Wanted to give Lowes another chance because they have great pricing. Unfortunately another terrible experience. I went during my lunch hour to purchase appliances. There were two people in front of me and I waited THIRTY FIVE MINUTES because the male associate answered a phone and left to find a water filter instead of assisting me. Their website advertises next day delivery except they said I won't be able to get any of my items delivered until July 27th because my appliances will not be available until then. I know it's not the appliance associate's (who was a female and was actually helpful so kudos to her) fault for the delivery date but the site advertises in big letter FREE NEXT DAY DELIVERY. So what I'm frustrated with is this The male appliance associates wasting my lunch hour time for not helping me when I was there before the phone call! My husband and I decided to have a vinyl privacy installed and we went to our local LOWES to schedule an install sadly thinking if there were any problems with the contractor we would have LOWES support because we were hiring them!! They hired , a fence company out of Indiana, called Render Fences. I apologize for the long post however I promise you is all relevant and accurate!! My experience with RENDER FENCE company has been beyond infuriating and disappointing, Sadly my experience is not an isolated issue. If you search their reviews and people's posts you will see it is an absolutely horrible company. Their customer service is the ABSOLUTE WORST of any company I have ever dealt with! Kara is the project manager we were assigned and she has done absolutely nothing to support us!! She NEVER returns phone calls, I left many many messages for her and she never returned any of them but when I called from a phone number that she didn't recognize she magically answered the phone. I expressed my concerns to her and requested 4 times to speak with the manager or owner which she refused!! She simply said I will get back with you and she NEVER DID! The contractor they sent out no showed on 4 different days! The project was promised to be completed in 2 days, but it actually took 12 days!! The contractor they sent out did not come equipped with the tools needed to do the job, the fence sections are different sizes, the fence was moved and it isn't on our property now, the gate doesn't close, NO CONCRETE was placed outside /around the hollow posts to support them, the fence is sitting on the ground in many many places, it has giant holes around most of the posts where the dirt is caving in because there is absolutely NO concrete on the outside of the hollow poles. The fence lasted 5 days and it is leaning and falling down. I paid $10,000 for this fence and there is absolutely NOTHING done correctly!! It is an absolute train wreck I am positive Kindergartners would have done a better job! Even LOWES states it needs to be torn down and started over! The gate doesn't close at all. The hardware is so scratched up from the gate dragging across it when we try to close the gate! The contractor YOU sent out did not have the tools needed to do the job and used mine. The fence is no longer even on our property!! The sections of fence are all different widths because they put a different number of panels in each section which caused them to end the fence short of the house!! There is ABSOLUTELY nothing done correctly and RENDER FENCE is taking 0 responsibility for the contractor THEY chose! I did not choose them and was not even allowed to know the name of them prior to them finally showing at my house. Most likely because they knew they were not a reputable business and I would find out ! All while this nightmare is going on we are contacting LOWES multiple times a day trying to get support and they just simply do not return phone calls or emails! There has been absolutely NO SUPPORT FROM LOWES (which is who we hired) . We have gone into our local Lowe's store in Jackson mi and spoke. With the store manager several times who just keeps telling us yeah that fence is garbage and needs to be torn down and put up correctly but there isn't anything I can do about it! Lowe's corporate just care either, we just simply are not important enough to get support!! LOWES , a multi million dollar company could not be bothered with this $10,000 nightmare!! . I had a 30 inch sink base with double stainless sink. Ordered my countertop with the integrated sink built in. Going into a 30 inch sink base. They gave me a 21 inch sink and after it was installed when questioned they said the contractor only offers them a 21 inch integrated sink. The designer at Lowe's that is what they called the sales person never told me it would only be 21 inches after she knew I hated the split sink and was excited to get a larger single bowl sink. Only thing that showed up on all the contracts were their codes and now they are saying oh well it's your fault for not asking. Yes my fault for not asking but not my fault that she sat there knowing I was going around measuring sinks and saying yes I'll stick with my 30 inch sink base because the sink should be 26-28 inches large. Paperwork says large single bowl sink. Yes a larger integrated sink can be installed just not through Lowe's because their subcontractor only gives them a 21 inch sink. No one at the store or corporate will even try and make this right with me. read more

