Worst customer service: our company has an LAR (Lowe's Accounts Receivable) account, and we use Lowe's as our primary vendor for hardware supplies in four counties; but not Bakersfield, I told my guys to go to Home Depot. I told my employee to let the cashier know that we have an LAR account; she wouldn't even help him. When I told him to ask her to call her manager so I can speak to them. She walked away and never came back. I told him to go to the nearest Home Depot. This Lowe's has lost our business. read more

Very happy with Lowe's today... Went in as I was missing some parts to a park bench I had bought there . Had no problem getting someone to help me, or the parts I needed without any issues... Decided to walk through the gardening area, and found the perfect bird of paradise I was looking for! But there were a a couple pallets of wood in front of them, so I couldn't get to it. It was no problem for them to move the pallets and pull out the bird of paradise for me. And to top it off, they were on sale! Yeah sale find!!! They even insisted on br8nging it up to the cashier and helping me load it in the car... I have to say this is the first time I've been to Lowe's and have had such great customer service! I hope they keep this level of service up... Will definitely come here again for more flowers, plants, patio, and house upkeep items. read more

We asked a few questions about paint and what they would recommend for painting our cabinets. They were very friendly and helpful, offering recommendations and answering any questions we had. The Company I work for had been a loyal Lowe's customer for years. Only purchasing Items/products from Lowe's and because of that we have a Lowes Pro member credit card and offers us 10% discount on all our purchase. Of all the years that I have place orders from Lowe's at the pro desk I have never once had a problem with my order from Lowe's Store on Rosedale Hwy and Colony. I place and order for Rubbermaid Brute Trash cans at Lowe's on 1601 Columbus St Bakersfield, ca 93305 because the other 2 Lowes on rosedale and colony was out of stock and Columbus had some in stock. I called and the employee that help me at the Pro Deck told me they had a few in stock but they have to order the rest and they will notify me once it arrives. I was ok with that since I have done this before with the other Lowe's I places the order on 02/08/2022 and I was told that within a week I will get a call that my Items would be ready for pickup. I was invoice 42.20 each brute trash can and I place and order of 12. almost 3 weeks pass it now now 02/25/2022 I get a bill from Lowe's for the invoice of 12 brute trash cans I did not get yet and was no notified if it was there. I call Lowe's On Columbus and the person that helped me was not there but another pro staff member was there to help me. She (this time was a female pro staff member) told me that told me that brute trash cans were brought up to the pro area but its not there and after several holds. The lady told me that my items was not there yet and that she can not look up where the item is and only the original person who helped me can tell me where the item is at. I called Lowe's Corporate so that they can better help me because its been almost 3 weeks they couldn't help me with any information about my items that i was billed for. Corporate told me that the problem was with the vender and that the vender did not accept the amount because the vender wanted 51.25 per trash bin, but I already paid 42.20 each and I have a bill to prove it. The Original Person that Helped me at the columbus lowe's told me the new price and how I was going to pay for it. I told him that it was not fair I already paid for the trash bind and your making me pay more for it. He told me that he was going to talk to his manager and see if they can honor the original price and take the lose on the differnce. I later got an email where they voided my old invoice and sent me a new invoice that they place an order for the rubbermaid brute trash cans with the new price and I was discounted the difference so that they can honor my original price and time and date to pick up was 03/02/2022. on 03/01/2022 I get a call from one of the people helping me at the Lowe's on Columbus telling me that the vender will not send them the item and that they don't know when they will get the item in. This is a load of crap. the Item was already paid for. Why won't the vender send it to them? if it's already paid for. They didn't know want to eat the lost so they made up some stupid story that the vender will not send them the item. Lowe's wants to sell me there brute trash can for $51.25 each and I found out That Home Depot has the same trash cans for $40.97 and they have the amount that I need in stock. I'm very disappointed with how lowes handled this. if they couldn't get the items I should have gotten a call so that we could have check to see what was my options, but unfortunately nothing was done. I had an appointment today at 2pm to begin designing a kitchen remodel. I sat at the desk in the appropriate area for my appointment No one was here. At 2:09pm I asked another associate about my appointment and she suggested that the associate I was to meet was probably home for the day but she would check. It is now 2:20 pm and nobody from the store has been to see me. I fear this is a red flag. Imagine if I had already started investing into this project and the representatives from Lowe's forget me or are difficult to contact. Right now, I have no intent of risking money at business that forgets/ignores my appointment. 2:25 and no contact from the associates. On my way out of the store I spoke to a manager I was told what I should have done differently I'm offended. The first words to try to correct the mistake were to tell me what I should have done Management needs to try to help customers instead of blame them. Update: Manager 1: you should have... Manager 2: go back to his desk and wait... Associate: I'm sorry Guess which comment brought my review from one star to three stars and which comments prevented any more stars at this time The managers interrupted me a few times while trying to "fix" the problem and that added to my frustration. Customer service is great when they're trying to sell you something, but then the fridge dies completely 15 months later. When you try to go speak to them about it, the manager on duty talks down to you in a manner so condescending, he makes the decision for you to never spend a dime with Lowe's again. Thanks for nothing, store staff. We'll sit without a refrigerator for 10 days while your "EPP" (Lowe's term for an extended warranty) pretends to give a crap and take care of the problem. Oh, but we get $300 in lost grocery benefit? What about all the time off work I've had to take to deal with store staff, warranty customer service and repair technicians at the house? Or the fact that $300 doesn't begin to cover the lost groceries, let alone the money we've had to spend to keep food in our systems when we have no storage at home. Was sent to this store from the Rosedale one because their delivery timeframe was more favorable to what I was looking for. I had already done my shopping and research on the HE dryer that I was purchasing for my Mother. Upon arrival, I applied for a lowe's credit card which was short and painless. I headed over to the appliance center which was completely deserted. I pushed the "need help" button and a random guy from the lighting department came to "help". I told him I already knew what I wanted and that I was just there to make the purchase. He didn't seem like he really knew what he was doing, so I asked him if there was anybody around that actually works in that department. He said no that that person was on lunch. He didn't offer or ask if I needed the dryer installation kit, I had to bring up the subject, he seemed irritated that I was trying to make sure I was purchasing everything I needed to install the gas dryer. Another employee came over and told him that he needed to physically go check the back room to make sure my items were in stock, and after waiting what seemed to be an eternity, he came back and said one of the items was out of stock. By this time I was far too irritated (since the Rosedale store called beforehand and they told us they did have the items in stock) so I told him to cancel the whole thing and left. I ended up buying the dryer, pedestal, installation accessories (total $1,200) and set up the delivery from best buy online and avoided hassling with incompetent employees. read more

