, Give it a shot and see if you like it.

Good vegan bites. Good place for vegan food. It wasn't great but I would definitely return. I ordered quite a bit of food and enjoyed them all. Their house salsa complimented the dishes well. The only reason they do not have 5-stars is because: 1. I think the pineapples should be diced smaller so you can appreciate their flavor more and make it easier to eat them and 2. Their drinks options are super high in sugar except the water. If they could add healthier drink options that would be great! *pics included

Chi Chi Vegan Taco Shop is so cute! I grabbed brunch with a friend this Saturday at Chi Chi and had a great experience! The interior of Chi Chi is adorable and (as a meat eater) I was really satisfied with my meal. I ordered the chorizo tacos and the waffle. The tacos had a great flavor and the ingredients used were fresh and appetizing. The waffle was delicious and very cinnamon-y - perfectly sweet. I do wish my waffle was a little crispier but the flavor made up for it. My friend got the Mexican hot chocolate which was bomb as well. I would recommend Chi Chi to ALL my friends (meat eaters included). I can't wait until my next visit! Chi Chi serves brunch from 9-12 am every Saturday.

I had the chicken and beef birria tacos with consommé, cilantro rice, and black beans. My partner went with the steak and al pastor tacos, Mexican rice, and refried beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, they definitely don't skimp on the fillings. The margarita flight was also a fun choice and a great way to try different flavors. We noticed they also serve huge shareable cocktails and oversized shots that looked like a blast for groups. The atmosphere is lively, especially later in the evening, with a younger crowd and a fun, energetic vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends. The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way happened right after we were seated. Chips and queso were brought to the table, and we naturally assumed they were complimentary, similar to chips or bread at many other restaurants. After we had already started eating them, our server came back and took them away because they weren't included. Our waitress was otherwise friendly and provided good service, but that initial interaction felt a little awkward. A quick heads-up when placing them on the table would have avoided the confusion entirely. Overall, the food, drinks, portions, and atmosphere were excellent, and that small misunderstanding wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise fantastic experience. We'd definitely come back the next time we're craving tacos and margaritas.

It was a little pricey at $14 for 3 small-ish tacos, but each taco was packed with meat. I also got a taco de la abuela with pastor meat. For their street tacos, they have normal street tacos for $3.25, or for $0.25 more you can get the same taco with a handmade tortilla (aka taco de la abuela). I didn't try a normal taco, so not sure if there's a notable difference in the tortilla, but I thought the pastor taco was solid as well. I felt like perhaps it was lacking a little in flavor? But I do appreciate the amount of meat that's given. The slices of pineapple are nice as well - very authentic. Throughout my dining experience, most customers were picking up/taking orders to go. The restaurant is kept clean and there's a serve yourself salsa bar. I'm glad that I've found a good taco spot nearby! Parking is a bit limited as the lot is small and is shared with other small restaurants as well.

Halal tacos in a small store in a gas station - how can you get more authentic than that?…read more The meats served here are all halal, which is great! I got the beef Birria, steak Birria, and barbacoa tacos. The consommé itself was a little watery and tomato-y, but the tacos themselves were of decent quality and flavor. The beef Birria was better IMO than the steak, which was a little chewier. The barbacoa was definitely hands down my favorite - out of them it was the most flavorful and tender. The salsas they gave on the side were good too - spicy, tangy. The seating in the store is very limited (only a few tables, not well spaced out), large groups would be hard to accommodate.

I believe the meats here are halal. The crust of both the taco and quesadilla were crispy and had a nice cheese crunch. But trying other birria spots, these were okay. Good but nothing that would wow. The consome dip was actually pretty watered down. I know places make them differently as I've had versions with meat bits in them and another with rice. But their version was just watered down. The shrimp ratio was pretty sad. The beef is actually more bang for your buck. Though I didn't truly count the shrimps, there were about 3 or 4 of those baby shrimps. They didn't look nor tasted like they were doused in flavor. The shrimp was just so so. Sort of bland in taste imo. The beef had a nice kick of flavor. There was a good amount of beef to my surprise. Another friend's beef taco version looked like it was stuffed with meat as well. There was just ample seasoning and flavor with the beef. Psst. If you're thinking x3 tacos vs x1 whole quesadilla, go with the quesadilla. You're sort of getting another piece since the quesadilla is cut into four quadrants versus just 3 tacos. Though it's a different form on presentation, you're going to be getting more for the same exact price.