We recently returned from a three week trip to find a non-functioning freezer filled with rotten stinky meat, ect. The urgency was to get the stinky freezer removed from our home. I called around and Lowes had the shortest delivery time. We went to the Jackson store appliance dept and were greeted by Mike. He was knowledgeable and professional. His service helped us select a freezer I am confident we will enjoy. We highly recommend asking for Mike if he is available. Our new freezer was delivered promptly the following day. ***** read more

We went into this with so much hope and happiness. I ordered a new toilet for my brother and the girl said they would call that night to schedule the installation. Never heard another word for 3 days. Called the store and the customer service girl said "We don't do installations, but subcontract it out to Handy Industries." I called Handy Industries and the first menu option is if it's for Wayfare, Wal-Mart, or Lowes. When I talked to the Handy person, whose English was a second language, he said they would call to schedule the installation within 72 hours. Five days later still waiting for the call. Finally canceled the order. We just don't understand why Lowe's the Home Improvement Store can not install a toilet in over a week. read more

I contracted with Lowe's for the installation of ten Pella windows, with a stated completion date of November 28, 2025. The project was initially delayed because several weeks passed before the order was placed with Pella. Installation was subsequently scheduled for January 15-16, with the assurance that the dates would be moved up if weather permitted. However, we were never notified of any opportunity to accelerate the timeline. The installers began work on January 15 but completed only the interior portion of six of the ten windows before leaving, stating they would return when weather conditions allowed. A new completion date of February 13 was later provided. However, Lowe's did not communicate a confirmed arrival time for the crew. I was required to call the morning of February 13 to verify that the installers would be coming. The crew arrived at approximately 9:30 a.m. and departed at 4:00 p.m., advising that they might return the following day. Upon further inquiry, I was informed that they had run out of materials and that the remaining items would need to be specially ordered from Pella. During the week of February 16, I received multiple phone calls offering assurances, yet no one was able to confirm that the necessary materials were actually ordered. As of February 18, we had no clear timeline for when the material shortage would be resolved or when the installation would be completed. Beyond the scheduling delays, we have been unable to realize the anticipated energy-efficiency benefits of the new windows during extreme winter temperatures in Michigan. As a result, our energy bills increased significantly, compounding the financial impact of these delays. The ongoing lack of communication and failure to complete the project in a timely manner interfered wih our planned out-of-state vacation and created additional inconvenience for our family while we are away. Completion was final in May 2026 with a contracted date of November 2025. DO NOT FALL FOR LOWE'S DELIVERY PROMOTIONS, AS THEY ARE NOT CAPABLE OF SUCCESSFULLY EXECUTING A CONTRACT. read more

He helped with everything from getting a great designer in Jessica, to help when one cabinet was damaged upon delivery. He jumped in and got the replacement sent quickly. I was into Lowes to buy a home water softener. The house I was putting it in had CPVC plumbing running to the one I was taking out. As I was doing this on a week end for family, I did not have my full compliment of tools to completely replumb the fixture, I thought it would be easy to buy the water softener and the fixtures to install it. What a misconception on my part. The softener has 1" male connectors on the Bypass Valve. The plumbing running to the softener was 3/4" CPVC. No where in Lowes was there any 1" female pipe thread connectors, unless I wanted to go with copper fittings to be sweated. That would me a whole new replumbing if the area in the house where the softener was going. I couldn't get any help from anyone that even closely understood plumbing or the products that Lowes carries. Wasted an hour. I went to Home Depot down the road on Wisner. Within 20 minutes, I had everything I needed, was out the door, loaded and headed to the house to install a water softener. Moral of the story...Go to home Depot and save yourself time, money and hassle. read more

Their left had doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Bottom line. We purchased hardwood and installation from them and they sold us 5 boxes too much of the hardwood flooring. Then, they were suppose to install carpeting in our bedroom and the installers couldn't figure out the correct way to remove our closet doors. They are typical double fold doors. They said someone would hAve to come out the following day to complete installation. That's tomorrow. We shall see if they can compete the job. With discount. Stellar communication. Two weeks later, we received our new washer but the dryer won't be here for another week. They called three times to confirm delivery of the washer, when Hubs would follow up with " the dryer too?" He'd always get a resounding "Yes!" . They really don't have a clue. read more

