Over 20 years we have purchased several appliances from Lowes. When we needed a refrigerator, we went to Lowes since that is where we buy appliances. The delivery service they use got to the bottom of our driveway and refused to drive up the hill. It is a steep hill, 14% grade with gravel, but we get trucks up here regularly. So, what was Lowes response: we'll refund your money because we can't use any other delivery service, and they refuse to drive up our hill. So, if you need appliance delivery, do not go to this Lowes if you have a hill. Needless to say, we no longer will buy appliances from Lowes. For 20 years they did a good job, now they are managed by cost cutting idiots who contract with delivery companies that can't deliver. read more

I dont write reviews often. I was however impressed with your employee this peticular day. Labor day to be exact. I was in need of a few items and was having a hard time locating them. This employee Jason went well beyond helping me, and other shoppers too. I found him to be very knowledgeable and polite, and willing to help me as well as other shoppers I observed. This is your typical Lowe's home improvement store. It's been open a couple of years now an it looks as showroom new as it did the day it opened. I popped in here with my brother while running some errands and found what I wanted quickly. What was kinda shocking for the middle of a Saturday afternoon was that the place was all but deserted... So here I am walking around this giant warehouse, shiny new things all around me, and I'm feeling like I'm the only person there. Hey no complaints. Who wants to deal with crowds anyway. Like I said a moment ago, I found what I wanted quickly, a 38mm drill bit and couple of self closing cabinet hinges. I walked up to a self service checkout and was finished and out the door a moment later. It should always be this easy! read more

If you purchase anything from this store for delivery, be prepared for a HORRIBLE experience. What they say will happen (notifications, delivery updates, etc) will NOT happen. Told me my lawn tractor would definitely be delivered on Monday-so I waited around all day. When it never arrived, store said that it was unexpectedly "deleted" from delivery, but no one could tell me why or when it would be delivered. For days, the online "order status" continued to show Monday delivery (now days in the past!). Everyone I talked to at this store had a different story-almost entirely all WRONG. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. The customer service and Managers on duty at this location are the most unprofessional managers I have ever dealt with anywhere. We ordered new kitchen appliances Fridge, Stove and dishwasher on 11/24 and my cc was charged that very day. The appliances were supposed to come in by 12/14. They did not come in and we were told they were on back order and would come in 1/2/19. On 1/4 I called the store to find out they were not there still and would not be there for another 5 days...today 1/10/19 I call and get disconnected 3 times and told the items were not ordered on 11/24 but 1/1 and that they would not be in until sometime in 2/2019! I have no working fridge and there was no apologies for their incompetence. Plus the fact that $4100.00 was charged to my cc on 11/24/18. I highly recommend you buy your appliances elsewhere if you ever want to get them. read more

After living here a year and purchasing thousands of dollars in appliances and supplies at Lowes Avondale (there's not a lot of other options), I have to say I need a new option. Among other events, appliances have arrived dented or damaged, an installer told me a new Bosch dishwasher had been "altered" with wood screws. I was once offered a partial refund that the manager hoped I would forget about but after 5 weeks, and a bunch of phone calls, he followed through. I recently tried to buy a $2000 oven and the installer isn't sure if he can do it. Lowes doesn't bother to even let me know. "Hello, I am trying to buy an oven. Why are you not interested in this?" We've lived in several states and do a lot of home improvement and that gives me some perspective, having patronized MANY Lowes stores. That said, the employees are nice and helpful. Unfortunately, deficiencies exist regarding management, fulfillment, and customer service. This place is a joke. read more

Someone returned a grille. Lowes had it listed at $399 for the week because it was a return. When I went back to purchase it, it was lightly cleaned, and $399 price was now $499. I spoke to manager and the worker in that section. The worker in that section said the grille never had a that price. Very disappointed and very dishonest from Lowes manager and employee. What's worse is someone will buy a used grille at regular price. read more

I started out online to purchase a Hot Water Heater... played phone tag with the rep. Went to the local store with the intentions of buying a 50 Gallon Gas Water Heater and having it installed. Couldn't find a soul to help me make my purchase. When I couldn't get any help at the store I called the 1800 # while sitting in the store. I got someone on the phone. I selected the water heater I wanted. They quoted me on the installation and I was waiting for the final price when I got disconnected..... I called again... They couldn't find my quote so I had to start all over again. I get put on hold for another 10 mins. Finally they get back to me and say, "we are going to have to transfer you to get the price on the installation." Next thing you know the phone rings.....and rings and rings and rings. and someone from customer service of the store I was just in answers. I had no idea why or even where I was getting transferred. I told the person on the phone that I was trying to purchase a hot water heater. Their response.."hmmm I think that's plumbing. Let me transfer you there" Phone rang another 20+ times and then it bounces back to the first person. "Sorry no one is back there to answer the phone. Can I take a message?" I replied.... "Nope, I think I will be buying my hot water heater somewhere else" and I hung up. Terrible..... Could have had a $1000 sale. I am sure shareholders would not be happy with a story like this. Not the first problem I have had with them either. After three bathroom renovations, two Kitchens, two Laundry rooms as well as countless other appliances and projects I have done in the last 3 years, and literally well over $100k I have spent therein that time, I am officially done. I have been treated poorly for the last time. Home Depot is 5 miles further. I'm going there. read more

