There garden center deals are coming hot this spring! I bought a few bougainvillea plants, bags of soil, three pots, volcanic rock, and lawn fertilizer all for under $150. Not to mention they had a sale on bags of mulch, 5 bags for $10. Typically these are $5 per bag, which can really add up, so saving $3 per bag is huge! I did the math and with delivery this was by far the cheapest mulch sold in the area. Normally, Gallo winery is the best deal for mulch, but I was saving $70 dollars going with Lowes and that included delivery. I ended up buying 90 bags and got it delivered for $280! In today to find a light bulb for a light fixture that I bought at Ashjian lighting. When the light fixture was installed 4 years ago I thought they had left me a few light bulbs but I couldn't find them. So I headed to Lowe's with the light bulb in hand and to my surprise, Lowe's had the exact bulb I needed. 3 bulbs for $13. I guess I don't have to worry about that task again for another 5 years. Hubby and I went through self-check out which is pretty easy. If we needed help, there was a Lowe's staff member standing less than 4 feet away that I'm sure could have helped us. read more

We bought a new dishwasher on a Sunday. They said it would be delivered and installed on the next Tuesday, so I made a point to be home. They didn't show up. After many calls, I finally got in touch with the home office. They connected me with the installers and they came on the following Tuesday... a week late! After installation, it took the two of us three days to get enough dirty dishes to try out the new dishwasher. When we tried to use it we found that the lower basket will not stay on the track, and we have to pick it up and set it back into the dishwasher. We went to Lowes, and they said. Too Bad... you've had it more than 48 hrs. YOU OWN IT! I almost fainted when the guy told me that. This place is about as sorry as they come. The first time we try to use the machine and it doesn't work, and they just tell me I own it. Also, they promised a discount for First Responders, that's a big joke... they don't give one. I had a frustrating experience at Lowe's. I passed multiple employees in the store and not one acknowledged me or offered assistance. When I approached an employee in the department where I needed help, his initial response was, "I'm busy with another customer," without any effort to follow up, acknowledge that I'd be next, or offer an alternative. I waited, and he did eventually help me--but only after I continued standing there without any communication or reassurance. This seems to be a consistent issue every time I visit this location--there's a noticeable lack of basic customer service and engagement. I only came in because I knew the item I needed was available, but the experience reminded me why I usually avoid shopping here. 30+ years of purchasing hundreds of thousands for rebuilding complete homes. Ordered a shower a month ago, I was charged a delivery fee. First only the shower door was delivered, wait two more weeks, two bases are delivered, no side doors. I call today they want me to call the manufacturer myself. In other words they just want to get rid of me. I said I bought from you not from the manufacturer. I request cancellation. I was told no refund on delivery charge even though it was never delivered completely. I purchased a washer and dryer set here a month ago. The washer was delivered and installed, but was not fully operational. l tried calling the store to speak with customer service, but either no one picked up, or they hang up on me after placing me on hold. I finally got a number to phone support for the delivery and installation dept-- and requested to have the machine picked up within the 48-hour return policy window. I had difficulty with their phone support department because an agent who I later followed up with to the confirm the return tried to say they authorized the return against policy, in error, and tried reversing my return request. Later it was determined I was within policy. I later got my issued resolved by walking into the store and speaking with the store manager, Ed. The next week I had the faulty washer, swapped out for a new one and paid a little extra money for a five-year warranty for the extra peace of mind. The store sales associates and store management were really great but there phone systems, customer service are and install/delivery team need some extra love and training. Do not trust their delivery!!! We ordered over $5k in appliances to be delivered to our under construction home. We received the email the night before that the delivery window was from 12-4pm the next day. 8am I get a call from an out of area number. I answer and there is no one there. I hang up. It calls back, I don't answer thinking it's spam. They do NOT leave a message. Shortly after that I get an email update that says my delivery window is now between 11-3pm. Ok fine. Then I get a text from that number stating they tried to deliver my appliances at 8:45am and we were not there!!! Of course we were not there. It's under construction, no one lives there and we didn't need to be there until 11am. We call the number, text the number and are ignored. We called Lowe's. They of course can't do anything since the delivery company is a 3rd party. We call the 3rd party company and are met with excuse after excuse. First they lie and say the window was from 8-12. Then the story changes to my window was actually eastern time... on and on. All excuses. They refuse to