Also, the inside doorway panel was not installed back appropriately. This leak was causing my car electrical problems because water was getting under the dashboard and getting the fuses and cables. I called the business and a nice lady was understanding and set up an appointment for me to bring in the car to get it checked out. I show up early in the morning and the guy right off the bat was defensive, but agreed to check my windshield since it had been less than a year since the windshield was replaced. This guy took a hose and started spraying the windshield, but didn't install the door seal correctly so a lot of water made its way inside the car. At this point I'm not able to tell where the windshield is leaking because there's water inside everywhere. I leave this place and call a mobile window repair the next day and they're able to find the leak within 5 minutes by just using a water bottle and going around the perimeter of the windshield. Finally the leak was found and repaired within 30 minutes. The price of All Glass is good, but the integrity of the guy running this place unfortunately isn't.

We chatted for a bit, and interestingly, I realized that about 14 years ago, I had my Camry windshield replaced at this same shop while waiting for my wife to pick me up. That level of consistency and longevity says a lot. I let Mo know I needed to head to San Jose and would be back around 5 PM to pick up the car. He was very understanding and accommodating. When I returned, the car looked like new again. The installation was flawless, and the quality of work exceeded my expectations. The Bait-and-Switch Pricing: We originally agreed on a quote for 15% tint on the two front windows. Upon arrival, Mo suddenly tacked on an extra $100 for the two small quarter windows connected to the front doors, claiming they were "hard to get to." Total cost would be $270 + Tax for the windows. We agreed and scheduled. 2. Wrong Product Installs & Gaslighting: We explicitly confirmed 15% tint via Yelp chat, verbally at booking, and again at drop-off. Despite Mo even warning us that 15% was dark enough to attract cops, we returned to find he had installed 50% tint instead. He feigned confusion despite multiple confirmations. He apologized and told us to bring the car back the following morning to fix his mistake. 3. The Jet Black Middleman Markup: When my wife returned the next morning, Mo wasn't even at the shop yet. When he arrived, my wife witnessed him driving our car over to the Jet Black Tint shop on Clement Ave. She walked over and met with Mo and a manager named Marvin. Marvin openly admitted to her that the tint Mo had previously installed on our car was "crap" and that Jet Black would replace it with "Quantum Ceramic". Mo also explained that they work out of their shop because they have "more space" there, wish was weird considering GlassTek had no cars and had their big garage empty. While she was there, I called Jet Black's central booking line (888-385-1504) and spoke with Jake. Jake informed me that Jet Black's direct price for all 4 windows in Ceramic at 15% is only $220. Mo was upcharging us significantly just to act as an unhelpful middleman and outsource the work to a shop I have happily used for my past vehicles. 4. Lack of Product Knowledge: When pressed on what brand of film he was actually selling us, Mo couldn't give a straight answer. He just kept repeating "it's Nano Ceramic." Nano Ceramic is a technology type, not a brand. I do not like being fooled or ripped off by business owners who hide what products they are actually putting on my vehicle. We immediately pulled our car, demanded they remove the incorrect 50% tint, and took our business to a reputable shop in San Lorenzo that charged a fairer price for verified Nano Ceramic film. Save your time, your money, and your sanity. Skip GlassTek entirely--this operation is far from up to par.

I had a horrible experience with them today. Never in my life have I felt as helpless as I did dealing with them. I arrived at their location early in the morning, desperately needing to repair the back windshield glass of my Honda Fit. I was told the manager would be in at 8:30, but he didn't arrive until after 9. I politely approached him, and he checked on the computer to see if the windshield was available. He informed me it needed to be ordered and assured it would be done by 12 pm. I agreed, thinking it wouldn't be too long of a wait. However, as the hours passed--12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm--there was still no progress. I was stuck there because I live quite far from their location. Meanwhile, the "manager" continued to serve other customers (over 30 people who arrived after me) without even acknowledging the delay or apologizing. He walked past me numerous times, completely ignoring my presence. I also noticed he was notably kinder to customers who were aggressive or demanding, while I sat there patiently for over 10 hours (including the time I arrived before their shop opened). They were severely understaffed, with only about 4 workers managing the needs of over 30 customers during the time I was there. It seemed people gravitated there because of its reputation for being low-priced, with few alternatives in Richmond. I left feeling incredibly disappointed. I even asked the manager if he could fix my side mirror while we waited for the windshield, to which he agreed, but nothing was done. Throughout the entire ordeal, there were no apologies or updates provided. I considered asking for a discount due to the significant amount of time wasted, but I was too upset to even engage with the manager. I hone don't know if I ever wanna go back there again. read more

