Still a two star Decent parking. Deli doesn't have prices on meats- the employee was not happy as I asked how much things are. This grocery store was near my hotel. I was looking primary for premade food. An ok selection. This was my third grocery store in NC. This was clean, brightly lite and well stocked. They had self-checkout which made the process easy. I did have two items that rang up higher than what I saw on shelf. I obviously didn't have a loyalty card but that was not the issue as these items were not on sale. That would drive me nuts if this was my regular store to have to argue pricing all the time. I had limited interaction with the staff but they seemed friendly and helping other customers. They have some cute tshirts at the front that had some funny saying on them. Parking was easy. A tad difficult to get in and out of the shopping center but I am sure if you live here you know the routes. read more

I find that the prices at Lowes is usually about 30% higher than other nearby grocery stores. I also have noticed that when I do buy something at this store that the price at the register is usually higher than the price marked on the shelves. I don't live near a Lowes Foods but I finally stopped in at this location to redeem a gift card that my wife was given. First impression is that it is clean and well run. It took me a while to find everything I wanted, but prices and selection were decent. I was intrigued by the station where you could cut and purchase just the amount of herbs you need instead of buying it prepackaged. Somehow we actually had a Lowes loyalty card from years ago, and I used that at checkout to make sure I got the better price. I would definitely come here again if I lived closer. read more

What a change since the update! Their new and improved look has added some interesting things like Spice Bazaar, bulk section, a sausage counter with a huge selection and dry aged beef. The dry aged beef is pricey and is cut to order. The employees even call out when the hot bread comes out of the oven. The bakery section looks amazing too. Various areas are titled to reflect the Triangle area, which is cute and gives it a hometown feeling. They also carry local produce as available. Prices are all over the map with sales, house brands, and things like the dry aged beef. There's also mark down sections in the meat department and a hallway right off the dairy section that's worth checking. read more

Lowes foods is my go to grocery. Since moving to NC, there's something I've always loved about lowes. This particular location is a pretty quiet grocery with reasonable lines when there is a line. Prior to Covid, something that always impressed me is that the cashiers are always friendly and do a great job bagging efficiently. We now shop almost entirely curbside at this point and hearing so many other horror stories from others using other services, I have to say lowes is just exceptional! One thing I do like is the ability to make notes and Lowes app remembers the notes, so suffice to say I always get bananas how I like them and I have rarely had issues. The biggest issues are supply chain related, at this point, which isn't there fault. read more

The store on s. commons (Surfside). A nice store; a little pricey; mmm concerned about current environment. An alert was sent out for ALL OF SC, this was the WORST week and the virus is spreading fast. I was just in that store. Not one food handler had on gloves or masks yet there were signs saying "don't touch counter". (???) Cashier - no mask/gloves - said wearing mask makes her hot and uncomfortable. Meanwhile, I'm wearing a mask/gloves and I brought my own bag and she says she can't touch it. (???) Am I missing something or is it because it's Holy Week, they are protected??? Lowes Foods has become my go-to for quick and easy shopping for groceries needed at a pinch! This place being literally a stone's throw from where I live, the convenience of being able to walk here to buy stuff is definitely a blessing and cannot be taken for granted! About a couple years ago they actually did a total redecoration and renovation making it a much more attractive place to atleast window shop, if not actually shop. Their colorful and artsy signs for all the sections like the Bakery, Bread, Meat sections and the well-organized space feel like a Hollywood set albeit a tad fake, but atleast they're doing something not seen at other grocery chains. I love the herb garden where you can snip and cut your own herbs and stuff into a plastic baggie for 2 bucks or so. The beer den is also worth mentioning where a small bar sits where you can grab a pint or two, or walk in with your own growler and fill er up to go! Groceries and produce seem mostly fresh too. For me, the main negatives have been that nearly everything is a tad pricey compared to most other stores, even if you use their Lowes Rewards card. And also the Frozen Foods section feels like a mini-Siberia. Does it really have to be that cold? I can withstand most low temperatures but even I cannot walk through that area without my teeth chattering! Overall definitely a good store to have for quick 1 or 2 purchases, but maybe not for bulky, huge, fill-up-your-car-with-groceries type of shopping! read more

This is one of the places we shop for groceries when we visit Pittsboro. Since we were there last, they have renovated the store and added a section called the Beer Den. Here is where you can get a pint of craft beer or a glass of wine and drink it in the store. The beers are from local brewers and they have a nice selection of stouts, ambers and belgiums. Thursdays are a great day because you can get a half price pint. When I was there last, I tried the Yeah Toast. It was delicious and literally tasted like French toast!! read more

