I recently stopped by here for an emergency Home Project. I also had a gift card and this was the closest location from my house. This place was absolutely huge and there's staff that actually wants to help me out. I found exactly what I was looking for and some of the stuff that I was looking for like wood screws and a fence mender were on sale for a good price. The restrooms were a bit strange because none of the bathroom stalls closed you have to pick up the door to lock it. plenty of parking in the parking lot and there's easy access to the street as plenty of parking in the parking lot and there's easy access to Weber Road as well. Aisles are clean and well organized. It's always quick to check out as well upon leaving the store. read more

had a bad experience with a microwave install where tech could not only not install it but also ruined cabinets in process of trying to, called into Bolingbrook store where we purchased and spoke to assistant store manager mark where he gave us guidance on our options to remedy the problem, he was prompt and very respectful, and also went above and beyond to make sure everything was resolved. Went to Lowe's on Tuesday AM to look at the indoor plants section. I saw that a new shipment came in and decided to peek through the hole where the handle is to lift the box, a Lowe's employee (white older woman with short curly hair and wore glasses) who was in charge of the department for the day decided to yell rudely from 15-20 feet away asking me if I needed help with something. I kindly said no, just peeking (which I had trouble seeing anything anyway). She didn't say anything and just gave a snarky look. Maybe she should look for another job that's not in the customer service industry because apparently she thinks that it's okay to yell almost 20 feet away to a customer and with a nasty tone. read more

BE HANDY, MAN Finish projects to improve your home with supplies from this large hardware retailer. The Lowe's in Bolingbrook is right off of Weber Road, 1 mile south of Boughton. I found it strange at first that Home Depot is so close by, like do we really need TWO home improvement stores so close to one another? Then I thought about all the street intersections that have multiple gas stations and remembered that competition fuels business. On a visit earlier this summer I recall waiting in a long line at the checkout counter because only 1-2 registers were open on a Saturday in July (essentially their peak season). I heard a bunch of customers grumbling to themselves and even a few wondering out loud "why don't they open another register?" This was a bad look for Lowe's on our first trip. I recently placed two online orders with in-store pickup: a 2pk of furnace filters and a hideaway hose reel. The filters were shipped to the store in a humongous box, which was awkward when the guy behind the pickup counter tried to hand it over. The hose reel arrived a week later and the box was badly damaged where the handholds were, so I had to carry it from the bottom. Following-up with online order status was a headache. The day my stuff was supposed to arrive, I called to check on its status. The phone rang 10-15 times, after which I was promptly put on hold. I spoke to several different people before being put on hold AGAIN and finally told "yeah it's gonna be a few days late". I could've done without being bounced around like that. * TL;DR * If it moves, but it shouldn't -- use duct tape. If it doesn't move, but it should -- use WD-40. Or a cattle prod. My experiences at this Lowe's have boiled down to a single emotion, one of mild frustration. Despite a kind, apologetic gentlemen working the pickup counter on 9/23/20, he can't offset the other three times when customer service was lacking. My incompetent husband and I went here for the first time and were so impressed with the customer service. We usually shop at Home Depot since we have 2 within a 5 mile radius so they are more conveniently located. However we are willing to go out of our way due to their unbelievable service. While we were there we had no less then 10 different workers ask if we needed help and had at least 6 workers that took the time to help us with our never ending questions. They were attentive and patient with our lack of knowledge. read more

I purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher from Lowe's and the refrigerator installers gave me a bit of a hassle. They said they couldn't install my fridge because there was no shut off behind the refrigerator. I said no problem and proceeded to disconnect it myself which literally took all off an extra 2 mins in which they could've started in packaging the new refrigerator but instead the delivery driver stood there staring at me telling me how I should really just wait and have a plumber do it etc. I undid it, the delivered and hauled away the old refrigerator then we paid $175 for the plumbing company my husband works for to screw it back on. He told me I would've been fine to do it myself but the delivery driver insisted it needed to be a plumber. Then the dishwasher took longer than quoted to arrive and the installer from Boss Installations who has a 2 star rating called me today and was super rude. I spoke with Ian and Matt from Lowe's today and I was told their probably isn't another company they use to do dishwasher installs (didn't verify this) and they did offer to refund the fee for my husbands company to do it but we've decided to cancel the dishwasher and take our money elsewhere as it has been a bad experience from the start so no need to give them more of our hard earned money and have to pickup the dishwasher ourselves when we can just shop elsewhere. This isn't our first appliance rodeo. We have rental properties and have purchases and had several appliance delivered and or installed. I just thought we'd give Lowe's a shot. BTW, Sharon in the window treatment department at the Bolingbrook, IL is equally terrific. We like the other home improvement retailers but we love Lowe's, primarily for their people. So this is some of the crap that they're selling at the Lowe's on Weber Road in Bolingbrook right now. And these were the ones that were the best out of the bunch. But it was all they had at the low price point that I was looking for so I asked if they could call a manager if they could do a substantial discount. They offered 10% off. Are you kidding me? I could do better at a yard sale. These are broken and falling apart and look like they have been out in the elements for like at least a couple years. So I asked for a different manager and a nice young girl came up and we agreed on $5. She said the rest of them she's going to damage out. So that was very nice. But I'm surprised they even put these out to sell. Then the next thing I try to use a gift card that I got for a return for something and they asked for my driver's license at the same time which was weird. And she said they wouldn't accept it because the driver's license doesn't match the card. Oh my gosh. I do have friends that I share errands with but they said I needed the driver's license of the person that returned it. Well if it wasn't me I have no idea who it was. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. So again I ask for a manager and I think his name was Steve. He handled it for me. He was awesome. This is what customer service should be like. You are supposed to service the customer. Anyway the day was saved but only because I had to keep pushing it. What a horrible world that we have to do that. In my 40 Years of customer service I am so proud to say that I took care of my clients and I benefited my company. I recommend going to this Lowe's, they are very helpful, but I bought a stove and their installers " CRST " really were horrible they couldn't find my stove and when I called to find out what was going on they kept passing the buck and not getting back to me, they even gave me an install date, well guess what nobody showed up or called, when I called they acted like they knew nothing about the order. The next day I went to the Lowe's where I bought the stove, after explaining the situation to a couple of associates they got Matt at the store to look into this, he found the problem and knew that " CRST " was having problems, Matt fixed everything he was awesome and he set up delivery for the next day, sure enough my stove arrived the next and was installed and now we are enjoying a new stove, but I'm still not happy with the whole " CRST " experience, I hope I never have to deal with them again, especially since I love going to Lowe's and purchasing their products, I would say to you check and find out who is delivering or installing the products you purchase at Lowe's. read more

Horrible customer service. One star because they carried the appliance we wanted. If you want to return an appliance to the store (even within the 48 hour window return window) they charge a 20% re stocking fee. If you refuse they won't take it back at the store. They make you call the Lowe's customer service (3 hour wait), then they call back to let you know if you get a full refund. Then a random company came to pick it up at our home. They asked me for jumper cables because their truck died in front of my house. The truck was marked with some random architectural company. We will NEVER shop at Lowe's again. read more

