Thank goodness for this home depot close to me. There are so…read moremany things you can only get from this store its just so convenient. Salt fir the water softener, paint made and m8x specially for your tone of wall, small and big things, you name it, you get it here. I had a very disappointing experience with an assistant manager at the Georgetown, Texas Home Depot…read morewhile trying to resolve an issue regarding a washer and dryer purchase totaling over $1,000 that I had been told would be delivered that day. When I called for clarification, the assistant manager was dismissive and unhelpful. She insisted that my sister -- who lives in Chicago -- would need to come into the Georgetown store in person to resolve the issue. That is not realistic and certainly not reasonable for a delivery issue involving a $1,000+ major appliance purchase. She also suggested there may have been an issue because my sister's bank is "out of state." This explanation does not make sense. Many customers use banks or credit unions headquartered outside of Texas. Modern banking does not require a financial institution to be locally based in order to process a transaction. The comment felt inaccurate and dismissive. Additionally, she indicated that speaking with another manager would not change the outcome and suggested there was no avenue for further review or escalation. The message was clear that no one at the store level was willing to step in to reassess or attempt to resolve the situation. Instead of working toward a solution, there was no meaningful effort to clarify the delivery issue or provide assistance. For a $1,000+ appliance purchase, customers deserve clear communication, professionalism, and problem-solving -- especially when delivery is involved. Customers should never feel like a burden when attempting to spend significant money at a store. If this level of service is standard practice, I would encourage others to consider taking their business to a retailer that values and supports its customers.

After about 15 days, the problem was not resolved. They came out again and said it was something else. No problem. After about 15 days, the problem was not resolved. This happened three times and was charged over $400.00. The fourth time, just before the tech was to come out, he called and said that he was an expert Samsung refrigerator guy and that the previous techs didn't realize that you would have to replace the entire ice marker component. I asked why I wasn't told that previously and he said he was just hired by the Appliance Family. I told him there was no need to come out to my home. The Appliance Family wanted me to now pay for a new ice maker, in full, without credit for the $400.00 or so that I had already paid them. I asked for a return of a portion of what I had paid them. They told me that I was to blame because I used a hair dryer to melt the ice in the component. The tech used the air dryer, not me. After numerous calls and emails into them that were not returned over a period of about 60 days, they finally agreed to give me $100.00. However, it took me repeated phone calls and emails again to get them to honor paying me $100.00. Stay away from these people.

It only took about 15 minutes to repair my 22 year old washer. I would highly recommend Appliance Express. Every business should be so well run and professional. Cyndi in Leander

I was not impressed with Appliance Express. I contacted them because my 3 year old Whirlpool oven…read more(that was in the house when I bought it) kept randomly losing power. I wasn't sure if it was an electrical issue in the house or a problem with the oven, but I started with the appliance. I made an appointment with Appliance Express--they couldn't tell me until the day before what time they'd come out, so I had to allocate the entire day to stay home. The day before they texted me with a time range, so narrowed it a bit. On the day of the appointment the repair guy called me when he was on his way, which was helpful. The repair guy was very nice but didn't strike me as being terribly knowledgeable about our particular oven. However, he suggested that it needed a software update (which required first connecting the oven to our WiFi). He gave me a phone number to Whirlpool support who could assist in connecting the oven to our WiFi and downloading the update. He barely touched the oven, other than to look at the current software version on the display. But for that helpful little piece of advice about needing a software update I was charged $162.36 by Appliance Express. They could have just told me over the phone, before someone ever came out, to try that solution first. I got the oven connected to our WiFi (I'm a retired IT guy and am very intentionally judicious about what I connect to our home network as I'm very aware of the security and performance/bandwidth implications of connecting devices willy-nilly). Once connected, I had trouble getting the update to install. The repair guy watched for a little while and then left. I called the Whirlpool number and they were very helpful in getting it sorted out (it turned out there was something they had to initiate on their end). After the software update I have had no problems with the appliance (other than I think it's stupid that an oven requires Internet connectivity and software updates to function). So, in the end Appliance Express identified the likely problem so that I was able to take care of it myself, but they charged me $162.36 for that little nugget of information. They could have just suggested over the phone that I try that first before they came out.

We then had a HPS tech come out and check the unit and could not find a leak despite the plumbers leak detectors going off previously. After the second plumber again detected the leak coming from the unit (see pic), I called HPS back, they initially told me they couldn't help and to call the gas company! I asked to speak to the manager. He called back and looked at the picture and said he thought it was the gas tube. We set up a re-check appointment for 2 days later, then texts me last minute and cancels, saying he couldn't get the tube. It was supposed to be a courtesy re-check but they flaked out and said to call someone else. I accepted their offer to destroy the service fee check but they still wasted my time and left me without a working stove. Very unprofessional. I had another company come over today, found the leak, and fixed it in less than one hour! It wasn't the tube! Lastly, after checking with Dacor, HPS is not an authorized service company.

Unfortunately, there are more than a few unscrupulous repair shops that will try to take advantage of the consumer's ignorance. That's why using HPS was a very pleasant and refreshing experience. It was easy and fast to obtain a same-day service appointment to diagnose the problem with our dishwasher. I thought the circulation pump had gone bad and Arti, the technician, confirmed it. We discussed a couple options, and Arti attempted to fix the unit with the less expensive route. Unfortunately an entire subassembly needed replacement so we had to wait until the next day to get the correct part and complete the repair. It was great that HPS kept the parts in stock instead of having to order and wait several days until the parts came in. Both the initial visit and follow-up were on-time and the service was fast and competent. These guys know how to provide excellent customer service and the price was less than expected. Highly recommended.
