Was at a Lowe's in the burbs and special ordered an oval shower curtain rod which was delivered to our door a week later. It disappointingly turned out to be an over priced flimsy product, so i took it to the store on 83rd for a return. The manager told me that i would have to go back to the store i purchased it from. Needless to say the conversation went south from there, i kept emphasizing the fact that both stores are the same store in that they are both Lowe's to which he kept replying that they were two distinctively different stores. I dug my heels in the ground and said i wasn't leaving until he at least gave me a store credit which he eventually reluctantly did. As for the rest of the store's personnel they have all been great, which is why i keep coming back. Whereas everyone i've ever encountered at the Home Depot on 87th act as if they'd rather be somewhere else. read more

The customer service is really really bad there. I purchased the washer and dryer online, and get the hookup service from this local store, then there is sth wrong with the installation for the washing machine. I called for customer care and local store manager for so many times continuously for two days. There is no response or callback as promised. I felt extremely disappointed with my first purchase from LOWES. Finally, I call the LOWES customer care 1-800-445-6937 for complaint, and spoke a really nice lady fortunately, helping me out in the end....... read more

We recently purchased several major appliances from this location: gas stove, LG washer and dryer. We had no problems with delivery and installation with the exception of the gas stove which was missing a separate item ordered but not delivered so we just went ahead and used the existing metal tubing and got a refund from the store (by phone.) They do seem to be short on staff at times, but everyone we have dealt with have been friendly and helpful. read more

I cannot give them more then 3 stars because although the people there are friendly, try finding them when you need help...nearly impossible!!! I cannot believe that every associate is that busy that they aren't visible on the floor and if you do happen to catch a glimpse of a cust serv person, you literally have to run full speed to catch them. Now here is the kicker, when you catch them, they may or may not have the actually knowledge needed to help you which inevitably ends in a statement similar to "Um, I just started, let me find someone who can help you"...HUH!!!!!! read more

I thought Lowes would be better than Home Depot, but it is filled with incompetent managers and employees who hate their jobs. I ordered an installation for my gutters and one month later still no gutters. They use only one contract installer for their installations. Of course, the installer's customer service suffers for this. There is no communication between installer and customers so you sit and wait hoping they show up. They didn't after three chances. I just asked for my refund. Many of these business on the south side treat their customers with sub par service. Start complaining and demand better. Now I will be going to a home improvement store up north where most likely I will have better service. read more

I had a question about square footage and the cost of the tile I was interested in, the young man took out his calculator and helped without question or concern. I went to this store for a window estimate and ended up being blessed beyond my wildest dreams! The specialist who came out to my home, Samuel Moore, was AMAZING!!! He not only helped me get an incredible deal on windows for my home, but went above and beyond his job to make sure I was a satisfied customer! I came straight to this store after going to a place on Ashland Avenue that was just appalling because the guy wanted to sell me a refrigerator that smelled of rotting meat and had this brown icky crap on the edges of the shelves. I found myself walking around Lowes looking at BRAND new refrigerators and dishwashers. I was greeted by a worker named Marquis who was very helpful who listen to what I was looking for and what my budget is and didnt pressure me to buy something exceeding my budget. He answered all my questions and even made sure I had a print out of what I ordered and even gave me the date of arrival as well. I was very happy with my purchase and looking forward to when the new refrigerator is delivered. If you are in the market for a new kitchen appliance whether its a refrigerator, stove, or dishwasher Marquis is you should ask for if you're looking for an appliance and won't get pressured to buy what is not in your budget. read more

I placed an order for several items a month prior to having installation in both kitchen and bath. I received an email that informed me that the items were ready for pickup. Since I paid for everything I knew that I didn't need to rush. Several weeks later I arrived at the store to pick up the items with my contractor. I was then told that all my items were not available. Management refused to speak with me. The poor clerk was told to tell me that I could get a refund. The store did not take responsibility for the problem. I was like livid. I called corporate and by the time I finished complaining a comparable item replaced the one that was missing. They were more willing to give me a refund and not make the solve he problem. Lowe's was willing to lose a sale and a customer. read more

