I would give this company zero stars if that were an option. I strongly recommend avoiding doing business with them. They recently replaced the windshield on my car. Before the installation, I clearly asked if they would recalibrate the system, and they assured me that they would. After the work was completed, I confirmed again with the technician, and he stated that the recalibration had been done. However, three days later when I drove my car for the first time, I noticed that the lane assist and collision/crash assist systems were not functioning. Warning lights were blinking on my dashboard, indicating that the systems had not been properly recalibrated. I contacted them immediately. They told me they would come back to fix the issue, but after several days, I have not received any response or follow-up. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company and will not be returning for future services. read more

Last year my car window got smashed in Oakland when I went to visit a friend. My insurance company offered some companies that weren't close by at all and I'd have to drive with particles of broken glass inside my car, no thanks. Luckily I searched on Yelp and found safeko who drove out to meet me and fixed my car at it's parked location. They cleaned the glass shards when finished too. And they were covered from my insurance. Very fast service .. was able to get to my place in an hour or so. Very thorough: they used a vacuum to clean up the extra glass (a previous service my insurance company used left the glass behind, which could have damaged my window motors). One small quibble: I asked if they used OEM glass to match the dealer windows. They said it was the same manufacturer. It wasn't. I checked, but only after installation because I was in a hurry. At least the glass was made in the U.S.! (That was one reason I didn't check the manufacturer when they told me.) Overall a very solid choice with quality work. Team was great and professional. Was lowest quote. My window was broken into. Called for quote. Got that right way. Did the install within 2 hours of the call. Same window broken second night..ugh. Called next day. Said they would have to order glass and do it next day (I got the last one they had in stock for the first one). I scheduled it for the next day. So on the morning of my last birthday I was headed down to my (3 week old) car to pack it for an outing. My wife, infant daughter and I were set to celebrate a year of my life. Once I got down to the street however, I noticed the broken glass surrounding the drivers door of my car...ugh. Happy Birthday to me. :-/ I first called that other glass installer, you know the one with the jingle and commercials on TV. They offered to replace my window for a bit over $400...and I had to wait five days for them to get around to it...what!?! So I decided to try someone local...am I ever happy about that decision! The Safeko installer showed up within 5 minutes of the time he promised to arrive. He cleaned up all the broken glass and installed new glass in under an hour. Mind you my car is a 2016, so I wasn't even sure he'd have the right glass, but he did. Not only that, but the price was less than half of those other guys including taxes! The best part was, I got to spend my birthday in the park with my family instead of vacuuming glass and taping up the window, all the while hoping no one decides to just take the whole car since all they had to do was reach in the door. Tony repaired my windshield over a year ago. I had a window leak so I thought it was from that repair. It was my sunroof. He came to my home the first time and met me somewhere else to check his work. He clearly explained that the seal was good and showed me how and why it was likely the sunroof. He was even so nice to seal my sunroof to prevent new leaking until I can get it fixed. His work is excellent and stood the test of this hard rain. He really does guarantee his work.
