A very bad experience. My hot water heater died as the result of a burst pipe in my home. I called Lowes to obtain a replacement. They had one delivered and assured me that their installers would get everything installed for me. Ever since the installation of the new hot water heater through the installation company (called 800 Heaters), I have had trouble with my hot water. With my old hot water heater, I never had any trouble with my hot water. With this new heater my hot water lasts no time at all. If I take a shower, for instance, my hot water lasts only about 10 minutes then the water goes cold. I have a 30 gallon tank, I am the only person living here. I am quite sure that one shower isn't going to empty a 30 gallon hot water tank. I have reported the problem to Lowes who told me I had to call their installer. The installer tells me that there is nothing they can do. My old hot water heater was over 40 years old, I have lived here for over 15 years, and never once did I run out of hot water while showering - not even when my grandson has stayed with me and we both took showers on the same morning. There is something wrong with the heater or the installation, or both. Now when I call the installer they promise to call back and never do or they promise to come take a look and don't show up. A terrible, on-going problem. Apparently neither Lowe's nor 800 Heaters backs their products or their workmanship. read more

Can't even make a return without an issue. Bought some plexiglass a month or two ago. Didn't end up needing it. Tried to return it and I don't know where my receipt is, which didn't used to be a big deal but all of a sudden now it is. Woman at the desk was unwilling to do anything for me. Said to try every credit card I have I don't even know if I used a credit card or gift card or cash. Didn't think I'd have to remember something so insignificant. All I wanted was a store credit to purchase more items for my home. Total waste of time and incredibly poor customer service read more

NATIONWIDE: Dogs are allowed at Lowe's Home Improvement! We love that they are pet friendly because there's always a reason to buy supplies and why leave your well-behaved dog at home? Brie was a big hit with shoppers and the staff! Dogs can walk around as long as they are leashed. They can also be in a carrier or in the shopping cart. We laid down a blanket in the cart so Brie is more comfortable. We have also walked her on-leash and she was fine. We all know hardware stores have a lot of activity, so keep an extra eye on people and large machines. read more

This review is about the great service I experienced yesterday at the Customer Service counter. I was attempting to determine the availability of some shelving and the only clerk on duty, Allison, was swamped. Somehow, she managed to maintain her composure, answer the phone and assure me that she had not forgotten my request. After about 5 minutes Julia joined the fray and began to work on my issue. Problem solved, shelving available and they agreed to hold the items until Friday. When I attempted to pay I mentioned that I was going to use my veterans discount. Lowes recently changed the procedure for this and Julia helped me with the process. Kudos all around for the Customer Service Team at the Howell Lowe's. read more

These guys are clueless, having ordered a closet system and waited two weeks for delivery I discovered that they had not delivered at least 12 shelves, I was two thirds of the way through installation when I discovered this. The store seriously suggested that I return the items for credit.... After they had told me to come to the store to pick up the missing shelves only to determine that they did not have them in stock (they had my order number), So after a 16 mile round trip to discover they did not have what I was missing they seriously told me to take down what I had installed and return it to them for a refund.... even if they refund the money I have already spent one day doing the installation, this includes cutting to size, they now want me to uninstall everything and bring it back.... seriously what planet? read more

I've got to say that I like this Lowes. I've been here many times and the staff here have been very helpful. On a recent trip here I inquired about a ceiling fan I was interested in. It must be a hot item because they were out and didn't expect shipment until August (this was early June). They did a little research and found them at another Lowe's in West Windsor. They were nice enough to squirrel two away for us to come pick up at a later date. The return desk has always been pleasant to deal with plus they give a 10% discount to military veterans everyday unlike Home Depot that only does it on national holidays. read more

Bought the wrong sized drapes. Went in the store to exchange them for the same thing just a smaller size. Explained to the lady the situation and asked if she could just exchange the old one for the new one (same price and brand) she said sure. She then hands me back a return receipt and begins to ring up another set of drapes and asks for payment. I was confused and told her I just wanted an exchange not a return. She says she can't do that and that I will have my funds returned to me in 15 days but need to pay for the new one now. I wound up leaving without the new one and finding the same thing on Amazon for $40 cheaper. Just bizarre that Lowe's cannot process exchanges, lost them a sale. read more

Wasn't Lowe's at one time the company that redefined customer service in the Home Improvement space? I have shopped at this location countless times over the last decade and have very recently noticed the near evaporation of in-store help. Forget knowledge and experience, I mean any warm body wearing a polo shirt or an apron. With the exception of exemplary service in the Paint and Flooring departments you are far more likely to run into Jimmy Hoffa roaming the aisles in Plumbing and Lighting than an actual employee. I still prefer Lowe's and I know sales aren't what they once were but maybe the folks who make these decisions should consider how quickly brand reputations can be obliterated. read more

