Lowe's has a pretty good website so ordering online would be okay, but when we needed a sink for the kitchen we wanted to see what they were like in person. They only have some of the kitchen sinks they offer online here at the store and it's an odd subset of their total offerings limited by size and brand. In other words, there are no examples of some common kitchen sink sizes, nor do they have samples of some of the brands they sell. The display is such that we couldn't get a hand on them to feel thickness, sturdiness, padding, or surface feel because they were mounted high up on a display wall out of reach. There were a couple of workers in the area but they were engrossed in a personal conversation and didn't have time to help us. Still, better than the other big box DIY stores. read more

We bought a washing machine and had it delivered. The manufacturer (Whirlpool) provides only a 3-foot drainage hose (ridiculous!), so we had to go back to the store to buy an extension. The store did not have an extension, only an entirely new hose...which means we have to have the unit moved from its location and the hose reinstalled. Since we paid for installation, we asked that this reinstallation be covered for free. Juan, Lowe's employee, was very helpful to us in getting this situation taken care of and the reinstallation arranged and scheduled. He also was very understanding, since it was obvious that we found the situation upsetting. (Whirlpool also put a sticker over the control panel which, when it was removed, damaged the control panel: more ridiculous!) He worked with us until the issue was resolved to our satisfaction, and was friendly and understanding throughout. He made a bad situation better. Give Juan a raise. He deserves it! read more

I had a problem with a delivery that came from this store. I called the main phone number 5 times, and they dropped the call every time after having to go through an annoying automated help line. Then I called the "Pro Desk" number. I got a live person who said should would look up my order. After being on hold for almost 15 minutes, I hung up and called again. After 4 more tries and no one answering, I called another store. I did get someone at another store on the first try. They said the manager would call me back. Still waiting. At this point, I am done with Lowe's. I will never buy anything from them again. read more

As a new home owner, I feel like I basically live at home improvement stores, but we keep finding ourselves coming back to Lowe's. (They had a lawn mower on sale, a points/rewards system, so we had $5 off to use right away and of course you're then hooked to remain loyal and keep building those points!) That being said, all of the staff have been helpful finding things, picking out the correct paint, making returns when we need to, and allowing us to come back when we buy more than we can fit in the car for one trip. Went to purchase mulch today and was pleasantly surprised to find a drive thru line to pick it up staffed by Jacob, who helped us load the car! Purchased a fiberglass front door from Lowe's on April 24, 2025. We waited patiently for the door to arrive. It was installed on June 27. Lowe's said installers would arrive between 8 am and noon. The installers arrived after 2 pm (kind of a wasted day on our part, wish there would have been better communication.) When purchasing the inside door, we stated we wanted to keep our existing storm door. We were told by Lowe's that was no problem. Turns out the installer said he would not be able to install our existing storm door. Although the bottom off the inside door and frame were the proper width, the TOP of the inside door and frame were TOO NARROW and needed to be fixed before a storm door could be installed. A service person from the contracted install company came out 2 weeks later to diagnose the problem. He said a part was needed and it would be ordered right away. He said he told Loewe to order it. It's been three weeks now and after several calls to Lowe's Customer Service my part still has not been ordered. Each of calls had me on hold for 20 minutes and ended with "we will order the part and will call you in 2 days with an update". No calls ever came. Each time I had to call and was given the reply mentioned. They think they might order it soon, but someone will call me (again). After spending thousands of dollars on this door, we did not expect the poor installation (they use a national service company not local professionals), and Loewe's inability to follow up on a problem. We paid Lowe's at time of ordering for the door and installation. They have not kept their end of the bargain by not resolving this matter in a timely fashion. I would never do business with this company. If you are buying anything that includes an installation beware. read more

Waited way too long to get wood boards cut. Then I had to explain to the afroamerican cashier that a six foot board cut in half is still a six foot board for billing purposes. She seemed to think that I was trying scam the store. She wanted to charge me twice for two boards that were halves of the same whole board! IT'S THE SAME BOARD CUT IN HALF! read more

I am truly disappointed to have to leave this review. I have attempted multiple avenues to work with the store to resolve our complaint. This store picked up quite a large order of items (after a comedy of errors deck project) and has neglected to return all the items they picked up. The supervisor from the pro desk was kind and professional when we were in store, but does not respond to emails to have the situation resolved. At the end of the day, I do not trust the integrity of the leadership at this store. They are clearly ok from blatant theft from their customers and so I would be wary of shopping here. read more

