On Black Friday 2019 we purchased a Samsung gas range. 12/10/2019 the range was delivered damaged. I called Lowe's three times regarding the damage. I asked to speak to a manager. No manager was available. I was offered a call back from a manager. I wanted the range exchanged for a range without damage. 12/11 I spoke to Denise regarding the damaged range. She said a manager would call me back. Again I did not received a call back from Lowe's. 12/12 I called and spoke to Denise she promised a call back by a manager again. Denise later called me to confirm my address. Said they were ordering a replacement range. 12/26 The delivery guys installing the replacement range tore my floor and damaged my counter while removing the 1st range to install the replacement. I watched the guy tear the floor. I had to yell at him to stop moving the range. He said to me "I didn't do that". I replied "yes you did. I just watched you do that and had to tell you to stop!" He than stated "I own the company I'll have to pay for that". Me "yes you will. Call your insurance". He rushed outside, called someone and came back with his phone asking me to sign it. I refused as I could not read what I was signing. He went back outside. The other guy asked if I signed it. I could not hear what the floor ripper replied. The range these guys delivered was damaged worse than the first one. They bent it in the middle while bringing it into my home I did not want these guys to remove it. I just wanted them out of my house. I followed up with Lowe's. I called spoke to Denise explained what happened. A few days later I received a call from DSI LOGISTICS saying I signed for the damage. Ridiculous! I went to Lowe's in Cotati and spoke to John the manager about this. We went to the appliance department together to confirm a replacement range was ordered. John said they have had a lot of problems with DSI Logistics, not to worry my floor and counter will be taken care of. "We have been trying to get rid of DSI Logistics don't worry We will take care of it!" Said John. 1/14/2020 I called and spoke to Tim in delivery. He will order a new stove and will have the manager John call me. He asked for my email address and said he will deal with DSI Logistic insurance regarding my damages. 1/16 I called to speak to John. He was not available so Corbin another manager wanted to know what he could do to help. I explained the problems I had and the discussions with John, Tim and Denise. He said he would check on the claim with DSI Logistics. He would also follow up with John. He didn't see a replacement order. He said he would call me back or have John call me. 1/20 I called Lowe's and spoke to Vince a Lowes Manager he confirmed a range was ordered and would follow up about the delivery date. And call me back. 1/21 John called about damage I explained the letter DSI was sending. He said to bring him a copy of the letter when I receive it. My floor and counter will be taken care of not to worry. He will check on range delivery date. He called me back and confirmed 2/14 delivery date. I received the letter at the end of January and dropped a copy off for John at Lowe's. I have not heard from anyone at Lowe's. I've called and spoke to DSI Logistics a few times on 1/16 Diana Sontoyo said I'll get a letter. I did receive a letter at the end of January stating "....we do not believe that the delivery team was responsible for the damage claimed". They continue to say "We regret that you have experienced this unfortunate incident". I didn't move the stove, the delivery team did and the damage begins under the stove. I watched him tear the floor. 1/27 Denise called she said she will get replacement range ordered as it had not yet been ordered. Delivery date 2/14/2020 2/14 The replacement range was delivered it has scratches on the front under the display. I went to Lowes to speak with any manager. No one available. I explained the problems to a clearly and was advised they would pass the information to John. To date I have not heard from anyone at Lowe's! My floor and counter is not repaired. The replacement range with the scratches is still here. I'm not at all satisfied with Lowe's Bottom line they did damage, did not take responsibility and they sell damaged items. RATING IS FOR CARPET INSTALLERS My landlord ordered carpet, linoleum and 4 major appliances in APRIL, for the second time, the carpet installers were scheduled to START AT 10am!! I saw them sitting outside at 8am. I unlocked my gate, cracked open the front door and intermittently worked on stripping my bed and moving some things, taking frequent breaks sitting in my chair by the front door. I have a bad leg and can't do much physical activity. I figured they just got here early and would open the gate, knock on my door or contact my landlord...NOPE, they just left!!! The workers never opened the gate nor did they knock on the door!! This is unacceptable!!! A month ago, I was home all day and they claimed they had showed up and left a note on my gate. No way. Right now, everything I own is outside and has been outside exposed to the elements since April when they said the install would first happen. Management needs to know that this is the third strike!! Today two