Updates on 11/1/2017 I saw that the back window of my vehicle had a water leak, I had washed my car day before and could see water droplets on the inside of teh glass. Needless to say i was very disappointed by that. I called Low price auto glass about this and they informed that it is covered under their lifetime warranty and they will fix it at my place. Their technician was here withn an hour and took of te window and resealed it. I have to wait 2 days to remove the tape and hopefully the leak would be fixed. Taking off 1 star becuase of all this hassle. Still to their credit they honored their warranty without asking any questions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Absolutely LOVE this place. Only positive experience I've ever had while having my window replaced. Unfortunately this is my 2nd time having my window replaced and the first time safelite took care of it. Same window and I paid $500 and made an insurance claim using safelite. Low price glass repaired he same window for $255. From I understand, they don't upcharge on parts and then do the repair at minimum costs to profit by sheer volume. That volume means that the turnaround time is very quick. The best part of the experience was the mistakes made by the distributer. Their glass company shipped the wrong part, so their administration ordered me a better part and ate the price difference. My backwindow came back with a dark tint and looking better than the initial replacement. The reception can be swamped sometimes but their very accommodating. The food truck was completely overpriced. Do not recommend waiting in the reception room just because their infrastructure is bare bones. read more

This morning while enjoying a nice meal with my roommate, I had my car broken into along with another guy's car. The perpetrator smashed my window to grab my roommate's stuff. Thankfully they didn't take anything from me as well but they did leave me with a broken window. The other guy who also got vandalized let me know about Low Price Auto Glass, so I called them up and they told me they could see me that same day. It was a rainy day today so I was glad that they could see me and get everything sorted. When I asked what my out the door cost would be, they quoted me $120 + tax for the right rear window. I couldn't believe it, and had to ask "just for the glass, right?" "Nope," replied the owner, "that's the glass and labor." Needless to say I was pretty stoked since I'm a poor college student and every dollar counts. The whole thing took maybe 40 minutes and I was out with a professionally fitted new glass in no time. My ford Econoline van had a cracked windshield thanks to some road debris. I called Low price auto glass among other places and they had the best price of any of the locations I checked for a windshield, plus they had the needed glass in stock - YAY! I showed up and they immediately set two people to working on my van. Manager Richard was very courteous and directed me to a very nice and clean Waiting room. Within what seemed like almost no time at all they were done with my van and not only did it look great, they also took care of a couple of windshield trim issues on their own initiative that they were not responsible for. Everyone there communicated quite well (that may sound weird but these days, good customer service is becoming a thing of the past almost), they were efficient and skilled, and everything was good for me. I hope to not get any more cracked windshields but if I do, I'll be off to Low Price auto glass to get it handled. read more

I normally don't do a yelp review. But the professionalism of low price auto glass has forced me to leave one. I had parked my 2012 Prius outside my home when someone broke my rear passenger side door glass. I called my insurance and found that my deductible is $250 and insurance company hooked me up with one of their "preffered" shops to do the repair. I had booked an appointment with them for repairs 3 days later since they didn't have the glass in stock. However, one of my colleagues recommended me LPAG. I called them just to check, but to my surprise they offered me a deductible waiver of $125 and also had the glass in stock. Needless to say, I went there same day and paid a total of $125.00 and got it replaced. They also cleaned my car clean if any shards of glass. I was done within an hour. I signed up for Yelp because this place deserves to be recognized & recommended! This place is the real deal! Yes, they absolutely have the best prices in town. However, I was worried that that might mean that I would get what I paid for. I was wrong. Richard and his team are very professional and friendly.He even offers coffee or tea. If possible, make an appointment so they can have your part ready when you get there and then it usually takes less than an hour. If you have to wait a little longer and you're hungry ask Richard to point you to the breakfast & burgers place a block away - it was delicious! best prices in the town hands down, cant beat these guys... i wanted to change windshield of my rubicon 2016..and i called a score of shops with a variety of quotes ranging from $300 to $850....it was so confusing...i called low price and they quoted me 179.00. i was thinking that quoye must be wrong or some cheap quality glass. however, i stopped by them since they are close by. manager, richard explained to me that they are going to install ORIGINAL MOPAR glass...which is same what my vehicle had before breaking. they addresed all my concerns and also had the glass in their inventory. i was on my way within 30 minutes...select these guys for your glass needs and you dont need to worry.. read more

Somebody busted the rear passenger door glass of my lexus es350. I called few shops but they were charging more than $300 for door glass replacement and some did not even offer the same day service. I called low price and they quoted me 169 . I reserved an appointment for the same day at 1.30 but got late bcoz of traffic. The manager, Richard, was very accomodating and got me in nevertheless. My mother and I stopped here on Friday to fix both of our cars window. Everyone was very kind! They took the time to vacuum all the broken glass out the car and even a carseat! We didn't have to make an appointment, and they took care of both of us same day. Overall the wait and service was outstanding and no one can beat their prices! Best in the Bay! They took just 45 minutes to do so and had the glass in stock. They provide lifetime warranty on their work against any air or water leaks. I have a 2016 Honda Accord. Got my windshield for $170. OTHERS were asking or 250 and above. Service was fast too i was done in 45 minutes. They took the time to understand my project, addressed my questions thoroughly, and provided several options along with flexible scheduling to bring my truck in. When I mentioned that I would be out of town for a week, they were incredibly accommodating and simply reassured me that, "Your truck will be here when you're ready. It also gives us more time to make sure everything is done right" Their prices were reasonable, and the entire experience was seamless and professional. I highly recommend Hi-Tech to my friends and family and will certainly return for future work--or even just to stop by and say hello.