I bought a washer and dryer 01/09/21 paid $2021.76 got 5 year protection plan. It's 3 years later and they still have never fixxed my appliances. I am out of pocket over $600.00 paying for repairs myself, and they have the nerves to put me on the phones for 2 to 3 hours trying to tell me how to fix my own washer and dryer!! I was in need to keys being made. Was sent to the key machine. Waited and waited. Lots of employees around. Group of guys standing nearby chatting away. Laughing having a good time. Pressed the button several times for assistance. No one came. 21 minutes I waited- no help. Mind you this was at 9:30 am in early November. So I go the MyKeys station, standing there trying to make a key when I was hit by incoming carts. An older employee didn't want to be bothered by actually walking carts in so he was flinging them in. Hit me in the leg and hip with a projected cart. Didn't feel to good. Do NOT go to this Lowe's if you want service. You won't get it here. I was charged plumbing permit and and electrical permit to get my dishwasher intsalled. When the inspecter came sto my home he said there was no electrical permit pulled, and failed my inspection. Now I have to hire a electrician and pay for the electric permit again. I got no refund from the store for unpulled permits. read more

I wanted to share my story with you. I was in store 2554 Franklin, WI 5/15 at 4:30. I did a pick up for a few small items. I was mortified to find 3 employees (Women on the right as well. You can kind of see her nose) all we're wearing their masks incorrectly. These coworkers clearly were not able to have 6 feet in between them. I am reminded that myself wearing a mask does not protect myself but rather others. So I wear my mask correctly every time I'm in the store to protect employees and other shoppers. So why is it ok that not 1 but 3 employees cannot bother to wear masks that are there to protect me? I have to believe that even when the store manager is not in the building there is a manager on duty. Why is this not part of their rounds? I also work retail and have to wear my mask 8 hours a day. This is regularly checked and monitored by our MOD. One of my items was damaged and I have to do a return. I don't even know when I will be back. So I sit with a damaged outdoor chaise lounge hoping it does rust and get on my patio. read more

Customer "no-service" staff only repeat the same little speech. That includes the trainee, his mentor, the shift head cashier, and the shift assistant manager. The manager on duty, stayed in the back of the store because he was too busy to talk with me. Despite the fact that I'd provided the original gift card and all the paperwork, they refused to put the refunded money back on the gift card. Instead, they insisted on handing an "in-store only" credit. They refused to listen to what corporate Lowes had instructed, in print, to simply use a blank gift card and place that in-store only amount on the card. Interestingly, their store refund policy is against state law. The only appropriate situations for in-store credit is when there was no receipt or the item was a gift. When a person shows the receipt, the refund should be of "like kind." read more

