It's not customers services fault. They were very nice. So here is my frustration. Many emails (for days) and texts to notify me about delivery today. Text said 8-12pm. Didn't show. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited. Last delivery time is 8pm. Called at 7pm. Apparently my order got pushed back to Monday morning because second delivery truck didn't know. No texts. No emails. No calls. I couldn't leave the house all day. And now have to be here Monday morning to sign. My issue is not that a second truck didn't know. Things happen. My issue is lack of communication on change. Not cool, Lowe's, not cool. Update: I received a text. I had been promised priority for Monday morning delivery. I get a text that delivery wouldn't be until 1:30. That's not priority. When I call I discovered they had put a note that I had requested the delivery be moved to Monday. Why apologize to me and then lie in your notes? Update. They only delivered half of my order. No one knows where the other half is. Delivery guy said it was never on his truck. Staff say it's not in the building. Canceled the remainder of my order. read more

On Feb 16 I purchased an stove and refrigerator and scheduled delivery for March 13... I arranged coverage at work and my wife did the same. I replied to both emails that we would be home and ready, I replied to the text that we would be home and waiting during the delivery window.... at 1:35 am March 13, my phone received a text that we had been rescheduled.... I called at 7am and explained that we were expecting the delivery between 1 and 5 and was told we had been rescheduled.....I canceled the entire order... we then went to Elders Appliance and saved $300 for nicer product that was delivered 3 hours later.... read more

Great for a chain store. Very consistent with their display of flowers and products. We purchased a few flowers, vegetables and some wood to build a shelf. No one welcomed us or asked if we needed help. We we got in wondered around got our items and checked out for $211.00 for cedar wood, four flowers and ficlce veggies. read more

Their customer service was terrible, someone said they'd get someone to help me and I waited not 5, NOT 10 but 15 MINUTES. And when I finally got help the guy went to help this couple. I was very disappointed and upset. I think it has to deal with racism because I'm colored but it doesn't mean you should treat people differently based on how their color is. Needed to buy a new dishwasher and refrigerator. Stopped at this Lowes appliance center and was greeted by Warren. he is very knowledgeable about all of their appliances and even gave us pros and cons of each brand that we looked at. We settled on a Whirlpool DW refrigerator. Thinking it would be a long time before we could get delivery, he assured us that the delivery and install would be timely. In comes Burma, who took care of the necessary paperwork and scheduling. To my surprise, they had an ample inventory of both items, and we got delivery in less than 48 hours! I was there yesterday and bought a dryer and a table saw. I worked with a couple different people and they were both very helpful. They walked me through the transaction and setting up delivery and even loaded the saw in my car for me. I could tell they were very busy but it didn't stop them from being very attentive to helping me. read more

Service Selection Value I ordered a custom size pre-hung exterior door on July 19, I was told it would be to the store in 4 weeks. when the door was ready to be loaded into my van I asked (Jacob) if he needed help. he said no. I then watched him stand the door up on the ground and teeter-todder over to my van . when I got home and opened it up . the bottom of the door frame was destroyed. I called jacob and talked about a possible discount. millennial jacob told me 600$ sounded fair because now I have a busted door and pella is going to send me a new frame.(which I have to rebuild myself) . what ever... so I get the confirmation that the frame is ready. go into the store and it's not there. now Jacob mentions the possibility of an additional discount. Great ..... when we called the store and talked to the manager they said they can't do the 600 and the best they can do was 170$ . my replacement frame was supposed to be in sept 17 . I have been trying to call them in the mill work department for 2 days now. Finally after 6 phone calls being on hold 2 times they say "oh it looks like it's Oct 16 now... My summer door project with Lowe's grandville has absolutely been the worst experience. once you buy something from them you are completely screwed . I ordered the door. They damaged it. Screwed me with the replacement frame. Lost my carpenter . Three days off work that I planned to do this door. I am absolutely frustrated and the worst part was that the kid Jacob said he never mentioned the 600$ to his boss . Like I made it all up . I just wanted to buy a pre hung door. Just bought some lights at Lowes in Grandville Mi. They have reserved parking for veterans which is nice but I think they're offering a veterans discount is disingenuous because when I asked for my discount I was told they don't accept any form of veterans IDs. The only way they will give a veteran a discount is to "register". The clerk started asking me for personal information so I declined to be "registered". I'm very concerned about identify theft and related problems. I prefer a no hassle veteran discount. Just show the clerk your drivers license at Home Depot and you get your discount. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT. We walked up to the check out and scanned our item which did now show the $10 off price that was shown on the ticket on display. I asked the manager if he could check the price and he said that it was not on sale. He was very short with me when I asked if anyone was back in that department I could show. I decided to walk all the way back to the back of the store and take a photo of the product and it in fact was on sale for $10 off l, like I told him. I walked back to the front of the store and showed him the photo of the tag and it matched the product number. He reluctantly gave me the price and seemed very annoyed. As someone who has been in customer service for 25 years, I would never have treated a customer like he treated me. I was very calm and patient with him and he acted like I was inconveniencing him, walking over to the checkout only five feet away. He adjusted the amount, I said "thank you" and smiled. He said nothing and walked away. As we were walking out he glared at me as if I did some horrible thing. I don't think I'll be shopping at Lowe's anymore if they can't treat their customers with respect. read more