This has to be hands down the most wonderful grocery store I've ever been to. They have a unique feature called the beer den. You can literally get a glass of wine or beer to drink while you grocery shop. They have growlers for purchase too if you want to take some home. The cleanliness of the store is stellar . They have a wide selection of brands and a great rewards program too. This year my boyfriend and I are probably going to win wine glasses and a decanter via the rewards pr. I never thought I'd Yelp a supermarket but because I was unsure of what type of grocery store this was and have never heard of Lowe's (must be a Southern thing) previously, I had to stop by to see what it was like. Whether it was - standard, organic, discounted? Initially I thought Lowe's would be a discount supermarket like Aldi but it's a regular grocery store. I bought some essential items like bananas, bread, eggs. They even have fresh bread by 9th Street Bakery. Place is clean and everything is easy to find. We moved from Ohio to Conway, SC a few months ago. We have been diligently searching for a butcher shop or meat market that has high quality meat and reasonable prices. We have been unsuccessful until today. We shopped for the first time at a Lowe's Foods market near us. I think we found our meat market! The beef, chicken and pork all look delicious and tender. The prices are reasonable. Other supermarkets, small markets and butcher shops have had bad looking meat, stinky/dirty environment or excellent looking high quality meat priced too high. read more

Y'know, I'm not a big fan of Brier Creek and its endless miles of chain stores, but this Lowe's Foods always surprises me pleasantly. The people who work there have been consistently helpful when I've needed a bit of direction. The fresh fruits and vegetables have always been fresh. And their culinary and international foods have been a home run. Maybe I've just been lucky or maybe they cater to gourmands; I can't say. Terrible check out experience! Somehow they added an extra $60 to order, took about 10 mins trying to remove and figure out how it happened. After that they said they would need to re check out the entire order, that I just bagged in my reusable bags. After it was all said and done 15-20 mins later I barely received an apology for wasting my time. Update-7-18-2020 0 for 3 so far. I returned a few more times with the promise that I wouldn't continue to receive issues when checking out..not the case. Not only did I have problems but as I'm standing around waiting for them to get assistance I can other patrons also having issues at check out. They should let another store but them out to get managed properly or just shut the doors all together. read more

I shop here often, as this is one of the closest grocery stores to my house. They do have really fresh produce, but they are really expensive - like more expensive than Harris Cheater (pun intended). Most of the staff is really top notch, especially manager Preston, although I don't think he works there anymore. He was AWESOME and the staff really fell in line behind him. There is one cashier named Sylvia who I always assumed just wasn't very pleasant. She barely speaks (unless you're a man and then she's quite the Chatty Cathy), and always seems despondent - often using gestures instead of her words to communicate. Sylvia aside, Lowes is pretty good and they do have an awesome Deli, especially after the remodel. And sometimes you can catch really good deals (Barn Burners). read more

Lowe's is a convenient store to our house. If I'm looking for staples, at a decent price and relatively good produce I'll come here. The one thing I really like about Lowe's Foods is their deli area. I am a big fan of Boars Head brand products and this is one of the few stores that carries them. Their butcher area is a bit to be desired, but you have to take a chain store as a chain store. It would never compete with the freshness and the customer service or a Whole Foods, but for a grocery store it's pretty good. Their produce area is usually well stocked and it's rotated often to keep some pretty fresh items in inventory. This Lowe's is a bit small compared to others. It took over the old Piggly Wiggly spot in the Brier Creek Area. On the pricing side, most people expect to see relatively higher prices at this grocery store. However, I feel that it's competing with Wal Mart, Target and Earthfare and this keeps the price point pretty low. read more

I've gone here a couple of times now. The customer service always seems very friendly and the cashiers move through the lines fast. I've never had to wait long while checking out. This is a BIG plus in my book. The store has a good variety and is kept clean. The only thing negative about this place is the fact that you can find expired items on the shelves. This has happened more than once. So make sure that you check the item before you buy it. As prices go, they're not Wal-Mart or Target cheap; however, their sales prices can beat them. They also seem to be cheaper than Food Lion or Harris Teeter for non-sales items. As another bonus, they offer double coupons up to 99 cents. They also have a frequent shopper card that can give you money back. I've gotten one $5 reward so far. Another great thing about Lowes Foods in general, if you go online (http://www.lowesfoods.com/) you can take a look at their sales flyer and make an online shopping list right from the flyer. This list can then be printed or e-mailed to you. If you click on an item in the flyer, it will add it to your list. It also gives the price and any special offers (like BOGOF). You can also add items to the shopping list not from the flyer. Overall, I will continue to shop here weekly. I would recommend them. read more