Walking into Lowes is like walking into Toys R Us for adults. I always go in with a list of what I need and walk out with what I need and then some.. LOL who hasn't done this.. It's like OOOOO I need that I have to have that... Or I'll buy it cuz I know I'll use it for something later. What this means they have inventory they are stocked, I don't have to go elsewhere for my main purchases. I have never had any problem getting someone to help me when I seem to be lost and I know its hard to maintain composure and a straight face when I don't know the correct name for the doohickey I am madly trying to describe to them.* I love the outdoor area for patio stuff and gardening and although some items are I think a bit high for "some" patio furniture or decorations, I just wait until they go on sale. I always look at the snow blower things, but I have kids so I won't be purchasing one until they move out. Not only is the Lowes close to me but for the most part the prices and service are spot on and you just can't complain about the great customer service, I really appreciate the staff here. *The only thing I do not buy here is paint, I only buy Behr Marquee. read more

Ordered 3 appliances (fridge, washer and dryer) from them. Howell location. Understandably they took forever due to Covid. Not a problem. However 2 out of the 3 were delivered damaged. Not a good track record. The fridge had a dent on the side and the dryer had dents on both sides as of it were clamped between something. They were all supposedly brand NEW items. Now they made good on this. Offered me money off etc. but regardless was not a good experience. 1 out of 3 damages is one thing but 2 is another story. read more

I ordered a refrigerator from the Howell Lowe's Store through the Lowe's website. Delivery people brought the wrong refrigerator, promising to replace it with the correct one within a couple of days. It has now been close to two weeks...correct refrigerator still not delivered. Have spent hours on telephone every day. Sales blames delivery. Delivery blames dispatch, Dispatch blames website & everybody promises problem being fixed. The next day when nothing happens, no refrigerator delivered, I have to repeat the story to Sales, Delivery, Dispatch etc...still no refrigerator....The refrigerator I have already paid for never gets delivered and they took my old refrigerator away. To make matters worse when I call in again to complain nobody seems to remember my previous calls. It's like I'm trapped the movie Groundhog Day. If you liked that movie shop at Lowes in Howell but don't expect to ever get your refrigerator. read more

this Lowe's has got to be the worst. One I've ever been to went to the blinds department ordered lines 1st let me start by saying that the person that they sent to measure the windows was very full of himself and obnoxious and missed one of my windows, missed measuring one of my windows, when I went in to order the blinds, the gentleman, the older gentleman with glasses and gray hair helped me order my blinds. He was good that day helped me save money, but after my blinds were installed, we realized that one blind was missing the guy who installed the blinds was the same person who measured so he missed a window , we went back to Lowe's because according to the installment guy he made it seem like it was not his mistake. It was the stores mistake they didn't give me a window but when we went it turned out he forgot to add one windows measurements anyway he also forgot to mention that we can have these clips that we can put on the side of the blinds to hide the hardware to make. It look better according to the older gentleman that helped me order the blinds at first supposedly he ordered them for us that was back in October. I'm going to say it is now March we still have not heard from them letting us know that those clips came in so again this has got to be the worst lowes I have ever been to and that's not. The only thing that's occurred in that Lowe's. Their customer service is terrible. They're not very friendly , they literally catch an attitude when you ask them a question anyway, I will never recommend this Lowe's to anybody. It is the worst especially when you're waiting five months for clips that were supposedly ordered. Oh I forgot to mention that when my husband went four weeks later after this gentleman ordered the clips , my husband approaches him and he laughs and says they're coming like one at a time are you kidding me? Worst Lowes I've dealt with. Literally, 5 workers out on the entire floor that don't know a damn thing. In the middle of helping you, they will disappear. This normally may not be unusual for May but it's been raining for a week and no one is working on their lawns. The cashier was pretty snooty today too. LOWE'S STORES DON'T KNOW WHAT THEIR INVENTORY CONTAINS AND LOWE"S CHARGED ME FOR MERCHANDISE NEVER DELIVERED NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRIED TO CANCEL AN ITEM THEY NEVER DELIVERED. Here's what they did to me: Monday April 23rd. Online order placed for dryer; website shows 2 in stock at Howell Lowe's. Received delivery confirmation for Tues April 24th ith promised phone Notice of 2 hr delivery window to be given night before or morning of 24th. Tues April 24th. No phone notice having been received, at 8:30 AM I call Delivery Service number and am told that the order was never processed because they don't have any at the Howell Store. Rep has no knowledge of why I was never notified of this. She checks Manchester Lowe's and is told they have two in stock. Arranges for delivery on Thurs April 26th. At 7:45 PM I receive delivery confirmation of delivery for April 26th,with a delivery window of 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Thurs April 26th. 7:30 am Joe of Manchester Lowe's Delivery calls to say they don't have any in stock. They can look for one from another store and arrange for delivery attempt number three at some time in the future. I refused, telling him that I wouldn't accept this even if they were to offer me a 110% discount because I can't deal with a company like Lowe's. I also tell him I want to complain to his manager, am put on hold and eventually disconnected. (Neither of these stores had a functioning inventory count, which strongly suggests this is a system wide deficiency in Lowe's.) I try cancelling online and get message Lowe's can't cancel online due to system error. Try again or call 800-455-6937. After a few repetitions of this, I call this number and get a recording stating that this number cannot be accessed from my service area (New Jersey). Next, I call their general customer service number and get a representative who has obviously been instructed to resist processing any cancellation orders. She corrects me when I say I've been charged for something I haven't gotten by pointing out that it is only a pending charge. After several minutes of "discussion," she reluctantly agrees to cancel it, and to send a confirmation of the cancellation, but says she is going to have to contact the store first because they're showing it as ready for delivery. That they don't have any, so it can't be ready for delivery, seems like a difficult concept for her to understand. FOLLOWUP: Sat April 28th I never received any cancellation confirmation, and the pending charge has been put through. They are charging me for the dryer, despite twice never delivering it as promised because they didn't have any, and despite my cancelling it both at the local store level and by phone. I would have cancelled online too if their website hadn't returned error messages whenever I tried, but I doubt it would have made a difference. I've asked for a refund with my credit card company and filed a BBB complaint against Lowe's. read more

