1) had to stand in line overly long time for 2 customers ahead of me. 2) Rang up my flowers, I cannot see what is being rung up. Clerk tells me total which is $10 more than it should be. He checks to see where problem is, discount prices did not ring up even tho UPC code is crossed out. Clerk had to call someone to come and put codes in for at least 2 and maybe 3 of the flowers I was purchasing. Why can't the clerk do this? Hes got a sign right there with prices for the flowers. Waited again for the second clerk/supervisor to come and assist. Line is down the aisle. Guy behind me asks Clerk to call for someone to open 2nd register. Clerk/Supervisor comes and VOIDS OUT all the flowers, says he has to start over. This means he has to have my phone number & email again. And scan every flower again. Have already waited and waited and waited. Keep your flowers. I'll go somewhere else. Absolutely irritating and seems to happen every time I buy anything at this store. read more

It's bad enough when you go to Lowe's no one is around to assist. So I Purchased 2 toilets online for delivery. I am Handicapped and cannot Lift. Paid for delivery and in instruction area I asked them to let me know when they arrive so I can have the delivery placed in garage. It was raining and Windy and I did not want them to be outside especially since I cannot lift. The delivery guy did not do this and he left them Outside in the rain. So cardboard soaked. I called customer service and they do not care. I have photos of the delivery outside. So tired of businesses that do not care about the customers. I have had a great experience at the Lowe's in Clinton Township. Most of the staff is very welcoming, attentive and helpful. Josh in the paint department has helped me find just what I was looking for and offered tips and suggested products to better help me accomplish the project at home, like a spackling kit rather than just the spackling I initially came in for. He also knew where to direct me for items in other products helping simplify my entire shopping trip. And he was able to answer questions of other customers searching for items directing them to the needed aisles as he assisted me too. The knowledge of the items, store, and projects overall keeps me coming back; great products, great service, and I know I'll leave knowing more about the project I need to accomplish than I did coming in. read more

This is our go-to store for so many items so this says a lot since Lowe's sits along Hall Road between two Home Depots that are just a few short miles east and west of here. We've always had positive experiences and the customer service whether on the floor or at the registers or customer service desk has always been great..... Today, there was a price discrepancy that I had to tell them about. It was a buy one item and get the coordinating item free, but it wasn't ringing up that way, so after a minor bump in the road, the cashier agreed with me that it indeed was supposed to be the buy one get one free. I'm surprised it wasn't in the system as such. There's one thing I would like to see them work on.... on different occasions including today, there have been store ladders not in use that were blocking shelves. A hi-lo was smack dab in the way of what I needed to look for. These are things a customer can't move themselves and they're blocking the merchandise that we come here to purchase. There were also multiple abandoned shopping carts all throughout the store with merchandise on them or in them that looked to be things that needed to be put away. Blocking merchandise shelves and clogging aisles during store hours makes it difficult to shop and makes it customer unfriendly. read more

Very poor customer service. I paid for a ceiling fan and installation. They outsourced the installation. Installers came but said they could not install. I was charged for the installation. I called the store and after 2 hours on phone was told to call Lowe's Credit Card Services. They took off $22 of the $135 fee. 2 months later I get billed again for installation. After over an hour on the phone Lowe's did nothing but say it's normal for their installer to bill 2 months after they supposedly installed. read more