They are impossible to get ahold of over the phone, unless you call customer care and they call for you. To keep things short, I highly encourage everyone else to save your time and avoid this store. Ordered a microwave on 4/11 (about) and was supposed to be delivered to store 4/22. My husband and I did not get a call but showed up while running errands. The microwave was delayed until 4/25. We then showed up on 4/25 and were told it was delayed until 5/4. The point of us ordering when we did was we were moving to the city so wanted to pick it up and move /install before our goods were shipped from Bolingbrook to Chicago. So, Lowe's said they would deliver to our new address since we would be there that weekend. We didn't receive a call on 5/4 as to when the microwave would arrive on 5/5- therefore we were out and about and the delivery came and went. Finally if arrived on 5/6. We also ordered flooring to be delivered on 5/6 and each took a day off from work to be there and move it upstairs as Lowe's would only drop off in the lobby. As with most other customers we have busy schedules and had to make sure we worked around this. We called the morning of as we had not received a call to find out the flooring was delayed with no eta at the time. Issue 1- communication must improve. We are customers that were potentially looking to buy items for a complete renovation of our new home but now reconsidering. If we schedule our time around a scheduled appointment there should not be a change or at least a phone call in the small chance there is. Issue 2- we spoke with a manager, Tiffany, who stated she would call us back with updates but yet had an employee call us instead. If you have the title of manager then you need to be the face and contact the customer yourself. At this time we're deciding on if to continue our business with Lowe's or just move over to a competitor who would be more capable of keeping its word. It's a shame that we cant count on this large corporation to have logistics in order so that customers don't have to be inconvenienced. Someone finally called about floor delivery and asked when we would like the delivery. We asked for Thursday afternoon and were told they would need to check if that was possible. I'm sorry but you've already wasted our time so at this point the delivery and install is on our time, not yours. Figure it out Lowe's. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never have them install flooring. They use a 3rd party, ULTIMATE HOME SERVICES. Who did a horrible job. Even though we got a warranty on them.. took over a year back and forth between Lowes, CORP, and the 3rd party for someone to fix them. We have voicemails, Emails, multiple calls to prove us trying to get someone to fix them. Once the year was up, they said they can no longer do anything for us! Matt Aguilar was AGM was no help. Our refrigerator died on Sunday, April 19, 2020. We needed a new fridge asap. We ordered (and paid for) a Whirlpool fridge online from the Bolingbrook store. We received an email saying they received our order and we'd get a phone call telling us when to expect a phone call about delivery. No phone call was forthcoming. On Weds, April 22, I called the Bolingbrook store, and after 10 minutes of phone gymnastics of my call being bounced back and forth to different people, I finally landed with someone who explained that my order was a "Special Order" that would take two weeks to get to the store. I had no communication after I ordered and paid for the fridge, telling me any of this. Bottomline, I wasted 3 days days. I cannot recommend Lowe's, their customer care is horrible, and I'll NEVER shop there again. read more

I can't express enough how disappointed I am with the negligent customer service at Lowe's. I spent a lot of money buying Kitchen cabinets, appliances and countertops yet, they cant install a countertop correctly. The first countertop delivered was not only defective but, the incorrect slab and the second has the incorrect sink. After speaking with customer service and providing them a copy of the quote, drawings and receipt from the store, I am still waiting for closure. Rachelle Young from Countertop Escalations Team informed me a week ago that she would be right back to me and has not. I have been working with her doe now going on three week. Absolutely horrible! After spending over $10,000 on appliances the shelf to the fridge broke not their fault but when I went to the same store I purchased everything from for some assistance customer service sent me to appliances before I could even finish telling them my issue the appliances told me to call the manufacturer for assistance. Just some common sense people listen to the customer and their concerns then try to help them. That's all I wanted even if they didn't have the parts at their store they could have assisted me with a few phone calls or web searches. It's not like the were swamped with customers, I could have done what you recommended at home but I thought since they did this for a living it would have been much quicker and less stressful. No wonder the Home Depot's much busier than Lowes. Get it together or you won't be in business for much longer. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I ordered a washer online on 4/3/19. Had to change the delivery date to 4/5. After being on hold and disconnected twice, 17 minutes later I got to talk to an associate. 4/4...Get a call at 6:59pm from 201-778-0845 THEIR DELIVERY NUMBER, regarding delivery window from 10:30am-2:30pm for Friday 4/5. 4/5...It is now 4:15pm and NO DELIVERY! I called the 800 number, on hold for 24 minutes and got disconnected. I called the store to find out what is going on...on hold for 10 minutes, got disconnected (wow, what a surprise there). Store manager calls me back regarding my issue. Tells me they did not receive payment...even tho I HAVE CONFIRMATION EMAIL and on bank statement...charged me on 4/3 and find extra charges of $56.88 and $3.99 today 4/5! So...not only did I have the worst experience, my credit card number was stolen! This is by far the worst customer service ever from a company. Stay away from Lowe's! read more

I came here with my 2 sons for the monster truck workshop. My sons are 6 and 10 and they both enjoyed it. They provide the children with a monster truck kit, apron and goggles. There are several tables set up with little hammers for the kids to use for their project. It was perfect for my 10 year old to do on his own with little guidance and my 6 year old was able to do most of the work with my direction. It was a great quick free activity to do with the kids. I was looking online for an accessory for my Weber grill and followed a link for 'where to buy' and saw that Lowe's had it in stock. Great! I jump in my car and drive there (half an hour at least) and find out they don't even have it in the system (5 Star P.O.'d). Wasted an hour and a half on my Saturday morning. Thanks Lowes! The floor person was very nice and tried to help, which I appreciate, but I was still unhappy with the experience. As an aside, they had a pretty poor selection of Weber Grill accessories. Wannemaker's in Downers Grove was much better but did not have what I was looking for. At least the didn't try to fool me with some clever online pop ad. In fairness, I have found that Wal-Mart and Home Depot do the same thing where they say online they have something and don't even stock it at the nearby store. read more

