If you don't like going to the dentist, then you're going to the wrong dentist. I used to dread going to the dentist and be a very skittish patient. I swear that I now look forward to it. Crazy? Maybe. Lowell Tooth Docs is the right dentist. Dr. Ramos has not only built a state-of-the-art, modern practice with the latest technology, but she has assembled and retained a well-trained and caring staff. They are happy in their work. Many of them have been with the practice since the very beginning. They spend a good amount of time on the cleaning/exams. They don't rush through those as some places do. This prevents dental problems or catches them early. I have been going to them since they opened and can't imagine going anyplace else. On a scale of one to five, they are a seven. read more

In a word, amazing!! Dr. Ramos & Dr. Ratte are awesome, along with a great "friendly" staff. So,unfortunately, due to an insurance change the wife and I had to leave Tooth Docs for a while. However, more life changes and we are able to return. I have had a toothache since late February trying to see a dentist. Tooth Docs took me back with open arms and treated me like I was the only patient they had (of course that is not true, but you know what I mean) They are friendly, professional, they listen, very sociable, and most important, they care!!!! Well, I'm no fan of dental work, however I have found that Lowell Tooth Docs has transformed that typically horrifying experience into a most pleasurable one. Many Dentists these days don't give you the personal attention you deserve, often use scare tactics, and convince you to take out a small car loan to pay for things you may not necessarily need. Luckily, LTD explains in detail what you need, what you MAY need, and next steps to take; all with a "smile" [HA! dental puns] Lowell Tooth Docs has convenient hours [open till 7PM on Mon/Tues], a very welcoming office environment [immaculately clean and bright] with a super friendly [albeit sarcastic] staff :) While they aren't a 'one-stop shop' for all your dental needs [no major oral surgery, orthodontic work], they focus on what they do well, and excel at it. I avoided the dentist for years, but now wish I needed more work so I have an excuse to go back. Well...maybe. read more

Tracy is awesome, she always puts on HGTV, last night I watched Love It or List It while I was getting my teeth cleaned, it's a very relaxing atmosphere. Dr. Ramos and LTD team could not have been more accommodating and efficient. I had an old bridge out on our Florida vacation, causing sensitivity in that area. With direction from the hygienist, I was able to place back in temporarily. Dr. Ramos fit me in on the same day our plane landed. In addition, to the support I received, I also feel empowered to ask questions about my care and if things "really" need to be done. Dr. Ramos and Team are always so knowledgeable in their response. I am a VERY difficult patient, but despite knowing I'm a pain, Tracy takes care of me offering her tremendous skills, compassion, and care. She is amazing at what she does, and under her treatments, I have had the easiest and best dental visit I can remember in years and owe it to the team at LTD. I love all the staff and doctors at lowell tooth doc!! They were amazing with my 3 year old who had very high anixity about going to the dentist, as well as my 6 year old, who gets excited about his appointments there! So I recently moved to Lowell for a job and it was time to go in for a cleaning. Lowell Tooth Docs came highly recommended. I was met by a nice receptionist and taken on a lovely tour of their super-water-filtration system and tool sanitation area, which was lovely. I got my teeth cleaned and flossed and got x-rays taken and a fantastic job was done cleaning my teeth. Had my experience ended here, I probably would have given a 5-star rating. Then Dr. Ramos came in. According to the nice person who'd just spent an hour cleaning my teeth and Dr. Ramos, I had thirteen cavities. Thirteen. All circled in red on the fancy scans on a monitor. They insisted that I NEEDED fillings for ALL THIRTEEN CAVITIES as soon as possible. Not that I "MAY need" them, as JC F's review implies. I waited three weeks until I was back home to see my family dentist for a second opinion. He took his own x-rays and looked at my teeth. Can you guess how many cavities he found? None. Absolutely nothing was wrong with my teeth. My insurance got back to me on what the estimate was for all of the work Lowell Tooth Docs wanted to do to my teeth. Just over $3,000. In summary, dentists swear an oath the same way doctors do. It's as much of a scam to the insurance companies if these dentists are doing unnecessary drilling on people's teeth as it is a travesty to the teeth. You've been warned. read more

Simply Awful. Had an implant insertion there. they butchered a surrounding tooth. When I refused to pay they sent an attorney after me. The Attorney later had to settle a class action suit do yo his practices. Stay away! read more