I went with this store to order blinds since a friend said they had the best price. Yup- you get what you pay for. The communication with staff is so frustrating . First it is hard to get a person to answer the phone to even leave a call back number. After spending lots of $$ Im still dealing with a defective blind after it has replaced already after a month of the original . So much poor communication. In reading just a few reviews, I'm terrified to make my trip today to Lowes! Purchased a frig for my grand-daughter back in Sept, 2018. At first I thought they were great - delivered next day as great-grandson has diabetes and medicine needs to be refrigerated. SIX times since then, grand-daughter has received a run-around on repairs. Latest is "she can buy a new frig, pay for it, and pay delivery, set up and removal of old herself". This is from a "contracted" warranty rep. To date, the milk is kept in the "freezer" area in order to keep it cool. Really???????? Being a past material's manager with a well known appliance manufacturer, they should know better than to treat customers this way. I certainly hope they weigh the consequences of their actions. I have no problem taking this on and on and on. UPDATE: 3/4/19 Met with Lowes this morning. Was impressed with response. Willing to resolve. They will bring a new fridge out and replace. Designer is Awesome Jeannette, the designer, is absolutely awesome. She's quite creative and suggests choices and variations that worked out very well for us. She drew the kitchen layout and showed us examples. It's like we knew what we wanted but couldn't put it into words. She made it a reality. The only reason this store doesn't get the fifth star is that their system for picking up orders is flawed. Their website says there are dozens in stock and allows online order for pick up. Have you ever gone to a store, saw about fifteen people doing nothing and yet none of them can seem to help you? I can say that I have now! I spent my half my day looking for sidewalk salt. I went to a Christmas tree lot that was promising $5.49 50 LB. bags and knocked on their creepy shoddy camper door (what is this, Scooby Doo?) to no answer, so I drove to 27th to hit the Bermuda Triangle of Big Box Hardware Stores. After deciding Menard's was charging too much, I conducted a quick search of the net, finding the price at Lowe's reasonable. I can't remember the last time I was in this Lowe's, so I went in and assumed that the salt would be in the garden center like it was at Menard's. It wasn't. I went to the store part to ask someone, and everyone was walking past me too fast for me to even ask! I walk pretty fast and I couldn't keep up. You could have played the Benny Hill music as I kept going up and down aisles trying to chase down the woman working in the Garden area. When I finally ran into a worker, I asked him where the sidewalk salt is. He said "I don't know, I don't work in this area. Maybe it's up front". This doesn't work for me. I've worked in retail. You get familiar with the store and if you can't find something, you drag that customer to someone who can find it. I went up front and there was no sidewalk salt to be found. Just as I was about give up and go to Home Depot, I saw two workers driving a forklift with a pallet of sidewalk salt. I ran over to where they were and saw a FULL AISLE of rock salt towards the middle of the store. SMDH. I grabbed my bags and went to the checkout. At least Alicia the checkout girl was nice. I always park in back of parking lots. I get more exercise by walking the extra distance, as well as my car is less likely to be damaged. Almost every other Big Box in the world has at least a few cart corrals in the back of the lot, yet this store must put them all right in the front. I wheeled the cart to the car, unloaded the salt, rolled the cart to the corral, pulled out the baby and walked all the way back to the car. I should have had that frozen custard, I certainly burned enough calories to cover any weight gain. This might be the least convenient big box anywhere. read more

When my wife and I first moved to Franklin, we shopped between many stores to furnish our house with appliances. Overall, this store had the best price with the sale going on that weekend. This hooked us in 2011, and we continued shopping here for years. Fast forward to Fall 2014/Winter. Over the last few years, service has simply deteriorated. It has gone downhill, and has been atrocious at times. I have called corporate about experiences, and there has been no follow through from anyone at the store. Each time we've talked to the flooring department, we are made to feel inferior and as if we don't know anything. While I understand that the people there are "experts" in their departments, they should be helpful and friendly to those coming in that are NOT as knowledgeable.... not "push-offy". What finally pushed us away: I had purchased a new dishwasher online around Christmas. I was told that it would be delivered to the store in 2-4 weeks. After three weeks, I called to see what the status was. The store had no idea, couldn't find the order, and didn't help at all. I called corporate, and they told me they found the order and it would be delivered within the week. I called again, they magically found it, and told me it would be ready. I have had experiences prior, and called to talk to a manager two hours before coming in. I explained the situations, and the manager PROMISED me up-and-down that he would have the dishwasher at the front, ready to be loaded in as soon as I got there. Hah. Should I have been so naive? It took over fifteen minutes for them to get it from the back and bring it up. Overall, I'm just frustrated with the lack of helpfulness at this store. The Menards across the street is far superior, and has always been a huge help. We have shifted our "allegiance" to the east side of 27th street, and will be there until further notice! read more