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM THIS STORE!! I purchased a refrigerator (to be referred to as "item" here-forth) from the Bolingbrook store in IL and have encountered so many issues that I am surprised Lowes is still in business! The following are all of the problems I had to endure: 1. I purchased the item on Aug 1st and was told by the sales person that it would be delivered within 7-10 days and I didn't have it in my possession until this morning, Aug 17th, 17 days later. 2. I had been very specific, since I was told by Lowes that my item would be delivered on Aug 16th (day prior to actual delivery), that I would not be available on the morning of the 16th but rather in the evening and they stated that they would communicate that to the delivery company. Despite that fact, the delivery company attempted to deliver in the morning. I had to call Steve the store manager multiple times to sort this out on the 16th however he was unable to persuade the delivery company to deliver on the promised date. I was however, credited $50 and promised the first delivery the next day (Aug 17th) for the inconvenience, which I do appreciate. 3. The following day the item arrived first thing in the morning as promised and the delivery guys were very polite. However once they left I had noticed that one of the fridge doors were installed in a manner where one of the doors was taller than the other. I called the Lowes Store once again and spoke to a store manager, Samanthia, to see if she could have somebody come take a look at fixing the doors. When I asked for the GM's number she told me that I should wait until she tries to solve the issue before escalating,which I was naive enough to accept. I should have known better. Well the manager never called me back and now I found out that the ice maker was leaking. So I called the next day, Aug 18th, and got a hold of another store manager named John. It was very apparent that none of the managers talk to each other, keep logs of daily store event, or do any type of shift hand off. John had to call me back so he can figure out what was going on, since he was so confused and uninformed. He finally called me back and stated that he would have a brand new fridge delivered the next day and take another $50 off. At this point, I had to take Monday off and now I'd have to take Wednesday off and spending all this time off was costing me a lot of money. I was furious at this point and told John that he would have to do better. So he finally agreed to credit another $198 (odd number) and I agreed. At the end of the day l, they are fixing the issue but this is definitely the worst service I have ever received! I have purchased refrigerators before and it was not anywhere near as difficult as my experience with Lowes. I wasted my work Paid Time Off and hours of my life on the phone between Lowes and XPO delivery; hours I can't get back and shouldn't have spent. On top of that I even contacted Corporate and they never bother to contact me back regarding this.... John, the last manager, is the only on who did his job and he's the assistant manager on top of that...this probably means that he should be promoted and replace one of the other managers that attempted to assist me. I am military veteran of eight faithful years of service to my country and do not appreciate being treated this way. read more

I don't have a Lowe's near me but the drive is worth it. I am very impressed with the wide array of choices they offer on most of their items. This is often the problem I run into in other home improvement stores, they have mailboxes but my choices are only black or white & chances are, they are out of one of them. At Lowe's a whole aisle of choices for thousands of in stock items. Another quality I like is that the appliance sales team works on commission & are extremely educated on what they are selling, and do so with confidence not muscle. At other stores, they only seem to have memorized the tag, and I can do that myself. We recently purchased a washer & dryer from Rob & will refer friends to him & the store in general. The final & most impressive quality is when upon check out, you will notice that they do not have self checkout machines. I never use them at other stores because I believe that having those machines, takes a job away from someone. The clerk naturally agreed. With most big box stores I can feel the headache brewing in the parking lot but Lowe's seems different. The store & the people have a noticeable air of contentment and an attitude that inspires confidence & that is worth the drive. read more