different sales associates had no idea where an item was...both said they knew they had the item, but didn't offer to find out where it was. Terrible customer service. To make things better the sales clerk told me they don't offer bags to their customers. So if you buy a bunch of things your on your own. Again. Terrible. I am documenting this story as a warning to other consumers as the Lowe's in Cotati has effectively stolen approximately $800 from my partner and I by not honoring our in-store credit card. Here is our story; in 2017 I purchased flooring from Lowe's department store in Cotati with cash. My partner and I installed the flooring and after the job was complete, we returned about $1,000 in unused flooring materials. We were told that we were not eligible for a refund but were provided a card for in store credit. At the time we were told we would need to present a driver's license to utilize the card as they were connected. After evacuating from the Nuns Canyon Fire in 2017 we decided to move out of our home in the Sonoma Valley and relocated to the Russian River where the redwood trees and flowing water seemed to provide more shelter from raging wildfires. We moved into our new place in April of 2018 and bought some paint with the in-store credit card, about $200 worth, to paint the interior of the house. Shortly thereafter my partners wallet was stolen. We contacted the police department and filed a report. The in-store credit card from Lowe's was in the stolen wallet. At the time we were not concerned about the card being used by the thief as we were told it was only valid with ID. When we contacted Lowe's in Cotati we were told that there was no way to use the in store credit card if the card was missing. When we asked about the connection between the driver's license and the card, we were told that only at the time of purchase would the driver's license be needed for validation. That there was no way to connect the license to the card or verify our in-store credit. Having a hard time digesting the fact that $800 of in store credit was just gone, we contacted the customer service corporate office. Initially we were told that someone would be in touch after they had investigated the incident further. We were told this on three separate occasions, alas no one called us back and upon contacting management in Cotati were told our case had been closed, to our dismay. After going back in forth via phone for a few months we decided to carve out some time on the weekend and head down to the store to see if we could speak to someone in person and get to the bottom of the issue. A representative told us that they could track down the card details through the purchase of the paint supplies. So, we dug through our basement to find the old paints cans from Lowe's. We returned to the Cotati store the next weekend and spent the day talking with different managers trying to troubleshoot ways to verify our in-store credit card making no headway. That day a corporate representative told us that if we could just find the date of the paint purchase, they would be able to find the card. We presented the paint cans, with the purchase date shortly thereafter and were told that the Cotati store only had wiped their data in June and therefore there was no way to verify the in-store credit. A customer service representative from the national corporate office said this was unusual, if it were any other store, they would have been able to find the transaction details. Cotati is unique in that they wipe their data from time to time. So here we are about one year later and more than 6 months of trying to get to get back our $800 from Lowe's. No one ever mentioned they wipe their data or seemed to care enough to call us back or notify us that our case had been closed. Lowe's in Cotati has effectively stolen $800 from my partner and I, offered no apology or attempt to rectify the matter. I am appalled with the Lowe's Cotati incompetence and corporate policies that do not reflect the marketing values they claim. We are in the middle of remodeling our home and had planned to source all of our materials at Lowe's, much more than $800 worth of materials. I will never again shop at Lowe's. DO NOT BUY AN IN STORE CREDIT OR GIFT CARD AS THE POLICIES ARE NOT SETUP TO HONOR THE TRANSACTION IN THE EVENT THE CARD GOES MISSING OR IS STOLEN. read more

I ordered my fridge online, the gentlemen who delivered were very respectful, kind and helpful. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size. That day I went to Lowe's to get some help in making sure I purchase one that is the right size. Jairo in the appliance department was a huge help! He got my new refrigerator ordered and the other one returned. He even followed up after I left the store to confirm that everything was paid for and that my delivery would be at my house in the next couple days. When I got there, after a 50 minute drive, they only had 7. I needed 24. They did have plenty of 16 footers. But they would only make 6 cuts. Company policy. This location has become an absolute dumpster fire! The lack of BASIC customer service skills is astounding to me. So many employees in this big building and nobody gives a shit about you. You are nothing to them, they don't care about you here. Well this is it for me. It became so difficult dealing with Lowe's that they made me write a yelp review. The time has come to remodel our kitchen. A pretty big and expensive task. Around our area we have plenty of options for kitchen remodeling and after getting a 3D render plans from Alex (who was awesome by the way), we decided to go with Lowe's. A few visits later we had chosen most of the appliances, sinks, countertops and backsplash. Everything was set, but we needed to make minor changes to a few thing. I can't always make it to Lowe's during business hours, so I ASSUMED that this company cares about sales. I called on my breaks, lunches and even the commute home but nobody seems to be able to answer the phones. Don't even bother trying to use the automated directory, nobody answers that. Even if you are LUCKY enough to get an answer, then you get to stay on secondary hold. Once that goes on and rings for 4 minutes, then it HANGS UP ON YOU. Then you get to start all the way over. I've asked to speak to store managers and that goes nowhere. After a week of this we went with our second choice and couldn't have been happier. (because they actually answered their phones) I know that my tiny $40,000 kitchen remodel won't put a dent in their bottom line, but they have lost me as a customer which is worth much, much more. Lowe's has a huge selection of gardening supplies: all varieties of planters (hanging and otherwise) made of many different materials, plus an unbelievable array of flowers, shrubs, and vines; their nursery probably has the most complete stock of plants in the area, not including actual nursery businesses. Another department I love is the electrical/lighting section. Again I was pleasantly surprised to find a well-selected assortment of lamps. She listens and does everything in her power to satisfy your desire. She is a Sales Specialist, in plumbing. "Jules" previously helped me purchase a Kohler toilet. I had lots of questions and I was looking for a one-piece toilet. She looked on line and we found one I liked and she ordered it. It looks great. Today she helped me with some questions about changing my shower and tub fixtures. Plumbing is complicated, who knew, but "Jules" is an expert. Every time she helps me I feel like my sister or best friend is helping me find just the right fit for me. I leave thinking, wow, she really cares about my project. DO NOT USE FOR CUSTOM SHOWER DOOR INSTALLATIONS. In March 2020 we started work with Lowe's Cotati on custom shower install. 1. Communication has been the worst. Very poor communication by phone and email, non-responsive. Had to go into to store several times to follow up and push process along. 2. Contractor who Lowe's used made errors in their measurements reported of our shower. Lowe's staff advised us to complete/adjust measurements. 3. Lowe's staff continued to make mistakes on shower model ordered. We constantly had to check their work and redirect them on correct model and very basic features ordered. 4. After questioning obvious inconsistencies with quote (sliding door verse swing door, etc) it was determined the quote we were given was for a different customer. After over 6 weeks of trying our best to keep Lowe's staff focused and redirect their mistakes, we had to give up. We were too concerned that at the end final result would be a mess. We bought an appliance online and thus began our attempts to reach anyone by phone at the Cotati store. They just DON'T pick up. I've been calling for literally months and it typically takes 5-6 calls over the course of a day to get anyone live on the phone. You can ask the automated system for Operator or a department but it doesn't matter - answering the phone is not a priority for that location. Not at all. I have never set foot in the place but really don't want to, I'd just hear endless phones ringing all over the place. We love our purchase but the endless time listening to the phone ring and ring and NO ONE picks up. When you do get a live person good luck in reaching a specific employee. They seem to have many days off, lots of vacations, and odd hours. I've attempted to contact them about other items and other potential purchases but have just given up. They aren't worth it and frankly, I will spend my money where I know I am valued. Avoid the Cotati store if you value your time, energy and sanity. read more