The worst experience with Lowe's and Graber blinds. Had 7 windows 1 french door which has 2 panels. I PAY DEC.11 contractor comes feb. 1 to install, all good, but only 1 side of french door (which is broken) was there. Had to go back to Lowe's 4 times for some confusion on the order as i explain each time. Months go by no word, go back to Lowe's in April we call Graber they said oh did the contractor not call you? "really" they forgot me or didn't care! contractor calls says i need to come out and replace broken panel. no other panel. now they say i need to pay for other side of french door. OVER FOUR MONTHS with broken plantation blind and other side missing. Lowe's and Graber say it's my fault. YOU NEED TO PAY! No, thanks !!!! read more

I visited your Lowes store in Avondale, PA located on Hepburn Road on Saturday, October 7, 2017, and Sunday, October 8, 2017. I went to the store to look at carpeting for my family room. this was to be a substantial purchase as our family room is over 50 square yards. The purchase would be close to $1500.00. My daughter and I went to the flooring department on Saturday, October 14, 2017, around 6 pm. There was a young man in the department and I asked if he could help me with the carpeting. He wanted to know what my question was. I showed him two samples of carpeting and I wanted to ask him about the quality, the padding, and the cost. He then said he couldn't help me and I would need to wait for a woman who was working in the department. I asked the woman if she could help me and she told me she had to wait on another customer and that I could take the sample books to bring them home, but I had better return them. My daughter and I left the store with the carpet books and no sales assistance. My husband and I returned to the store on Sunday, October 8th at about 5 pm. We had selected carpet and wanted to find out the cost and information on the padding needed. We went to the flooring department and again that young man was there. He asked if he could help me and I explained to him that we had selected carpet and needed additional information. He again said he could not help me and I would need to wait for another woman to help me. We waited about 20 minutes and she was finally able to help us. We showed her the carpeting we selected and we told her the room was about 50 square yards and we wanted to know the cost. She told us her calculator was missing and couldn't figure out the cost. My husband ended up pulling out his phone to figure it out. We then asked about padding and again she said she couldn't figure out the cost. she arranged to have someone come and measure our room and she said to scan the slip for the order to measure my carpet and it would ring up for one penny but the cashier would credit the penny. I bought the slip to the register and when it rang up for a penny I asked the cashier to remove the penny and she said that she did not know how so I ended up paying the penny as I could not deal with any more untrained, unprofessional and indifferent employees. On that same visit, we bought a floor lamp and the lamp was on sale for $79.99. The lamp rang up $89.99 so my husband explained to the cashier that it was on sale. The cashier got an employee and my husband brought him to the lamp and the sales sign and the employee said it was not the same lamp even though the make, model and serial number where exactly the same as the one on sale. After arguing with the employee he finally agreed to give us a credit of $10.00. To say this was the worst customer service we have ever experienced is an understatement. I have never been so upset or treated so poorly. I called the store manager on Tuesday morning and left a message but I never received a return telephone call. I called the store back again on Friday morning and again on Tuesday evening October 17, 2017, and never once received a return telephone call from a store manager. It is no wonder that the store employees are untrained and unprofessional because they take their cue from management and I called the store manager on three separate occasions and I never even received one return telephone call!! read more

I contracted with Lowes of Avondale to install tile in my kitchen and bathroom, paid the $4000 bill in full in late June for a July installation. The installer that came to my house to complete my job did not follow the specifications on the manufacturer instructions, broke my toilet in the process and finished the job with such crooked, sloppy grout lines and molding that look absolutely horrible. The Lowes contractor and a Lowes representative visited my house to look at the job and after arguing with me for over 1/2 hr about the quality of his installers, finally reviewed the work that was complete and determined that the whole job needed to be ripped out and re-installed. This incident was close to 2 months ago, many, many calls to Lowes store management and Corporate CustomerCare line and still no resolution to my floor or repair to the broken toilet. Despite being told by Lowes store management that I would be "compensated" for my troubles and time taken off of work, no one higher than the Store Assistant manager will return my calls to provide the details on how it will be resolved. Just a warning to be very careful when contracting jobs with Lowes. This is the perfect example of how big corporations take advantage of consumers. Please be very careful when using this store for installation projects! read more