reach out to the drivers stating they are a different 3rd party company and can't do anything about it. They refuse to transfer us to a supervisor and refuse to deliver them today. We have to reschedule to the next available slot which isn't until 3 days from now!!!!! So now our tight construction schedule is pushed back costing us more $. The dude and I came to Lowe's in July 2020 and recently August 23rd as I am enjoying gardening and growing plants. The dude surprised me with a Pineapple plant from Walmart garden section and needing some more happy plant friends to keeep it company I wanted to see the other additions I could add to my fruit and vegetable garden. My cucumber plant is thriving however White Flies are sadly eating away my plant and turning the leaves yellow!!! It's so disheartening so I needed to find a safe organic liquid to do away with such pests!!! However the Clovis location was raided!! I also love my happy bees so I don't want anything to kill them and they were all out of Garden safe products sadly :( However no shortage on beloved flowers, fruit plants and garden plants. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I ended up getting a metal rod for my cucumber plant to help hold it up as it should be producing cucumbers in a few weeks if not sooner! I will be back to see what I need for my thriving garden as I also got plant food too! All affordable! It was clean and organized. Lovely time! I will be back!!! read more

I shared with the manager Coby my washer was not spinning even though i tried 3 times. The dryer took hours to dry 1 sheet. Even though purchased on July 24, 2024, Coby assured me he could open a case, get a refund not a store credit. He read what he had said back to me because I requested it. While I was still on the phone, I could faintly hear someone ask Cody a question. Cody replied "some girl" which had to be me. The 800 that is given on critical reviews phone is just a scripted speech from a technician who has no authority. I spent over 3 hours to customer service, (Angela) who was nice and transferred me to the warranty department (Kerel). No resolution. There was only one person who finally told me the truth. There is no Lowe's extended warranty. What you are paying for is a contract with third party services (Assurance) who may or may not be.certified. The worst customer service experience of my life and I am 73 years old. On January 11, 2025, I ordered online a new refrigerator and ice maker, I paid for delivery, water line, set-up and the removal of my old unit. On January 13, 2025, (Good fast delivery ruined) the delivery driver reported to me that the ice maker they received at the warehouse was missing parts and they would return with the complete one the next day. The next day came and went without an icemaker showing up. It took several hours to reach someone through the contact information provided via text. The person on the other end showed no record of the ice maker missing parts and her information showed it had already been delivered. After some time investigating, she rescheduled the delivery of the ice maker. The following week the delivery people showed up and tried to install the Ice maker, they could not install it as it did not connect electrically. It was the wrong model for the refrigerator I bought. It turns out that the wrong Ice maker is paired with the refrigerator on the Lowe's website. I discovered this myself after looking at the manufacturer's website and comparing model numbers. So a couple of days go by and I don't hear anything from Lowes so I call (this is never easy because the help desk sounds like it is overseas and you can never reach a first or second level person that can do anything other than read a script.) after finally reaching someone with a bit of proficiency in her job she informed me that the order had been summarily canceled - without my knowledge or consent. After much discussion I was informed that the only thing I could do now was to repurchase the correct Ice maker giving people credit card information on the other end of the line I would rather not have. Then I was informed that the part I ordered was on back order to Feb. 15, 2025. I did find the correct icemaker at other retailers in the area in stock that day. This is the point where they could have provided a true customer service experience by working with the manufacture to borrow one locally to solve my missing machine problem. I guess that kind of service is just too much to expect nowadays, especially considering I cannot even get a phone call from them without my initiation of it. Feb. 14, 2025, today, the deliver truck arrives and the driver comes to my door with a box in his hands and prepares to hand it to me? I informed him that it was to be installed. He flat out said no. I asked him to call his manager to get this straightened out. His phone was in his hand. He refused and said he is the manager and there was no one to call. They drove off with the box. I called the Clovis Lowes location and reached an Assistant Store manager, Ben that scheduled an installation delivery for tomorrow. Ben Is the first person that actually sounded concerned over my purchase problems, but the damage has been done. I will surely never buy an appliance from them again and will visit the store only as the last resort. Communication was by far the biggest problem here. All along the chain of employees information failed to reach the people that needed to know. It therefore failed to reach me. A centralized person with Knowledge and skill should oversee the deliveries with a single phone number to reach them. Having to communicate with so many people that neither had the skills knowledge or authority to do anything to solve this issue took my frustration level up and is so unnecessary. I bought a new refrigerator on Monday. Salesman said delivery on Wednesday between 8 & 8:30 AM. I saw him enter it in the purchase order. 