Screwed again today! Called ahead to get air filter for my JD mower. Quoted 18 dollars on the phone. Napa had it for 21 in Nassau. I chose PLT because it was closer (30 minutes instead of 40) and it was cheaper. Got there ant price magically went up to 30 dollars. My fault, I was screwed by them once before. Sold me a starter solenoid for $120. Told me it was a specific to that Mule. Turned out the Bendix was bad also and Day's Repair (AWSOME!!) fixed it and said that was a 30 dollar common solenoid. Sad - I want to support the local guy but gouged to many times. read more

DONT BUY PARTS HERE! As far as their parts department goes, you are better off with any online retailer. Not only do they charge higher prices, but if you do like I did and decide to support local business despite the prices, you'll find yourself screwed out of $120 or more. Thank god there are 1,000 places to buy everything you need online!! I purchased a rubber carburetor boot from them 11 months ago for my snowmobile for $120 (which is ridiculous for a piece of rubber with a metal plate in it, but that's Bombardier's fault). I put about 20 hours on the sled with the new part. I store my sled in a heated garage all year long with my other 3. When I went to dust off the sled for the upcoming season I very quickly see that the piece of junk part they sold me is basically crumbling apart! When I call to see if they would replace it free of charge, given the amount of money I spend there every year, they told me the manufacturers warranty is only good for 90 days. It shouldn't matter! They should replace it because I bought it from them and it was defective. I'm extremely disappointed with them, and I will no longer be purchasing a damn thing from that store. For $120 they lost a customer who has a family with 4 sleds that every year need oil, helmets, tracks, and many random parts. I spent SO much there, but not any more. None of my riding buddies will either after they hear this BS. Great way to do business guys! read more

Had an issue with my JLG Lift recently and the parts department were more then helpful. I spoke to them on the phone, they sent me parts drawings so I could verify what I needed. Ordered it , it came within a week. Very pleased with this company. Much better experience then my last experience with a JLG service company in the Pioneer Valley read more

Purchased my JD tractor 4 years ago from the folks in Pittsfield. I ran into an issue with my mower deck last week. I called the service department to explain the issue. They were very helpful over the phone helping me troubleshoot. Unsuccessful fixing myself I made an appointment and explained I would be trailering the machine from Albany NY. Great place to do business. Called about a tractor one day, went the next to look at it, and the next day they had it delivered to our farm. They had everything we were looking for and more. We ended up leaving with a tractor, 3 snowmobile helmets and a part for another tractor on the farm. Lots of Great Products and Quality Service but Pricey. I have bought a few things there including a lawn tractor. Pretty much full MSRP is what you pay. Recently took my JD x320 in for a simple service - oil change, blade sharpening, air/fuel filters, and plugs and they charged $228 for just the labor (about $285 total). I would never have "thunk" it would be that high - I will do it myself next time. And when you are not buying a full sized tractor or heavy equipment, it's my experience that they can be a little curt with you, as though you are an annoyance to their otherwise huge business. The problem is there are not too many choices in the immediate area, other than small mom and pop shops that are of dubious duration or quality. I will likely keep bringing my money there but I wish there were better options. read more

The gentleman "Mark" walked my through all the accessories and never was pushy or tried to sell me things I wouldn't need.
