PSA: On 11/11/25 My mom and I went in to purchase a refrigerator because hers died, we picked out, purchased, set up delivery for next day, next day she gets a call the fridge was damaged and to come back in and pick out another one( 2nd trip there) got there apparently it wasn't damaged they sold it to someone else, now day 2 no fridge, set up delivery for next day, got to house was too big , delivery men took hinges off door, figured out they couldn't get it in house ,loaded truck and left with hinges and door off , thankfully I knew how to put it back on for her, as she is widowed, elderly, has a broken foot, and is on oxygen. 3rd trip picked out new fridge was told 2 days before they could deliver putting her 4 days now with out fridge, she waited 2 days, they said her Bosch fridge was in stock at their store, and we paid for it, also at the time finding out they charged her 3x for 50 delivery, 39 for removal, 17 for ice maker hook up, and never refunded her charges , Saturday 11/15 delivery comes it's a white freezer, not the Bosch fridge she picked out, immediately called to explain and get what she ordered and was told it was out of their hands, and that they couldn't do anything til Monday , go in to help her get things figured out , and was told I had to go to layton to get refund, because it came from them ( not my problem we paid Clinton store ) called Layton and they said they couldn't do anything until the 3rd party delivery drivers ( who spoke zero to little english) and who also didn't understand what they were trying to figure out. Called layton store again and spoke with Tyler or Tyson Byrd, he was zero help said Monday is soonest they could get her a new one. Mind you now she has over 7k on her card because returns take time to go through, I asked why if it was their screw up why they werent fixing it, he wouldn't do anything and was put on hold( ignore) and eventually hung up on. Called a family owned business in Ogden, BOYLES and with in 2 hours she had a fridge installed ,, delivered , and working . It's now 11/16 was told to come in after 7 so item would be back at store to return, after 45 minutes of trying to return they tell me they again cant return , Layton has to, at which time I said why do we buy from them if they dont handle it out fully, they said to call and I could do return over phone due to my mom have broken foot and its not easy for her to get around . Call Layton they now cant find item and said we now have to wait till 11/17 to make sure the item is back there, and they were closing even though I had been on phone with them well before closing, I am praying they refund entire amount owed. So I never have to deal with them , and she will be buying all appliances from Boyles who care about customers, and has employees that know how to help customers . Where do I begin??? The morning started off by having to go to Layton Lowe's to see about a missing online order that said it was delivered that morning. It took 6 people, including a manager, to figure out that it was their own 3rd party delivery service who was to blame and that I should get what I paid for. Then we walked to the garden section where we were hunted down to give a hard sales pitch on gutter cleaning and repair. We then moved to plumbing where we inquired about their $499 water softeners. Neither of the two salespeople didn't know anything. So we asked if they had contact info for their contractors so we could estimate the installation costs. The company they gave us spent TWO HOURS testing our water using a HARD upsell from a Lowe's $499 water softener to a $5000 water softener. BTW They don't install Lowe's units! The final straw this morning was checking out with the one checker serving the entire store, Rhonda. She was elderly, sitting on a stool with a mask. She started yelling at my daughter who was placing items on the counter for her to stop because she was getting confused, despite the computer screen behind her that literally showed pictures of everything she had already rung up and the unrung items clearly separated. My daughter said, that's ok, I will push this basket over closer to you so you can take them out. Rhonda became angry and started slamming the ceramic pots into the basket and up against each other. My daughter asked her to please be careful not to break them. She slammed them harder and yelled that she was NOT breaking anything. There were multiple bags of fertilizer under the cart. Rhonda huffed and puffed angrily saying she couldn't breath as she tried to reach down to scan each bag. I am not specifically talking about this location. Lowes in general is not all that great. I prefer their Big Orange Competitor but they are further away from my home. I'll come to this location because it is close. The associates seem ok but never go out of their way to help. My gripe today is that I received a rebate receipt from my local Lowes that was missing some information. The Lowes website has an answer for this however, my item was not valid. Finally I tried calling their customer service number and was told that the rebate expired. I told them that I could not process the rebate request because there was information missing from their receipt. She basically told me there is nothing she could do but give me another number to call. Well, $10 is not worth that much of my time to chase down some ghost so I told them forget it and hung up. I went in Clinton lowes for a clearance refrigerator, found a clearance one and ask about the 10% extra off they currently have for samsung and other brand (truck load events) the guy come over and said since the fridge is already clearance too much they cant give another 10%. When ask the ads clearly say additional and nothing about how many % the clearance have to be he say he just cant give discount. When ask for manager so i can check he say he the manager but clearly state "flooring supervisor" on his name tags. Then i ask to talk to a store manager he say "we dont have one" when i mention every store have a store manager then he say "he on vacation" i cant believe there is no check and balance in this store so anyone can do whatever they want. This store is a hop skip and a jump from my house and has on more than one occasion save me time and money by having the item I need in a pinch. They usually have someone that can give good advice and insight as they have worked in the specialty they were hired to work in such as electricians in electrical department, and a plumber in plumbing. Kind of obvious but spelling it out here. DIY people will find it here. I have not ever had a problem returning an item if I bought the wrong part or bought too many pavers or 2x4s. I bought a Frigidaire fridge from the Lowe's store in Clinton, Utah, on 10/13/23. It was delivered on 10/17, but the doors don't close. So I called Lowe's and they sent two guys here to fix it. They said that this fridge is damaged and somebody will call me about replacing it. Nobody called for a few days, so I called Lowe's. Two guys came to take the Frigidaire fridge away. I asked when I'll get my new fridge. I was told somebody will call me. Again, nobody called for a few days, so I went to the Lowe's store. A lady told me that I have to wait for a few weeks to get a new one because they don't have any in the warehouse. I told her I had no fridge at home and my food is getting bad. She said I could get another brand and they'll deliver it next day. So I choose a GE fridge. Next day, the nice lady called me a few times asking me where is the Frigidaire fridge. She thinks it's still at my home since she can't find it in the warehouse. I told her the time it was picked up from my home. On 10/26/23, she called me and said that, after a lot of work, she solved the mystery of where is the Frigidaire fridge -- it was delivered to a nearby Lowe's in Riverdale, Utah. As a result, I'll have to make a return and buy my new GE bridge. The GE bridge, however cost $50 more. I said okay and paid for the new fridge. It was delivered on 10/28 and I'm happy with it. I thought, although my food like milk went bad, I'm done with my bad experience of buying the fridge from Lowe's. However, on 10/31/23, I found that they didn't refund me the money for the Frigidaire fridge. So I went to the local Lowe's store again. They said they'll refund my money after they bring back the Frigidaire fridge from the Riverdale Lowe's. They said they'll do it tomorrow. On 11/1/23, a lady called and said they were not able to get the Frigidaire fridge from Riverdale that day and I'll have to wait for another day to get my refund. On 11/2/23, the same lady called and said the same thing and I have to wait for another day for my refund. Nobody called yesterday (11/3/23) and I thought maybe they already refund the money to my Lowe's credit card. So I logged in last night and found no refund. Now it's early morning on 11/4/23 and I can't sleep and decided to get up and write a review. I have to say that the people are nice but they just can't refund my money. read more