I used to hate going to the dentist - until I started coming to Lowell Tooth Docs. Originally, I switched to them because my former employer was on the 1st floor of the same building, but I've long since cut ties with that employer and still drive almost an hour, happily, to stick with Dr. Ramos and her team. Their office is clean, comfortable and modern, their equipment all looks state-of-the-art and they're actually nice! My previous dentist seemed to find something to complain about in every visit; Dr. Ramos provides positive reinforcement in every visit. Thanks to her team, my teeth and gums are in fantastic health. It took years but I finally convinced my wife to convert and now she, too, is a big fan. I highly recommend them. read more

I had several bad experiences with dentists in my past. I was referred to Lowell Tooth Docs and I remember my first appointment and telling my scary history and I was immediately put to ease. I left feeling assured that I was in the right place, not to mention I laughed several times because they are soo fun!! The staff always go out of their way to make sure each dental visit is comfortable, efficient, and excellent. I'm not sure anyone ever looked forward to their dental appointment before but my family does - it's like visiting with friends more than anything else. They genuinely care about not just your dental health but your overall health and who you are as a person. The amount of detail that goes into each visit is spectacular it's an experience unlike any other. I've had a lot of dental work in my time but this is by far the highest quality of care I have ever received in the most state of the art and cleanly environment. I was told good things about Dr. Ramos and her cosmetic dentistry so I went through the hassle of changing my dentist. Now I have nothing bad to say about Dr. ramose. Everything I've heard about her has been wonderful. But the office is horrendous!! First I called and said that someone had recommended I see Dr. Ramos and I wanted to see her for an irrigation of my gums, cosmetic bonding consult, and a cleaning. The girl on the phone was very friendly and said no problem and scheduled me in for an appointment. When I got there I was told that Dr. Ramos was very far behind and probably would not be able to see me that day, but that the only thing they had time for anyway was for the gum irrigation, so I saw the other dentist. The other dentist was very nice and did a good job, but the technician working was clueless! She was a front desk girl so I can't even confirm if she was a technician but the dentist had to give her so much instruction and she sprayed water ALL over me and my face! Then I scheduled another appt for a cleaning, so I cancelled with my previous dentist and they called me a day later at Tooth Docs to tell me they made an error I and didn't have Dr. Ramos in that day. So they put me on a waiting list time that I was available and they called me to say that they had one that I could take. So I took that appointment and within the week they called me again to tell me that Dr. Ramos would be on vacation. They slightly tried to be accommodating by telling me that they had an appointment available three hours from when they were calling me. Unfortunately I could not accommodate that late notice and I already had an appointment booked at that time on that day. I expressed my frustration about the three cancellations at this point and the person on the phone gave me a very rude tone and said that I had not been very flexible even though I gave them four hours a day to work with and that wasn't even the issue. Not to mention, they are not open every day of the week. I explained that the issue was that they booked three appointments for me that they could not keep. I ended up going back to my dentist I have been going to all along. It's unfortunate that I heard such great things about a dentist that I never was even able to see because the staff at the office are so unorganized and also not so kind. read more

Lowell Tooth Docs are the best around. I had not been to the dentist in years when I happened to land a job in the building they are in. I got to know the people that worked there and made my way to the dentist chair. They are without a doubt the dentist to go to. They listen, they care, they take the time to get to know you and your concerns. The staff is excellent and very friendly. Doctor Ramos is the only dentist I will see, and that's saying something now that I live closer to Western MA than Lowell. Check out this office, it is worth the trip! read more

Initially,I liked Lowell Tooth Docs. I had few visits with them. In my understanding they will make sure that all the money that you are entitled from your insurance is used up at their clinic. So, they suggested things which will be within the insurance coverage. Once, I missed an appointment because I was out o country. I was surprised to see a $50.00 bill in my mail for the missed appointment. In that bill, they owed me $4.79, which they never sent me a check, but adjusted with the new bill for MISSED APPOINTMENT. I was never informed of their payment policy, I thought that they will realize that they did it by mistake. But I got a follow up bill. I am determined not encourage such behavior on their part. I felt, they clean your teeth and clean your pocket too. I still have the copy of the bill. I am going to talk with them about this. If they do not resolve it, then will go to social media. read more
