I was very pleased with the optometrist and her assistant. They were both fun and supportive. Afterwards they walked me to buy my glasses and I was shocked at the extra costs for the progressive lenses and $75 per lens for anti glare coating. Prior to going I called Medicare and they said the cost of the frames and the lenses were covered in my plan. Ultimately it cost me $300 for my free glasses!! I'm going to try online next time after I get my prescription. read more

The women at Pearl Vision were extremely knowledgeable, clear in their explanation of the problem, fixed them immediately (they feel better than before they broke in the first place), and did it all with kindness and smiles, and at no charge. I've bought glasses and contacts here in the past and was looking for a new eye doctor after moving a good distance from the one I was seeing. The online booking doesn't work and they won't return my calls/voicemails for an appointment. Emailed customer service and they said it was my computers fault and didn't help resolve the issues at all. I will be looking for a different eye doctor. There's plenty of options and having awful customer service isn't a way to ensure customers will come back. People need glasses it's not that difficult to answer a phone but I guess they want someone else to make money instead. read more

I made an appointment online, then found out that I couldn't make it on that day due to work obligations. I tried calling numerous times to reschedule for another date, but they simply do not answer their phone. I called more than a dozen times and could never get ahold of a human to reschedule. Apparently this practice is busy enough that they don't need new clients. So, if you see this, Pearle Vision, you may cancel my appt for August 5th. I tried to tell you, but your concern for your potential patients is pretty much non-existent, so I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Dr. Donovan and the staff at Pearle Vision are true professionals. This was my first visit. I had an eye exam and bought new frames. They young lady who helped me find my frames was very helpful in not letting me purchase frames that didn't complement my face. Everyone there very kind and gave great customer service. read more

My mother was visiting from out of state when a lens from her glasses popped out of the frame. In desperation I took her here expecting to get turned away or something because she wasn't a patient there. Not only did they fix her glasses they cleaned them up and it was less than 20 minutes. I can't say enough good things about this location. Ask for Lisa! She is super helpful and took the time to help me find glasses that fit my face correctly and were aesthetically pleasing. Contrary to other reviews I read, Lisa is not about selling the most expensive glasses, frames in general cost a lot but Lisa tries to be very forward about costs and ways to keep the costs controlled. On 4/14/2018 I visited this Pearle Vision location for an eye examination and paid to have new lenses create to be fitted into my glasses. I never received a call or email that this work had been completed. I asked my girlfriend to stop by their office on August 29, 2018 to pick up the order (assuming that in 4 months' time the work will surely have been completed). I received a call from my girlfriend telling me that they had already given my glasses to someone (someone?). They would not provide information about who took them or when and refused to provide any other helpful information. I figured that they wouldn't want to provide any additional information because it wasn't actually me asking the questions. I called the same day (8/29/18) to ask about my glass. I did not get a lot of information and was told that they would have to do some research and that I would receive a call the next day. That would have been 8/30/18 and I never received a call. I also do not understand how someone else could have picked up my prescription glasses because I only order the glass and it would have to be fitted into the frames that are currently sitting on my nose. I think it is fair to assume that I will continue to get the runaround. Update: Pearle Vision eventually mailed me my glasses (I had moved since my first visit and now). a) paid for the work (never received a call/email that the work had been completed) b) I had to follow up with Pearle Vision and they made false promises (Pearle Vision neglected to call me when they said they would...even after I had to point out to them that they never delivered on what I had paid for) c) I never received an apology from the management team. i can't say enough good things about the folks at Pearle Vision on Sam Rittenberg. Lisa did an amazing job of helping me select new comfortable and fresh looking frames. She noticed a discrepancy between the new prescription vs. the one from a year earlier and pointed it out. It turned out that I'd received the wrong prescription from a non-Perle optometrist. Dr.Donavan at Perle did a fabulous eye exam to get a correct prescription and my resulting new glasses are just great! In addition Lisa worked to maximize my insurance benefits and straightened some sunglass frames that a friend's child had sat on. They definitely have me as a continuous customer! read more

The nose pad for my glasses had fallen out and I was unable to find replacement pads at the usual places (CVS, Walmart, etc). I saw Pearle Vision and decided to stop in and see if they could help me. As it turned out the were very kind and extremely professional. They replaced the pad and would not let me pay for it. It is very rare to find a place of business that is willing to help you without reward. I little while back, I took a new prescription to them from another eye care shop for my regular glasses. They checked and said it was not enough different to be noticeable and saved me the cost of the new progressive lenses. I recently took sun glasses in for new lenses with the new prescription. They had them ready several days earlier than they had promised. These folks are exceptional. I will never go anywhere else. read more

I had new Transition lenses made for my Ray Bans. I chose Extractive which stay dark in a vehicle ($150) but only in dk grey, my orig were brown. I paid in full bf leaving shop. Got home, decided i wanted to stick with brown (vanity, y'know) and called the shop. No prob, and we will make the $ adjustment when you pick up your glasses. Well, another salesperson (manager) used some shell game showing me the order and said there was no difference in price, so no refund for the difference in $ of the more expensive lens. Once they got your money, you are not getting it back. BTW, i was self-pay, no insurance. Go to Target, their price was the same. read more

Dr. Donovan was very thorough and welcoming and the girls up front were very helpful- they were even able to make my daughter's glasses in about 30 minutes during the same visit...what an unexpected surprise! Yesterday, noonish, my opthamologist's office faxed my new script to Gene Gebbard at Pearle Vision's Sam Rittenberg location. In less than 24 hours, Gene called to say that he sent the script to the lab he uses in Syracuse, NY, and already had my lens in hand. We took my frames to him and in less than an hour, he had them perfectly adjusted for me. He sets the gold standard for optometry. We've been a customer for several years and Gene always outdoes himself. I would never go to anyone else. read more

The very friendly staff at this location were able to use my prescription from my Pearle Vision doctor in New York to provide me with some samples to make it through the weekend.
