Re: Windows Tyler assigned me to Brandon of Lowe's Marble Falls, who has the best customer service reviews. He's got higher reviews than any other in home consultants in Austin. Tyler texted that both Brandon and him really enjoyed working with me. My bids were as follows for four windows: 1. Lowes Pella Architect (including octagon w/ gray tint and sidelight tempered & frosted and Austin city permit) = $7000 However, they do not paint trim for free if dinged or damaged. 2. Wilco Windows Pella Impervia (including octagon of alleged Impervia and sidelight tempered & obscure) = $7300 I say alleged because Laura, the Pella Austin Regional Sales Rep said Impervia didn't come in octagon. I'm not sure if the octagon was vinyl, custom fiberglass, or wood. 3. Marvin Replacement Infinity (including octagon and sidelight tempered & frosted) = $9200 Does not include white glove service of removing & reinstalling roller shades for free.

His repairman installed a part that it turned out we didn't need. We still paid for the labor to have this tiny part taken out of an older model on their lot, installed and un-installed in our refrigerator, but asked for a refund for the $250 part. He asked us to send it back to him, as his crew left it here. We sent it back, and paid for the shopping. He has not refunded a penny. Every time I contact him, he asks the same question, "Did you send it back?" This is obviously a stalling tactic, as he has asked this question repeatedly and the the answer is right above in the text thread. He also knows us well enough to know we are trustworthy people. After 5 months and countless texts, and as I am a fair person, I let him know that I would publish a negative review as of this week if I hadn't heard from him. I highly recommend this store for anyone shopping on a budget and don't want to suffer quality. What I Loved: 1. Affordable Prices: The biggest draw is, of course, the discounts. Many items were priced significantly lower than big-box retailers, even with the crazy Black Friday sales going on. The reason for the low price is mostly because those appliances are open box items. Some of the items may have minor cosmetic damages such as a dent. The store run tests on them to make sure they are fully functional. Those appliances are under the manufacturer warranty, and I believe A4L also offers warranty. 2. Knowledgeable Staff: The sales associates were friendly, helpful and well-informed about the products. Michael, the store owner, helped me evaluate the pros and cons of each options and we decided on the refrigerator, washer and the dryer that are not only beautiful but also functional for my family's needs. 3. I thought I was buying a scratch and dent dryer,,,,,,I did not know it was used also. I found it on…read moreline for $448, called and talked to store said I would be there the next day at 11 am. The people were nice and it seemed to go smoothly. When I got to the store the dryer was packaged up in clear cellophane. I could see the few scratches it had,,,,everything seemed ok. I went to pay for it and they rounded up to $450, I did not say anything, no big deal. The floor help was nice and helped me load the dryer and even got me extra cardboard to protect it. I got home and removed the cellophane and to my surprise my wife said it is used! There was lent in the trap. After removing the screen there was hair and dirt on the inside. This was a used dryer, not just a scratch and dent. The price I paid was for a brand new dryer with some scratches, this dryer should have been cheaper for having been used for no telling how long. I started my search last spring, bogged down by C19 availability, difficult communications.. etc. One of my chairs had a bent rocker arm and leg, don't know how that happened. But, here is where paying for quality pays off. Winston Patio were great and actually replaced the arm for nothing... in fact they ended up sending me several arms, just in case. Anyway, I eventually reached back out to Backyard, formerly Outside In Style, to check on availability of cushions. Surprisingly, Jamie our original sales rep replied quickly and we began getting this together. 8 Cushions and $2700 later, we ordered them. On July 29th. They arrived yesterday and got the call. During this time I had reached out to Jamie to check status and she always replied promptly and on point. The location is convenient for us, just off of 71, well marked. Massive show room with all kinds of stuff. The gentlemen who helped us load the cushions was extremely nice and helpful and even helped me troubleshoot the bent leg and fix. I would imagine you could find less expensive stuff at the big box stores, however, I would find it hard to believe the furniture would still be in as good nick as our Winston's have faired over the past 7yrs. We picked up covers this time around, which I would imagine will keep the cushions like new much longer.