Very disappointing when you have an employee bitching about another employee, which I think was a manager bitching about Tom not doing his job very unprofessional complaining about that when you first walk in talking to other employees. And then see her again bitching about Tom on the phone she doesn't get paid enough to do both jobs Should not be hearing that be professional and take it in the back. Customer should not have to hear that also people need to help customers a little bit better than they are instead of pointing the finger at somebody else to go find them. I should not have to go find anybody if you got a Radio you should be asking my question to that person instead of telling me to go find somebody out there in the garden section 3 different answers from three different people. Just recently got on line and ordered a sink hose, my intent was to stop on the way home stop in and grab and go. Got to the store noticed special 15 minute parking for order pick up, parked and went in to the store. Lowes did have a special desk and area for pick up but it was gone, it seems it was incorporated into the returns desk. Five deep in line twenty minutes later the left over wood from fluffy's dog house was finely returned and I got to the desk got my hose and I was on my way. Lowes do us all a favor, take down the special parking signs for pick up and get rid of the pick up service. If you are not going to do it right and make it a convenience instead of an inconvenience stop doing it. If this was the first time this happened it would be no big deal. Absolutely TERRIBLE experience and customer service in the Millwork department at this location in Clinton Twp, Mi. Was given bad information on a promotion for a storm door, which I already started the process of buying. Instead of doing the right thing and honoring the promotion, your employees decided to take the high ground against me and tell me they wouldn't help. I'm not sure what $100 is to Lowe's but I guess it's a lot and you can lose customers pretty easily and not care. Thanks though for my $35 back for the useless door measurement after complaining. After years of coming here, obviously I'll have to take my business elsewhere. I will also be sure to tell everybody I know that you don't care to teach your employees about a good customer experience or doing the right thing for your customers. After thorough research into the best appliances and the best pricing, we went to this location. Zac was extremely helpful and Lowe's is lucky to have such a thoughtful, patient, personable employee in that department. Although his store didn't have everything we needed, he had no hesitation in sending us to the Chesterfield location, where we met Amy (see our separate review), who had previously worked with Zac before changing stores. Clearly, they came from the same mold, because they are both fantastic employees! We highly recommend both of them for your appliance needs! And on a similar note, we also want to recognize Trevor. We took our nephews (8 and 6) to look at the tractors, and the 8-year-old knows more about John Deere than most adults, so Trevor easily spent a half hour talking with him and answering his questions. He was so patient, so pleasant, and so great with our nephew. Kudos to Trevor and Lowe's should be commended for yet another example of a fantastic employee and exceptional customer service! We didn't buy a tractor yet, but we know Trevor is there when we're ready! read more

Never had a worse purchase experience. I ordered an upright freezer from Lowe's online. It was scheduled for delivery Friday, June 18, through JB Hunt. I waited home all day but it never arrived. We rescheduled for Tuesday, June 22, again confirmed the delivery window, and again no delivery. This time I received a delivery survey from JB Hunt and delivery confirmation from Lowe's. I spoke to JB Hunt, Lowes's in Clinton Township, MI, and Lowe's corporate Customer Service. They could not explain the non delivery (Which included removal of old appliance for a fee). I asked for a refund and was told it would be processed when the appliance was back in the store. Something I have no control over as the appliance was never delivered! It has been eleven days and I still have not received a refund. I have since purchased a similar model from Best Buy (great service) and returned the old appliance through DTE recycling program (Also great). It's unfortunate I am forced to give even one star to write this review. read more

What can I say, I'm a Lowe's fan. There is another giant home improvement chain we all know of, and in my opinion they just don't cut it. Over the past decade I visited Lowe's all over more times than I can count. This location is really close to my house, so I frequent it. I've bought things like plants and birdseed here, and then I've also bought electrical fixtures, lights, paint, and all sorts of other decorative and functional home improvement necessities. There have been many times where I've needed to get the help of somebody there, whether it was to cut two-by-fours, molding, or needed help with plumbing or something electrical. It's true that you may not be able to find somebody in your aisle right away, but my tip to that is just go up to customer service when you come in, and I'll have someone meet you in the aisle. I've been doing that for years now and it works out great. As far as the outdoor things at Lowe's, the plants that I have purchased from here whether they are annuals or perennials have always been great, and they do have a policy that you can bring them back if for some reason when you get home they mysteriously died... they will be happy to refund you or help you get something that might work better for you or just make an even exchange. You can also bring anything back there that's just not working out for you and they'll return it with no questions. On occasion that I've had to purchase tile and bought too much or too little they've always been very helpful in either assisting with a return, or figuring out exactly how much more I need. I definitely use Lowe's for most my home improvement needs, and highly recommend this location to anyone looking for everything from a light switch cover to new appliances for their home. read more