First of all, the only reason I'm giving three stars is because the guys at the paint counter were extremely kind and helpful. If I were to base my review on the experience I'm about to tell you, it would be zero stars. I refinished a dresser for my kids over the summer and needed a piece of hard board cut to replace the bottom of two of the drawers. When I was having an employee (I believe his name was Riley) help cut the pieces, because that is a service they claim to provide, he was extremely rude. And then told me he would only cut one piece and I would need to come back when someone else was working because he "HAD OTHER SHIT TO DO". After I said something about it being pointless to even cut the first piece then, he rudely and reluctantly cut the second piece. Mind you, this was all from one slab of hard board. I wasn't asking for 25 cuts or something and if I had the tools to do it myself I obviously would not have been there asking them to simply complete a service they provide. I get home and he cut them off by half an inch so they didn't fit in my drawers and I had to go back, pay for more board and have them re cut anyways. I even double checked my measurements to make sure it wasn't my mistake but they were exactly correct. I am certain he did it on purpose. My husband was furious that he spoke to me like that over needing to do his job and called to speak with a manager. The manager told my husband he believed it was an employee who had already put in notice and was working his last shift that day. I figured I'd give it another chance if that were the case, lo and behold the next time I went in, months later, he was still working there and as rude as ever. Another employee helped me that day while training a new employee and I overheard him even say to never ask "Riley" for help because he was a cocky, rude, know-it-all, who wouldn't help. Shocker. My husband always says I should just drive further to Home Depot and that's exactly what I do now. read more