Horrible horrible service. Placed an online pickup order and no one to process it. Order was not ready yet. Asked if I could go pull it myself which I did and no one working there could locate one of the products. Going as far as asking me did you order it from the store? One of the items was topsoil. Regular old topsoil. Yet not a soul could locate it. Lowe and behold there was a pallet of it for shelves up. When asked how long it would take 25 minutes to a half-hour. When I said forget it I'll skip the topsoil I would just like a refund on it I was told sorry we can't refund your order for 48 hours. Are you freaking kidding me. I had an appointment for someone to come out for a quote to replace my roof. I received a call confirming the appointment earlier in the day. About an hour before my scheduled time I received a voicemail indicating that the company 'drove by' and said he couldn't do the job because there are 4 or 5 layers..lol. Stopped in today to buy a grill. It was available online but special order in store. I'm a vet so I wanted to use my discount. I also had another 10% off card Lowes mailed to me. With the help of the associate we entered the order which had to ship to the store. It would have been nice to get a direct ship. He offered to take it out of the box so I could get it in my trunk if necessary. I went to the service counter to pay with my discount info and a gift card, absolutely no problems. We ordered a shed kit on 5/2/2020 for delivery. It was to be delivered 5/27. On 5/27, I received a call from Lowes delivery at the Franklin store. I was told that the flatbed driver called in sick, so we would have to schedule for 5/28. Ok, no problem. 5/28...no call, no delivery. I called there, spoke to the delivery department at 10 am. The girl could not determine where the item was. Said she will talk to another person and call me back. Nothing. Called back at 3 pm. Spoke to a woman that said she couldn't tell if the company made it yet. Huh? I asked her what that even meant, since the delivery department had called the day before... She said that she couldn't tell if the manufacturer "did anything with the order yet." Then she said, "I can just cancel it for you." Um, no. We already waited a month. I purchased an $756 oven from them. I purchased the haul away package. They tell me they're arriving 8-12 so i take off work, they don't come until 7pm so i had to take off from coaching just for them to tell me they couldn't take my oven, so i need to reschedule. I am annoyed, i call, on hold forever, call disconnected 5 times before i actually get a human at the store, not to mention i was on hold earlier with the 1-800 for AN HOUR before getting a human. So, Monday comes, I take off again, they arrive, no call so i am scrambling to quickly put my dogs away, the oven arrives with FIVE different dents on it. I am LIVID. I tell them to take it back, i am told by a woman at the Franklin, WI store the next delivery day will be 6/29-6/30, 20 DAYS after when it was supposed to be delivered, with no oven. I was told management would follow up and that i will be called. NO ONE calls me. I have to try to get a hold of them, i am told someone will call me back two different times, no one ever does. So, i have to call the 1-800 number again only to be told the store filled with people who never do as they say, for them to refund me. Guess what? No one called me. I finally had to call this morning, spoke with a manager, and i also had to ask her for a sorry, she didn't even say sorry. Pathetic. read more

The workers and personnel were nice and helpful. the job was completed with some difficulties because I was sold items that did not work. The contractors were great and the job was completed. now 5 moths later the fixtures are corroded and rusting leaving stain on the shower liners. The wall liners in the shower are now separating from the wall. I have called and talked to the manager sat the store and they said they would get back to me. I'm a fairly handy guy, so I spend my fair share of time in hardware/home improvement stores. 99 times out of 100 I will find myself at a smaller, neighborhood hardware store. Why? Because at these big box stores, I CAN NEVER FREAKING FIND ANYTHING! I feel like Moses wandering through the desert. This Lowe's location was pretty empty while I was there, and I don't know how many employees I saw not doing a whole lot while I wandered hopelessly around looking for stuff. In the end, I found what I needed at a pretty good price. I really wish they carried Milwaukee Electric tools, because their brands leave something to be desired. The store is clean and not blindingly lit like Menards, so it gets bonus points. read more

They have everything you can think of and my favorite - decorations galore! How do you guarantee your store to lose a sale? By not calling the customer back on the last day of a sale, that's how. We are under new construction and were pricing two front doors. I had came in the evening before and had a quote all printed out and everything. The next day my builder knew I was ordering the doors and had told me that he accidentally said we needed two 36" instead of one 36" and one 32". So I called Stephanie and the person who answered reassured me that she would be in at 1:00 (20 min from the time I called) and that she would call me. I explained that I had came in for pricing and he looked my info up on the computer and saw that. I told him that I just needed them to see if I could get one of the door styles in a 32" instead of a 36". After giving Stephanie the chance to call me back, I felt it was fair for me to retry her 5 hours later. Again I was told she just stepped away from her desk and would be back within minutes. I told the person on the line that I needed to order the doors and I wanted to take advantage of the sale so PLEASE have her call back. I had called earlier, etc,etc. NO CALL BACK THAT EVENING OR TODAY!!!! Nothing! Really? I start calling at 12:40 and I can't get a return call? So I drove to Delevan instead and helped there store numbers out. I spent almost $2400 and had the best salesman, Roger help me. He couldn't have been more pleasant. I ordered a door on Lowe's website and had it shipped here for pickup. I'm not talking about a screen door or something little--this is a 250lb cellar door. So imagine my surprise when it took the customer service staff an hour and a half to find it (on a not-busy weeknight, no less). They didn't even keep me posted on the progress. Maybe their stockroom needs some organization or something, but I at least had expected a sincere apology when they finally found it rather than "oh, it was hidden in plain sight! I walked by it like five times!" Everybody was friendly enough, which is why I gave two stars instead of just one, but I sure won't be shopping there again if I can avoid it. read more