Lowes! Better selections than the Home Depot. More selection in lighting, appliances, tile, etc. Shop both and see the difference. Need 2"x3" studs for a project that doesn't require 2 by 4's??? I use those for uprights when shrink wrapping boats. Lowe's has them. HD does not. Add a "T" to the end of Lowe's. That's your price guarantee. HD feels like Walmart. Lowe's feels like a Caribbean cruise. That's what my GF says. So if you want to make your mate happy, Take them on a trip to Lowe's. Literally the worst employer I lve ever worked for , and definitely a lot of racism going in in there and I feel like as of today 12/18/2022 if me being fired that it will be the last employee that will ever have to go through that again, ima start with sharron which is supposed to be the store manager , two weeks ago from today which is the date above I've gotten into an argument with an man whome was older then me alot older, I had an issue with my 6 year old son and had to leave for 30 mins , when I arrive back I follow my normal procedure and called my head cashier as were told to do whenever we clocked back in , in the process the guy called me over while he was mubbling something rude I proceeded to still go over there to see what was wrong and he then asked what was I doing I'm suppose to be here in self checkout , I told him I was following what my manager's tell us to do , he proceeded to put his hand and my face and I was upset and used profanity too loud and I got called to the office , I was adfrid for my life , no one knows what I go home too and have to deal with , two weeks later leading on today they revived the tapes , sharron and Brian the managers , and said they had to let me go from the company because after reviewing the taps since I dropped the f word twice while customers was around 2 customers they said that it was that severely that no other writes ups on my file but that verbal incident was so serious, not to mention I was a good worker , always came in when people called off for them , working two lines all the time , always greeted the customers , the registers was always down so I basically had to enter a 16 digit upc all while keeping other customers that's waiting smiling and happy , it boggles my brain that I was discriminated on the day I changed my schedule , sharron and Brian was the rudest managers to ever have , Aimee the head cashier is great and always smiling , managers are not supposed to tell your business to coworkers that you work with or ppl that are not in management and they do , the follow black people around the store and tell the cashiers who to pin out and who not too, when Caucasian ppl come to the counter and they are veterans they immediately give them the discount without the id card or phone number on file but when a African American comes they give them the hardest time and the customer always look like they are upset WTH me , Nicole the head cashier never comes to give breaks she mad rude it's just so much. Patiently waiting for Monday to call corporate already had to put in a police incident on that guy because if he's able to get away with assault on women who knows what he will do if he ever was to be in contact again , I give this store a 0 for working and also a 0 for what I see and knowing what the customers go through , the Lowe's located on Hayes and hall road choose wisely they even pay us the lowest out of ever depar store read more

My husband and I moved into a new built home with many windows; large and larger. Within a couple of months Lowes had a window blinds promotion which we took advantage of. Our salesperson at the Hall Road, Clinton Twp. location was so very helpful, informative, and polite; not to mention thorough. She worked hard to help us consider different scenarios, things we may encounter, and the technical aspect. She recommended we purchase the measure and install. My husband is exceptionally handy and mechanically inclined. For that reason we were not going to purchase, but Lowes offers a great deal on that service. We bought it and are glad that we did. We had a couple of technical issues with the Levolor product. Our salesperson was on top of it...all the way. One issue fixed quick and easy. The other issue took more communication with Levolor. Eventually, a rep came out and agreed that some blinds would need to be replaced. In the end, all parties worked at getting this big order correct. Big kudos to our sells person Donna!! She is top notch and Lowes is lucky to have her as an associate! read more

I spontaneously dropped into Lowe's this morning when I drove past and saw children's picnic tables on clearance. The lack of assistance I received inside the store was so uninspiring, I had to leave a review. Customer service made several calls before they told me to go back out front and see if I could get the item number to take to a cashier. A manager that was called up to help never addressed the issue, and instead loudly mocked one of her employees for asking her a question. Only the cashier, whose name was Jerry, was kind an apologetic for the long and ridiculous wait for such a simple purchase. Definitely suggest seeking out another location if you anticipate needing any type of in-store support. read more

I was shopping everywhere for new cabinets for my kitchen. I met Dawn from the cabinet department and she set my mind at ease. She walked me through the whole process and answered all my questions. She was very knowledgeable. Out of all the places I went, she was the one who helped me the most. She took her time to make sure I was getting what I wanted and gave me wonderful ideas to maximize my space. She also helped me pick out the molding, a sink and the hardware for the cabinets. I feel like she went above and beyond for me. Lowes, please give her a raise. If anyone is even thinking about getting any cabinets, please go see her first. She will not disappoint. read more

