    Seafood platter for 2
    Moyanda K.

The service was A1 our server made sure we had everything we needed even with the restaurant filling up. Ordered the SEAFOOD PLATTER FOR 2 & ate on it for 2 days it was slap! Deviled crab, shrimp, oysters, fish & 2 sides for each person it was more than enough. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a country place in the cut, not too much but just enough to feel comfortable

The waitress forgot some items, and at the end of our meal a roach crawled across the table. We will never eat there again!

The food was hot and very fresh. Great hometown seafood restaurant. I would definitely visit again, if in the area.

Traveling through and needed a bit to eat. Few places in the area and being Sunday, most are closed…read moreor close early. This is a very unassuming place. Simple seating areas. 4 stars. Next, the staff. They were exceptionally nice. Friendly, polite, courteous and helpful. Absolutely 5 stars. The food. We ordered the fried pickle appetizer, a shrimp dinner and the special, a 5oz fried grouper sandwich. The pickles came out fresh, hot, nicely cooked in a perfect coating. Came with ranch dressing. Would totally order them again. 5 stars as they were perfect. The shrimp dinner was also very good. Nice portion of again... perfectly coated, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The side of coleslaw was fine. No rating as it was neutral. The fries, the side we chose, were ok. The usual frozen crinkle cut fries. They were hot and cooked well. But frozen makes them a 3 star. I personally was not a fan of the hush puppies as I'm typically not anyway. My partner said they were delicious. Going by her enjoyment, 3.5 stars. The grouper sandwich special. Presentation was good. Good bun, fresh leaf lettuce and fresh cut tomato. The fish was again, nicely coated. Unfortunately, it came out dry. A little tough to chew. My partner tried it and said the same thing. Fortunately, the great server offered to have a new one made for me. I really didn't want it so she replaced it with their fried shrimp! No headache. No nasty looks or comments. Just a server that wanted to make sure we had a good dining experience. She did. The bill arrived and the food prices were good. Taxes are a bit high but no fault of the place. We were disappointed to see a service charge of 3% for CC fee. Typical nowadays but still never happy to see it. Overall this is a place that I would absolutely recommend and if ever passing through here again, we will stop and eat here. 4.75 stars.

Back for our annual trip and review of Dockside. This is probably our favorite restaurant. Friendly…read morewait staff, excellent food and beautiful view. My only negative feedback is the temperature in there. I know it's hot outside but the restaurant is uncomfortably hot.

Stopped by Dockside tonight and had a really enjoyable experience…read more I started with the coconut shrimp appetizer, and it was so good that I ended up ordering another round and just calling that dinner. The food exceeded my expectations, and combined with the waterfront setting, made for a great evening. The view is absolutely beautiful. In my opinion, Dockside has one of the better waterfront views in Beaufort. While it isn't positioned for a perfect sunset, getting there as the sun starts going down is well worth it. After dinner, taking a walk around the marina is a great way to end the night. Service was solid overall. Our server was patient, responsive, and did a great job taking care of us throughout the meal. The only minor issue we had was that when our food was delivered, the cocktail sauce for the shrimp was missing, and the team member who brought it out seemed a little annoyed when we asked about it. To be fair, our server quickly fixed the issue, and it wasn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I'm giving Dockside 4 out of 5 stars. Not because it wasn't very good--it was. I just reserve 5-star reviews for places that leave me struggling to find anything that could be improved. My biggest critique is really more of a personal preference than a complaint. Dockside is very seafood-focused, which makes sense given what it is. However, the non-seafood options felt somewhat limited. If you're bringing someone who doesn't enjoy seafood, there aren't a ton of choices outside of a few entrees. I'd love to see something simple added to the menu--a burger, chicken tenders, or another casual option--to make it easier to bring friends and family members who aren't seafood fans. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend Dockside to both locals and visitors. Great food, beautiful views, a relaxed atmosphere, and a place I'll definitely visit again.