we came here looking for oleander plants. We bought 4 and to our surprise, they were marked 50% off. So upon checking out, the cashier rang them up at regular price. My husband said no, the sign says 50% discount. In fact the label right on the plant was marked 50% off with correct price written for anyone to see. The cashier just gave him a blank stare and said go in there and just pointed towards the main building. She did not apologize and in fact said nothing to us. We promptly reported her to the management inside. At least they were interested and wanted to know exactly who had waited on us. Hopefully, they can let her go. Having these kind of rude and incompetent people working for them is no doubt hurting their business. Still we are kind of leery about going back there. We have heard other people complain about this store and claim they had similar experiences with rude customer service. We think we will wait a long time before going back, if ever. read more

Lowe's is a great hardware store, but do not expect good customer service. Maybe I went in on one of those days, but wow... I do not expect representatives to go up and beyond to help customers with a smiling face, but in my opinion, they should at least do their jobs. Or try to help. My visit was going pretty well until I made it to the register. The cashier, Mariah M, was incredibly awkward. She seemed to not understand that the two barcodes were supposed to be scanned. No communication; I had no idea what was going on at the time. I feel like if she let me know what was going on, I may have given her a response that could have made everything go smoother. She called the manager over. While we waited for a verification, Mariah stayed on the phone and rolled her eyes at me. I suppose I WAS being rude for standing quietly and trying to get a quick glimpse at the screen. (I was curious.) I was pretty sure it was going to take a while, so I asked the two customers behind me to go ahead, since the cashier was obviously not managing her time well. The manager came eight minutes later and gave her a curt response before she hurried off. Mariah just stood there and got on the phone again. So after she scanned both items, I paid and she seemed relieved to have me get away from her register. She had absolutely NO words for me. It was awkward and it took a LOT longer than it should have. Mariah M, use your words. Some phrases you could have used: "Hello." "Give me a moment, I need to check something." "One minute." "This might take a while. Would it be okay if I take care of the guy behind you? I'm just waiting for an answer." I should have just called the store to leave a comment about the service, but judging from how the manager helped...I think leaving a comment on Yelp might be better. ------- Anyway, to recap...good store but do not expect good customer service. read more

Congratulations, Eastside Lowe's, you've managed the impossible:your management is actually worse than Sear's (and we all know how THEY'RE faring)! Bought a dryer in late November, was told it would be delivered the next day. Nothing as of 3pm so I called the store. Sorry, an error was made, my dryer would NOT be delivered as promised. Let's see, no deliveries over the week-end and Lowe's stops delivering on Mondays at 2pm. Let's try Tuesday, shall we? Someone called that morning and said delivery would be made Tuesday between 3-6pm. Guess what? No call, no show. When I stepped out, they attempted delivery at 7:15pm. Ugh. I cancelled the order and said I'd be in for a refund. When I arrived there today, I was told my money had already been refunded!! Gee, that was news to me! Where was the signed acknowledgement slip saying I'd received the refund? Well, 20 minutes later the problem was solved: my order was under the last name of 'Martin', not even CLOSE to my last name! I have had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with installing my dishwasher via the Rosedale Highway Lowe's. The guy who came out to install my dishwasher did not install it, charged me an additional $90, and disabled my garbage disposal. When I tried to handwash my dishes after he left, the pipes--which he had loosened but not tightened, leaked water all over the place. I think the installation guy had no clear idea of what he was doing, and certainly was not a plumber or an expert, and he left a clamp on a hose off after he messed around with my pipes--which I think was what was causing the problem! I called the guy's boss, and he HUNG UP ON ME! When I called Lowe's Installation to complain, the woman was an advocate for the contractor who came to install my dishwasher, but didn't. She was RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. I called Corporate to complain, and Corporate was very helpful, but the manager seemed not to care what was going on. I was just annoying, and he acted like it wasn't his problem what was going on. Tell me how I pay about $1,300 to Lowe's Rosedale Highway for a dishwasher/installation, and my kitchen is left a disaster? And ... the customer service at Corporate Lowe's, when they talked to installation at Lowe's Rosedale Highway, said the personnel there were actually rude to her! Can you imagine? I didn't even know what type I needed, but Wanda was so helpful she took the time to go out of her way and research what type of brackets I needed and had them sent to my house. Lowes advertises great service and great prices and does not own up to their promises. Their delivery is worse. The multi-level pass the buck system only works to serve Lowes and Not the customer. If you order online; they pass the buck to the closest store. Just so, a local manager can feed you the same policy. What is the point of ordering online? Blowes has become the wal-fart of the hardware world... The worst 3rd or 4th party logistics company in existence. It takes a huge effort to suck this badly. The logistics portion is in question too. Are they even allowed to say something is in stock online if, they don't even own the product yet? It's better if Blowes just gives out the number for their 3pL that they call vendors because it'd cut the product delivery time to a week and not two-3. Or if they changed their name to Blowes!