After at least 10 years of buying garden supplies, a new oven, materials to do repairs around the house, lawn mowers, a new washing machine, screws/nails, paint, light bulbs, a BBQ, and who knows what else, I thought it was about time to review the Clinton Lowes. Their customer service is always friendly and since the store is so big they will lead you in the right direction to find the supplies you need. Their delivery service (for large items like washing machines, ovens, etc) is prompt and very seamless. Horrible customer service! They are having a deal that includes a Dewalt miter saw and a stand for free. So naturally we decide to buy one. It turns out that they placed the correct saw for the deal 10 ft away and were arguing about it. Why keep the wrong saw below the deal. Manager was VERY unprofessional, could not tell the difference between the saws. "The item number is different" the item numbers were the same. Do not shop here, just go to Home Depot. I don't normally write reviews but this situation has so infuriated me that this is my recourse. We went to this lowes and asked for a water softener to be installed. We previously had a water heater installed and it took only a couple of days so we were feeling good about this. After selecting the model, the associate said that the installer should be in contact with us for an estimate soon. This was on Thursday and we didn't hear from the installer until Monday, when lowes finally called them. We had to wait until that Thursday morning for the estimate. Once done the installer said he would drop the estimate off and that Lowes should be calling us within 24 hours. It wasn't until I called Lowes that friday afternoon that someone finally looked at the estimate. It took lowes another 2 hours to get back to me with the totals. After I agreed I called my wife to go down to pay and sign for the install. She paid for the install but they "FORGOT" to have her sign the contract. I then had to go down on a Saturday to sign the contract, with the installer not even being contacted yet for scheduling. All the store could say was OOPS! It will be going on 2, possibly 3, weeks waiting for a water softener to be installed!!!!!!! If you want a water heater then they are really good, but if you want any other appliance installed, better plan for the whole process to take up to a month to complete. I will never go back to Lowes for an install. I would rather pay a corporate plumber twice as much because at least they will install it in a reasonable amount of time, not a month. Lowes is very happy to take your money but when it comes to fulfilling their side of the contract, they drag it out as long as humanly possible. read more

I have had nothing but stellar experiences from the Clinton Lowe's. I have bought everything from granite counters to kitchen appliances and haven't been disappointed yet. I most recently bought a double oven range from Lowe's over the Memorial day weekend, and took advantage of the free delivery they were offering. On the day of delivery they called and said they just wanted to let me know the noticed some minor damage to the range and assured me it was cosmetic and I wouldn't even notice it, and as a bonus their manager offered an additional 15% off. The delivery crew were very professional, and showed me the damage prior to unloading, in case I didn't want it due to the damage, but the damage was exactly as they described, I wouldn't have noticed the damaged area if they hadn't pointed it out to me. The crew positioned the range and were out the door in just a few minutes. To finish the transaction, I swung by Lowe's a few days later and presented my receipt at the Customer service counter. I was expecting this to take a while , but getting the 15% credited by to my card was quick and easy. read more

I tried to take back an abs pipe fitting with two pieces. The Customer service that was doing my return seemed like she had never used a cash register before. She kept talking to the other workers for other matter s and not mine. She did the return and put half on my credit card and half on a gift card. I thought that was dumb , but ok. I went to buy the correct abs pipe fitting and the gift card wouldn't work and it asked for my drivers license. I had already given my drivers license for the return and I was not going to give it again to redeem a gift card that a was just given. The customer service said there was nothing they could do. I got a little angry and they acted like i was threatening to hurt them. Other customers threatened to call the police and taunted me to a fight. I will NEVER go back to this horrible Lowe's. I will take the extra time to the Layton Lowe's which I have never had problems with. Since when can you not raise a concern and not feel like you are being treated like a criminal? read more