Lowe's is alright when you need common items for repairs, home improvement, lighting, etc... But, it's definitely not the place to go if you need advice or even help finding a specific item. I've never gotten assistance of any real value here. The few times I've had questions or needed advice I received nothing useful or bad information. The selection is just OK. The brands and on hand merchandise is moderate to low quality. If you are doing serious work or need good quality supplies, look elsewhere. The window and door area is especially useless. The people there know next to nothing. Installation is jobbed out to whomever is available. The couple of jobs I've had done by Lowe's installation contractors were very poorly done. I will never use them again. Overall this is nothing more than a convenience shopping choice. read more

So, as usual, I must add a disclaimer. I only dealt with the Customer Service department. I have personal experience working as customer service for a wide variety of supplies and services, to include outdoor equipment and grills. My friend and I discovered yesterday evening that his gas grill was no longer functioning. And we were planning on making some turkey burgers with pepper jack cheese, so one can clearly see the heavy urgency of our desperate situation. So, we come to Lowe's. They have a good variety of gas grills locked down in the front, with the name of the grill and the price shown with each respective set of grills. Great. We pick one out. We aren't sure if a normal cashier can take care of us, perhaps that is a general ignorance on our part. So, my friend decides to get in the Customer Service line. It takes a while, but we are pretty chill guys. Our time to check out finally comes, and we are 'greeted' by Mira. Remember that name folks. Mira. We put the grill cover and lighter on the counter and my friend was about to explain which grill he wanted to purchase. Mira interrupts and explains, "So, we doing a return, or what? Cause this is for returns." Ok, that's a little brash, but no worry. Josh explains that he wishes to purchase a grill out front. Mira follows up, "Did you at least give us a product number? Cause you are making it hard on yourself without it." From the average Yelp reviewer, one would probably believe I am leaving much out of the conversation. I am not. This was literally the extent of her communication with us. So, now my friend is clearly defensive. We did not know we needed to do this. It didn't really matter, seeing how a representative needed to come outside to unlock the grill for us anyway. So, Mira and my friend walks outside to check on the grill. Lo and behold, there was no product number, only a bar code. Mira does kind of change her attitude after realizing how absurd she acted. Regardless Lowe's, this employee conducted herself in a ridiculous manner. It makes no sense for anyone, let alone someone under the auspice of customer service, to talk to customers the way she did, and for no reason. read more

I came in the Clinton twp store to buy and have installed a patio door. This was June 17th. I waited until Sep 13th for the door installation due to a custom door had to be installed. The total cost was about 5k. The Installer was very young and was obviously less experienced, however did a good job for the most part. He claimed to have been short on his equipment which was the reason for the bent up and crooked aluminum trim. He said he would redo it, but also was a missing part on the door, called the "button" which locks the bottom of the door and closes a hole in the bottom. The "button" had to be ordered and the trim would be fixed when the part came in. Everytime I call Lowes they push out the date which the part will arrive. Today is November 2nd and was told it would be in on Nov 14th. Meanwhile I have a hole in the bottom of the door, a perfect size for a mouse to go through, or any kind of wet weather to soak my carpeting. I also cannot paint until the trim is fixed. I wished I had gone to another company as this the worst possible outcome which could have happened. I may have to go to court to get my money back, because I honestly believe the part will never come in and I will have to hire another company to install a complete door. read more

I purchased $250.00 in the beginning of December. I noticed there were several spots the were not lit up. When the weather was warmer I tried to return the defective lights on January 6th. There store policy wouldn't allow us to return light even though they were defective. I guess we were supposed to take down the lights in freezing cold, return them then rehang all lights. We purchased 8 sets of light and all 8 were defective. Lowe's employee wouldn't listen at a All eve though it was faulty products. Four phone calls between delivery service and store including a 6 AM call to try to make sure of delivery time being early. Delivery Service is out of New Jersey and store claims they have no control, yesterday I was told Call at 6 AM and they'll make sure I'm in the first delivery. Service wouldn't give me a time and said I would get an auto clll last night and didn't. Buyer beware ruin your whole day. After inquiring they had scheduled me for 1-3.