I do not recommend this store if you need anything delivered or installed. I ordered from the store which had it available, a slide in range/oven. It took 5 minutes to buy this unit, but they use a 3rd party delivery/installation service, which is located in the LA area. The installers came from Richmond. For my FIRST delivery time Lowes could not tell me the time frame, I had to wait til 6PM the day before to get a recorded message telling me the time was from 3:30-7:30PM..... Well, the time came and went, NO delivery, NO PHONE CALL,....I ATTEMPTED to call the store which was open til 9:00PM, NOT A SINGLE PERSON INSIDE THIS STORE ANSWERED., as well as NO answering machine would kick in to leave any messages in ANY Dept in this store.,, I went to the store at 6:30 AM the following day, located the delivery manager, who checked and told me that the delivery people had been to my house at 3:56 PM, they took a pix of my house BUT DID NOT LEAVE ANY NOTE or call me to say they were there EARLY. I missed them by 5 minutes. The delivery manager then gave me the phone number for the delivery service telling me I had to deal with them.....BUT THAT SINCE THEY WERE EARLY THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO WAIT TIL THE STATED DELIVERY TIME OF 3:30... I made 3 separate trips to THIS STORE ATTEMPTING TO SET THE 2ND DELIVERY TIME FOR MORNING THE FOLLOWING DAY..... The second delivery was finally completed the following day by this company, no markings on their truck....The delivery people did NOT DO A PROPER INSTALLLATION, I had to request twice for them to please put the oven in to fit properly. THEY DAMAGED A CABINET DOOR, breaking the hinge, stating he did not cause the damage. The delivery person also stated there were "extra parts"..... but left without giving them to me, I had to order these parts from SAMSUNG after realizing they did not leave them after I ordered them out of my house.. I called the deliver company who told me the part was an "extra", IT WAS NOT, SAMSUNG IS SENDING ME THE PARTS THAT THIS COMPANY TOOK. Cashier waited on phone for IT support for 25+ minutes to complete my cabinet order (using a new computer system that even they said wasn't even tested), the manager didn't show up (after being called 3 x), and the line was backing up. One employee is consistently (several occasions) extremely rude to customers. The other employee is so irresponsible as to set up a meeting several weeks in advance for convenience of her own schedule to finalize a substantial purchase (due to customers having to travel far for the meeting because of not being allowed to finalize purchase on-line due to Lowes policy forcing us to finalize in person), only to not show up for the meeting with no notice despite numerous attempts to contact this employee and not even arranging coverage from another employee. This place has two stars for a reason. Not a single staff member knew a single f***ing thing besides Evan. Spent an hour in there looking for part and only got about half of what we needed. One of the staff members we talked to just complained about how understaffed they were. Super professional! It wouldn't have been such a problem if any of them were helpful. But the worst part was the women working the register (terminal: 09 at 1:40) who just stood there and laughed while our flimsy bag ripped and my father who has a bad back strained to pick them up. I've had two similar issues with Lowes Cotati, and they all seem to be the same root cause: no one to help you, or no one wants to help you. First time was a wrong address for a large delivery. And the second was for the second half of a delivery that I placed January 20th, and it is now April 5th. In both instances, I tried for hours and a few days to reach someone to help me. There is genuine feeling of apathy from the store. Here are some things I noted: 1. You can not seem to call the store and actually reach anyone. No one picks up the the phone until you are disconnected. And when you are lucky enough to get someone, they transfer you to someone else, only to be stuck in the same loop until you are disconnected again. 2. The automated phone system which tries to help you navigate is maddening when you've heard it hundreds of times, trying to to reach anyone to help you. 3. Calling the Lowes (general) Customer Care number is better, but they usually get put on hold too. There seems to be no direct way to reach a manger, which is the only way to get things done. Even then, it takes a while to get things resolved. Then you need to try to get a hold of a manager again. read more

I took it back to Lowe's since it was their brand and since I purchased it there and they told me the warranty had expired. I paid over $200 for it and they basically told me they could not do anything about it. They have the worst customer service and they basically don't care about their customers. I am stunned that this store can consistently mess up orders that take hours to configure and confirm. I have had orders get messed up in the past, but due to need I took a chance and we placed an order that we went over and over with the sales associate in doors and windows in April. I double checked every single detail and after waiting 4 weeks they delivered an entirely different door. We went into the Cotati store and the customer service rep in that dept was kind and apologetic. He worked with us to recreate the correct order. It was not his fault, as he had not written up the previous order. He said he would get approval for the cost value difference of the actual door we had orders as it was more expensive than the what I thought was pricey amount for the door we received. He said he would put in a request for a pick up of the wrong door for Monday. I spend literally two solid hours of repeated phone calls before I could reach an actual human being at Lowe's. I was told the pick up had been scheduled for Tuesday after I already re-arranged my entire client schedule so I could be home today as they