Update: Manager called back offered upgrade product and apology for service. Not 5 stars because phone/customer service still unresolved Absolutely, horrible experience. I bought a grill and it was out of stock but I paid for it on 5/27. I was told that it would be in that night, assembled, and ready for p/u on 5/28. It's 5/31 and have spent 50+minutes calling the store only to have customer service pick up the phone and just hang up. They don't even bother saying hello, can you hold, etc. They just hang up. I went to Customer Service today because I was charged twice for an item I purchased yesterday. The employee said she could not take my word on that and said from now on I need to review my receipt when I check out. I checked out through customer service and did not go through self checkout. I realize that's true, but her tone, what she said to me, and her rudeness was not an example of how to treat customers. I spent around $200.00 and the item that got rung up twice was only around $7.00 and the $7.00 item was what I wanted a credit for. Other customers were at the desk and it was very embarrassing. We were confirmed for a delivery this morning between 8am-12pm (delivery was set up 2 weeks ago). We received a call last week to ensure we were still wanting the delivery. My husband called this morning after the 4 hour window and he was told by a young lady it was on the truck out for delivery. Never received any call stating they were running behind. At 3:30pm on the supposed day of delivery, I call and was told it was not being delivered today and all they had available was for an evening delivery the next day. The lack of communication for those responsible with contacting the customer is inexcusable. If you're not able to complete a job, let someone know and do the right thing. Lowes employees should have accountability with their jobs, not dropping the ball. read more

So disappointed in my experience with Lowe's. Spent weeks waiting for our new appliance to be delivered just to be let down when it came to installation. We purchased a dishwasher and paid for delivery and service. They tried to use parts that are clearly old, crusty, and should be discarded of. Our dishwasher happens to be next to our sink, yet it's now our fault for not communicating that their "default" hose is not long enough to reach. Well I'm not a dishwasher professional so this is ultimately why we had chosen to pay for installation. What I would like to know is what their plan would've been if we had discarded of the old hose all together before they arrived with the dishwasher. They just don't have a hose that reaches? We ordered a refrigerator and it was being delivered the next day between 10:30-2:30. The delivery driver called around 10:15 to say he was 45 minutes out. Around 11:15 I got a message that my refrigerator had been delivered. I waited until 2:30 and began making phone calls to see where it was. I was told it could not be delivered because there was an electrical line they could not get under over my driveway. First of all it's a phone line and we have had other deliveries made with no problems. The delivery persons did not even try to back down nor did they come down to inform me of the problem. Also they could have parked at the top and brought it down. No one from Lowe's or the delivery company bothered to call text or email. When you call to get resolution all you get is the big I'm sorry. What happened to quality customer care and service. I'm more than upset and will never shop there again and we have spent more than our share of money there. Buyer beware they just don't care. Shame on all of you. read more

I got turned off by Lowe's a few years ago when a bought a lawnmower late in the season... last one in stock, or I would've walked out when I suggested that I could fit it- still boxed- in my Corolla and the salesman laughed at me so loudly that it was clear he was seeking an audience. (it fit easily in my back seat). A few weeks ago, I tried to spend a gift card at Lowe's, and the register declined it, so I used my debit card, went home, checked the balance online- found out that each of my gift cards has $25 on them, so I went back today to spend one of them, and it was declined again. the man at the register did not offer to help- (I had told him that I'd checked the balance online)...I still intend to get my $50 worth of overpriced stuff when I have time to dither about it, but then I'm done. read more

I ordered my stove online it did not allow me to do installation of the gas stove. I called and had to buy the line and purchase the install at the local store. I was told also that there was no guarantee if I purchase this that I would have this installed. I also see that they have not yet prepared to deliver my stove and we are 4 days away. I call and I get the run around about the product even being available. This is a terrible experience. I made a complaint to corporate but no one still has called. read more

Went there to buy a shed. NOBODY in outdoor to help. After looking for 30 minutes went inside to customer service to get help. They called for service to sheds. We went back out and waited another 20 mins. Went back in and they said "Oh 2 people are headed out there but were for 2 other calls. Lowe's 107 Carrytown Rd Hillsboro Oh 45177 Wow, what can I say about my experience with Lowe's. Let's start here. My elderly aunt was in need of a heat stove and needed one fast. We shopped a few places and Lowe's was the only place we could find one with substantial BTU to heat her well over 200 year old home. We were help quickly with the purchase of this stove but that is where the knowledge ended. The man who placed the order told is the stove (heat) told us the stove would be direct order from the manufacturer and a direct ship to us and the call them tomorrow they would be able to give is an exact same shipped date, and said something about a tracking number, but as for now the date to receive our merchandise would be on or about the 23td of November. Fast forward, after multiple calls and several drop in visit's to acquire the date to schedule propane tank installation and delivery, all to no avail. The department manager finally was able to find an active telephone number for the manufacturer which initial she called then per my request gave me the number. Now we have a new delivery date, December 7 and a direct phone number for the manufacturer. After reaching a live voice with the manufacturer, we then were told the stove not be ready for shipment until possibly the 7th of December at the earliest and added due to covid we are behind. This information would have been very helpful when placing the order on November 2. After speaking with the office manager over the Lowe's account several times and explaining what Hillsboro Lowe's already know, we live in Ohio, the farm house is old, we ordered because her stove blew up and the 1970's manufacturer of the older stove went out of business and we exhausted every means possible to have that one repaired and had to purchase a new one. Then and only then, the office manager called me back, finally someone fighting for us. They shipped us their showroom floor model and we received it by Dec 14th. I called Lowe's to inquire about the copper tubing for in house, what size does this stove need and once again Lowe's was clueless, they had absolutely no knowledge of the item sold to us in their store and "if there was something missing you'll have to bring the stove back to them", direct quote from manager in training coming from the manager on duty. By the way when, selling a heat stove and the manufacturer calls their products a heat stove, that's what it is not a heater which would lead someone to now after all this incompetence they were in the wrong in transfering me to the cook stove department Here is the good in all of the. We learned paitence. The stove was of good quality with only only minor flaws for the 1200.00 plus stove Lowe's worked so fast to sell us and so hard not to follow up with. Today Alex & Holly told me to leave the store after trying to discuss with them that the online price is different from the store price and asked them to match it. I love Lowes in Florence. Miss the old people that left after the restructure but there are still some great employees that know their stuff. I recommend them above any home improvement store in the area. Specifically the paint dept. John Walters is who you need to ask for if you need to match a color. Terry is knowledgeable about stain and application and removal. Crystal can help you choose the right color and Evan will walk you to everything you will need to get started and clean up afterwards. Best paint too. Valspar Reserve is worth the money but I would choose Infinity over anything else for durability and coverage. There isn't a better paint on the market and I used to swear by Benjamin Moore. I paint often and I will never shop anywhere else. read more
