I went to pick up a refrigerator filter and a few landscaping items. Could not get any help with the filters so I didn't buy one. Next I went to get mulch and garden soil. Got the mulch just fine 5 for $10. Got the garden soil which was advertised buy 3 get 3. The price per bag is $2.29 per bag in Lowe's ad. I bought 12 bags which according to the ad should have beven pay for 6 get the other 6 free. I got charged for all 12 bags. I consider Lowe's ad false advertising. Print what you actually are selling at the correct cost. I'm sure I'm not the only per to have this experience. I talked to an associate who agreed Lowes is falsely advertising. Near impossible to find someone willing to help. My wife drove there to get replacement washing machine water valves as I was dealing with the failed valves. I sent her with the old valve and expected an easy trip for her. Not the case! She tried to find a similar valve but the old one was, well old. She asked for assistance and waited 15 minutes. She then went to customer service and talked to a manager who said someone would be over. She waited another 15 minutes, and nothing. A random employee with no plumbing experience suggested she go to Home Depot. she left and drove all the way to Home Depot in Lexington and had her valve in 5 minutes. This is extremely poor customer service and I will drive the extra 25 minutes to a store that actually provides service. read more

Usually I am very happy with Georgetown Lowe's service but today , 6-17-2024 I am upset. I am almost 77 years old , very weak and have bad balance. I spent the afternoon in my shade at my drainage ditch emptying $200 worth of drainage, rock and the ditch and went back to Lowe's for one more load of 14 bags which was close to another hundred dollars. when putting other bought items into the car, I came back and asked clerk to have Help sent back to the drainage rock to load my car. After waiting 20 minutes I called the store phone and asked to have someone come out and help me load the car. All I got was an open phone at the garden store that I listen to people talking softly in the background for five minutes . thank God I tried calling a third time. I don't know the heat was about ready to get me anyway long story short after 40 minutes I hazard to MyHealth from the heat and my age and my poor physical condition loaded my car with the 14 bags. Three things you should know: 1) We recently purchased and renovated a fifth wheel trailer (RV) that consistently needs work now and then. 2) We just moved from the Chicago 'burbs to the Kentucky countryside. Completely different lifestyle. 3) We are in the process of planning for a new house build next year. That said, we come here a lot. Lowe's is also the only home improvement store (I think) in Bourbon/Harrison/Scott county so our options are limited. Lowe's is where it's at for screws, tools, and wood. I mean that in a non-sexual way.... Anyway. Aside from always needing two people to assist you with your questions and slightly high prices, I've got no issues with this place. Horrible customer service. Manager is inept. You call and no one ever answers and then the phone gets disconnected. A clean, fully stocked store, to be fair, but try to get an appliance delivered in a timely manner and you're completely left to the whims of a third party delivery service and you can not get anyone to take you concerns seriously. Waited 6 months for a freezer, now I'm at 3 weeks for an INSTOCK stove. Even contacting the home office is kind of useless because they say they'll check with store manager and call you back, but they never work. Since Home Depot is just as bad, Pieratt's will be getting our business from now on, even with their higher prices. read more

Time and time again I have had bad experiences at this location... always related to the customer service. The customer service is lacking on the vast majority of my visits. For example, carrying multiple bags of topsoil with none of the multiple employees around to offer help... from looking for a specific tool with no assistance. I could truly make a list, and I'm not generally a complainer. I'll gladly drive to Hamburg or the Richmond road locations (35 minutes from my home) where I am always satisfied. read more

Just like any other Lowe's but none of the workers can help us find anything. They ask, "Can I help you?" So you ask them for a certain thing then they have no idea where it is. They blame management for always moving things around but even the managers have a hard time finding things. I'd rather commute the extra 20 minutes to Home Depot in Lexington. read more

Bought $1,500 worth of appliances three years ago including a five year extended warranty. The spin cycle no longer works on the clothes washer. I spent two hours on the phone with the warranty people to no avail. They simply will not honor the warranty. They even kept routing my call to centers where no one spoke English. Don't know what it is about this Lowe's. Could be the fact I worked there years ago and it left a bad taste in my mouth or it could be the fact that the staff isn't always the friendliest or happy to help. Don't get me wrong, there are several nice people that work there that I still know but I rarely run into them. We typically go to the one in Hamburg based on service. We did buy a grill there last week and they were helpful getting the grill into the Subaru though. I have only been to this location once but during the one quick visit, I was asked if I needed any help, more than once. Although, I normally don't post a review after just one visit, I felt the need to address that my experience as a complete opposite of the only review existing for this location. We showed up at 7:05pm on Sunday with a dead lawn tractor battery. I saw a guy helping get carts up outside. I did not know they closed at 7pm. This guy took me inside got me a new battery and was one of the nicest guys ever. Turns out he was a store manager. He truly went above and beyond. read more

Worst Lowe's in Kentucky. I had placed an online order for an item that, according to their in-stock online database, was the only Lowe's within 100 miles that carried the particular product. Absolutely excited it was in stock and ready to be picked up, I received the email stating my order was pulled and ready to be picked up at the customer service desk. My drive was 45 minutes one way, and walked happily in the door. I arrived at customer service and asked about the order, so the clerk goes to clicking on the computer and says, "It'll be awhile we have to pull the order." Lets make a short story short and say I waited 25 minutes for them to come back with the product missing parts and packaging ripped open, they try to sell me this?? You've GOT to be kidding me. By this time, the current employee's shift was over and the incoming worker had to have the situation explained by me AGAIN. At this point I'm irate, and steam rolling out my ears. They get one person to go find the missing parts (another 15 minutes...no dice) and insist I take it and use pieces that do not match. I demanded a refund (who wouldn't) and left as peacefully as I could. After cooling my temper down a few hours later, I called the store manager to resolve the nightmare issue I experienced, and he was absolutely no help in resolving the issue. Offering me a 10% discount on the product missing pieces. Never again. Sadly this is the only Lowe's I've dealt with that was like this. read more

Staff are always friendly in this store and always asking if you have any questions. I've placed several online orders for pickup and they've gone without hiccups (which is more than I can say for other locations in Lexington). I've also had two home deliveries which went well too - they called ahead of the delivery and came when scheduled. Overall, great experience and glad I've a Lowes in town! read more

We had a major problem with an order that caused a bit of headache..they were quick to fix it and the manager Rocks.

I renovated my entire house through this store... employees were nice, managers were helpful when something did go off a little with one of my orders, I have no complaints. And I literally was in there every day for 6 weeks getting materials, I'm pretty sure I met every single person that works there... LOL. If I could give a negative star rating, I would. I not only had to go through corporate TWICE for them to stack my washer and dryer that were SUPPOSED to be stacked at delivery I also had to wait two weeks for it to be done. Then I buy fencing and two YOUNG guys stand there and watch me load onto a cart and unload into my truck 75 fence pickets and concrete bags .... then offer to take my empty cart inside so that they can sit on the counter and tell cool stories some more. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYTING. read more
