went into Lowe's in Manor, two men to help me find a shower door. I was with a friend they couldn't find the box there was two in stock so we waited and we waited. They came back and said oh we didn't know you wanted it they just left us sitting there and then they walked away again so I guess they didn't want the sale. and I ended up going online and ordering it through Home Depot. Very poor customer service I even asked for help from someone they didn't go out of their way. Terrible, terrible terrible terrible you couldn't even go to a customer service desk. Back. Of. Beyond. Hideous. There is not a negative star option here. Should be "Lowes Home Destruction." Ordered a range hood. The installer for Lowes did such an AWFUL, AWFUL job installing. Of the MANY issues - the worst was failing to ground the wires which were exposed and hanging in the unit. Damaged unit that didn't work (read dishonest installation). The company main office re-ordered when I complained. Re-order was NEVER placed - though they told me it was on the way. The Lowes store in Greenport NY told me it was there TWICE. Only after waiting for 1.15 hours on site to pick it up did I find out it was NOT there. Never ordered! Wound up buying a different brand unit from the store. Hired my OWN installer who was shocked at what he found when taking the first unit out. The Lowes contractor will be reported to better business bureau. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER set foot in a Lowes again. Stay AWAY. The Greenport NY store only adds to the corporate incompetence. Useless employees. We had a major water heater problem. My unit was 3 years old. I did not have a Lowe's extra warranty. I did have the AO Smith warranty. I had exceptional service from a.o Smith warranty as well as Lowe's worked with me because the water heater I used to have was not available. It took about an hour in the store to find a suitable water heater and loaded into my vehicle and do all the paperwork. This was at the southcenter store. All in all I have a working water heater and I am happy with the circus. They did a wonderful job and I will continue purchasing from them. read more

Lowe's website states if you buy a hot water heater from them before 12:00 noon on any day, they guarantee delivery & installation within 24 hours. If you buy a hot water heater after 12:00 noon, they guarantee installation within 48 hours. We went into Lowe's and ordered a hot water heater on a Wednesday evening. The next morning we received a phone call from a scheduler to schedule delivery and installation for the following day, between 12:00-3:00 pm. So far so good, yes? Well, we waited. With our house guest. No one showed up. No one called. We called the scheduler at 3:30, who had no idea what we were talking about. 25 minutes & 3 people in, we finally got a person who found our order and schedule number. Noah said they had tried to reach us several times during the day (false), then he said there was an issue because they did not deliver & install in our area (?!?!?!?!). Why schedule a delivery & installation in our area if you don't deliver & install in our area?!?!?! We then went in person to Lowe's. A first THEY did not know what we were talking about. We provided the relevant information and finally got a Lowe's manager, who said she'd check & get back to us. We went to an early dinner. The manager called and said she spoke to the delivery/installer people and they would call us within the hour to schedule an expedited delivery and installation. What a Surprise! No call from any scheduler. We went back to Lowe's that night. The Manager was at dinner & would be back in 1/2 hour. An hour later, we were still waiting. We finally went home. From home we called and finally got the Lowe's manager who promised to leave our information for the next days' Manager. This was a big runaround and we were in day 3 of no hot water. With a houseguest. It is now nighttime on day #4, manager #2 was no help, night and we're still waiting. Lowe's took our order but NO ONE SEEMS to be able to honor the "delivered and installed in 24 hours" guarantee. In fact, we can't even get the hot water heater delivered 5 days later!!! What kind of guarantee is this?!? We have a house guest and we can't take a shower! We've been Lowe's customers for 25 years. We've spent tens of thousands in their stores. WE ARE NOT HAPPY. The non-customer service is not due to the pandemic. The failure to honor Lowe's guarantee is not due to the pandemic. Lowe's managers' not making sure the job gets done is not due to the pandemic. Waited half an hour yesterday for a product pickup at the store. Got an email saying my item was ready. The one woman working customer service called for someone to get my order but nobody came. After 20 minutes, and with her now serving other customers while I stand there waiting, I asked for a manager. Surely they would be able to get someone to go grab my item. When he arrives he says he'll go my item himself. Another 10 minutes go by, still nothing. Long story short they are horribly unorganized and nobody really cares if you stand there all day waiting. I eventually got my item after waiting over 30 minutes while my car ran in the parking lot. Very disappointed with the service. read more

This must be the third time I've had to return a piece of equipment to Lowe's because when I got it home and started to assemble it I realized that there was a piece missing. This time it was a power washer and it was missing the turbo nozzle which is probably the one I'd use the most. I'm sure some other customer before me had swiped it out of the box because the box had been re-taped. I had asked an associate to get me an unopened box but he said no because he would need a lift. Lousy customer service and now I have to go back to return this useless power washer and decide whether to get another from Lowe's or get one from a better retailer. read more