She didn't let me finish talking . I got defensive and she start getting loud with the hand movements, of course I asked for a manager and she resolve the issue. I placed an order online for a Patio table and received an email, that My items was ready for pickup. Can on Monday and the item was NOT there. I was told by an worker that was sent to find the Table in the back, that she would sale me another table very similar to the table I order, but it was large then my original order. You can rent the truck. This truck was out and I waited more than 3 hours. The store manager stated he would deliver the item. I WAITED 3 days before it was deliver and I had to keep calling. I put the table together and the legs did not match up with the pre-drill holes. So, I called the number on the instruction and they put me back in touch with the store manager - Anthony. This was another night mare, because he stated they would put the table together in the store and deliver. I call him for an week and half.. With this manager stating the table has not come in yet. I called the Customer Service back, after a week and half. They told me they were going to escalate this to the manager of customer service and NO ONE EVER CALL. I finally took the item down and broke down the box and return it to the Store. I will never step foot back in this store again. No Apology from anybody in this store for what happen and nor does it seem anybody cares. SAD.... read more

I can't stand poor customer service! Nothing burns me up more than spending my hard earned money on a service or product and the company acts like they can care less. This review is for a problem my dear mother is going thru with lowe's currently. She purchased a dryer on January 16, 2015. As of today January 25th and entire 9 days later Lowe's still hasn't installed her dryer! They first gave her a delivery date of 1/17/16 but called to say the delivery truck broke down and had to reschedule. Next they come by 1/18 and deliver the dryer but claim they can't hook it up. How pathetic is that! You're going to bring my product late but then don't have the skills to install it, ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Next can you believe they couldn't set it up because the store sold her the wrong cord for the dryer. Now my mother didn't just walk in there and pick one out on random. They actually gave her what she needed, but IT WAS THE WRONG THING! So all last week we have been waiting around for them to come. Everyday we call, the manager says oh yeah we're coming out today, and NOTHING! This went on for a week mind you! Now if I had to miss work and wait on these jokers i would be even more pissed, but luckily I didn't. I think my mother deserves a credit or a free dryer or something. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WORST STORE, WORST COMPANY EVER. We are going to go back to getting our appliances from Sears or Home Depot. Lowes is a joke! read more

I recently seen all the terrible comments that were made about customer service about this store. I seen that they needed and had job listings for customer service representatives. I have worked in customer service for 4 years and have always had stellar reviews. I called to inquire about my application and a very rude young lady answered the phone. She said that they do not have a human resources department and that my application will be pulled by a third party service. She told me not to even bother with trying to apply there they do not hire anyone. She also said the pay was bad and they mistreat the employees. Me being inquisitive I asked her if that is the case why do you work there? She hung up in my face. I tried to call back and it would not let me through the automated call system... This is a disgrace. I have experiences, references, and worked in a couple different arenas. I never experienced such a rude encounter. Get some new hires in there with some experience who will appreciate the job!!! The people you have in the customer service is terrible!!!!! read more

Terrible customer service and communication. Long story short, I ordered a washer online several days ago. I received emails and an automatic voice mail stating it would be delivered the following day. I waited the following day...no delivery. Called Lowe's customer service. They tell me its on back order and won't be in for another 10 days. They gave me email confirmation of a 3/23 delivery. The night before delivery date, someone in the store tells me the order is still not in and that I would have to re-order online again. What??? Are you kidding me? This guy gave me attitude as well. Called customer service. The rep called the store manager. Apparently, it won't be in the store until the next night based on their system and that delivery will be on 3/24. The rep was surprised that the store manager didn't update me earlier about the status of my order. I have since cancelled and filed a complaint to corporate office since I would have to re-arrange my schedule once again. Lost trust at that point. I typically have a good shopping experience with Lowe's and like their product line. I have been a long standing customer but not anymore. The coordinated effort of their store, the delivery department and their system was a complete failure. And oh ya. I still received an automatic voice mail message telling me the 2 hour delivery time for a 3/23 delivery. read more

