Therefore, it's best to shop early and get seasonal items as soon as they hit the shelves. Also, it's imperative for those on a budget (and who isn't right now!) to take advantage of sales and/or coupons whenever possible. Much of the regular priced merchandise isn't what I would consider inexpensive and things can add up pretty quickly (especially if you listen to Martha!).