9 am no delivery and no call. I called and was told it would be between 11 & 2. I am upset. No one called to inform me of the time change. I had another appointment at 11 that now I have to cancel. I need to be compensated for this unacceptable Lowes policy. It was delivered about 12:15. Now that the lighting has changed, we can see several scratches and small dents on the door of the refrigerator They scheduled a pick-up of the refrigerator for Monday. I was told I would get an e mail Sunday evening about what time they would be doing that. 7PM Sunday and no e mail or phone call. I called the store, I was told it was scheduled for 8 - noon, 4 Hour window is kind of ridiculous. Point being, when I bought it on Monday it was a scheduled for delivery Wednesday 8 am - 8:30 am and I would get a call on Tuesday to confirm. I never got a call and when I called them, they said it was rescheduled for 11 - 3 pm. I was upset because I had other appointments that afternoon. They called the delivery people and I was told they would be there by 10:30. More misinformation, they showed up at 11:45. Now I have 4 more hours wasted waiting for on delivery Monday. A 2 hour window is normal, 4 hours is ridiculous I have a 9 am dentist appointment now that I have to cancel. I really think whoever is in charge of delivery should rethink who they use and their policies. I brought a paint chip in, and told him it is definitely not gloss or semi gloss, he insisted it was. I kept telling him I don't want to paint the whole bathroom again. I showed him the van which was satin - at this point he sneakily said "yeah so GLOSS!" So I immediately took my sample back and said thanks for your help and left, because he was acting like an idiot! I went to Sherwin Williams, he confirmed it was not gloss- I have never ever bought gloss in my life! He was very nice and helpful courteous and kind. I usually shop at the Fresno location, but a number of times when they're out of something (or I need more of something than what they had in stock) I'll head to the Clovis location. I like that both stores are similarly set up and thank goodness for the signs on each aisle like they have at the grocery store letting you know what's where. I found some cabinet hardware on clearance at Fresno and thought oh!, maybe Clovis has a few left, too. Score! They did! One of the packages had been torn open and not all the drawer pulls were there, so I asked at the service desk if they would discount the clearance price. He did, I got 50% off the clearance price! I show my retired military I.D. To show who I am for the discount. She says thanks and I told her my truck was right outside the door. I'll be going back and forth to get the jugs. On my second trip, I tell her "this is three, I'll be back one more time for the last two". The SAME CASHIER THAT TOOK CARE OF ME! She says, ok. I come back for the last two, and she tells another lady to follow and check my truck. I look at her and she says, that's to many. I look at her and smile. The lady follows me, I yell to stop following me, I paid for five, I only got five. She said she still has to check. I WAS LIVID! I showed her my receipt, let her look, she saw the five and said, "thanks, we should be good"... I told her off for checking, told the cash register lady off for telling her to check and for Lowe's to F off because that was a total insult. Accusing me of stealing? After you checked me out, gave me a receipt, looked at my retired military I.D., still missed the military discount, and continued to insult me. I do not need insults like such. Once the manager came out, according to him, they check peoples cars. Hmm, I've bought water there since I've been home (early July). No one has EVER checked my car. EVER! You should not treat people like such. That's just basic courtesy's... Especially if you know they're retired military! I may have blown up and yelled a little, ok a LOT! Lowe's curb side pick up is a horrible. I went online and ordered some air filters for my HVAC unit in my home. I received an email from them telling me the order was ready. See attached photo. I went down to the store. I parked in a pick up space and called them to tell them I had arrived. The employee took my info and said she would be right out. A few minutes later she arrived with nothing in hand. She proceeded to tell me that my order was cancelled because my items were not in stock. I explained that I received their email telling me they were ready and asked her why they would send that if they didn't have the items. She said and I quote "I don't know why they would do that." So I left empty handed and pissed off. Unbelievable! So what happened? Did they sell my items to another customer. Apparently they were in stock when I ordered them. Or were they? Are their systems so inept that they didn't know they were out of stock. Or did they have them and sell them before I arrived. Who knows? There is no doubt that their system is badly broken. Not only did they not earn my money for the items, they wasted my time and my gas and caused serious frustration in the process. It's hard to