told me was required. I was told I need to speak to the delivery coordinating manager who is on lunch to see if they can fit me in today. If not, I need to take tomorrow off and wait as well. The correct door may or may not come through in another 4-6 weeks. We lost the appt we had booked with our very busy carpenter friend as well and are looking at mid summer to have the installation of something I paid for in April. The funny things is that I received a "rate us" attachment with my receipt that says they aim for a 10 and if not then the customer should ask to speak to a manager to let them know why they wouldn't get top marks. Rarely does it happen where the floor person actually knows the answer to my question and rarely does the person on the floor respond with any kind of appreciation for my visit. I don't expect a royal carpet, but when I ask a dumb-ass question, treating me like a dumb-ass isn't going to get me to come back. This was especially true this morning when that bearded guy with the earring could not be bothered his hole to walk down to the hardware section and point out where the screws were that I couldn't find, after scolding me, I'm not kidding, for not finding them in the first place. What an a-hole. He came by about two minutes later after maybe he decided he'd better do what he's paid to do, but at that point I was done with him. The most surprising thing when I first looked at this was that they had two stars. I would've assumed one which is what I'm giving. Bought a $1500 washer dryer combo. Delivered in a reasonable amount of time three days but when I got home my son informed me that the reason it was sitting in the living room and not upstairs in the cubby is that because they don't come with the power cord which you have to order online or go in the store yourself and purchase. They refuse to put it in its alcove or even carry it upstairs because there wasn't a pan to put beneath it . When I paid the $21 for the court the rep refused to send a tech out to carry it up or even schedule it because I didn't have the work order. Worst customer service that I've ever received when making a large purchase. You get better service at Walmart. If upper management reach days don't take it personal but I'm never going back to use your store and I will refer everyone I know to avoid it as well until comprehensive customer service reform is initiated. We went to lowes looking at updating our kitchen sink. We needed to replace and rotten wood too. Upon asking a couple employees in the plywood section about what would be the best water resistant product, they kind of shrugged and did we should maybe ask the pro desk. We went there to find a grow at his computer who ignored us until I asked if he could help or was it someone else? Just got hung up on from Danny at Lowe's Cotati. Evidently, The Manager on Duty (Sean) is on lunch at 3pm and can't pickup the phone. I have been dealing with the installs department since November of last year for Milgard windows and Patio door and since then, it has taken weeks to get a damage window received by the store installed and Milgard has promised to fix a faulty Patio door and stood me up twice. I left Home Depot for their poor service hoping Lowe's was better and now find Home Depot to be the better option. I understand these are difficult times, but I have to coordinate a 2 week notice to take a day off from work. Neither Lowes nor Milgard seem to care. Is this real life?!? I drove from Santa Rosa to purchase 2 pieces of tile and I needed them to be cut. All I needed was 2 inches cut off each side. I couldn't find anybody in the flooring department so I walked over to the lighting department looking for help. I see a worker there and I ask if he can help. His response was "I don't work in that department and don't know anything about tile". I asked "can you call somebody to help me?". He said no because the 3 people working in that department are out smoking cigarettes together. Wtf? I asked him if they cut tile and he said he didn't know. He suggested I walk up and down the isles to see if I can find a cutting station. I found it!! Hooray!! So I find somebody else and I'm told there's nobody there that can cut tile for me and I showed up at a really bad time. IT'S SATURDAY!!! Hello?!? After 30 minutes of twittling my thumbs I finally get approached by Keenan who asked if he could help. He cut my tile and I was on my way to the check out line. Self check out was the only option and the lady working self check out was not pleasant. I explained very calming about the service I experienced and her response was "well normally they are pretty good back there". I get home and my tile is not cut properly. I was there to purchase a lawn mower. Nobody was there to help us in the lawn mower department. As I was walking toward the register I seen the lawn mower I was looking for. As I approach the register the amount that was rang up was wrong. We waited for a price check. The person doing the price check was Taylor. She was very rude to me. I showed Taylor were the lawn mower I grab was and the price. She was RUDE AND SPOKE TO ME WITH NO RESPECT. What happen to customer service? Something that she needs to be taught.