I'm always a fan of checking out different grocery stores and when it came to scoping out the stores in my new area, I had to say I was disappointed... till I found Lowe's. In terms of what's available in the brier creek area, Lowe's is the best choice. I like their selection although I do wish it were more extensive at times... more specifically with their organic fruits selection but I can get by with what they do have. So, I've never heard of Lowe's before (aside from the Home Improvement store) so I really did not know what to expect but it's become my go-to grocery store. I think the best way to describe it is between a food lion and harris teeter, where it's small but the quality of food and products seems good. I usually go for produce and staples as their international section is lacking. They do have a rewards program that's actually really easy and simple to register. Also, the staff is always so friendly and nice, it's easy to approach the deli counter or ask someone for assistance. There's a large parking lot and it's clean with lots of carts and baskets (always using these! Love that they always have them!). Added bonus: they do have samples like harris teeter! read more

The fruit I went to get were very fresh and were on sale, and I inquired about the rewards card and they immediately set me up with one and packed all my groceries for me and showed me how much I saved along with the rewards I can get. What I like: This location is clean, convenient, and organized. The staff are always very friendly. I love their "pick and prep" fruits, which are always super fresh and delicious. The fried chicken and sides are decent- a little salty, but a good value. What I dislike: The meat selection is soooo small. They only have the basics, chicken, 2 or 3 steak varieties, some ground beef, pork sausage, ground turkey. No fresh turkey sausage or chicken sausage. No turkey chops. Very few pork/beef items. Lastly, I ordered a chicken wing platter for a party. When I went to pick it up, it was cold! Cold, as in it was in the refrigerator. So I had to go home and put them in the oven... and they turned out mushy instead of crispy. Disappointed after all the money I spent. read more

Let me tell you that I have had the best experiences there. Since it is the closest to my house, I really don't want to go far with a new born. Considering I go there on a weekly basis, there is always one check out girl that is there and she knows my name and even when I am not with baby, she always asks and remembers me. That is customer service if you ask me! I also really love that they give money back not just towards food but towards gas and HESS and WILCO.. I was at the Brier Creek location at 9:24 p.m. tonight with my husband and 3 year old son. We were there utilizing the water refill station. Well we didn't immediately fill up our water jugs because there were two employees on break besides the water station. One was smoking a cigarette. So we decided to wait because I am 9 months pregnant, we had our 3 year old, and because who wants to smell disgusting cigarette smoke!! So, the older lady saw us and then decided to put out her cigarette in order for us to fill our jugs. After she put out her cigarette, the guy beside her, who I found out name was Robert, put up his middle finger up which impels "f*ck you" quickly in our direction. He did not realize that I caught his quick attempt with insulting my family. I went into the store and told a worker about the incident and that's how I learned his name. I told my husband what happened also, he confronted Robert. And Robert denied it of course. But I know what I saw. And it is totally disgusting and unacceptable to have your employee give the "f*ck you"gesture to a family. I will be going to Lowe's in the morning to speak with the store manager. Because this type of behavior should not be tolerated. I spend a lot of money at this Lowe's being that I live across the street. And I find it disheartening that had this type of experience from one of your employees. This type of person should NOT be employee nor around customers because of his tasteless actions and crude behavior. I have NEVER been so insulting in my life. They've recently updated their look, and it's nice! They have all new sections on their bakery, beer, produce, and meat departments. It feels like they're going for a Whole Foods vibe, but the one downside is that the space is so small, it's all crammed in up against each other. My biggest complaint is their meat prices. Holy crap expensive. These are whole foods prices without the "organic grass fed" titles. Even when they have sales, they're still more expensive than Harris Teeters or Publix. Since it's better than Walmart (our other closest grocery store) I guess we'll keep spending $$$ here. Hopefully their prices start to come down a little... read more

I adventured over here for Double Coupon weekend a week or so ago to see how many deals I could get, but I was a bit disappointed. I was not very impressed in the layout of this store -- I made about 4 or so round-trips, looking for items that weren't in their typical spots (compared to other grocery stores). All of the packaged meat (kielbasa, bacon, sausage, etc.) is over in the "bakery" section for some reason. The aisles are shorter than the average person -- so I felt like a giant going through this store. They did not have as wide of a selection of items -- which was a bit disappointing. I also was sad to find that they did not sell fresh spinach! I will say, however, that the service here is great. They have enough people at the check-out lanes -- with ACTUAL baggers! (Sorry, I find that there are very few at other grocery stores). In addition, a store associate quickly and happily gave me a Lowes Foods Rewards card at the customer service desk! Coolio!
