Dr Vitta was very thorough, addressing some eye health concerns I had and putting me at ease. I followed up with a purchase of frames and lenses, working with Ms Colette Mack. She was patient with me while I tried on nearly every frame they had, helping me find just the right glasses. I was equally impressed with her when I picked my glasses up. This is the most accurate prescription I've had in years! I can see so clearly now! Needed to get my eyes checked and I knew I needed new glasses. I always thought they were super expensive but the service and staff was top notch from the start. It was my initial mindset to go in and get the exam, and scram with a copy of my prescription. The professional young lady "Stacy" was very nice and was doing her best to get me to look at the frames. ( I'm focused, I will not). Well Beverly the office manager stepped in and convinced me to look at the glasses that my insurance covers. I tried to resist. I gave two stars instead of one because Dr Pitcavage honestly attempted to help rectify my issue. I wanted two pairs of glasses that I could alternate daily. I ended up with one strictly for computer and one that is progressive. After several visits thinking I would get the correct lenses, I'm back at at square one. All of this is the result of someone upselling frames. I am simple and simply wanted to be able to alternate frames as I wished. Now I'm stuck with expensive frames and useless lenses! read more

Eye care is not something that I mess around with, so when I needed to get new frames and my eyes checked, I looked straight to Yelp and my fellow Elite's for assistance. Ryan H had such a good review of LCEC that I had to try them out, and I'm glad that I did. My appointment was scheduled ahead of time, and when I arrived, my wait time was only minutes, because I downloaded their documents from the website and had it ready before I arrived (hint, they appreciate this). The exam was comfortable and quite easy. They operate with the most up to date technology, which is always convenient when they don't have to dilate your eyes. My new frames were ordered and I got the call a week later that they had arrived and were ready for pick up. Their frame selection isn't as large as some of those other chain places in town, but honestly, I get confused when I have too many choices, so thank you for the assistance and patience with me when it came to picking out new frames. My exam was quick and easy with all of the latest technology available for checking the health of my eyes. They gave me as much time as I needed in the showroom to find my frames. They're happy to help you or let you look on your own. They offer to get additional colors in any frame that you are interested in. Even though the showroom is not as large as some I've been in, they regularly update their frame offerings. (They were shelving new frames during my exam and then had an entire section of new frames available when I picked up my glasses. Overall, I was very impressed with the service and found glasses and sunglasses that I like even with the limitation of my wide-bridged nose. They also offer a wide variety of a la carte options for your lens, special coatings, beveled and buffed edges, and thinner lenses for those who are interested. I wanted to support a local West Ashley business and from start to finish these folks didn't disappoint. read more

Joe Pitcavage is the man! I have gotten my last 3 pairs of glasses there and will go again. I was there recently for a drop-in of clients and it was one of the best events I have been to. They had a food truck there with New Orleans spread like shrimp poppers and some Cajun sauce and mufaleto(spelling) sandwiches. Beer and wine was available and they even had a raffle where I won some cologne. Lots to do for the kids and adults. I recently had to replace my glasses because I am just not good with them when on the water. I love the new glasses and hope to keep them for a while but if the inevitable happens I know where to go for the next pair!