Update: I am standing here in Lowe's yet again this time looking to purchase a dishwasher, once again mass confusion (mind you I am only here because I received gift cards). They made me cancel my online order drive to the store to sign a form to OK the installation. Then I get to the register to find that they have zero' doubt my balance of the gift cards and I have to wait 3-7 business days to get the card then drive back here. Pay for it, wait 10 days for the product to arrive and wait another week "at least " for installation. All because of their system being a complete disaster. No managers. Understaffed and I have to waste my entire night because no one understands company policy no one knows the rules and because of that I have to wait a month receive my dishwasher. This company is a nightmare. If anyone in Lowe's corporate even reads these I'd love to speak with you about how incredibly awful and unfair and untrained all your staff are. It is a nice store to shop in; the nursery is great and people generally friendly and helpful, but watch out for anything involving installation; they farm out to various sub-contractors and you can be sure you are absorbing the cost for this as well....you would be much better with local non-chain hardware stores...Herrington's, Williams Lumber etc,. We ordered interior doors in July and still waiting for an install date; supposedly the merchandise has not "come in" as yet (from where?) sp be very cautious about getting into anything like this with Lowe's. read more

Why didn't I check this before buying a stove at Lowes? First, they didn't have floor models of the less expensive stoves they advertise so I ended up paying much more than expected. Plus they charge $300 for the delivery, install ($200 more than the local guy). Then, they neglected to tell me that the subcontract installer with whom they deal only comes to my area every ten days or two weeks so it took three weeks for the first effort, only to find that Lowe's had sent along the wrong conversion kit and I'd have to wait another 10 days for an appointment. No thanks. Luckily I cancelled the order and bought from a local independent because it turned out that he knew that in my area, I'm required to have my gas company install the stove and do a leak check. We bought a Maytag washer and dryer here. We brought the washer home same day as it was on the floor. 2 months later the pump goes. Lowe's was absolutely zero help and pretty much told us not there problem. Takes over 2 weeks to get it fixed (Maytag was useless as well). We then pick up the dryer today and put a small load in to dry, the thing is squeaking very loudly. Call Lowe's to let them know and would like to return it and just get another one. There response was that it's been sitting here for 6 months so not sure if they can do anything about it, mind you the guy obviously can't count since it's only been 2 months. Point is it's been sitting in there store in the box and we just picked it up today. I would expect better customer service but apparently they don't care at all about them selling faulty appliances. I really like the way Lowes sets up their store and keeps it clean for the customer. When I was in here over the weekend, I went shopping for a few things, and was able to find everything I needed. Although two of the items were not made for quality (in the line if smaller toolboxes) I was able to pick out an item that few stores nearby me varied for as cheep a price as Lowes(a set of knives to work on woodworking hobbies with). Keep up the good work. Oh, the moment after I existed the store, you're assistive wagon/wheelchair stopped working and wouldn't allow me to bring the wagon back in so it sat on the store entrance area waiting for someone to back it into the right spot. I recently bought a refrigerator from Lowe's that was supposed to be "brand new." After owning the appliance for about a month, I noticed it was barely keeping cold and my food began to spoil. I misplaced my receipt and gave them my cell number and other information that I put down when purchasing my refrigerator. After contacting Lowe's and spending nearly 5 hours on the phone with customer service, I was told that it would be almost a month before somebody could come look at my refrigerator. A couple weeks later a maintenance worker showed up to fix it, but because I didn't have some of the information that was on the receipt, he said there was nothing he could do. After nearly breaking down in tears, he felt so bad that he fixed my refrigerator for me. While fixing it, he asked, "Are you sure you bought this brand new and not refurbished?" and I replied, "Yes, of course." He said it seems like somebody resealed parts on my freezer door. A couple of weeks went buy and it seemed to be working. Then we noticed cold drinks were warm and meat wasn't staying fresh, and it wasn't functioning again. My father, who is quite the handy man, came over and fixed it himself. After dealing with the nightmare that Lowe's put me through before, I was happy that my father could fix it and moved on with the situation. A couple of weeks went by and it got warm again. And the cycle continues, my dad fixes it, it starts breaking again, etc. I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from LOWE'S AGAIN. read more

Please DO NOT purchase any large appliances from this store! The Customer Service is worthless, and getting anyone on the phone is a nightmare. I purchased a Maytag front loader and a dryer on 5/24/21. The dryer is on backorderd until December. My new washer was delivered on 5/26 and I immediately noticed a problem with the spin cycle. I re-read the manual to make sure I wasn't missing something. I tried to contact the store and was told I needed to call a service number. The repairman came to check the problem and said it was a faulty spin mechanism and the machine would need to be replaced. I was on hold at the store multiple times and the Customer Service number for hours!!!!! Horrible horrible Customer Service and clearly Lowe's could careless.