provide much worse customer service than that. It shouldn't have been all too tough since it was not that busy at all. 40+ minutes later and a chat with a manager and I'm finally able to pay and leave with the four boxes I needed. This is a poorly managed and disorganized store. About half the time you cannot find the stock because they don't regularly are out of stock with poor inventory control. Asking for help is worthless. The associates don't know where stuff is and will send you in the wrong direction. That is, if you can find the associates. I've shopped here for 10-12 years and find any reason to avoid doing it now. Meanwhile the HQ in NC doesn't seem to care. l recently bought a Upright Kenmore freezer online 4/12/22.....when it was delivered the gentleman had me sign his laptop pad...no receipt was given. The instructions said to plug in for a couple of hours to let it get cold which we did......it got cold but didn't realize a week later it doesn't freeze anything. I have called to get help thru Lowe's service warranty dept. who won't service it until l show a receipt but they have record of my purchase and service warranty l bought! In the meantime my food is perishing! l will never purchase an appliance again thru them. I have allowed myself some time to reflect on my experience with Lowes and their appliance home delivery service. Unfortunately, I cannot overlook how unpleasant the delivery service turned out to be. I apologize in advance for the length of this review. We purchased a refrigerator, washer and dryer from Lowes. Delivery was scheduled for approx. a week later. I was sure to mention to the sales member to note that we were in a new 2-story home and the laundry room was on the top floor. We had scheduled for a Saturday and everything went according to plan with confirmation calls and the delivery team (Conner and Richard) showing up on time to our home. They inspected the area to be sure everything would fit accordingly and began the process. The dryer was installed without issue. Then came the washer, upon bringing the washer into the house, the two team members complained that this was the heaviest washer they had ever delivered. The comments caught me off-guard and I wasn't sure how I should respond. But I assured them that there was no hurry and they could take their time moving it up the stairs. They took a few minutes to prepare themselves and began trying to lift the unit. They tried to use moving straps but unfortunately, could not lift enough to clear the step. They then brought in a hand truck and proceeded to awkwardly struggle to take the washer up to the second floor. As they struggled, Conner kept cursing and insisting that Richard needed to push harder to move the washer. Again, this experience was becoming more uncomfortable and awkward, but I had waited over a week for my appliances and I really wanted to have everything installed. So I simply ignored the unprofessional behavior. Upon finally getting the washer up the stairs and into the washroom, Conner informed me that the wash plug had not been punched out and for liability reasons they could not punch it out to complete the installation. I had no idea what he was even talking about but asked my teenage son to try and help me take care of it. After a few minutes of us trying unsuccessfully to remove the plug, Conner impatiently commented his frustration that homeowners are often unprepared for their delivery, causing them to run behind. I couldn't believe his rudeness! I told him that if he had mentioned the plug when they arrived, my son and I could have researched how to remove the plug while he and Richard had struggled to get the washer up the stairs. We would have had plenty of time to find a video on YouTube and would have easily been informed enough to be able to remove the plug. He then proceeded to argue about how many deliveries he had remaining for the day and he simply could not wait for us to figure it out. Conner walked away from us continuing to rant and yell as he went back downstairs to bring in the refrigerator. I refused to deal with the plug any longer. I decided I would wait for my husband to come from work later in the day and let him resolve the matter. I came downstairs to find Conner bringing in the refrigerator at which time I began to ask him the name of the delivery company, his name and the name of his superior. He became agitated as he answered my questions and finally began to yell at me to call his boss. He kept yelling, "Call my boss! Call my boss! I want you to call my boss!" I could tell by his unprofessionalism and rudeness that nothing would be resolved by contacting his boss. I told him I would not call his boss and further I would not deal with his rudeness anymore. I asked him to leave. He yelled and ranted all the way out of my home, but luckily left without the matter escalating further. It took me time to calm down, this had all happened in front of my adolescent daughter and teenage son. After leaving, I found marks along the wall of the stairs where the washer had hit and rubbed as they had struggled up the stairs. Even though it is not a huge deal, I would not expect this from a professional service. I could not believe how this had all turned out. I complained to Lowes and they did schedule a different delivery team to return the next day to complete the installation. However, I would never want this to happen to anyone else. Although Conner worked for the delivery company, Towne Delivery Service. I did not hire them, Lowes did. I trusted Lowes would partner with a competent, professional company for deliveries. I feel disappointed, frustrated and disrespected in regard to my experience with Lowes and Towne Delivery Service. I hope this can save someone else from making the wrong choice for their appliance purchase. We have other options, I now wish I had gone somewhere else. read more

