    We had excellent service from a very knowledgeable person in the nightmarish changing of light bulbs. He spent about 30 minutes making sure we were making the right choice in several hours. Self checkout was a breeze (even though I prefer live checkout) but the attendant was very polite and helpful.

    Shouldnt need to make 6 phone calls in order to get help with delivery issues. I was hung up on twice. Two calls went to random locations that just rang out. One call wasn't answered. Pretty crappy customer service! BUT Victor was amazing! He helped me, answered all my questions and was very pleasant. He deserves a raise!! 1 for the first 5 calls 5 for Victor So I decided to go with 3

    Part 1: As of 8/13/23, I have had the worst customer service experience ever in my life with this establishment. If they manage to fix the situation, I'll update my review, but I'm not holding my breath. Here's what happened: I bought a refrigerator through Lowes on Brodie on 7/22/23. It took a long time to get help. I'm not sure if the guy was used to selling appliances or not. He only knew what the website told him so we scrolled together to see how I could get the type of refrigerator I wanted. I saw the same thing he did- the fridge I wanted could be delivered by 8/12/23. I bought it and was SO excited. I'm a single mom of a toddler and on a budget, so I have to plan these things out carefully. I planned and saved to have a water softener and filter installed in my house, followed by a new refrigerator. This is something I've been working on for a year. So I'm not just throwing a tantrum because I'm not getting what I want right now. I sold my current fridge, and arranged for the buyer to pick up the same day I was getting the new fridge. Friday 8/11/23 evening I had not heard anything about delivery and didn't even have an email. So I called and was told my scheduled delivery time in 8/12/23 would be 3pm-7pm. On Saturday 8/12/23, they said the fridge was never loaded onto the truck, so I had to schedule a redelivery for the next day. Fine, I get it. Stuff happens when your logistics departments are subpar. I was assured I was number 1 on the delivery list, so I could expect the delivery between 8am and noon on Sunday 8/13/23. Sunday 8/13/23 rolls around and late in the morning I find out the delivery window has been changed to 8/13/23 from 11am to 3pm. I call and was told the same thing- the fridge was never loaded on the truck. While making my way "up" the chain of command I am told, it was never loaded on the truck, but that it was in the warehouse in Kyle, Texas. I said, ok, that is an hour and 20 minutes from me, so get it on a truck and get it to me. Well, then, the answer changes. They actually don't know if it's in their warehouse. I ask them to please find it because I need this refrigerator today. I had taken all my food out of the fridge and freezer at 2:45 in anticipation for the fridge to be delivered by 3 and my current fridge to be sold and taken away. While waiting for them to find it, I call Lowes on Brodie to start escalating it on their end. The woman I spoke with first was nice enough, but put me on forever hold until it rang back and a man answered. I believe his name was Bryce. I'll go ahead and give the one star I'm providing to Bryce because he was the only person who sounded like he wanted to solve this problem for me. Problem is, his manager was not nearly as effective as he was. Bryce discovered in about 15 seconds that the fridge was actually out of stock, now until September 1st. Mind you, I am already MULTIPLE phone calls in at this point. The distribution center in Kyle (UST) called me at around the same time and said that they looked all over the warehouse and could not find it. Well, now we know that was a waste of time and resources since Bryce discovered in 15 seconds using the computer that the fridge wouldn't be in the warehouse. Still, I am grateful for their effort.     Ordered a new dishwasher and it came at 8 AM , which was great but wrong color. Was supposed to be white and its black. Oh well.

I spent most of my money fixing up the house so my budget for appliances is limited. I'm so happy that I found what I needed within my budget at A4L. I highly recommend this store for anyone shopping on a budget and don't want to suffer quality. What I Loved: 1. Affordable Prices: The biggest draw is, of course, the discounts. Many items were priced significantly lower than big-box retailers, even with the crazy Black Friday sales going on. The reason for the low price is mostly because those appliances are open box items. Some of the items may have minor cosmetic damages such as a dent. The store run tests on them to make sure they are fully functional. Those appliances are under the manufacturer warranty, and I believe A4L also offers warranty. 2. Knowledgeable Staff: The sales associates were friendly, helpful and well-informed about the products. Michael, the store owner, helped me evaluate the pros and cons of each options and we decided on the refrigerator, washer and the dryer that are not only beautiful but also functional for my family's needs. 3. Fast Delivery: The store offered delivery, which was a huge plus for me. What to consider: 1. Cosmetic Flaws: like I mentioned earlier, some of the discounted items had minor scratches or dents. While these didn't impact functionality, it's something to consider if aesthetics are important. 2. Variety of brands: while there is a decent selection of good brands such as LE and Samsung, you may not have as large of selection as those big box retailers. Verdict: A4L is an excellent place for anyone looking to save money on appliances without sacrificing quality. While the trade-off may be minor cosmetic issues, the savings are worth it. I'll definitely return for future purchases!