They come out measure stuff, send the contract, and act all responsible, but then when it comes time for the service portion, the installation of windows, or whatever, if you have a question, or something doesn't seem right, you can't get in touch with anyone at all. Finally, called to talk to manager. Runaround from staff, and unreturned call when they finally gave me his number. Windows not delivered like they were supposed to be. DO NOT USE LOWE'S CONTRACTORS FOR HOME IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS. The contractors are completely and utterly terrible. They don't do things the right way the first time and end up breaking things when they try to fix their first mistakes!!! I'm talking about crooked walls, corner wall pieces sticking out, uneven countertops because the new wall behind is crooked, tiling so crooked it looks like a child did it in preschool, cracks and holes in my wall, scratched toilet seats, grout everywhere, scratched flooring, etc. Oh, and not to mention - they didn't even measure my kitchen accurately! This was the second set of contractors (Marcel Bedard and David - watch out for David. He is a sloppy, angry little man who doesn't care about his workmanship and acts like a baby with colic when you show him what he did wrong). The first contractor (Jeff) was fired by Lowe's because he suddenly forgot how to hang kitchen cabinets in a commercial building - which we specifically hired him for. Don't even get me started on the headache which is Hard Rock Stoneworks. If you value your sanity, stay away. They have the worst possible customer service you can imagine and won't even apologize for missing appointments. Find a different granite company. After a huge ordeal with Whirlpool not owning up on an 18-month old defective fridge, Lowe's agreed to give us a full refund on the replacement fridge we had bought from them. Well, they kept $400 of the money, plus Whirlpool made us pay $500 for a replacement. So, it cost us $900 for a 7-month temporary fridge. So, I refuse to buy another Whirlpool (KitchenAid) product, and I certainly will not be shopping at Lowe's any more. read more

Last week (12/8/2022) came into lowes to get a new water heater. We found them eventually. We stood there as 4 employees. ignored us. I approached them and cornered one as they scattered like scared rabbits. she paged someone who could answer my questions. No one helped us load this onto the cart.  we got it up front. paid. loaded it in the truck. got home and got it into the basement. then we unboxed it to find out the top was all bashed in. called the store they said bring it back. so we hauled it BACK UP THE STEPS back to the truck back to the store. got to the return counter. she said I had to go get the replacement. I had to load it onto a flat cart myself. got back to the front. NO apologies. no % off. No coupon, nothing. just a wasted hour. had to go back later, get some other fittings. I saw that they already had that bashed up water heater for scratch and dent sale. smh.  I filed this complaint last week. no one cared. no response. Good news: You can shop here quietly, without the fear of pesky store employees even noticing you exist. We are playing a game right now to see how many people in red vests can we stand near without being acknowledged. So far, we've been in the store about 20 minutes (in flooring -2 employees, no customers... paint -1 employee heavily engrossed in computer screen, no customers... plumbing-1 employees, no customers, home decor-1 one employee no customers... in aisle 2 employees, nervously averting attention). Then we met Buzz in hardware-- crap, there goes my scathing, sarcastic review-- he's nice, helps us find what we need and proves we are NOT invisible. Guess that's a good thing. They have clueless people working in their lumber department. I bought 2 4'x8' sheets of plywood and needed to have them cut. I went to the store at 9pm after making the 25-30 minute trip. I asked them to cut the sheets to 46"x94", only 2" off each edge. The person running the saw cut both sheets wrong. On both the lengths and the widths, both sheets were short on one side and too long on the other. I ask for him to cut them again, didn't mind the sheets being short but they couldn't be long. At this time it's reaching 10pm, closing time. He cut one sheet almost correct and as he was going through the second sheet the store shut the saw off. Then I was told that the saw could not be turned back on and was only offered to come back in the morning. No way am I driving an hour total for someone's mistake. Home depot it is. read more