Unbelievable service after they got our money they were done. delivery was a mess called wrong number never showed up on the schedule day then said they would deliver on Saturday never showed up following week should be there in am and it is now 9:00 pm no sign of deliver. No compe until item is delivered now why would I inquire about compensation if it was delivered? The whole entire experience was HORRIBLE. Was called by an associate when order arrived in store to give them an hour heads up. I called today at 10 and let them know we would be there at 5:30 for pick up. We were right on time with a truck and flat bed trailer for easy pick up. When we got there, we were told by the first associate that they didn't have everything in stock, however we got an email stating it was. He stood around waiting for someone else to help for 30 mins. After a second employee came to help, they both stood there clueless. One of them looked for the PALLETS of flooring and returned 15 minutes later saying he couldn't find it. I spoke with a manager, and he handed it off for another worker to work on. That worker went to look for it and almost 45 minutes later, she located it. It took another 20 minutes for one pallet and 15 min after for the other pallet. Once they were both out there, we inspected them, boxes were busted open, flooring was busted, bent and bowed, corners chipped and whole pieces broke. After speaking with a different manager, she was going to give us 50% off ONE box when there was at least 6 messed up boxes, if not more. A return was done on all items that totaled over $4k. We will not be reordering flooring from Lowe's or anything else, ever again. Customer service was poor and the respect of ordered product was none existent. VERY DISAPPOINTED. When we order pick up, we should not be there for OVER two hours waiting on busted up products. read more

It's difficult to write about retail chains; they very so little between facilities. What I can say is that my friend and I made two trips to this Lowe's early yesterday morning. We were attempting to break down a couch in order to get it out of the house (I recently moved and wanted to do away with some things that were left). Both Lowe's runs were met with poor customer service. One gal walked by me as I asked her for help. Another said she'd get someone else to help me (I was only asking where the Alan wrenches were). We have never had a project be so frustrating. We had a fence installed and there was one issue after another. Bottom line, our 1 day fence install that started on May 19, was completed June 3. I was the one who called them for follow up, several times, which should have never happened. Blame this one, blame that one. I still have no idea of what the real truth is. One excuse after another. Customer service is the WORST, including corporate. I have been waiting for a month to get someone to call and just apologize for how terrible they treat their customers. Ordered a new storm door in June of 2017; never heard anything from the store. In early July I went to the store seeking information. Waited at the service desk for a long time and finally someone came and spent a great deal of time looking for the order. He finally found it and said we still owed $66.00 which I paid immediately. Sometime in early August an installer called and said he would install the door the next day. We were leaving the city for the weekend. That is the last we heard from anyone until November 13 when there was a message on our phone to call the store for an installation date. I have called the store three times and talked to three people and nobody seems to know where the door is, or who the person was who left the phone message. Nobody can tell me who the installer is or how to contact him. They have no intelligent process of dealing with situations. If I could give this store negative stars, I would. Went in today to simply ASK about price matching another Lowe's location. The "lead cashier" was extremely rude to me and passed me off to the manager because she didn't think I should be able to price match an item that was over half off. The manager was even worse. She involved two more workers, and so I had 4 employees in all, yelling at me, making rude comments, causing a scene, etc.; all because I asked if they would price match some items. You would have thought that I had just walked out of the store with a cart full of stolen items!!! Very unprofessional and rude employees!!! Spoke with the store manager about the situation and he laughed and said "oh. sorry that happened to you" and hung up on me!!! I usually love Lowe's and have been a dedicated customer for years! Usually they have great customer service! However, I just recently retired from the military moved to a new location. I love the fact that Lowe's offers a 10% military discount to military members, but this location that I have moved near is awful, and this situation was a little much, and so I will not be returning to this location! read more

I ordered a gas stove for $850.00 on February 25,2017. I was told it would be delivered on march 1, 2017. I called lowes on march 1,2017 they stated it was out of stock, it would be in store and delivered to my house on march 3,2017. I had not heard anything so I called lowes again on march 3,2017 to hear "systems are down". Then someone calls me @ 3:30 march 3,2017 to say my stove will be delivered march 9,2017.