    I thought I was buying a scratch and dent dryer,,,,,,I did not know it was used also. I found it on…read moreline for $448, called and talked to store said I would be there the next day at 11 am. The people were nice and it seemed to go smoothly. When I got to the store the dryer was packaged up in clear cellophane. I could see the few scratches it had,,,,everything seemed ok. I went to pay for it and they rounded up to $450, I did not say anything, no big deal. The floor help was nice and helped me load the dryer and even got me extra cardboard to protect it. I got home and removed the cellophane and to my surprise my wife said it is used! There was lent in the trap. After removing the screen there was hair and dirt on the inside. This was a used dryer, not just a scratch and dent. The price I paid was for a brand new dryer with some scratches, this dryer should have been cheaper for having been used for no telling how long. If you do business here,,,,,Caveat emptor, let the buyer beware!!!!!!

Literally he returned my call within 3 minutes. Today was his day off, but I told him I would be in the area and he said it was fine to go by and take a look so I did. I went in and I acknowledged the staff without them acknowledging me at all. It's a really small showroom, not a megastore. I found the two models I was looking for quickly on my own and took pictures and measurements of each. I then walked around the showroom looking for more models but also half expecting someone to approach. That's when it got really weird. No one approached me at all. I literally left with no human interaction. There were employees in the store and there were a couple of customers. It seemed that there was more of a coffee klatch going on than actual business. So other than for appliance pictures and measurements and a couple of pieces of candy from their candy dish, I didn't get much out of the experience. Something else to mention. It's not clear whether this business is Ferguson or Harway. The building sign says Harway but the reserved parking signs say Ferguson. Is Harway a Ferguson company or is Ferguson a Harway company? There's only one business at this address but it seems to be having an identity crisis. (Update: Ferguson acquired Harway in January 2024, but, as of this writing in late March 2025, still hasn't rebranded anything other than the parking signs out front). Sorry, Ryan. You seemed awesome but your team members totally let you down today. I definitely see no value in spending money at what I thought was a local business that has been bought out by a national company and doesn't have anyone willing to help you when you walk in presale.

I recently moved to Texas to build a dream home and decided to splurge on all the appliances. The builders I worked with suggested a big name appliance company here in Austin but they were incredibly difficult to deal with. Although I was going to spend more than $50k in appliances, the person at Ferguson would never return emails or phone calls. I was interested in the Wolf/Sub Zero lines and Harway came up as an authorized dealer so I decided to give them a try. My initial contact was with Dustin who was incredibly helpful from the first time we spoke all the way through delivery and installation. I had a general idea of the different appliances I wanted and Dustin was incredibly helpful making sure I picked out all the items I wanted. Their prices were essentially the same as the other appliance store, but the customer service at Harway is unparalleled. When I would call, Dustin would answer immediately or call back within minutes if he couldn't get to the phone. He always responded to emails in a very timely manner and for every concern or issue I had, he managed it flawlessly. Because of the backlog going on with just about everything, I went and ordered all of my appliances one year out from the estimated completion date of my new home. Initially it seemed most items would come in close to the completion date but the major items, refrigerator and grill, were going to come in later. And unfortunately, month after I had placed my order, I discovered I had missed the outdoor grill and cabinets and had to place another order. It was much later than the original order so I wasn't sure if I was going to get them before the house was finished. This would have been a problem since the grill had to be built into the house. No surprise, the house build kept getting delayed and delayed. And the appliances actually came in before the house was finished which was great since we were concerned if they were delayed it would hold up completion of the house. Unfortunately, we couldn't take delivery but Harway was amazing and just stored the items for us and there were ten major appliances. The other Austin appliance store was not going to store if the items came in and we weren't ready. Harway must have held the items for a month before the house was ready for them to be installed. But when the time came, they scheduled the entire installation and everything (refrigerator, range, wine reefer, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, two warming drawers, an outdoor grill and ventilation hood) were all installed in one day! They also helped me find a company that built a custom duct for range vent because of our high ceilings. And for any issue, they were so quick to respond. And the biggest surprise of all, was getting ALL of the appliances. We were originally told it would be a month or two after we moved in before we got the range and refrigerator. But Christmas came early and we received all the appliances on the same day! And given all the appliances, the only issue was just a tiny little rubber stopper on the outdoor grill missing which they had someone come out and replace within days. If you are in need of a single appliance or outfitting an entire home as we did... you won't find a better place than Harway. And I'm sure everyone who works here is amazing, I can't say enough great things about Dustin! He will give you Five Star treatment and will not stop taking care of you until everything is to your satisfaction.

I submitted an order on the 27th, with the understanding that I would receive my order on the 29th. The immediate email I received upon processing my order blatantly stated "delivery date Jan 29th". I have called them every day since, I guess it's really on me for thinking there would be such a quick turn around. While I try to sleep on a hard floor in anticipation of ever learning when the warehouse even receives my order, the customer service keeps saying "rest assured". I can't rest, I have nothing to rest on. If the email said delivery date: feb 4th, I'd believe them, but also immediately cancel my order, and search for an option where I can go and pick it up myself. The customer service tells me to ' "rest assured" the warehouse will send you an email when the item is collected for shipping'. They offered me $60 in-store credit, lol and their biggest coupon (25% off).