I needed to return a defective part (yes they do sell defective parts) the attitude of the customer service was horrible. I ended up leaving them with out the refund and without the $300 lumber purchase I was going to make. I will instead drive 5 miles farther to Menards. Perhaps Lowe's will be the next major retailer to go under. read more

After the incident I will give them a 2 out of 5. There are some nice people that work there, but some bad ones as well unfortunately. Incident 1 : Tried to rip me off and out smart me on the refund with the receipt right in front of us... Incident 2 : Cut the wrong wire gauge when I clearly stated what wire gauge I needed. Incident 3 : went back the next day to get the correct wire, they couldn't remember the wire spool machine code for a half hour, I ended up leaving because it was 10 mins from closing. Absolutely the worst customer service I have seen in years! I visited the Grandville store this morning at 9:15am and was politely greeted at the returns counter. I attempted to return some misc. items from a COVID project that I didn't need. I was asked if I had a receipt and I said yes, giving the cashier the receipt. She asked if an in store credit would be ok, I asked for cash but she said that because the receipt was more than 90 days old, I would only be issued an in store credit. I agreed to the in store credit. When the cashier attempted to put the balance due on the card for in store credit, she was unable to complete the transaction. She told me it was because the receipt was more than 90 days old. I asked the cashier what would happen if I walked in and asked for a refund and didn't have a receipt? I was told that I would be given an in store credit. I pointed out how dumb this is that if I had not been a responsible customer and not given them the receipt, I would have been issued an in store credit. I asked for the manager. A young lady came and told me the same thing that I couldn't get an in store credit, because my receipt is more than 90 days old. I live hours from a big box store and go months in between visits to the metropolitan areas. I have been to the store at least once to twice a day because I work for several builders. I return things on a regular basis because we never know what we're going to need. I needed to return an item that was ordered online that had Lowe's labels all over it. The customer service manager refused to do it without the builders receipt or credit card and was extremely rude and unhelpful. All I needed was a simple store credit. I will now be directing my business over to Home Depot. We spend approximately $100,000 a year at the store. I hope it was worth it to them. read more

Bought three plants and at the register the lady was nice but it called my attention that while i was paying my plants sat there on the counter and she didn't attempt to bag them for me. So i paid and looked at her thinking she was going to bag them... so i said i guess i'll put them in the bag myself. She didn't even blink. I purchased a range and refrigerator from Lowe's in Grandville Mi on 6-1-19. They called me on the delivery date and told me that the range had a dent. They delivered the refrigerator anyway. After a week and a half they called and said they can't get that range anymore. Offered me a different range at the same price. 2 weeks goes by no range. I called them and they said they would have it delivered on 7- 6-19 over a month now. 7-5 -19 they called and said they would not be able to get me that range until at least 8-1-19. I'm a diabetic that does most of my cooking at home. It makes it extremely difficult to follow a strict diet plan for sugar if you have no way of cooking healthy. I am just livid over this. I canceled the order and I'm going elsewhere. I suggest you do the same never again for me. This type of business practice doesn't evan deserve a single star. I sure hope this review helps you or possibly changes Lowe's practices. I have my doubts just corporate America at its best!!! read more

Normally shop at Home Depot, but had a couple gift cards. Checked online and website said they had 15 wheelbarrows in-stock for the model I was looking for. The section they were in was a disaster and I'd be surprised if they could have found the parts for one complete model from any brand. Salesperson from that department said he had no idea where it could be. Manager explained it away that it could have been internet orders not yet picked up. Pooooooorly run operation. I walked into the store and no straw in aisle 28. Left empty handed and went to home depot where the staff was very helpful and I got the straw I was looking for. This store is big and gigantic hardware store, and you could easily loss in a maze try to find what you need. So it always a sale associate walks around to point you to the right location. I can never decide if I like Lowe's or Home Depot better but as of late is seems that Lowe's is edging out Home Depot. They are both essentially the same store who stock the same goods, but Lowe's layout seems better and more natural than HD.
