    Brand new lights in box -- can't be returned, why ?

    Poor Customer Service and Misleading Policies at Lowe's Beaver Creek (Apex, NC) I've been a loyal Lowe's customer for years, but my latest experience left me deeply disappointed. I purchased Christmas lights online on December 12, 2024, assuming (as my receipt says) that 'most items can be returned within 90 days.' When I tried to return the lights after Christmas, I was told that holiday items are subject to a December 24th return cutoff--a policy not mentioned on my receipt and only buried in fine print online. The lights are unopened and unused, yet the store manager refused to make any accommodations for this unclear return restriction. Instead, I was told corporate policy offers no exceptions. For a $62 issue, this dismissive attitude showed no consideration for loyal customers or fair practices. To make matters worse, Lowe's largest competitor, Home Depot, doesn't have such restrictive policies for holiday items. It's frustrating to be blindsided by misleading or poorly communicated policies and treated with indifference by management. Lowe's needs greater transparency in their return policy and better training for staff to show care for their customers. Until this changes, I'll be taking my business to other home improvement retailers.

    Service - non customer centric. Lowe's has always tried to hill itself as the non-contractor alternative to Home Depot. This is a review for the target market. I just spoken to the pro desk manager about cutting (3) 2x4's boards. Each would need 2 cuts. His reply was: It's corporate police that we only cut a board one time. And, even if I make an exception to that, there has to be 16" left for us to make the cut. We spoke about how customer service just doesn't exist anymore and he agreed and blamed legal. He said it wasn't worth it for him to put the customers needs ahead of the corporate needs. That pretty much sums up what you need to know and why the reviews for LOWe's are so Low. Having grown up in Wilkesboro NC, this is a real shame to see. Lowe's was built by taking care of the customer.

    I am warning everyone, Lowe's and Legacy Flooring are a huge risk! Their contract installer who did our backsplash did not have common sense enough to put card board under the feet of my stove before sliding it across my wood floors, and now they are scratched up. Lowe's nor Legacy FLOORING will not even send someone to repair them. They keep down playing the scratches and have literally told me they would "just buff out", but won't send anyone to try it out! They insulted me by offering me $75.00. And, get this, the caulk along the edge of our new backsplash is crumbling now anyway. It's only a month old. You try to get ahead with beautifying your home, and you end up with another and more costly repair!

    This is the sign. It conspicuously displays $23.98. There also were no other items near the sign besides the tables.

    In store shopping is fine. Most employees are nice but a few have been rude. Online pickup is a joke so just stick to shopping in the store.

    We went to Home Depot for a child's "workshop." It was very very busy and there was a line to get a…read morespot at a table. We were given a wooden kit - this one was a BBQ as it was the first Saturday in June. They also gave us a blank gift card ... hint hint. The card fits well inside the BBQ - a good gift idea. I gave this 5 stars because it is such a nice idea. I love the idea of involving my 6 yr old grandchild in something healthy and useful in life. I figured someone would show us what to do. No ... we went to a table and everyone has to read the long directions and make it themselves. I asked for help and the man couldn't answer. We were down a screw and there weren't others. I wish they would have posted step by step directions with a picture or sample of each step. We used a screw at one point, instead of a nail. It didn't matter in the whole scheme of things but we didn't know that and thought we might have ruined the whole thing. .. a little stressful as we wanted to have a good experience with our grandchild. After we put the wooden BBQ together we got to paint it. There weren't a lot of colors but it was only a BBQ. There were decals to put on it when it dried. So thank you Home Depot for doing this. It is wonderfully kind and it could be even better. I suppose we'll get better and better if we keep doing it. We'll try again.

    Buyer beware !!!!…read more Purchased a exterior door and they completely mislead you on what they will do. First, they don't hold themself accountable for issues .. then they don't even hold to their words. I wish i paid a little more and went with Lowe's then deal with Home Depot APEX. They installed door that was damaged, did not take any accountability .. i had to do al the work with manufacture to get the door replaced. The 2nd door was also damaged. They promised to come in and address what they committed prior to me purchasing to what was actually done .. that never happens. I will never buy anything from Home Depot apex anymore ... can't trust them, from their store manager to their customer support reps.