Buy an appliance and they'll tell you it's three days to install. Their contracted installers apparently call the shots and will tell you it's 1.5 weeks instead. And the store will do nothing about it except issue you a refund when you give up. Stay away. read more

I purchased Levolor wood blinds from this location. I was returning to have them cut down more to fit my kitchen window. My contractor and I entered the store at approximately 2:05PM on Friday 3/23/12. At the customer service desk we asked for someone to cut the blinds. We were directed to Home Decor. My contractor sat down at the desk to wait and I walked around. At about 2:15PM I returned to the Home Decor area and he was still waiting. We asked an associate who could assist us and we were told he would call someone. At 2:25PM still no one came to cut the blind. I went back to a cashier and requested a manager. I told him how long we had been waiting he called someone. Finally at about 2:40PM someone came to cut my blinds. Not once did any of the associates seeing us waiting or sitting ask if we needed help. The customer service at this location is well below acceptable. read more

I am in the middle road about this store. I shop here because I will never ever shop at the HD in the next parking lot over because of their horrible customer service. But I went to purchase some carpet here and was told that the associate who cuts the carpet would not be for another 2 hours. Therefore telling me that I had to wait which was a joke and after a few choice words someone was ultimately located to cut my carpet as requested. I assumed that cross training was something that this store did not do because a customer should never have to wait for an employee to come into work to obtain service. read more

By far the worst customer service experience I have ever received from a retail business. I place an order December 3rd, 2017 for item #: 354262 model #: Y301ICWW that was listed as available at Lowes store#: 2301. Upon placing my order I proceeded to pay for the item with my Lowes credit card and received an e-mail stating my order was being processed. The following morning I received a phone cal stating the my order was cancelled because the item was no longer available. I called Lowe's customer care and spoke with Leah. Leah explained to me that another individual placed the order for the same item and he was selected to receive the item. How Lowe's decided to honor the other individual's order and not the one I placed was beyond me. I asked Leah if they has a similar item in stock that could be substituted for my order and she informed me that they did but the item would cost 5 times as much as the item I ordered. I am not sure if she was joking. but she sounded serious I tried speaking with a supervisor but I was informed by Leah that she did not have a supervisor, which I find difficult to believe. Lowe's is a large enough company with the resources to not allow multiple people to order the same item without the necessary stock to honor all orders. I have ordered 1000's of items online and never have I heard of an order being cancelled because a company decided to honor one person's order and not another. Lowes should be ashamed of the way they handles this situation, and from Leah's attitude it seems that these situations happen a lot. read more

This has to be the most ignorant most incompetent Lowes I've ever encountered. The customer service is 1000 steps below horrible! No one understands their job or have any skill, experience or comprehension of what real customer service is about. I placed an order over a month ago, received confirmation of an online order to be delivered exactly 35 days later, no one ever contacted me to explain what the hold up was. I had to call twice and still could not receive a real valid understanding from anyone in the store. When I finally received a scheduled time and confirmed the delivery time window, I then received a call one hour before the order should have been delivered telling me they can't print the ticket! WELL WTF DID YOU TELL ME IT WAS BEING DELIVERED?! Speaking to upper management is useless, store manager doesn't answer calls and the so call assist manager has convinced himself he's the actual "Store Manager" but still can't provide any solid answers when they are at fault of their own mistakes and does very little to rectify the situation. I'm convinced the people who are posting 4-5 star ratings are people that either work at this dump of a store or friends and family of ppl that work at this place. DO NOT be fooled by the fake attempt to boost the star ratings for this place. It's definitely a waste of valuable time and a waste of money to deal with these ignorant ghetto worthless "Customer Service and Managers" or slum dump of a store, do yourself a favor and take a ride around the corner to HomeDepo or ANYWHERE else but not to this store! read more