In June 2020, I bought my stock patio sliding and screen Pella door from Lowe's. I normally don't go through big box store contractors, but decided to try Lowe's in Bolingbrook since they offered no tax if I purchased the installation. Waiting two weeks for install, sliding door arrived damaged and the contractor could not install. Installer had another job on his schedule and set me up for a different day. A week later he installed the sliding door, but now had to wait for screen door. I was scheduled 3 weeks later to get my screen door install on 7/23, the installer didn't show up and didn't call. I spoke to Mike in Millwork Dept and he called the installer, they rescheduled for 7/30. Installer shows up with a damaged screen door. Beyond my frustration I called Mike who stated that he would escalate my replacement screen door from Pella. Spoke to Mike on 8/14, I was informed my screen door would arrive on 8/28, and then I still have to wait for installer to schedule to install. At this pace, I may be able to enjoy my screen door in the middle of winter. This has been a horrible experience and will never again go through Lowe's for any home improvement. read more

The cashier, Jake, was also very kind and overall it was a great experience because of these two young gentleman! In December we ordered French doors to replace our sliding patio doors, and a nice front door and service door for our garage along with storm doors. Ove $5000 spent, Being winter we understood once the doors were ready a lot would depend on weather for installation. We finally got a call that Chuck would be out to install the doors. They installed the Front door and service door, but they broke the French doors so that had to be reordered. Ok, accidents happen. We are all human. The day finally came for the French door to be installed in May. Yes, 6 months later , but at least the day has arrived, Door was installed without the screen door. They would bring that when they get t. There was a problem with the size. This is the end of June and we are still waiting. We cannot even enjoy the decent weather with the door open because we have no screen. Wee have talked to so many people since the beginning of the problems and all we've ben told is a bunch of lies. We keep hearing that someone will call us to get this all solved and NOBODY has called us. Two different corporate employees have said this and it's been over 2 weeks and we are still waiting. We went with Lowes because of the Veterans discount and believed they were an honorable place to do business with, but we were so wrong! We are at a loss now as to how we can get this finished. The top of the door is so tight we have to push because it is scrapping from not being squared. We will no longer purchase from Lowes and will make sure all of our family and friends know of this situation. I wonder what happens with our warranty since they cannot even get it done properly in the first place. read more

If you ever want to be treated like a queen (or king!) stop in FIRST at the PAINT Department! With winter fast approaching I figured it was time to stain my deck and get rid of the wasp nest that suddenly appeared hanging off of the railing. I made a quick but necessary stop in to Lowe's and made my way toward the Paint Dept. As I approached a smiley middle-aged Asian man offered his help and pointed to toward the correct aisle saying, "If you need any help let me know." Within a few steps I rounded the corner and heard ANOTHER smiley young female employee with curly-ish hair, "Can I help you???" I told her what I wanted and she immediately showed me what I was looking for. Furthermore, she immediately removed the 5 GALLON can from the shelf and loaded it up on my cart for me! I was impressed! Was it heavy? YES! But obviously she had no problems lifting the baby and transporting it over to mix it with my requested color. Meanwhile we had a discussion about my needing anything else and she revealed she also works in the Garden Dept. Score! I told her about my unwanted wasp nest and she immediately brought me over to the Garden Center where she showed me the display of bug sprays. She also told me about her wasp problem and indicated the one that she used, how she found it very effective and would spray from 20 feet out and run away like crazy! BINGO! (It worked just like she said it would!) She got the can for me, also happened to be a sale item, and we were back to the Paint Dept to retrieve my now-ready deck stain. I purchased my goods and again had a very strong and smiley employee help me place my items in my car. Needless to say I never had to lift a finger or lift a very heavy object. The employees were friendly and extremely knowledgeable and I was made to feel like a queen! Thanks LOWE'S for an awesome experience. It's not everyday that I shop for paint & bug spray, and it's not everyday that I'm made to feel like royalty too! read more

We ordered deck boards and new railings/balusters for deck redo. The store was given very specific measurements and yet we are 5 boards short for the flooring and 1 railing /20 balusters short. The store was of no assistance. We ended up ordering a different style of flooring as we currently have a large gap in our deck. I ended up ordering the balusters from a different store, paid another $59 delivery charge and was just told the store actually doesn't have them in stock and I will get my money back in a couple days. So not only do I not have my balusters, but Lowes is now holding the money to by them somewhere else hostage. We spent almost $5000 at this store in the last couple of months and they will never get another dime from me. I will drive to another town. read more