My experience at this lowes at Howell has been superb. When walking down each isle, the employees are so friendly and knowledgeable and help you!!! They actually care about your projects, interested in helping you find the right things needed for the job. When I walk into Home Depot I'm never greeted, employees have a sour attitude and never want to help. Not here at lowes. They have the best employees and customer service I love shopping here for odds and ends needed for my home. Also they carry TONS of high end tools, and equipment for any budget. read more

What a nightmare we order the refrigerator the first time the refrigerator came it was our fault the measurements were wrong so they delivered a second refrigerator after we got the right measurements well that couldn't be installed be close a water line leading into the ice machine needed to have a valve shut off which they never told us so then we had to wait all week and get a plumber hasn't installed shut off valve call rows back and they told us that the refrigerator is been delivered and of course it hasn't so then they told us they had a find it and that when the men come in in the morning the last 10 in love give us a call so we're waiting and waiting finally I called and Ted tells me that he can't be delivered today because the men leave early in the morning what is the man come in early in the morning then why didn't he find out where the refrigerator was after he spoke with my wife at 8:30 I told my wife cancel the order it will go to Sears Ted asked me for my phone number and he'll call me back wrong not happening unacceptable and that he can't get a hold of men because they leave early in the morning well if they leave that early in the morning then why weren't they there at 8:30 when my wife called I'll never buy a even a screwdriver from Lowe's what a nightmare total shit show you know Ted people know when you blow smoke up their ass great customer... follow up if I didn't have to choose at least one star I would choose none because the guys who delivered our refrigerator couldn't unhook the old refrigerator because of Lowe's insurance policy supposedly my girlfriend how to do it and ripped the skin off of her palms trying to loosen The nut connecting the copper tube to the refrigerator and after the shut off valve I couldn't do it because I'm very ill I wouldn't go to Law's now if they were the west hardware company on earth Josh the store manager on route nine was absolutely no help I had to explain the same thing to him over 10 times the connection we had I could hardly hear him it was awful this whole thing was nothing but a nightmare he didn't offer any type of Compensation if I could afford a lawyer I would sue the hell out of them people do yourself a favor go to Home Depot PS I miss Sears. After buying our new home made 4 purchases from Lowes in 10 months. Upon1st purchase was asked to open a credit card to receive a special 15% discount. When I got to the register I was told the 15% promotion ended yesterday and I could only get the standard 5%. 1st purchase: Solar lights to place alongside our driveway. Picked up 4 packages, 20 total lights. Each package had mismatched parts. They appeared to be factory sealed. Only had enough parts to assemble 16 total lights. From that only 11 actually worked. 2nd purchase: $200 kitchen faucet. Paid plumber to install. Only 1 of the 2 spray features worked. They offered to do an exchange, but wouldn't reimburse for plumber fee. Also told me the faucet was discontinued. Not marked as clearance in store. 3rd purchase: hanging light for dining room. Paid to have installed. Missing final cover piece. Exchanged. 4th and final purchase ... ever: Picked up two Rayovac 9 volt 4 packs to replace smoke alarm batteries. Batteries marked good until Nov 2020. I had 10 total alarms to replace. I had 2 new energizer batteries already... so I only needed 8 more. All 8 Rayovacs made the smoke alarms chirp, meaning the charge was very low. One by one tested smoke alarms with energizer batteries and no problem. STAY AWAY FROM LOWES LIKE THE PLAGUE! Literally 4 for 4 on low quality purchases. I'm not saying Home Depot is great, but they have a much better batting average for me. read more

We went to this Lowe's the get all of the supplies for our bathroom renovation. We bought over $4000 worth of merchandise and set up all of the large things for pickup the next day. Our contractor has now been to this Lowe's store 4 days in a row and I still don't have two of the vanities I paid for. The first day they didn't have them pulled at all, the second day they had the wrong ones pulled, the third day they once again had nothing and this morning they told my contractor they didn't have proof that the units had been paid for! The employees clearly didn't think it was necessary to ensure things were taken care of ahead of time and since then I've had a vanity sized headache for almost a week and STILL NO VANITIES. I know most of the ladies that work there by name im in that store so much. The former manager BOB was top notch. The cashiers are expecially nice and always have a friendle attitude as well as a smile. It feels more like the oldtime neighborood hardware store. GET RID OF SELF CHECKOUT very impersonal and takes jobs away from hardworking ppl.