I went in today to return a carpet shampooer . I honestly forgot to look underneath where the brush is but cleaned the u it everywhere else . There was cat hair underneath ( I get it - it's gross )The lady who helped me made a comment ( very audibly ) that I "should return things the way I. Want my things returned ." I I told her I would clean the unit right there and she brought me paper towels and some cleaner . After I cleaned the underside of the unit I asked another lady to come and check . The location of this store is the only reason it gets up to three stars. The plumbing section is woefully under-stocked, with most parts I need an empty slot with no backstock available. The 'convenient' online ordering? Ha! Every time I go to pick it up the following day, it's a monkey-cluster as they try to get people to gather the ALREADY PAID FOR items AFTER I get there. I like the employees they are fine but every time we order something from the warehouse the order gets delayed, messed up, or lost/never ordered. We have special ordered through this location 3 times and it was never worked out. They really try to fix their mistakes but I've also have gotten poor customer service over the phone when I called about my special orders. I would just recommend that if they don't have it now don't get it and also pick it up don't do delivery. They say they would install everything they did not, they said they couldn't do it that we didn't have the right hook ups/cords. If I could give a zero I would, 2 girls working in paint dept at about 11am were rude and did not help. I brought in a piece of paint to match she tried for a minute (piece of wall about 1sq ft) while I waited and had to listen to there drama ("I'm so tired". "I don't want to be here") then DONT come to work. When finished she set the two gallons out and I could clearly see a difference in color I told her "that is not matching" she replied "well it's as good as I can get," and walked away from me. then the other bright red head looked at me as if I were dumb, meanwhile the one who mixed the paint left me to go flirt with a guy working on the floor. I sat there for about five minutes and she glanced back at me and grabbed the guy employees arm and went behind the isle. Worst customer service EVER, don't waste your time. We've bought two major appliances from the Lowes in Clinton in the last four or five months. The first appliance, a fridge, went alright-other than a damaged door that they had to replace. The second appliance, a slide-in-stove, was a nightmare. The customer service was horrific! We were told that the stove would arrive on Saturday, then on Monday, then on Wednesday. I called on Wednesday to find out what time and was informed that they had used a very old phone number which I did NOT leave with them when we bought the appliance, and had talked to someone. Who? Not me! They were supposedly on their way right then. Almost an hour and a half later they showed up with some lame excuse. It would have been nice to have a courtesy call to inform me of their delay, since I had other things I could have accomplished instead of waiting around for these guys. They wouldn't install my stove because of not being properly trained and certified to install the slide-in so they left it sitting in the middle of my kitchen after asking me if I had a husband or man who could install it later!!!! The installer literally asked me, a woman, if I had a husband or other man who could install the stove for me! He then tried to get me to sign a statement indicating that he had installed the stove and that I had tried it out and made sure that everything worked. I refused! After the guys left I tried to call Lowes to complain and no one even answered for the main number, and being too busy, I moved on with my day. My husband called when he got home, and after quite some time convinced them to send more guys who yet again said they couldn't install it. We were misled, lied to, and given very poor service. I will avoid going to Lowes for any other appliances in the future, what a nightmare! read more

Went to Lowes in Clinton today 17 OCT 18 AT 1030 AM as I've been there a lot...Got some paint and the lady there was awesome, (long pony tail), went back to the cabinets and counter tops to make sure the paint I wanted to do cabinets with would look good....Perfect on her part of customer service....Then went to the door customer service desk and asked the 2 guys sitting there if they had 5 ft patio doors...I was told while they were still sitting down, I think if we have any they will be back by aisle ###....So I go look around and find one but it isn't priced at all anywhere....I have 2 options now....option 1...Go back to the lazy guys at the door customer service counter and ask 1 if they can get me a price on the door but they seem more interested in just talking to each other or option 2....pull the door out of the rack into the aisle to give them something to do,(like put the door back into rack)....I choose option 2....might as well make them work for a moment...I had the intention of buying a front door and a patio door today and set an appointment up for an install date....But they lost out on this sale today....Told the acting manager James about it and was told they have a new person starting in that dept....Told him whoever he gets has got to be better that what I saw today....Hopefully they get the paint girl to show the door guys about customer service as those 2 guys sure got left on the docks and missed the boat... read more

My husband I were particularly frustrated when we left Lowe's one day. We went to get the mulch that was on sale. We didn't bring the ad and things weren't labeled well. We asked an employee in the garden section if a certain one was the one on sale. He said he didn't know and offered no other help. We figured it out and my husband decided to pull the car down to the entrance of the garden section. As he pulled in, they closed and locked the gates and said he would have to go in and out the main entrance. So we got a big cart, loaded up, and went through the store. We had a cart with our kids and a large flat cart with the mulch. We got in line behind the person currently checking out with our two carts (but only buying mulch). The cashier walks around and puts the chain in front of my husband and said sorry I can't help you. You need to go to a different register. The man moved to the self checkout session and that was it. My husband told him he had something but poor customer service today and he said I'm sorry, but also had nothing to offer. He didn't even offer to help my husband get into another line (I had walked away to the paint section really quick so he was there with two carts to move).