I'm giving two stars because maybe other parts of the store are better, but appliances are NOT - should be one or even zero. We ordered our appliances - washer, dryer, refrigerator - for a house we had just purchased but not yet moved into, so we had to arrange to be there for the deliveries. Hubby takes the day off to wait at the time given, only to get a call near the end of the time to be told it had to be cancelled until a later date. Grr. Two days later, should be there. They are, but they are very not great. The two guys act like they can't speak English so they can't be of much help. They only plug in the fridge, not take off/out any of the foam or plastic. Stick a hand in and indicate it is working. Plug in the washer & test it & indicate it is working. Plug in the dryer, but it makes a horrible noise. After investigation & the problem being found by my husband, not them, a HUGE dent on the side that is keeping the drum from rotating properly. So he asks them to take it back & they say they only drop off, not take back. Have to call store for help. We find later this is an outright lie and they were being extra lazy. Anyway, rather than call, we go directly to the store face-to-face and have pictures from both us and the delivery guys showing dent, and after quite some time, have it arranged that they will pick up the damaged dryer, but there is an issue getting a new one since they are out of stock in Clovis & nearest one is Madera. They tell us we can either have it delivered or go pick it up. We don't have a vehicle to hold a dryer, so arrange for delivery... or so we think. Half way across town to our other residence, we are called and told we have to call Madera and have them delivery by buying it over the phone ourselves. Pause here... have you ever tried calling Lowe's, and especially the appliance department? Any Lowe's. They almost NEVER answer! I call for twenty straight minutes, and finally the reach a guy in appliances, he explains how purchases aren't made over the phone, only online. So I have to call Clovis back and we play the phone game AGAIN for a much longer time, but the operator must have felt badly for me because she puts me through directly to a manager. She sounds nice and helpful, apologetic, sets up the return of the other dryer because apparently that wasn't even done correctly, confirming the address in Clovis (this comes into play later, just wait), and makes sure Madera knows that I have permission to buy over the phone for the replacement. I call Madera AGAIN, play the wait game, again, and this time that operator has to put me through to a manager. She gets everything down right, gets the order right, and everything seems to be good. The Clovis manager even calls back to make sure it went okay, and we confirm again that it did. Now, the day arrives for Lowe's to pick up the damaged dryer. Different delivery guy, which is when we find out the first ones were just being lazy (he asks why we didn't just have them return it & says himself they were being lazy). No problems. Done. Next day, new dryer supposed to arrive, so yet a third day our time is rearranged for Lowe's supposed schedule. Can you feel the stress?? While my husband is waiting, he gets a call from the driver saying they'll be there shortly. He waits awhile. No driver yet, but then a lady that bought a house from us over a year and a half ago in a different CITY saying Lowe's was there to pick up a damaged dryer! WHAT?!? I don't know if you're still with me on this long journey, but this is what you may get, so beware!!! Anyway, I call the Madera Lowe's and after the long phone game again, the manager there assures me that the delivery is still out and on its way, but he does see that Clovis Lowe's scheduled a pickup. I tell him that they already picked up, at the correct address, and we received the pickup tag to prove it. He is flummoxed and apologizes on behalf of Lowe's, but as I tell him, it's certainly not his or Madera's fault, but Clovis doesn't seem to know what it's doing! Eventually, we did get all of our appliances, and they are all currently working, but we never heard from Lowe's of Clovis again, even though it was clear that the driver who went to the wrong address didn't even have the balls to apologize and committed disclosure by giving out my husband's phone and info to the current resident (luckily a nice person & not a psycho). If we ever need another appliance, and we likely will, we will not go to Lowe's! read more

Terrible home delivery. I'll make this short because if it's too long, no one will read it. Ordered appliances, got it delivered. But there were missing parts. Delivery guys said someone will come the next day. I called and waited since 8am....everyone said "we'll look into and get back to you." Surprise no one did. I had to keep calling, and got the same response. Eventually I called and was told "sorry, delivery dept is closed..." What the hell is wrong with Lowe's??? read more

Great store. Everyone is extremely helpful, especially Mikaela. All staff members are wonderfu l when it comes to finding what we needed. Thank you Lowe's for have such great staffs. read more
